• How can I transform XML to invalid XML using XSLT?

  I need to transform a valid XML document to the OFX v1.0.2 format. This format is more or less XML, but it's technically invalid and therefore cannot be parsed as XML. I'm having trouble getting my Xml transformation working because the .Net XslCompiledTransform object insists on interpreting the XSL as an XML document (which is fair enough). If I escape the xml-ish tags using &lt; and &gt, they get removed when I download the file.   Hi I want to work around a 'bug' in certain RSS-feeds, which use an incorrect namespace for the mediaRSS module. I tried to do it by manipulating the DOM programmatically, but using XSLT seems more flexible to me.   I'm a bit confused on the description of joystick axes and I'm hoping that someone has a link or document which could help clear my confusion. I'm not a Windows guy, so trying to port some traditional Windows gameport code has me a bit confused. I understand the descriptions are "vector" and "relative vector,' respectively, but I'm having difficult visualizing what that means in terms of a physical device.   Hi I want to load my windows form: web browser thats using the webbrowser control, It would load a web page, and load my defination and search for elements that has been define, it will then assign the default values and these values can not be changed by the end user. • Insert video clip in a lyx presentation and play it in GNU/Linux.

  How can I insert a video clip into a presentation created in Lyx? Have seen http://www.latex-community.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=48. It works, but there the video starts in the background in an external player. I would prefer it to be played in the presentation itself. If an external player is used it it should at least start in the foreground. But the presentation takes the foreground. Using evince in GNU/linux as pdf viewer. Beamer is used as a presentation template. Is it possible to play a video file in an embedded player in the presentation itself? Created an example presentation. • Using HttpClient with SSL and certificates

  While I've been familiar with HTTPS and the concept of SSL, I have recently begun some development and found I am a little confused. The requirement was that I write a small Java application that runs on a machine attached to a scanner. When a document is scanned this is picked up and the file (usually PDF) sent over the internet to our application server that will then process it. I've written the application using Apache Commons libraries and HTTPClient. The second requirement was to connect over SSL, requiring a certificate. Following guidance on the HTTPclient page I am using AuthSSLProtocolSocketFactory from the contributions page. The constructor can take a keystore, keystore password, truststore and truststore password. As an initial test our DBA enabled SSL on one of our development webservers and provided me with a .p12 file which when I imported into IE allows me to connect successfully. I am a bit confused between keystores and truststores and what steps I need to take using the keytool. I tried importing the p12 into a keystore file but get the error: keytool error: java.lang.Exception: Input not an X.509 certificate I followed a suggestion of importing the p12 into Internet Explorer and exporting as a .cer which I can then successfully import into a keystore. When I supply this as a keystore argument of the AuthSSLProtocolSocketFactory I get a meaningless errror, but if I try it as a truststore it seems like it reads it fine but ultimately I get Caused by: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Received fatal alert: bad_certificate I am unsure if I have missed some steps, I am misunderstanding SSL and mutual authentication altogether or this is mis-configuration on the server side. Can anyone provide suggestions or point me towards resources that might help me figure this out please?

• javascript addEventListener onStateChange not working in IE

  Hi, I have two colorbox popup boxes which show a youtube video in each. When they're finished playing, I'm trying to have them automatically close the colorbox window. This code below works perfect in firefox, but in IE I can't get addEventListener to work. I've tried attachEvent with no success. Can anybody offer any suggestions as to how to solve this? It seems simple but I'm exhausted trying to find a solution. So when the preferences window is Closed or the "Ok" button is hitted I want to raise an event or an function which updates via DOM my toolbar. So this is the function which is called when the toolbar is loaded. • Event Handling for MFC Dialog

  This is my second question of the day, pardon me. I am writing a wrapper library to communicate with a scanner device. The source code was in C++ MFC. I am converting it to a plain Dll which will be invoked from C#. So, I am using DllImport in C# to call the wrapper library. Now I am provided with MFC code and the library is a ActiveX Object, at least I think so. class CDpocx : public CWnd { } So in my wrapper library I will have an instance of CDpocx and will call it via C# P/Invoke. But the problem is CDpocx also throws some events which I need to catch. In traditional app, I would just attach an function with it. But How would I attach the events on non MFC class. • Detecting browser capabilities and selective events for mouse and touch

  I started using touch events for a while now, but I just stumbled upon quite a problem. Until now, I checked if touch capabilities are supported, and applied selective events based on that. Like this: if(document.ontouchmove === undefined){ //apply mouse events }else{ //apply touch events } However, my scripts stopped working in Chrome5 (which is currently beta) on my computer. I researched it a bit, and as I expected, in Chrome5 (as opposed to older Chrome, Firefox, IE, etc.) document.ontouchmove is no longer undefined but null. At first I wanted to submit a bug report, but then I realized: There are devices that have both mouse and touch capabilities, so that might be natural, maybe Chrome now defines it because my OS might support both types of events. So the solutions seems easy: Apply BOTH event types. Right? Well the problem now take place on mobile. In order to be backward compatible and support scripts that only use mouse events, mobile browsers might try to fire them as well (on touch). So then with both mouse and touch events set, a certain handler might be called twice every time. What is the way to approach this? Is there a better way to check and apply selective events, or must I ignore the problems that might occur if browsers fire both touch and mouse events at times?

• x-dom-event-stream in Opera 10 Only Working on First Event

  I have a python script (in the CherryPy framework) that sends Event: and data: text as this Opera blog post describes to a client browser. The javascript that recieves the x-dom-event-stream content is almost identical to what they show in the blog post. However, the browser displays only the first event sent. Anyone know what I'm missing? I tried a few older versions of Opera and found that it works in Opera 9.52 but not in any newer versions. What did they change? • Parsing Lisp S-Expressions with known schema in C#

  I'm working with a service that provides data as a Lisp-like S-Expression string. This data is arriving thick and fast, and I want to churn through it as quickly as possible, ideally directly on the byte stream (it's only single-byte characters) without any backtracking. These strings can be quite lengthy and I don't want the GC churn of allocating a string for the whole message. My current implementation uses CoCo/R with a grammar, but it has a few problems. Due to the backtracking, it assigns the whole stream to a string. It's also a bit fiddly for users of my code to change if they have to. I'd rather have a pure C# solution. CoCo/R also does not allow for the reuse of parser/scanner objects, so I have to recreate them for each message. Conceptually the data stream can be thought of as a sequence of S-Expressions: (item 1 apple)(item 2 banana)(item 3 chainsaw) Parsing this sequence would create three objects. The type of each object can be determined by the first value in the list, in the above case "item". The schema/grammar of the incoming stream is well known. Before I start coding I'd like to know if there are libraries out there that do this already. I'm sure I'm not the first person to have this problem.

  As of now I'm using a while(true) method to detect changes in memory. The problem with this is it's kill the applications performance. I have a list of 30 pointers that need checked as rapidly as possible for changes, without sacrificing a huge performance loss.   hi my knowledge of xml and php is somewhat basic but have been able to parse a simple xml document (one level) ~ <numbers> <number>1</number> <number>2</number> </numbers> i'm attempting to parse an xml document from a website providing the latest market prices for gold bullion. I think i'm going to need a paid professional but want to give it a shot the xml file looks like this: <envelope> <message type="MARKET_DEPTH_A" version="0.1"> <market> <pitches> <pitch securityClassNarrative="GOLD" securityId="AUXLN" considerationCurrency="GBP" > <buyPrices> <price actionIndicator="B" quantity="0.153" limit="23477" /> </buyPrices> <sellPrices> <price actionIndicator="S" quantity="0.058" limit="23589" /> </sellPrices> </pitch> </pitches> </market> </message> </envelope> and simply i have no idea how to access the values within the "headings".   I'm trying to read image from database with Ajax, but I could not read the xmlhttp.responseText to the img src. The image is saved as binary data in database and also retrieved as binary data. • Improve Efficiency for This Text Processing Code

  I am writing a program that counts the number of words in a text file which is already in lowercase and separated by spaces. I want to use a dictionary and only count the word IF it's within the dictionary. The problem is the dictionary is quite large (~100,000 words) and each text document has also ~50,000 words. As such, the codes that I wrote below gets very slow (takes about 15 sec to process one document on a quad i7 machine). I'm wondering if there's something wrong with my coding and if the efficiency of the program can be improved. Thanks so much for your help.   I have written a small XML validator, that takes in an XML file and an XML schema and validates the XML files against that schema. • Can I use Data URLs in Android 2.1's Webkit-based browser?

  Hi all, I am writing a tutorial about the HTML5 Canvas for mobile and did some basic tests. While I can call the getDataURL() Method on an iPhone's HTML5 Canvas Element, it does not seem to return the data URL on Android 2.1 (Google Nexus One) and it's webkit-based default browser. Here is the sample: var dataURL = canvas.toDataURL(); var img = document.createElement('img'); img.setAttribute('src', dataURL); document.getElementById('box').appendChild(img); This will work on iPhone, it will add a new image element with the same content as the canvas. It does nothing or fails on Android 2.1. Has anyone ever gotten this to work? I am also wondering if anyone could help me with understanding the WebKit Build numbers and what it means with regards to what features I can expect. For the iphone, I see a build number of 528.18, on Android 2.1's Browser I see (from the user agent strign) a WebKit build 530.17. So it looks Android 2.1's webkit browser is more up to date, still some features work on iPhone's webkit but not on Android. Does this comparison just make no sense? Thanx all!
