• Is it possible to change the pane locations in Chrome Developer Tools?

  When debugging browser-based apps using Google Chrome's Developer Tools, is there a way to change the locations of the various panes? E.g., the Watch Expressions, the Call Stack, the code pane, etc.? The defaults are okay (console at bottom, code pane upper left, a column of Watch Expressions, Call Stack, Scope Vars, etc. in the upper right), but I'd rather swap things around a bit of it's possible. There doesn't seem to be anything to grab (other than for sizing) and I haven't found a way in my searching so far, but there are (still) some things about Chrome's options that aren't ... well-advertised in the UI, shall we say :-), especially around developer tools.

  I use MS Visual Studio and I am new to C++, so I am just wondering if there is an faster more efficient way to do multiple test cases instead of keep clicking CTRL+F5 and re-opening the console many times. • JBoss as a windows service. Where can i set the JAVA_OPTS?

  hi. I'm running JBoss as a windows service, but i can't seem to find where i can configure the JAVA_OPTS to make it work properly. I need to set the Xms and the Xmx. I have tried to just run JBoss manually (run.bat) and in the same file i set the JAVA_OPTS= -Xms128m -Xmx512m. And that works. Here is my install.bat where i install the JBoss as a service: set JBOSS_CLASS_PATH=%JAVA_HOME%\lib\tools.jar;%JBOSS_HOME%\bin\run.jar rem copy /Y JavaService.exe D:\PROJECT\bin\JBossService.exe JBossService.exe -install JBoss %JAVA_HOME%\jre\bin\server\jvm.dll -Djava.class.path=%JBOSS_CLASS_PATH% -start org.jboss.Main -stop org.jboss.Shutdown -method systemExit -out %PROJECT_HOME%\log\JBoss_out.log -err %PROJECT_HOME%\log\JBoss_err.log -current D:\PROJECT\bin net start JBoss When i look at the info about JBoss Application Server (http://localhost:8080/web-console/) i see this info: JVM Environment Free Memory: 9 MB Max Memory: 63 MB Total Memory: 63 MB And i MUST have more Max Memory. • Appengine (python) returns empty for valid queries

  I've got an app with around half a million 'records', each of which only stores three fields. I'd like to look up records by a string field with a query, but I'm running into problems. If I visit the console page, manually view a record and save it (without making changes) it shows up in a query: SELECT * FROM wordEntry WHERE wordStr = 'SomeString' If I don't do this, I get 'no results'. Does appengine need time to update? If so, how much? (I was also having trouble batch deleting and modifying data, but I was able to break the problem up into smaller chunks.)

  Is there a way to get a list of the exposed functions from a Flash object? For example, you could get a list of all methods in an object by executing: for (var i in object) { if (typeof object[i] == "function") { console.log(i); } } The only issue is that this won't expose any methods registered through the ExternalInterfaces API. I can try and see if the function exists (object['method']) and it tells me it is a function, but I would have to guess every existing method in this manner. NOTE: Obviously, I don't have access to the actionscript.

• Twitter's Bootstrap 2.x popover callback can't focus on element

  I've modified bootstrap's popover function to include a callback which works great. But in the callback I cannot programmatically focus on the first form field. Strange, because I can manipulate other elements in the callback function as well as focus on the element at other points. I went in Billing Management Console/Bills section where when I click on Date, I can see months ranging from July 2013 to Nov 2013. From AWS FAQs I gathered When does the AWS free usage tier expire? The AWS free usage tier will expire 12 months from the date you sign up. So WHEN will my account expire, July 2014 (sign up date) or Oct 2014 (credit card details submission date) ?

The problem is that neither is working, and the error console shows "input.adjacent is not a function" I'm using prototype 1.6.1 and scriptaculous 1.8.3

But we need to be able to launch the youtube player by a means other than user tapping the video itself, for various reasons. So I am trying to figure out what event to trigger in javascript to make it happen with no luck.   Hi, I entered some products data into a table using a migration. I need to expire the page and fragment cache when I update, add, delete products from this table.   Hi, There seemes to be a consistent problem with the following situation: Say you have a VS2008 solution, consisting of a (say console) application written in vb.net, and a class library written in c#. The application references the class library project. This, of course, complies and works well. However, when you right-click (in the vb.net application code) a function prototype/object type defined in the class library, and select "Go to definition", the object browser opens providing you with the the list of methods available for the class the class library consists of. BAD. However, if you try to do the same when both the application and cl are in c#, this works just fine and you navigate driectly to the relevant function/class.GOOD. Known issue? Solvable?

  Hi All I have a simple EJB jar with a stateless session bean, deployed in JBOSS AS 4.2.2, unde r/server/default/deploy. The bean is registered under JNDI tree as viewed from jboss jmx console and I am able to access it through a remote java client outside JBOSS. Inside EJB jar, I have added some logging to be written to a separate log file, using apache log4j jar and log4j.xml. But I am not able to view any of the logs. Also I do not wish to use jboss-log4j.xml, since there will be many other EJBs to be deployed and wish to have separate log4j for each EJB application. Here is my one of the EJB-jar contents: EJB_DS.jar: log4j.xml classes apache log4j jar is added to /server/default/lib path.   Host Configuration: HP EliteBook 8530w 4G Ram Win7 Ultimate 64Bit RC SQL Server 2005 64bit Developer Edition Virtual: Windows Virtual PC 1G Ram allocated Integration Services installed Windows XP 64bit Up to date service packs and .Net framework through 3.5 SP1 Sharing the Gigabit network adapter of the Host I have a simple .Net console application which loads a dataset of approximately 37K rows. Running the application on the host executes in approximately 4 seconds. Running inside the virtual takes 729 seconds. The size of the application grows to about 65Mb when the dataset is finished loading, no calculated columns or event handlers are attached. [edit] I changed the virtual to use a loopback adapter to communicate with the host and performance is now on par with running on hardware. Any ideas as to why it would going over the network adapter be almost 200x longer? TraceRt shows that the connection is only one hop. Thanks, Shane Holder

• Can I get a faster output pipe than /dev/null ?

  Hi I am running a huge task [automated translation scripted with perl + database etc.] to run for about 2 weeks non-stop. While thinking how to speed it up I saw that the translator outputs everything (all translated sentences, all info on the way) to STDOUT all the time. This makes it work visibly slower when I get the output on the console. I obviously piped the output to /dev/null, but then I thought "could there be something even faster?" It's so much output that it'd really make a difference. And that's the question I'm asking You, because as far as I know there is nothing faster... (But I'm far from being a guru having used linux on a daily basis only last 3 years)

Recently I created a test GWT module, but eventually it has been deleted from the project and I can not find any sign of it in the project now. However, whenever I run the web app locally, I get in console the following message: Loading modules com.piq.exemity.Test [ERROR] Unable to find 'com/XXXXXX/Test.gwt.xml' on your classpath; could be a typo, or maybe you forgot to include a classpath entry for source? Has anyone got any idea where it can be hiding?

  I have an applet which loads nicely when accessed locally (both IE and Firefox). However, when I put my webpage in a webserver (local IPlanet), it refuses to load on Firefox (but still fine on IE).
