    The main question is how do I clear the command prompts memory or cache. I ran this on cmd.exe svn info <URL> Which prompted me a for a username and password which I entered. I then logged off and logged back in immediately and I entered that same command and I wasn't asked for a username and password. I want to clear this to test something without restarting my server! How can I do this?

    I had installed MySQL from the command line when I setup a local web server with custom modules on my Snow Leopard box. I recently discovered MAMP and its just easier to work with it than with the personal web server Apple has and via command like utils. I uninstall ports completely but still see 'mysqld' in my Activity Monitor. I would like to uninstall this cleanly. Any tips?

    Hi, I've a Dell studio 1555 bought on september with Windows 7 64bit Professional on it. The audio device works proprerly, while listening to audio contents (from disk or internet) When I use Ventrilo, the audio from other people sounds good and I hear their voices clearly When I use any other VOIP programs like Teamspeak 3, MSN or Skype, I hear a disturbed voice, and it's impossible to comprehend something... Anyway everything worked fine until I installed Ventrilo, but removing it didn´t solve my problem. So how do I restore my audio?

  • cannot move to a subdirectory of itself

    I have 2 folders: /home/sphinx/articlesdb/ and: /home/sphinx/tmp/articlesdb/ I want to move and overwrite all of the files from tmp into the main folder. I am currently using: mv -f /home/sphinx/tmp/articlesdb/ /home/sphinx/ But I get this error: mv: cannot move `/home/sphinx/tmp/articlesdb/' to a subdirectory of itself, `/home/sphinx/articlesdb' It needs to do this as fast as possible so I don't want to copy. Should I remove /home/sphinx/articlesdb/ completely and then run the mv command or do I just need to tweak the command slightly?

    Trying to decide which phone to get; I think I've narrowed it down to one of these two. The Xperia X10 seems pretty sweet except for one drawback: the phone/voice quality seems to be lacking. I haven't heard anything about the quality on the Nexus though. Otherwise they seem pretty neck and neck. What do you guys think?

    I am trying to create a software stripe setup with two physical disks (underneath they are 128K stripe, RAID5 for each). I've read that one can use diskpart, but I am unable to come up with a command that works. This is on Server 2k3 SP2. I was trying create volume stripe disk=2,3 align=1024 Diskpart errors out: The arguments you specified for this command are not valid. P.S. Tried successfully with a basic disk and a primary partition. Please reply, -Greg

    I have a CentOS 5.5 server hosted in a remote data center. I usually access this server from a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 server using the ssh command. Now my organization has implemented a proxy server, this is not allowing me to connect to the VPS server. I see the following error using the command root@<ip address>:-: ssh: connect to host <ip address> PORT 22: connection refused. Can anybody help me with this issue?

  • Cannot access client pc remotely due to time/date issue xp win2k3 environment

    When I run psexec to the user desktop (xp pro) I get "There is a time and/or date difference between the client and the server." I also get "access denied" when I run the at \clientname time /interactive "net time \server /set /y" command. I cannot access the machine from my win2k3 server's AD Users and Computers utilities. Is going to the machine the only way to remedy? Clarify: Going to the machine and doing the net time command works, but I want a remote solution please.

    The default behavior for 'less' is to clear the screen after quitting. This behavior stopped when I started using: export TERM=xterm Now 'less' leaves the last page I viewed on the screen, and I want to re-enable the default behavior of clearing the screen. Googling this problem I found that people use the following command in their ~/.screenrc: altscreen on I'm not sure if this is a mac-issue but I don't have this command available.     Problem Trying to setup CI Joe (https://github.com/defunkt/cijoe) and I get the following error: /usr/bin/env: ruby1.8: No such file or directory What I'm doing CI Joe is run as www-data, and the command I'm running is RAILS_ENV=test bundle exec rake -s test When I log in as www-data (sudo su www-data) and execute the same command it works.   • Cannot reset an network interfaces without a reboot

    I have edited the /etc/network/interfaces file and I use the sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart. After restart, the eth1 interfaces don't setup properly. I need a hard reboot to enable this configuration. Meanwhile the command line hints: Running /etc/init.d/networking restart is deprecated because it may not enable again some interfaces.     I have a CentOS server, VPS. After running this command I can't work with server and get the same error in all actions (SSH, Login, ls and ...) The command: ln -s /lib/libc.so.1 /lib/libc.so.6 -f And the error is: /sbin/shutdown: error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I have VNC to server but because I can't login to server, that's unusable.     Basically, I want to do the same thing that Google Voice does. I forward my calls to a DID number that rings my Asterisk server via IAX2, which, if it detects the call has been forwarded, sends it to voicemail. Otherwise, if the call hasn't been forwarded (and somebody has dialed the DID number), it dials my phone number and tries to reach me. tl;dr: how do I detect that a call has been forwarded to my asterisk box?

    I am looking for a small, rugged web-cam, which can be hand-held or perhaps mountable. It must have its own IP address so that anyone can view its video stream from a web browser. I would prefer 2 way voice communication too. Encryption of data is nice, as is compression (H.264). Maybe also remote control, like causing it to zoom from the browser. Does anyone have any suggestions, even suggestions of somewhere else to look?

    Is it possible to trace which file or process or database query is effecting the load on a VPS? I am using Centos with 512 MB Guarantee Memory and 1 GB burst Memory, I am running 3 wordpress sites from it, where all are having daily traffic of 30-100 visitors each, After every 2-3 days I need to restart my VPS because the resources are taking high usage of memory, I tried running top command and it shows Apache as high, But is it possible to check which website is taking load?
