    Is there a way to transfer C++ preprocessor definitions into a custom pre-link step procedure call as a command-line parameter or export them into a file any other way? Example: Let's say, I have a c++ project, and in it's Debug configuration I put a preprocessor definition like MAKUMBA_OBA=0x13 Then I add custom pre-link step which executes some javascript like sarahjessicaparker.js /to tomsrhinoplasty $(MAKUMBA_OBA) It would be great, if it just worked, but I never get a third parameter in my js. So the question is: how to pass a preprocessor definition to s script?

  • Make subfolder the root folder for everything in subfolder

    Hi there. I am working on a project that i host on my server. My server is mydomain.com and i want my project to run in mydomain.com/project. I wish to put an htaccess file in the project subfolder, so that in every file of the project, / will point to mydomain.com/project instead of mydomain.com So / will be mydomain/project, /lib/img will be mydomain/project/lib/img, etc. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • Best practices for resending to hard bounced emails after X days

    If I see an email returned due to a hard bounce, after how many days is it acceptable to resend to that email address. It is possible for emails to be reactivated or for temporary outages, so it doesn't make sense to keep an email in my hard bounce email list forever. I've already seen cases where I receive emails from addresses that were put in my hard bounce email list months ago. Any recommendations? Are there specific recommendations from ISPs?

    Hi, I have a table view with a list of hotel, and i want put in cell.detailTextLabel.text the distance beetween userlocation and hotel. How can obtain the coordinates of userlocation? I see on web that i need to use CLLocationManager but i don't understand how and where implement in my table view. Then,to get the distance,i do a "getDistancefrom" between userLocation and the coordinates of the hotel ? Thanks

  • Java constructor with large arguments or Java bean getter/setter approach

    Hi, I can't decide which approach is better for creating objects with a large number of fields (10+) (all mandatory) the constructor approach of the getter/setter. Constructor at least you enforce that all the fields are set. Java Beans easier to see which variables are being set instead of a huge list. The builder pattern DOES NOT seem suitable here as all the fields are mandatory and the builder requires you put all mandatory parameters in the builder constructor. Thanks, D

    I'm attempting to track my dependencies with git-submodules in my rails app. So far I've added submodules for things like, haml, shoulda, authlogic, etc to 'vendor/plugins'. I've seen indications that I should be using 'vendor/gems' instead though. Question, which directory is the appropriate place to put dependencies being tracked as submodules? Is the choice arbitrary?   • Recommendations for a C++ polymorphic, seekable, binary I/O interface

    I've been using std::istream and ostream as a polymorphic interface for random-access binary I/O in C++, but it seems suboptimal in numerous ways: 64-bit seeks are non-portable and error-prone due to streampos/streamoff limitations; currently using boost/iostreams/positioning.hpp as a workaround, but it requires vigilance Missing operations such as truncating or extending a file (ala POSIX ftruncate) Inconsistency between concrete implementations; e.g. stringstream has independent get/put positions whereas filestream does not Inconsistency between platform implementations; e.g. behavior of seeking pass the end of a file or usage of failbit/badbit on errors Don't need all the formatting facilities of stream or possibly even the buffering of streambuf streambuf error reporting (i.e. exceptions vs. returning an error indicator) is supposedly implementation-dependent in practice I like the simplified interface provided by the Boost.Iostreams Device concept, but it's provided as function templates rather than a polymorphic class. (There is a device class, but it's not polymorphic and is just an implementation helper class not necessarily used by the supplied device implementations.) I'm primarily using large disk files, but I really want polymorphism so I can easily substitute alternate implementations (e.g. use stringstream instead of fstream for unit tests) without all the complexity and compile-time coupling of deep template instantiation. Does anyone have any recommendations of a standard approach to this? It seems like a common situation, so I don't want to invent my own interfaces unnecessarily. As an example, something like java.nio.FileChannel seems ideal. My best solution so far is to put a thin polymorphic layer on top of Boost.Iostreams devices.     We have a server with a database that has a symmetric key (Database - Security - Symmetric Key). We have a backup duplicate databases that we are using as a test databases, but we don't have this key in there. How can I duplicate this symmetric key (or make a new one exactly like the old) and put it in the existing databases? It has to have the same value and key-name as the other one. This is on SQL Server 2008.

  • Non Document Centric SharePoint Workflow

    SharePoint workflows are document centric in that the base thing the workflow runs on has to be a thing; be it a document or just a list item. The workflow itself is task based, so stuff a user has to do. Now I can put any sort of code in these tasks that I want to and even put complex InfoPath forms in for the user to perform the task. This has been fine on all my previous workflows. But what if I want the tasks to be actual official forms themselves. The item that the workflow runs on is just some abstract concept like an event. An example could be an accident has happened. There isn't an accident form, but a whole set of forms that need to be completed by different people. Task forms aren't really a nice way to go, because it locks all the forms into the task list. You can only access the forms by not deleting the tasks when complete and going to the workflow summery and following the task links to the InfoPath forms or going straight to the tasks list and doing a filter on particular "accidents". These are official documents so ideally there would be a library for each type of document and the workflow would orchestrate the completion of the right forms. It would mean each task would have to create a new blank form and then link the user to that form. The user would go complete the form but then have to go back to the task form and click yes I've completed it until the workflow could progress. Well this is short of the workflow monitoring the forms library form for some completion trigger. But then it all gets messy with the user experience from clicking the link in the task email, to open the Infopath task form, to clicking the link in the subsequent Infopath library form and then return through these forms on completion. It just gets messy trying to retrofit this non document centric sort of workflow into SharePoint. I would really appreciate any input on what might be the best way to do this. Store the forms as task forms Store the forms as library forms and create/link from the task forms Store the forms as different infopath views, and use a forms library. The workflow would trigger variables that progress the view the infopath form shows. Using the same form template for both task forms and a forms library and when a task form is complete, copy the xml into the forms library to have a official record outside of the workflow. Thanks

    I don't understand how to make a connection with nitrogen and couchdb using ecouch, because I have a error on this connection CAUGHT ERROR: error-undef [{ecouch,db_info,["test_suite_db"]} I put ecouch in my erlang library path and I create a symlink to support/include.mk (even I don't know if it has necessary). Or if anyone know a database how can connect with nitrogen and who to make this connection.
