    My website has crashed a few days ago. The hosting company says some innodb database crashed. They sent a MySql data folder. I tried to restore the database, but phpmyadmin is only showing MyISAM tables. I checked the database with navicat. When I click innodb table, I got this error table 'xyz.wp_posts' doesn't exist. is there anyway to fix this on windows?   • Run a MongoDB configuration server without 3GB of journal files

    For a production sharded MongoDB installation we need 3 configuration servers. According to the documentation "the config server mongod process is fairly lightweight and can be ran on machines performing other work". However, in the default configuration, they all have journalling enabled, and with preallocation this takes up 3 GB of disk space. I assume that the actual data and transaction volume of a config server is quite small, so that this seems a bit too much. Is there a way to (safely!) run these config servers with much less disk use for the journal? Do I need journalling at all on config servers? Can I set the journal size to be smaller?

  • Enter key on Mac OS X renames files instead of launching

    On my Mac when I hit the "enter" key on a file on my desktop or in the finder, it enters the "rename file" mode. 1) How do you actually "launch" or "open" (i.e. double click) the file with only the keyboard? In Windows, the Enter key does this. 2) Is there a way to map the Enter key to do this in Mac instead of rename? Honestly, it makes little sense to me. I mean, how often do you rename something? Once, maybe. How often do you open something? Lots and lots of times.

  • Expanding Files 0%, error 0x80070017 Windows 7 x64 RTM

    I have downloaded Windows 7 x64 from MSDN. I have checked the hash of the file and it is correct. I have them made a bootble USB stick (http://kmwoley.com/blog/?p=345 (had to use my vista bootsect.exe as running 32bit at the moment). When I boot from the USB it fails when expanding the file. It stays on 0% and fails after around 90 seconds. The error is 0x80070017. As the hash is correct and I am using USB I guess it could be a hardware problems. Any advice how to get Windows 7 installed? The machine is a Dell Studio Slim.

  • NetBeans not able to include files

    IDE: NetBeans 6.8 OS: Fedora 12 I have been having this problem for a long time now. NetBeans is almost impossible to use with C/C++, maybe because it was not made for it in first place. Anyways what happens is this: I have this setup for C/C++ But, the programs are displayed like this: It is not able to find any header file!! I know it is a C++ program, the same thing happens with #include <cstdio>. As a result, it is not able to find the definition of printf and fails. Same thing happens with a .c file. Also, gcc works fine from the command line. Did someone face this problem before? What do I need to do to make this work?

  • Is there a way to import email from the raw email files?

    I have a client who recently switched hosts. When they switched hosts they didn't backup their email and updated their configuration settings so they lost everything. However, I was able to log in to their old hosting control panel and download their mail folder. I am wondering if there is a way to extract their emails and/or contacts from the files. I'm not sure what type of files they are, there is no extension, but the folder directory is structured like this: mail/ .Drafts/ .Sent/ .Trash/ cur/ new/ theirdomain.com/ tmp/ [email protected] maildir Inside of the theirdomain.com folder, there is a folder for each account and inside of that is a folder called "cur" which has a whole bunch of files with names like 1292945327.H169813P25958.uscentral21.myserverhosts.com,S=10117/2,S and if I preview those files I can see the actual email messages inside of them but I have no idea how to get that information from those files to an email client. Anyone know of a way to work with these files? Thanks in advance for any insight you can share!

I want to copy a large amount of data over from the HDD to the USB drive with integrity checking. I thought about copying everything over and then checking with md5summer but this would take a reaally long time because its a lot of data and this is not a very powerful PC. What tool can use to do this on Linux?

  • Samba users are writing files with the same owner

    I created a Samba share and 3 users (Marc, Mary and Paul), both in Ubuntu (12.04 LTS) and Samba. Then I configured 3 Win7 computers to access the share, each with different credentials. I created 3 folders, one for every user, and chown'd them to the related user, chmod'd them to 0700 and even restarted Samba. Every time that Mary or Paul create a file or a directory in the share, it ends up to be owned by Marc. They all can access the Marc folder, but none can open Mary's or Paul's. Can you help me with this problem? What am I missing?

  • Setting Up Apache as a Forward Proxy with Cahcing

    I am trying to set up Apache as a forward proxy with caching, but it does not seem to be working correctly. Getting Apache working as a forward proxy was no problem, but no matter what I do it is not caching anything, to disk or memory. I already checked to make sure nothing is conflicting in the mods_enabled directory with mod_cache (ended up commenting it all out) and also I tried moving all of the caching related fields to the configuration file for mod_cache. In addition I set up logging for caching requests, but nothing is being written to those logs.   • Unable to install bin files.(No such file or directory error)

    I wanted to install adobe reader on my ubuntu 10.10(Maverick Meerkat).I have downloaded the file and copied it on my desktop.I had then browsed to the desktop directory through command line terminal.   • Moving MODx Files to Other MODx Website

    I have one website with modx installed to www.website.com/modx/ --- Keep in mind there are other Websites In Progress on this storage server. My issue is that I'm moving all this: templates, template variables, chunks, snippets, etc to another server that already has modx installed in it. My first instinct is to go to phpMyAdmin and export the sql file and import them to the new website's server. However, an error occurred when I attempted to do this. It had found many duplicates in fields that were associated a PK (due to it being the same website just a redesign). I don't have to go and dump the table of the oldsite and then upload the new sql file do i? Please advise.

I want to set some kind of handler or use a mod to return HTTP/1.1 206 when the extension of the file requested is .mp4 so it can do video seeking, my web server is already returning some headers to do seeking, but it doesn't work.     There are two internal domains, domainA and domainB at my workplace. I could remote into machines from either domains by using respective credentials. My doubt is if I create a shared folder on domainA with read access to everyone for e.g., \\server1.domainA.net\sharedfolder. Will I be able to access this folder by just entering the path likewise from any machine in domainB without entering credentials.

  • How to set the VirtualDocumentRoot based on the files within

    I'm trying to set up Apache to use the VirtualDocumentRoot directive but my sites aren't all exactly the same. Most of the sites have a drupal folder which should be the root but there are a few really old drupal sites, a few rails sites, some django sites, etc. that want the Document root to be / or some other folder. Is there a way to set up VirtualDocumentRoot based on a conditional or is there a way to use RewriteRule/Cond to detect that / is the incorrect folder if there is a drupal folder or a public folder? Full view is like http://mydomain.tld/converter/task/setComplete/fid/34330/fn/7c2cfed32ec2eef6788e728fa46f7a80.ppt.swf. Despite the fact these URLs ends in such a format they are not static, but fake script requests, so I have a problems with them. What is the best way to do this? How can I add an exclusion for this URL or maybe I can to exclude the specific file exptension (.ppt.swf, pptx.swf) from the list of this Nginx location? Thanks.

    When I try clicking on a zip file link on a web page, IE 7 tries to open it as an XML document and displays: The XML page cannot be displayed Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again. I get around this by right-clicking and using Save Target As... Double clicking on a .zip in the file system opens my zip program without problems. How do I fix this problem?

    When I plug my Canon PowerShot digital camera into Snow Leopard, it automatically opens iPhoto and asks to import the pictures, but does not mount the camera on the desktop (from what I read, it's a Canon feature to prevent people from screwing up the file system on the memory card, or something). Is there a way I can move photos I've already imported back on to the camera? I can't seem to figure out how to move stuff from Snow Leopard to the camera using iPhoto, and since it doesn't mount....

I already tried using: Photorec Recuva Tune up undelete Pareto data recovery chkdsk x: /F from here: http://superuser.com/questions/128259/how-to-recover-images-from-memory-card But none of them worked. I think I've only lost the data yesterday. And I haven't used the camera. So there's a possibility that it is still there. But the question is how I can recover the images? I think its lost when I tried to connect the digicam with the computer. But the camera froze so I tried to remove the batteries then try again.
