  • Trying to understand the Zend_Auth OpenId

    I'm using a slightly modified version of the Zend_Auth_OpenId classes to get openid logins from google apps. The results are very positive, as I seem to be getting successful results from Google. I cannot get successful results passed to Zend_Auth, though. For example, Zend_Auth_Adapter_OpenId on line 241: if (!$consumer->login($id, $this->_returnTo, $this->_root, $this->_extensions, $this->_response)) { return new Zend_Auth_Result( Zend_Auth_Result::FAILURE, $id, array("Authentication failed", $consumer->getError())); } The consumer calls login() which in turn calls the private method _checkId() in Zend_OpenId_Consumer. _checkId() always ends in redirecting to the openid server. How is this ever supposed to return a valid Zend_Auth_Result object? I'm pretty close to giving up and trying to implement another OpenId library, but I'm so close to just making this work. I must be missing something so obvious! Maybe I don't understand how openid works exactly, but if someone could help me understand I would really appreciate it.

    I've got the two following entities ... class Citation { public int CitationId { get; set; } public string Identifier { get; set; } } class CitationIdentifier { public int CitationIdentifierId { get; set; } public string Identifier { get; set; } } I'm trying to query for all Citation records where the Identifier property does not match any of the CitationIdentifiers record Identifier property. So, if I have a Citation with an Identifier property containing "foo", but there are no CitationIdentifier records with an Identifier property containing "foo", then I'd like to retrieve that Citation. I'm working with an IDbSet<Citation>. Any ideas? Thanks.

  • Zend_Dojo_Form not rendering in layout

    Hi, I have a quick question about adding Zend_Dojo_Form into Zend_layouts. I have a Zend_Dojo_Form that I want to display in the layout that is used for a particular controller. I can add the form to the layout without any issue however the dojo elements fail to render, as they would do if I added the form to a standard view. Is there any reason why this would be the case? Do I need to do something to the layout so that it will enable the components for this embedded form in the layout. Any other dojo enabled forms that are added in the view using this layout work fine. My form is created in the usual way: class QuickAddJobForm extends Zend_Dojo_Form{ public function init(){ $this->setName('quickaddjobfrm') ->setMethod('post') ->setAction('/addjob/start/); /*We now create the elements*/ $jobTitle = new Zend_Dojo_Form_Element_TextBox('jobtitle', array( 'trim' => true ) ); $jobTitle->setAttrib('style', 'width:200px;') ->addFilter('StripTags') ->removeDecorator('DtDdWrapper') ->removeDecorator('HtmlTag') ->removeDecorator('Label'); .... $this->addElements(array($jobTitle, ....)); In the controller I declare the layout and the form in the init function: public function init(){ $this->_helper->layout->setLayout('add-layout'); $form = new QuickAddJobForm(); $form->setDecorators(array(array('ViewScript', array('viewScript' => 'quickAddJobFormDecorator.phtml')))); $this->_helper->layout()->quickaddjob = $form; In my layout Where I want the form I have: echo $this->layout()->quickaddjob; Why would adding this form in the layout fail to render/add the Dojo elements? All that is currently being displayed are text boxes, rather than some of the other components such as ComboBoxes/FilteringSelects etc... Thanks in advance.

  • Saving a modified object from ASP.NET MVC View Using Entity-Franework 4

    I retrieve an object graph from DB using EF4. The context is closed as soon as the data retrieve and the data passes to the controller, and then to the view. in the view the data is modified, and then the controller gets it back. From the controller I run Repository.Update(MyEmp); and in my repository the code goes: using (var context = new mydb()) { if (myEmp.ID != 0) // Checking if it's modified or new { context.Emp.Attach(MyEmp); int result = context.SaveChanges(); return myEmp.ID; } } The problem - once attached, the object entityState goes to unchanged, and not modified, and of course - nothing is saved to the database. What am I doing wrong ?

  • Using Google's Contacts API's, how can I get the user's name and gmail address?

    I know how to get the entire contacts list using Google Contacts API (I get a session token and use Google's Zend package for PHP). But how can I get the person's name and email address? Currently, the Contacts API just seems to give all of the contacts. I'm not sure how to distinguish which email and name out of that list corresponds to the user's account. Is there an easy way to get the user's full name and email address? Any help would be useful. Thanks!

    I have a form that check if email exists in the database within 2 tables. I'm using Zend_Validate_Db_NoRecordExists for both validate, but it only check the second one.   • ZF2 - ServiceManager injecting into 84 tables... tedious

    I originally made another thread about this a couple of months ago in regards to ZF2 injecting into tables with DI during Beta 1 and figured back then that it wasn't really possible. Now ZF2 has been released as version 2.0.0 and ServiceManager is defaulted to instead of DI I guess I have the same question now I'm refactoring. I've got 84 tables that need the DbAdapter injecting into them and I'm sure there has to be a better way as I'm replicating myself SO much. public function getServiceConfig() { return array( 'factories' => array( 'accountTable' => function ($sm) { $dbAdapter = $sm->get('Zend\Db\Adapter\Adapter'); $table = new Model\DbTable\AccountTable($dbAdapter); return $table; }, 'userTable' => function ($sm) { $dbAdapter = $sm->get('Zend\Db\Adapter\Adapter'); $table = new Model\DbTable\UserTable($dbAdapter); return $table; }, // another 82 tables of the above ) ) } With the EventsManager and ServiceManager I have no idea where I stand in getting my application's instances/resources.   • Why newly created entity object with navigation property is automaticly added to ObjectContext?

    I have to entities: Company and Location (one to many). When I create new Location entity object and assign navigation property(Company) with the navigation property of already existing Location object (Location _new = new Location(); _new.Company = _old.Company). It seems that at that point newly created object is added to Object Context automatically, because when I call SaveChanges method that object is insert to database although I didn't call ObjectContext.AddObject(_new). I'm new in EF so there is probably reason why I have result like this? Is there need to assign also CompanyReference filed too and how to do it? IDaoFactory daoFactory = new DaoFactory(); ILocationDao locaitonDao = daoFactory.GetLocationDao(); IEnumerable<Location> locations = locaitonDao.GetLocations(); Location _old = locations.First(); Location _new = new Location(); _new.LocationName = _old.LocationName; _new.Company = _old.Company;// 1 _new.Address = _old.Address; //... I coul have the function $this->view->users->hasPermits($this->view->user); By declaring a function on the model, an things could be easy to implement. But i would like to be able to have the next function doing the same: $this->view->user->hasPermits(); Is there a way to do this? do i need to extend the Zend_Db_Table_Row class? any ideas?

  • What to set the scalar type to contain a byte []. Entity in MVC2

    I'm trying out the EF 4.0 and using the Model first approach. I'd like to store images into the database and I'm not sure of the best type for the scalar in the entity. I currently have it(the image scalar type) setup as a binary. From what I have been reading the best way to store the image in the db is a byte[]. So I'm assuming that binary is the way to go. If there is a better way I'd switch. In my controller I have: //file from client to store in the db HttpPostedFileBase file = Request.Files[inputTagName]; if (file.ContentLength > 0) { keyToAdd.Image = new byte[file.ContentLength]; file.InputStream.Write(keyToAdd.Image, 0, file.ContentLength); } This builds fine but when I run it I get an exception writing the stream to keyToAdd.Image. The exception is something like: Method does not exist. Any ideas? Note that when using a EF 4.0 model first approach I only have int16, int32, double, string, decimal, binary, byte, DateTime, Double, Single, and SByte as available types. Thanks

    Hello, I have been searching the blogs and articles but I have not found much support for this scenario. I have been poking around EF and realized that I could create views that contained data from multiple databases and then build the EF object model off of those views. Although it works I am not sure about the usual issues of performance, scalability, maintainability. The way I am achieving the connection between databases is by creating associations in the EF model. Does anyone have any information about this type of implementation?     I have one 'Transaction' entity object with 'Operations' navproperty with multiplicity of 'Many'. When I'm adding only one operation per transaction nothing happens, but when I'm trying to add more than one operation, db.SaveChanges() throws an exception like 'Subquery returned more than 1 value blah, blah, blah' How can I solve that? Help me guys please... BTW... Could you tell me how can I see the exact query string that EF passes to Sql Server on db.SaveChanges() method?

    Hello, I'm developing an application for windows mobile 6.5. Im writing the code in c#.net and want to send sms due to my app. I checked out the POOM and sms sending worked fine. Code: SmsMessage msg = new SmsMessage(); msg.To.Add(receiver); msg.Body = messageText; msg.Send(); But there's one problem. I want that the messages will be saved/copied to the "send messages" folder, after my program has sent them. How can I realize that.
