• How do I make a daemon into a stream in PHP

  I have a daemon (written in C, but I assume it does not really matter) which outputs messages with printf, and can get input and do stuff with this input (again, not really important what, but he sends those messages to a different machine to be saved there in the DB). My question, how can I make this daemon to be a stream in PHP, so I can hook the input/output of, for example, file_put_contents to this stream.

I just need to store the hour and minute in a column of a table (ex: exam_time) Column structure: exam_time time NOT NULL Now how to store these value into database using mktime() function. I created a model using ruby script/generate model Article next i edited the my articles.rb file by adding these lines in self.up method def self.up create_table :articles do |t| t.string :title t.text :body t.string :published_at t.timestamps end end Now i ran rake db:migrate . But migrate does not work, it simply does no print anything. Anyone knows where i am going wrong?

  After spending some time wireframing my ideas, I want to start building my rails app. However, I'm well aware that later down the line I'd like to consider multiple user accounts. Should I be thinking about the implementation of this from this early stage, or is this something I can implement without too much fuss later?
