  I have the following code on the my page... <a href="javascript:change_product_photo(2);"><img id="alternate_product_photo_2" style="border-color:#666666;" src="/v/vspfiles/photos/00-6189-2S.jpg" border="1"> Sometimes there could be more of the <a href="javascript:change_product_photo(4);"> and each one would have a higher index number 5, 6 ,7, etc. What I want to do is for each and every instance of the href with javascript:change_product_photo(x) (where x is the index) remove both "_" from the change_product_link but leave the (x) index My thought was to first add a class to all hrefs that contain javascript:change_product_photo and then modify all of the href;s with that class but I am lost on how to do this. Here is what I got so far... $("a[href*='javascript:change_product_photo']").addClass('link_fix'); Now I don't know how to remove the "_" from the url.

  There is a control in Visual Studio's Class Details window (accessed via Class Diagram) which combines a ListView with a TreeView. The result looks something like this: TreeViewNode1 Column 1 Column 2 Column 3 Column 1 Column 2 Column 3 TreeViewNode2 Column 1 Column 2 Column 3 Column 1 Column 2 Column 3 All of the TreeView Nodes are collapsable so that you can view only the nodes you want to. I am looking to implement this, but it doesn't seem to be a .net control. Does anyone know of a control which already exists that allows this? It has to be free (as in beer).

  Just trying to figure a shorter way to do this: I'm using simpleXMLElement to parse an xml file and it's aggravating to have to call two lines to process an array when I know what node I want. Current code: $xml = new SimpleXMLElement($data); $r = $xml->xpath('///givexNumber'); $result["cardNum"] = $r[0]; What I would like to do would be something like I can do with DomX $result["cardNum"] = $xml->xpath('///givexNumber')->item(0)->nodeValue; Any ideas? I didn't really see that simplexmlelement can do this, but thought someone might know a trick or two.

I have created a registration form using the code: $user = new Register(); $form = $this->createForm(new RegisterType(), $user); In the RegisterType class i have 5 fields (for example).I store the values in database when the user registers with the system. Now I display the EDIT page using following code: $user = $em->getRepository('MysiteUserBundle:Register')->find($id); $form = $this->createForm(new RegisterType(), $user); The problem with the EDIT code however is that it displays me all of the fields mentioned in RegisterType class.Is it possible to display only some fields. If yes how can this be achieved. Any help will be appreciated

• Android "first time" app user tutorial

  I'm trying to create an opening tutorial that consists of four panes for my application, but since I'm new to Android, I want to make sure I'm considering all of my options before marking this task as "complete". I know of three ways, I can only really accomplish one. There are no requirements for this tutorial, but some "wanted features" would be a sliding action to each pane would be nice as well as the image and the bottom (navigation circles) not moving and the title on top not moving. One Way 4 separate activities and 4 separate layouts The red circled items are textViews that are centered horizontally and pushed off the top. The white circled items are imageViews that are centered horizontally and vertically. The purple circled are imageViews that are centered horizontally and pushed off the bottom. Second Way 4 fragments on one activity Fragments were difficult to learn, but the more I read about them/see tutorials on them, they seem to only really be used for tablets. Would it be a valid way to accomplish this? Third Way ViewPager? http://android-developers.blogspot.com/2011/08/horizontal-view-swiping-with-viewpager.html I've never used this before, but I know it's an option. Final Question Which way is used more often/what's the proper way to implement this? Is there any way to only have the middle part (the image) slide in, but the title (top) and the navigation images (bottom) just change once the image slides in?

• First could access the repository next cannot

  Hi! I have configured svnserve (1.6.5,plain, without apache) on Fedora 12. I could ran the following svn subcommands which access the repository after configuration. Such as, commit, update,checkout, list. But, when next time ( after stopping,ctrl-c and then starting svnserve)I tried above commands, could not access the repository. This is happening both from local and remote machine. I ran svn and svnserve as below. 'svn commit svn://127.0.0.1/myrepository/' from local client. 'svnserve -d --foregorund --listen-port=3690 -r /path-to-repository/mypository/' To understand the problem better, I created another repository and found similar behavior . Frist I could access the repository and next I could not. I tried doing strace on svnserve, but don't uderstand much of it. I work with a lot of applications based on PHP. I created a vBulletin forum on my own time and I would definitely want to build off of that since it has gained a bit of popularity. I also work with Wordpress quite often. All of the software I work with tends to be based on PHP but I hear a lot of people say Ruby or Python is better. Since I'm starting out, I really don't care which one I learn but I want to start right. Any recommendations for someone with HTML/CSS/Javascript knowledge but wants to branch out?

Could anyone tell me what is the difference between a private variable that is declared at the @interface block versus a variable that is declared within the @implementation block outside of the class methods, i.e: @interface Someclass : NSObject { NSString *forExample; } @end vs. @implementation Someclass NSString *anotherExample; -(void)methodsAndSuch {} @end It seems both variables ( forExample, anotherExample ) are equally accessible throughout the class and I can't really find a difference in their behaviour. Is the second form also called an instance variable?

• Enterprise class storage best practices

  One thing that has always perplexed me is storage best practices. Filesystems brag about how they can be petabytes or exabytes in size. Yet, I do not know many sysadmins who are willing to let a single volume grow over several terrabytes. I do know the primary reason behind this is how long it would take to rebuild the array should a drive fail. The more drives in a single LUN, the longer this takes and the greater your risk of losing another drive while the rebuild is taking place. Then there's usage reasons. Admins will carve out a LUN based on how much space they think needs to be allocated to the project. It seems more practical to me for the LUN to be one large array and to use quotas. I understand this wouldn't satisfy every requirement (iSCSI), but I see a lot of NAS systems (NFS) managed this way. I also understand that the underlying volumes can be grown/shrunk as needed quite easily, but wouldn't it be less "risky" to use quotas rather than manipulating volumes and bringing possible data loss into the equation? There may be some other reasons I'm missing, so please enlighten me. Can we not expect filesystems to ever be so large? Are we waiting for the hardware to get faster to cut down on rebuild times?

  Hi, I want to use Christian Bach's tableSorter client-side table sorting jQuery plugin with my asp.Net GridView control. But the problem is, in the documentation it writes: tablesorter works on standard HTML tables. You must include THEAD and TBODY tags: And unfortunately asp.net renders my GridView only with tags and header row stays within as the 1st row. I have tried: dgvRate.HeaderRow.TableSection = TableRowSection.TableHeader; after calling .DataBind(); It only helped to have <TH></TH> within the header . But still everything is inside <tbody> Can I accomplish this, I mean moving my 1st row from <tbody></tbody> to <thead></thead> ? I do not want to add it manually on PreRender stage; I am sure this could be handled much simpler, isn't it? thanks

• Ajax success function firing before java class responds

I am running the code as google web app from eclipse and I can see when debugging the java class file, that the javascript is throwing an alert for the success response from the class being false before the debugger catches the break point in the class file. Are there any strong arguments against writing a DataContract class with methods that are to be used server-side only? Or what about additional properties that are not decorated with the DataMember attribute?   I have an .htaccess file that mainly does 2 things. Force www on the domain and ask for login credentials (with .htpasswd). If I now visit domain.com it will ask for a username and password. When I fill them in I get redirected to www.domain.com and then it asks me to log in again. Is there any way to get the www redirection done before the login? I already tried putting the force www code on the top of the .htaccess file.

  Hi. Can someone please help me figure out a way to achieve the following (see snippets below) in Django templates? I know that you cannot use more than one extends, but I am new to django and I do not know the proper syntax for something like this. I want to be able to do this so that I can use my nested div layout for css reasons without having to type it like that each time and risking a typo. • iphone instance / class method issue

  Hey All, Okay, so I have a viewController method that has some elements created with interface builder and some I coded myself. I created a view in the IB...lets call it viewOne. I created a loop that creates buttons (through code) and places them on a separate view (viewTwo). This is done in a class method. However, I want the view I made to be opened everytime one of the buttons is clicked. So I did: [button addTarget:self action:@selector(woogoo:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside]; The woogoo class does the following: +(void) woogoo:(id)sender { //back button [self.view addSubview:viewOne] } However, the program crashes when a button is clicked. I did try making woogoo an instance method but it also crashes in this case too. All I want to do is show viewOne when a button is clicked. Any ideas what I can do?

  I have a problem with stl priority queue.I want to have the priority queue in the increasing order,which is decreasing by default.Is there any way to do this in priority queue. And what is the complexity of building stl priority queue.If i use quick sort in an array which takes O(nlgn) is its complexity is similar to using priority queue??? Plz someone ans.Advanced thanx.
