  • centos 6 debuginfo repository does not have httpd debug version available

    I am trying to get the debug version of httpd so I can use it in conjunction with gdb. I am having a hard time getting them, and they don't seem to be in the standard epel-debuginfo repository.   • jQuery Ajax call - Set variable value on success.

    Hey all, I have an application that I am writing that modifies data on a cached object in the server. The modifications are performed through an ajax call that basically updates properties of that object. When the user is done working, I have a basic 'Save Changes' button that allows them to Save the data and flush the cached object. In order to protect the user, I want to warn them if the try to navigate away from the page when modifications have been made to the server object if they have not saved. So, I created a web service method called IsInitialized that will return true or false based on whether or not changes have been saved. If they have not been saved, I want to prompt the user and give them a chance to cancel their navigation request. Here's my problem - although I have the calls working correctly, I can't seem to get the ajax success call to set the variable value on its callback function. As was just pointed out, I am making an asynchronous call, which means the rest of the code gets called before my method returns. Is there a way to use that ajax call, but still catch the window.onunload event? (without making synchronos ajax)

It's data source are the results from a php-back-end. $("#ice_id").autocomplete("ice-ver.php", { extraParams : { flavour_id: $("#flavour_id").val() } }); Let us take following example: We type in the flavour ID 3992 ...(and 3992 exists in the database and is properly returned by the php backend). If we type in now 3992999 the auto-complete function should top showing anything up ...but unfortunately it still does, (could the problem lie within the fact that I am using integers instead of strings or chars?)     I'm trying to call a function in a Silverlight 4 component to open a file dialog and upload a file to the server. Everything works well within Silverlight but I'd like to call the component from JavaScript. So I call the button click handler from a C#-function which is [ScriptableMember]. I get the following error when calling the function: System.Security.SecurityException: Dialogs must be user-initiated. at System.Windows.Browser.ManagedObjectInfo.Invoke(ManagedObject obj, InvokeType invokeType, String memberName, ScriptParam[] args) at System.Windows.Hosting.ManagedHost.InvokeScriptableMember(IntPtr pHandle, Int32 nMemberID, Int32 nInvokeType, Int32 nArgCount, ScriptParam[] pArgs, ScriptParam& pResult, ExceptionInfo& pExcepInfo) I based my code on the tutorial by Tim Heuer that can be found here: http://www.silverlight.net/learn/videos/silverlight-videos/openfiledialog-and-file-upload/ I understand why the error is thrown, sort of, the 'click' from the user is done in JavaScript and probably is not going through to Silverlight. For Silverlight this is merely a function call. Is this new policy from Silverlight 4? Is it still possible to only use Silverlight behind to screens to upload a file? Any help is appreciated.

EDIT I thought I should post the rationale for the chosen answer. The reason being; it most elegant solutionto the problem of wanting to call the "grandparent's" constructor while retaining all the values. It's certainly not the best approach nor is it OOP friendly, but that's not what the question was asking. For anyone coming across this question at a later date - Please find another solution. I was able to find a much better approach that didn't wreak havoc on the class structure. So should you.

  • GNU Make: How to call $(wildcard) within $(eval)

    I'm trying to create a generic build template for my Makefiles, kind of like they discuss in the eval documentation. I can't seem to get the wildcard function to work within an eval. The basic code I'm having issues with looks like this. SRC_DIR = ./src/ PROG_NAME = test define PROGRAM_template $(1)_SRC_DIR = $(join $(SRC_DIR), $(1)/) $(1)_SRC_FILES = $(wildcard $$($(1)_SRC_DIR)*.c) endef $(eval $(call PROGRAM_template, $(PROG_NAME))) all: @echo $(test_SRC_DIR) @echo $(test_SRC_FILES) @echo $(wildcard $(wildcard $(test_SRC_DIR)*.c) When I run make with this, the output is ./src/test [correct list of all .c files in ./src/test/] Basically, the wildcard call within PROGRAM_template is not being eval'd as I expect it. The call results in an empty list. The join call is being eval'd correctly though. So, what am I doing wrong? My guess is that $$($(1)_SRC_DIR) is not correct, but I can't figure out the right way to do it. EDIT Once this was solved, it didn't take long for me to hit another issue with eval.   • Mod_rewrite display subdomain.domain.com and call domain.com/subdomain/ for SSL

    I have a website secured by a standard SSL certificate, securing a few different shops under different subdirectories. Ex. domain.com/shop1/ The shops are also accessible via a subdomain e.g. shop1.domain.com. What I'm trying to accomplish: display shop1.domain.com to the user, while keeping all of the actual server calls as domain.com/shop1, so that the secure pages will continue to work properly. (Not sure if I'm using the proper language, exactly, I hope my point is clear.) To be clear: my SSL is working fine, and I don't need help with that, and I don't need or want to purchase a UCC cert. It can't be that difficult for anyone with experience with Apache. (I've spent 3 hours trying to learn about mod_rewrite. It's just not clicking.) I'm on a GoDaddy secure shared server, so please keep in mind that I'm not able to reset the server or anything.

    Summary I want to be able to call a JavaScript function from a Flex app using ExternalInterface and pass a reference to a different JavaScript function as an argument. Base Example Given the following JavaScript: function foo(callback) { // ... do some stuff callback(); } function bar() { // do some stuff that should happen after a call to foo } I want to call foo from my flex app using ExternalInterface and pass a reference to bar as the callback. Why Really,foo is not my function (but, rather, FB.Connect.showBookmarkDialog), which due to restrictions on Facebook iframe apps can only be called on a button click. My button, for design reasons, is in the Flex app. Fortunately, it's possible to call ExternalInterface.call("FB.Connect.showBookmarkDialog", callback) to display the bookmark dialog. But, FB.Connect.showBookmarkDialog requires a JS callback so, should I want to receive a callback (which I do), I need to pass a reference to a JS function as the single argument.     Hi, I'm planning a laboratorial experiment to assess behavior of groups when programming using some tools under study. For that, I'll need to capture their entire screen to disk. Mostly, what will be displayed is code, so I'm not to worried with image quality. However, it's paramount that the team is not able to stop the recording by accident, and the tool should be rebust enough to hold at least 3h of video. If possible, it would be nice for researchers in other rooms to "watch" the video as it is recording. Actually, this last requirement reminded me that I could use a VNC recording software, and install a VNC client in each laboratory computer. Anyway, what is your experience with this? Which software do you recommend? Thanks.

  • Custom Windows Forms Control not exporting functions, not showing in tools list, showing as Text

    Hi, I have written a very simple control. C# Visual Studio 2008. Its output should be, and is a dll. I have added a reference to the dll within the project that I intend to use it with. The msdn article about how to write a control states that it should appear in the 'Add reference / projects' list, which it doesn't but I simply navigated to it under the 'browse' tab, went to the /bin folder and added the reference that way. I dragged it over to my toolbox, but it shows up as a 'Text:xhair_tool' and when i try and add it to a form, it won't, so what have I done wrong? It was created as a 'Windows forms control' project. I'm sure I'm mixing styles here as Expect.Call() has a .Return(Expect.Action) method but I can't figure out how I am suppose to use it correctly to return a boolean value? Can anyone help out?     I created a number of standard WCF Services (Service Contract and Host (svc) are in separate assemblies). I fired up a Web Site in IIS to host the Services (i.e., address is http://services:1000/wcfservices.svc). Then in my Web Site project I added the reference. I am able to call the services normally. I am needed to call some of the services client side. Not sure if I should be looking at articles calling WCF services through AJAX, JQuery, or JSON enabled WCF Services. Can anyone provide any thoughts or experience with configuring as such?     Hi, I have an execute(String cmd) in a jsp script that calls the exec method from the Runtime class. It works when I call a local command, like a php script stored on the server. for example: /usr/bin/php /path/to/php/script arg1 arg2 So I guess my execute command is ok, since it is working with that. Now when I try to call lynx, the text-based web browser, it does not work. If I call it in a terminal, it works fine: /usr/bin/lynx -dump -accept_all_cookies 'http://www.someurl.net/?arg1=1&arg2=2' But when I call this from my execute command, nothing happens... Any idea why?     I have a simple web site (http://www.kousenit.com/twitterfollowervalue) that computes a quantity based on a person's Twitter followers. Since the Twitter API only returns followers 100 at a time, a complete process may involve lots of calls. At the moment, I have an Ajax call to a method that runs the Twitter loop. I call the controller via an Ajax call using the prototype library: On my web page, in the header section (JavaScript): function displayTTFV() { new Ajax.Updater('ttfv','renderTTFV.groovy', {}); } and there's a div in the body of the page that updates when the call is complete. Everything is working, but the updateFollowers method can take a fair amount of time. Is there some way I could return a progress value? For example, I'd like to update the web page on every iteration. I know ahead of time how many iterations there will be. I just can't figure out a way to update the page in the middle of that loop. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Is it because program dies at mysql_create_db?
