    Seit dem 14.09.2012 steht ein neues Release 2 von Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c zur Verfügung. Zum ersten Mal in der Geschichte von Enterprise Manager hat Oracle ein neues Release für alle Komponenten und Plattformen am gleichen Tag freigegeben. Das neue Release steht also sowohl bzgl. OMS als auch der Agenten für alle unterstützten Plattformen zur Verfügung. Damit kann das neue Release sofort für alle Umgebungen eingesetzt werden. Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c Release 2 trägt die Versionsnummer 12.1.0.2 und ist vor allem ein Stabilitätsrelease. Es enthält hauptsächlich Bugfixes und Performance-Verbesserungen. Es gibt aber auch einige neue Features. Der heutige Tipp zeigt die neuen Features auf.

  • Unable to re-install compizconfig-settings-manager

    While attempting to fix a problem with compiz settings manager, I got an idea from someone to purge compiz - sudo apt-get purge compiz. The compiz core packages are still intact however, the gui compizconfig-settings-manager is deleted and missing from synaptic. If I try to install through terminal I get: The following packages have unmet dependencies: compizconfig-settings-manager:i386 : Depends: python-compizconfig:i386 but it is not going to be installed Depends: python-gtk2:i386 but it is not going to be installed E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages Any suggestions or insight is appreciated.   • What are the roles of a Software Delivery Manager

    I have been told about a position that may be open to me - the role of a Software Delivery Manager. From what I understand this role does not already exist within my organisation. To be perfectly honest I'm not quite sure what a Software Delivery Manager's roles are. I have a few ideas and would appreciate some input around whether they are correct or not, or if there is anything missing: ensure the quality of the software being delivered document the relationships between the components being delivered ensure that the delivery of these components does not break other components ensure that the components being developed make the best use of the environments they are being deployed in being on-hand during software deliveries (though not actually performing the delivery of software, rather giving the Go) I have also been told that the role would include some software development work (which is important to me being a developer at heart!) - is there software development specifically associated with the role of Software Delivery Manager or is this more likely to just be a case of helping the team out when time is short?

  • How migrate my keyring (containing ssh passprases, nautilus remote filesystem, pgp passwords) and network manager connections?

    I changed the disk on my laptop and installed Ubuntu on the new disk. Old disk had 12.04 upgraded to 12.10 on it. Now I want to copy my old keyring with WiFi passwords, ftp passwords for nautilus and ssh key passphrases. I have the whole data from the old disk available (is now a USB disk and I did not delete the old data yet or do anything with it - I could still put it in the laptop and boot from it like nothing happened). On the new disc that is now in my laptop, I have installed 12.10 with the same password, user-id and username as on the old disk. Then I copied a few important config files from the old disk (e.g. ~/.firefox/, ~/.mozilla, ~/.skype and so on, which all worked fine... except for the key ring: The old methods of just copying ~/.gconf/... and ~/.gnome2/keyrings won't work. Did I miss something? 1. Edit: I figure one needs to copy files not located in the users home directory as well. I copied the whole old /home/confus (which is my home directory) to the fresh install to no effect. That whole copy is now reverted to the fresh install's home directory, so my /home/confus is as it was the after fresh install. 2. Edit: The folder /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections seems to be the place for WiFi passwords. Could be that /usr/share/keyrings is important as well for ssh keys - that's the only sensible thing that a search came up with: find /usr/ -name "*keyring* 3. Edit: Still no ssh and ftp passwords from the keyring. What I did: Convert old hard drive to usb drive Put new drive in the laptop and installed fresh version of 12.10 there (same uid, username and passwort) Booted from old hdd via USB and copied its /etc/NetwrokManager/system-connections, ~/.gconf/ and ~/.gnome2/keyrings, ~/.ssh over to the new disk. Confirmed that all keys on the old install work Booted from new disk Result: No passphrase for ssh keys, no ftp passwords in keyring. At least the WiFi passwords are migrated. 4. Edit: Boutny! Ending soon... 5. Edit: Keyring's now in ./local/share/keyrings/. Also interesting .gnupg

    I am thinking of going directly to companies and then giving them resume directly rather than by email. I know 60% of comapnies don't like it but there is still 40% of getting into something. My few friends have landed the jobs this way. I just want to know that when i reach the company , should i ask the receptionist for manager and talk directly to manager or first i should talk to receptionsist and tell her what i want. May be receptionist won't call the manager if she knew my intenstion. how should i proceed. Please help. I am thinking even if i can get some free internship for 2-3 months even that will be good. so that i can get my foot in. Is that ok to ask for internship or company may have problem with that

    I see some related questions have been asked, but they're either too advanced for me to grasp or lacking a step-by-step guide from start to finish (most of them end up being insider talk of their own experiment results). OK here it is, given this simple program: #include <stdio.h> #include <string.h> int main() { FILE * f; char buffer[100]; memset(buffer, 0, 100); fun(); f = fopen("main.cpp", "r"); fread(buffer, 1, 99, f); printf(buffer); fclose(f); return 0; } What it does is basically print itself (assume file name is main.cpp). Question How can I have it print another file, say foobar.txt without modifying the source code? It has something to do with running it through VS's, stepping through the functions and hijacking the FILE pointer right before fread() is called. No need to worry about leaking resources by calling fclose(). I tried the simple f = fopen("foobar.txt", "r") which gave CXX0017: Error: symbol "fopen" not found Any ideas? Edit I found out the solution accidentally on Debugging Mozilla on Windows FAQ. The correct command to put into the Immediate Window is f = {,,MSVCR100D}fopen("foo.txt", "r") However, it doesn't really answer this question: I still don't understand what is going on here. How to systematically find out the {,,MSVCR100D} part for any given method? I know the MSVCR version changes from system to system. How can I find that out? Could anyone explain the curly brace syntax, especially, what are those two commas doing there? Are there more hidden gems using this syntax?

    I am using Quickly and created the main window and a dialog. In the main window I am setting access to database (u1db) in the finish_initializing method (self.db=...). After an action I open a dialog where I need access to the database. I thought that I can use self.get_parent() in the dialog to get instance of the main window and access the database, but return value of the get_parent() is None. My question is, how can I access the instance of the parent window in the dialog or perhaps where should I place the instance of the database wrapper? There are two development teams/divisions within our company who each maintain public websites on these same servers. Is there a way through ACLs or some sort of rights management (e.g. individual logins) that I would only be able to see and maintain only my public sites and the other development team could only see and maintain their sites? The domains.live.com configuration page says: Godaddy's DNS manager isn't accepting this string Value: v=spf1 include:hotmail.com ~all it gives an error, something is wrong, either with the string or with the DNS manager and I would like to know how to fix it.     When using kubuntu I noticed that the standard task manager/system monitor was a bit more capable than gnome-system-monitor, is there a more advanced system/task monitor for ubuntu that is based on gnome opposed to KDE? Specifically the features from the Kubuntu task manager that I am looking for are the ability to control the I/O priority of individual processes (not just their nice), and the ability to control the I/O scheduling algorithm ( round-robin, FIFO, etc). Yes they are completely based on Oracle ADF  Can you give some examples of personalization and customization with Oracle Identity Manager 11gR2? With the new UI config framework we can enable different levels of UI customization. Customers now have the ability to Point & click to customize; or drag and drop customization without any need for coding. So users can easily personalize the interface of their application within the browser. For example, they can change the logo, Rearrange, hide Home Page regions; regularly searched items can be saved and re-used; Searchable & search results columns can be configured; Sorting preferences are remembered and so on. For more sophisticated customization, Customers can also edit the standard JSF within the page to alter business rules, modify page flows, page layouts and other items.
