• DLL Config in Mono

  Hi, I'm trying to pick up Svn.NET (http://www.pumacode.org/projects/svndotnet/) library for use in my Mono project. I tried compiling its mockapp - svnmockapp project (http://www.pumacode.org/projects/svndotnet/browser/trunk/SvnMockApp) , I am able to get the references right and get it compiled right. I understand that it references 2 other modules libapr (libapr-1.so.0) and svn_client (libsvn_client-1.so.0) , by which I've created PumaCode.SvnDotNet.dll.config in /bin/Debug . That is all I've done to tried to try to get the mockapp at least outputting something to show that it is indeed interfacing SVN. Nevertheless, it is not working. Commands that are entered that doesn't interface SVN works fine: $ mono SvnTest.exe -usage Usage: SvnTest <subcommand> [options] Short Options: ~?.V Subcommands: add, checkout[co], status[st], update[up] For help on subcommands, use the -?/--help subcommand option.   Hi folks. As i understand javascript .js files are best to put all the way at the bottom of html pages, to speed up loading of rest of page. Advised by Yslow(Yahoo) and Page Speed(google). Now, when in the middle of page some thing RUNS a javascript script, in Internet Explorer, i see a small warning message saying that the element is: Uncaught ReferenceError: SWFObject is not defined When i put my all.js file in the had, the error goes away but page load slows doen. What to do? Actually, i remember it was the same with php variables. If i RUN php but the variable comes later, then it just doesnt work. must define the variable first, for it to run. How to make this workflow better, in case of php scripts? and in case of javsscripts? Thanks!

When I add a ScriptManager to my page, that same button is unnable to postback. It's only working if a take the ScriptManager out. has anything like this ever appened to somebody else? Am I invalidating the page somehow? • Is it possible to make a PHP script run itself every hour or so without the use of a cronjob?

  I'm pretty sure I've seen this done in a php script once, although I cant find the script. It was some script that would automatically check for updates to that script, and then replace itself if there was an update. I don't actually need all that, I just want to be able to make my PHP script automatically run every 30 minutes to an hour, but I'd like to do it without cronjobs, if its possible. Any suggestions? Or is it even possible? EDIT: After reading through a possible duplicate that RC linked to, I'd like to clarify. I'd like to do this completely without using resources outside of the PHP script. AKA no outside cronjobs that send a GET request. I'd also like to do it without keeping the script running constantly and sleeping for 30 minutes

• Breaking out of .emacs script

  I use two emacs (Aquamcs and text based emacs) on my Mac. I normally use text based emacs for just editing something, so I don't want to load anything with it. What I came up with is to have the checking code in .emacs to exit/break if it's text based emacs (darwin system but not aquamacs). (when (and (equal system-type 'darwin) (not (boundp 'aquamacs-version))) (exit) ??? (break) ???? ) It seems to work, but I don't know how to break out of .emacs. How to do that? ADDED I just wanted to speed up in loading text based emacs on my mac, and I thought about breaking out as a solution.   I'm looking for a way to easily read in a C# file and place it into a Java Object for database storage (storing the class name, functions, variables, etc). I'm making a Hierarchical State Machine AI Building Tool for a game I'm creating and need to be able to import an existing C# file and store it in a database for retrieval in the future. Does anyone know of any preexisting libraries for parsing C# files? Something similar to JavaParser? Thanks everyone! EDIT: This needs to be part of my Java Project. • Why does Ubuntu reset brightness settings at the loading screen?

  Since I first installed Ubuntu 11.10, I noticed that volume and screen brightness get reset every time Ubuntu starts. Why is this so? And what ways are there to keep brightness and volume levels after rebooting? I have found some scripts that change the screen-brightness at login. But this is not a good solution since login is slower because it seems to wait until the screen brightness is at the level specified by the script. After entering the password I see the screen brightness go down gradually. Only after this is complete (~1 or 2 seconds) does the background disappear and Unity come up. The screenbrightness is not remembered but instead redefined at login. So it gets remembered for the first part of the boot, then set to MAX and then again re-set to normal value by the script. My boot process is as follows: desired brightness: 2 (13,33%) / Max brightness: 15 (100%) Bios / brightness: OK GRUB (violet background color, white text) / brightness: OK Ubuntu loading screen with the dots / brightness: MAX (win7 loads with OK-brightness) User Login / brightness: MAX Unity starts / brightness: OK It seems to be more like a temporary patch than a actual solution. I'm looking for solutions that set the desired brightness permanently and consistently throughout the whole boot-process After updating to 12.04 the behavior is the same. I tried setpci -s 02:00.0 F4.B=XX The value of F4.B is always '0' regardless of what value I try to set it to (tried 0, ff, f, 5, etc) The solution in this answer does not have any noticeable effect: Desktop doesn't remember brightness settings after a reboot The variables at /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/ get changed if I use Fn+UP and Fn+DOWN Any help is appreciated.   I've developed code locally and taken a fairly regular snapshot whenever I reach a significant point in development, e.g. a working build. So I have a long-ish list of about 40 folders, each folder being a snapshot e.g. in ascending date YYYYMMDD order, e.g.:- 20100523 20100614 20100721 20100722 20100809 20100901 20101001 20101003 20101104 20101119 20101203 20101218 20110102 I'm looking for a script to import each of these snapshots as a new subversion revision to the source tree. The end result being that the HEAD revision is the same as the last snapshot, and other revisions are as numbered. Some other requirements: that the HEAD revision is not cumulative of the previous snapshots, i.e., files that appeared in older snapshots but which don't appear in later ones (e.g. due to refactoring etc.) should not appear in the HEAD revision. meanwhile, there should be continuity between files that do persist between snapshots. Subversion should know that there are previous versions of these files and not treat them as brand new files within each revision. Some background about my aim: I need to formally revision control this work rather than keep local private snapshot copies. I plan to release this work as open source, so version controlling would be highly recommended I am evaluating some of the current popular version control systems (Subversion and GIT) BUT I definitely need a working solution in Subversion. I'm not looking to be persuaded to use one particular tool, I need a solution for each tool I am considering as I would also like a solution in GIT (I will post an answer separately for GIT so separate camps of folks who have expertise in GIT and Subversion will be able to give focused answers on one or the other). • Having trouble with multiple Jquery libraries

  I've seen the posts about the no conflict but I'm not very code savvy and can't figure it out alone. I'm having trouble making two libraries work together. At the top I have the 1.9.1 library which controls a news ticker, and a carousel. Near the bottom there is a library 1.6.1, which controls a Dribbble feed. If I remove 1.6.1 everything but the dribbble feed works, and if I remove the 1.9.1 the dribbble feed is the only thing that works. I uploaded the website for you guys to check out. If you could edit my code to make it work that would be amazing, I don't have much knowledge of jquery.   When I run the this select '$(''test'')' in SQL Management Studio 2008 it returns $('test') When I run sqlcmd -S SERVER -E -d DATABASE -q "select "$(''test'')" on the command line it returns Sqlcmd: Error: Syntax error at line 1 near command '''. If I remove the dollar sign it works. Is the "$" a special character? Is this a sqlcmd bug? How can I change the script to get the desired result.
