  • Get foreign key in external content type to show up in list view

    I have come across blogs about how to setup an external content type (e.g. http://www.dotnetmafia.com/blogs/dotnettipoftheday/archive/2010/02/02/it-s-easy-to-configure-an-external-list-with-business-connectivity-services-bcs-in-sharepoint-foundation-2010.aspx) but I have not seen any examples of what to do when your external SQL DB has foreign keys. For example. I have a database that has orders and customers. An order has one and only one customer and a customer can have many orders. How can I setup external content types in such a way that when in the list view of these external content types, I can jump between and possible lookup values to that other type?

    I have one asp.net web service (asmx) in separate project that is hosted on windows server having other asp.net web applications running on it. How can I restrict asp.net web service to be accessed by single IP address? I want that my web service must be accessed by one IP configured by me. If requests comes from any other IP, it must not reach to my web service and discarded by windows firewall itself. I know that this is something to do with windows firewall. I did it for SQL Server previously, but I don't know how to configure single asp.net web service project to do so.

  • Indy 10 FTP empty list

    Hello! I have been receiving reports from some of my users that, when using idFTP.List() from some servers (MS FTP) then the listing is received as empty (no files) when in reality there are (non-hidden) files on the current directory. May this be a case of a missing parser? The funny think, when I use the program to get the list from MY server (MSFTP on W2003) everything seems OK but on some servers I've been hitting this problem. Using latest Indy10 on D2010. Any idea?

  • Using NPS to restrict access to WLAN

    We currently have one WLAN that only domain users can connect to. We will be adding a guest WLAN and would like all non-domain machines to use this, even if a user has a domain account. We have set up NPS and can log in against it, but we can not restrict the connection option to be a domain computer AND a domain account. As a network policy it states that it moves along through each policy until it finds one that it accepts or runs out. For connection request policies Domain Computers is not an option. This is where I thought I may be able to stop it. Has anyone been able to successfully restrict this without manually adding MACs to the WLAN Controller?

    I'm going to deploy a pivotviewer application. As some of you might know this silverlight application load a .cxml index file for a group of images. My need is to make .cxml file and image files not accessible for the user. Now, if I don't have a need I usually code like this in C# and the file is hosted in the documentroot: _cxml = new CxmlCollectionSource(new Uri("http://www.myurl.it/Collection.cxml", UriKind.Absolute)); This means that my cxml and then the images are available by http for everyone who knows the URI. I'm a newbie to server configuration, so any help/hint would be deeply appreciated. Someone suggested me to take the files out of the root, but it seems like I can't go to pick them up if they are not a URL in Silverlight. At least I didn't managed to understand how. Someone else suggested me to play with web.config file to hide URLs, but I don't really know where to start. My question is, what's the best practice to hide my stuff? Obviously I can edit the question if you need more details.

Is it possible to reach each machine from the outside with something like: http://m1.username.dyndns.org http://m2.username.dyndns.org ? Do you know what needs to be configured in my router for NAT ?     I have an NSBitmapImageRep that is created like this: NSBitmapImageRep *imageRep = [[NSBitmapImageRep alloc] initWithBitmapDataPlanes:NULL pixelsWide:waveformSize.width pixelsHigh:waveformSize.height bitsPerSample:8 samplesPerPixel:4 hasAlpha:YES isPlanar:YES colorSpaceName:NSCalibratedRGBColorSpace bytesPerRow:0 bitsPerPixel:0]; Now I want to access the pixel data so I get a pointer to the pixel planes using unsigned char *bitmapData; [imageRep getBitmapDataPlanes:&bitmapData]; According to the Documentation this returns a C array of five character pointers. But how can it do that? since the type of the argument is unsigned char **, it can only return an array of chars, but not an array of char pointers. So, this leaves me wondering how to access the individual pixels. Do you have an idea how to do that? (I know there is the method – setColor:atX:y:, but it seems to be pretty slow if invoked for every single pixel of a big bitmap.)

When I press "show values" I get an error message: org.codehaus.groovy.runtime.typehandling.GroovyCastException: Cannot cast object 'foo' with class 'java.lang.String' to class 'java.lang.Class' How could I access the checkboxes for my action in the second panel by using the checkbox ids from optionsmap?   • Cannot access domain from windows 2003 client

    Hey all, First off I am a novice at AD and DNS so please bear with me. This is my current situation: I have one server which is a DC and DNS server (win2k3) - Machine 1. I have another machine which is trying to join this domain - Machine2. This machine is also a win2k3 server. This is what I have done so far: I have setup DNS on the DC and its tcp/ip dns is pointing to itself. On machine2 I have set its dns to point to the dc. The DNS has been setup with a forward lookup zone with the same name as the domain (accdirect.com). I can ping machine1 from the machine2 by its FQDN and ip. I have set up forwarders on the DC for our ISP dns and can browse the internet on both machines. In the DNS mmc on the DC I can see a host (A) has been created for machine2. The problem is I still cannot join the domain. When I try join the domain via my computer - properties then it brings up the username/password box and after I go "ok" it says cannot find domain accdirect.com If I run this from machine2 dcdiag /s:accdirect.com /u:accdirect.com\admin /p: then I get the following: Performing initial setup: ** Warning: could not confirm the identity of this server in the directory versus the names returned by DNS servers. If there are problems accessing this directory server then you may need to check that this server is correctly registered with DNS [accdirect.com] Directory Binding Error 1722: Win32 Error 1722 This may limit some of the tests that can be performed. Done gathering initial info. On the dc all dcdiag and netdiag results pass. If anyone could help me I would really appreciate this!     Hello, I turned my pc into router by allowing port forwarding on port 80 and got my hostname(xyz.donexist.org) registered through dyndns.com. Now i when i type my public ip address in browser i get redirected to my browser. I have installed glassfish and have my website deployed in glassfish. I want that when i type xyz.donexist.org my website should be opened. What all steps more i need to take? I have made a entry in etc/hosts file as :- 127.0.0.1 xyz.donexist.org Please guide me.     I'm setting up a server at a new colocation center half way around the world. They installed the OS for me and sent me the root password, so there's obviously a great amount of trust in them. However, I'm pretty sure I don't want them to have my root password on a regular basis. And anyway, I intend to only allow key-based login. On some cases, though, it might be useful to let their technical support log in through a physical terminal. For example, if I somehow mess up the firewall settings. Should I even bother worrying about that? Should I set up a sudoer account with a one-time password that will change if I ever use it? Is there a common strategy for handling something like this?

    I have a baseclass Event with a DateTime member TimeStamp. Lots of other event-classes will derive from this. I want to be able to search a list of events (that can contain events with duplicate timestamps) fast, so I'd like to use a binary search. So I started out writing something like this : public class EventList<T> : List<T> where T : Event { private IComparer<T> comparer = (x, y) => Comparer<DateTime>.Default.Compare(x.TimeStamp, y.TimeStamp); public IEnumerable<T> EventsBetween(DateTime inFromTime, DateTime inToTime) { // Find the index for the beginning. int index = this.BinarySearch(inFromTime, comparer); // BLAH REST OF IMPLEMENTATION } } The problem is that the BinarySearch only accepts T (so - an Event type) as parameter, while I want to search based on a member of T - the TimeStamp. What would be a good way to approach this ?

    I have (maybe silly) question regarding the apache2 webserver and security - I am trying to archieve this: Users connecting from 192.168.1.24 not to be prompted for password and allowed Others asked for username and password if correct then connect. I am trying to do this for the whole directory /var/www No matter whether I put the code into .htaccess file or in httpd.conf it doesn't work for me. Order deny,allow Deny from all AuthName "PassRequest" AuthType Basic AuthUserFile /var/.htpasswd Require valid-user Allow from 192.168.1.24 Satisfy Any If I try to connect to the page I am allowed from both the allowed IP or any other, If I remove the satisfy any line then I am prompted for password, if I remove the password too and try to connect from different IP I am NOT REFUSED ... is there some module that needs to be activated or why is the IP directive skipped ? It needs to be put in every folder or /var/www/.htaccess is enough ? can I just put it in httpd.conf instead or not ?? I spend last 4 hours trying to google up why it is acting like that, Any help will be highly appreciated :-))

    I have a Bourne Shell script that has several functions in it, and allows to be called in the following way: my.sh <func_name> <param1> <param2> Inside func_name() will be called with param1 and param2. I want to create a "help" function that would just list all available functions, even without parameters. The question: how do I get a list of all function names in a script from inside the script?   • Databind List Of Objects To A WinForms DataGridView, But Not Show Certain Public Properties

    I'm not even sure if i'm doing this correctly. But basically I have a list of objects that are built out of a class. From there, I am binding the list to a datagrid view that is on a Windows Form (C#) From there, it shows all the public properties of the object, in the datagrid view. However there is some properties that i still need accessible from other parts of my application, but aren't really required to be visible in the DataGridView. So is there an attribute or something similar that I can write above the property to exclude it from being shown. P.S. Im binding at runtime. So i cannot edit the columns via the designer. P.P.S. Please no answers of just making public variables (Although if that is the only way, let me know :)).

    I am using DocumentBuilder (of openXML api), to those who doesn't know the documentBuilder I'll give a short explanation: it has a function 'BuildDocument' which gets list of sources (each source contains wmldocument), and string of fileName to save to. public static void BuildDocument(List<Source> sources, string fileName) the purpose of this function is to build one word docx which contains all the sources. it merges some docs to one. at the end of its functionality it saves the doc using: File.WriteAllBytes(...) but when I run my project on the server I keep getting the error: "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process." few times it works ok. and in the visualStudio it also works without errors. what can be the problem?

    Hi there! I'm working my way through adapting a template I have been given that is basically a list of products for sale. I want to change it from a top-down list into a table layout.
