If I searched google I expect I would find tons of random guides, but trying them all until I found a good one could take ages... that's why I am asking: do you already know one in particular? one you KNOW is good?     I'm pretty familiar with Office 2007, however, I have just recently acquired OneNote 2007. It is such a big and powerful tool, that I'm pretty much lost on the features and how to use it. I don't really know where to start.     I have IE8 installed, I would like to test websites in IE6 and IE7. I cannot use Adobe's BrowserLab to test because the website needing tests contains dynamic content. I cannot find a good application to simulate IE6 or 7. Is one available/recommended? Or can I install and run IE6 through 8 on my machine at the same time?

  • Good Free Ubuntu Server VMWare Image Needed

    Can anyone recommend a good, free Ubuntu Server VMWare Image (or Virtual Appliance, as they call them)? I have looked on the VMWare VAM and there are literally hundreds to choose from. I am looking for something that can with very minimal effort serve as a development platform for LAMP applications (so it should have all of those installed, plus things like PhpMyAdmin). Bonus points if there is some way to create new Virtual Hosts (for developing and testing new sites) on Apache without having to go digging around conf files and guessing on the sytax.

Our department bought a rackmount server for the first unit, but I dont think this is adequate for applications that use graphics (correct me if I'm wrong - we bought a Dell R710). I would like to find something that will provide reliable wireless to areas of the building that aren't covered or get poor reception.     I am sick of buying cheap host-based printers that have bloated drivers, randomly fail to print, and won't work over a network. Is it possible to get a good color network printer for under $200 that doesn't have those problems? I don't care if it's laser or inkjet; I don't print enough for the ink cost to matter. I just want something that I can plug into my network, set up sharing on my PCs, and forget about.

  • Suggestions for a good under-drawer keyboard tray?

    I'm looking for a good keyboard tray that would attach to my desk drawer (one of the old metal SteelCase desks). Criteria: Stable and solid (we had one that wiggled and it drove me crazy). Allows the drawer to move in and out. Easy installation would be nice. Inexpensive (<$100) would be nice, but I'll consider expensive ones if they meet all of the above.

    I am considering getting a Hacom Mars II Dual Blade for use as a firewall in a data-center for one of my colocated solutions. As the 1U enclosure have two identical firewalls, I am intending to use one of the firewalls as the external firewall using packet-filtering and load balancer (balancing load for my front-end nodes), while using the second as the internal firewall (as an application gateway). But I have no experience with Hacom, or pfSense firewalls. They do look really good on paper, but how are they in practice ?

    Google docs doesn't have a database app (yet) but can anyone point me to a good, free, online substitute? It'll be for simple things like a database of my DVD collection and I'd want to be able to import/export using standard file formats and add/edit fields of existing databses.
