  • C# Reading a file and writing out replacing string

    What I have is a C# windows app that reads a bunch of SQL tables and creates a bunch of queries based on the results. What I'm having a small issue with is the final "," on my query This is what I have ColumnX, from I need to read the entire file, write out exactly what is in the file and just replace the last , before the from with nothing.   • web-development: how do you usually handle the "under costruction" page"?

    hi, I was wondering what's the best way to switch a website to a temporary "under costruction" page and switch it back to the new version. For example, in a website, my customer decided to switch from Joomla to Drupal and I had to create a subfolder for the new CMS, and then move all the content to the root folder. 1) Moving all the content back to the root folder always create some problems with file permissions, links, etc... 2) Creating a rewrite rule in .htaccess or forward with php is not a solution because another url is shown including the top folder. 3) Many host services do not allow to change the root directory, so this is not an option since I don't have access to apache config file. SELECT tl.*, (tl.topic_total_rating/tl.topic_rates) as topic_rating, COUNT(pl.post_id) - 1 as reply_count, MIN(pl.post_time) AS topic_time, MAX(pl.post_time) AS topic_bump FROM topic_list tl JOIN post_list pl ON tl.topic_id=pl.post_parent WHERE tl.topic_board_link = %i AND topic_hidden != 1 ORDER BY %s I have two tables (post_list and topic_list), and post_list's post_parent links to a topic_list's topic_id. Instead of returning all the topics (where their board's topic_board_link is n), it only returns one topic.

Right now I'm logging some info of the user in my web app in a log file to observe the usage & interest for some services, but I'm interested in checking that info in a readeable way, so I'm questioning if maybe I shall save that info in a database and then retrieve it to show it in tables or whatever. It's better to log in the database for my purposes? Or logging like now I could select/order the info of the log easily?

  • I need to programmatically remove a batch of unique constraints that I don't know the names of.

    I maintain a product that is installed at multiple locations which as been haphazardly upgraded. Unique constraints were added to a number of tables, but I have no idea what the names are at any particular instance. What I do know is the table/columnname pair that has the unique constraints and I would like to write a script to delete any unique constraint on these column/table combinations. This is MSSQL 2000 and later. Something that works on 2000/2005/2008 would be best!

But some other users have only currently datareader and datawriter rights ,and when they execute any SP referring the logic which uses the key and certificate "User does has not right on the certificate to execute".   • Model association changes in production environment, specifically converting a model to polymorphic?

    Hi everyone, I was hoping I could get feedback on major changes to how a model works in an app that is in production already. In my case I have a model Record, that has_many PhoneNumbers. Currently it is a typical has_many belongs_to association with a record having many PhoneNumbers. Of course, I now have a feature of adding temporary, user generated records and these records will have PhoneNumbers too. I 'could' just add the user_record_id to the PhoneNumber model, but wouldn't it be better for this to be a polymorphic association? And if so, if you change how a model associates, how in the heck would I update the production database without breaking everything? .< Anyway, just looking for best practices in a situation like this. Thanks!
