  • Django apache-wsgi configuration problem

    Hi, I am trying to get my Django project running on the production server. I setup the environment using pip, so it is identical to the development environment where everything is running fine. The only difference is that I don't use virtualenv on production, because this project is the only one that is going to run on production. Also on production, there is an Nginx reverse proxy to serve static content, and passes dynamic requests to Apache2. The Apache wsgi file is as follows: import sys, os sys.path.append('/home/project/src') os.environ['DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE'] = 'settings' import django.core.handlers.wsgi application = django.core.handlers.wsgi.WSGIHandler() When I access the server, I get an import error: ImproperlyConfigured: Error importing middleware middleware: "cannot import name UserProfile" Which refers to the middleware.py under src/ folder which is referred by the settings. But I can import both the middleware and the UserProfile class from within ./manage.py shell prompt. It seems like a problem with paths in wsgi file but I cannot see what. The directory structure is: /home/project /home/project/src (which contains the settings.py, middleware.py and app folders) /home/apache/apache.wsgi Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, oMat

  • Splitting EJBs and interfaces into separate module -- deployment fails

    I'm having trouble following this guide to "extract" my interfaces and entities from my EAR to use them from another Web Application: I use NetBeans 6.8 and Glassfish 3.0.1 "Java Class Library" project contains all the entities and interfaces "Java EE Application" project class library added to the project, is packaged into the EAR contains EJB implementations, MDBs, Test "Java Web Application" project class library added to the project, is packaged into the WAR contains REST interface When I build and deploy the Web Application, all goes well. When I build the JEE application, I can see the jar-file (interfaces, entities) being included.   • Simple github fetch/merge not pulling in remote branch?

    I have a project I forked on github to my repository. I made changes on the "experiment" branch of the project the committed the project to my fork. If you go to my branch on Github you can see the that the experiment branch was correctly committed. I would like to merge the experiment branch with the original repo (which I have rights to). I issued the following commands: git clone [email protected]:originalrepo/theproject.git git checkout -b experiment origin/experiment cd theproject git remote add experiment [email protected]:chumofchance/theproject.git git fetch experiment git merge experiment "Already up to date" However, when I view the project in explorer, it appears that nothing has changed. Am I screwing something up in regards to fetching the experiment branch (vs the master branch)?

  • How do I change an existing XCode target from dynamic to static?

    I'm working with an existing project that produces a dynamic library (Cocoa API). I'd rather generate a static library, but if I change the [Linking|Mach-O Type] field from "Dynamic Library" to "Static Library", both the Clean Project and Build Project complain that the target has an invalid MACH_O_TYPE value of 'staticlib'. Is there a straightforward way to get the build to produce a static .a file? Thanks, Eric

    Does anyone know how to delete all VB code form an Excel workbook using C#? This code doesn’t work. It removes first (last one) VBComponent, but rises ArgumentException on second one.   • What's a good library to do computational geometry (like CGAL) in a garbage-collected language?

    I need a library to handle computational geometry in a project, especially boolean operations, but just about every feature is useful. The best library I can find for this is CGAL, but this is the sort of project I would hesitate to make without garbage collection. What language/library pairs can you recommend? So far my best bet is importing CGAL into D. There is also a project for making Python bindings for CGAL, but it's very incomplete.
