    What is the right and best way to reallocate memory? for example I allocate 100 bytes with WinAPI function HeapAlloc then I fill 100 bytes of that memory with some data and now I want to add more new data at end of previous... What Should I do? Make a new allocation with more bytes and then copy old+new to new location and free old memory? Or there is some way to allocate new memory at end of old data and then copy only new data?

    New guy here. I asked a while back about a sprite recolouring program that I was having difficulty with and got some great responses. Basically, I tried to write a program that would recolour pixels of all the pictures in a given folder from one given colour to another. I believe I have it down, but, now the program is telling me that I have an invalid value specified for the red component of my colour. (ValueError: Invalid red value specified.), even though it's only being changed from 64 to 56. Any help on the matter would be appreciated!     Hello, Here is the problem statement : Calling a setter on the object should result in the object to change to an object of a different class, which language can support this ? Ex. I have a class called "Man" (Parent Class), and two children namely "Toddler" and "Old Man", they are its children because they override a behaviour in Man called as walk.( i.e Toddler sometimes walks using both his hands and legs kneeled down and the Old man uses a stick to support himself). The Man class has a attribute called age, I have a setter on Man,say it is called setAge(int ageValue). I have 3 objects, 2 toddlers, 1 old-Man. (The system is up and running,i guess when we say objects it is obvious) .I will make this call, toddler.setAge(80), I expect the toddler to change to an object of type Old Man.   • MS Access - Keeping track (transacation) of all activity while form is open...

    Hi and thanks for reading. I am not a database/vba guy and my experience is strictly in the JAVA world. However, I need to have an ACCESS form open. While it is open and new data is entered into it (via the underlying query OR any other data changes in other tables based on sql updates attached to buttons on this form), is there a way that I can initiate a transaction so that at the bottom of the form I could have a button that says "Exit and committ changes" or "Cancel and Rollback changes". I guess I thought of a situation where I could do something like: On Form OPEN, START TRANSACTION On "CLICK OK", COMMIT TRANSACTION or ON "CLICK CANCEL" ROLLBACK. I'm aware how to do the Workspace.BeginTransaction but I'm not sure if that will apply if I do it on FORM OPEN and then on FORM CLOSE do the COMMIT/ROLLBACK locgin? Any insight would be great.

    I bought a external Harddrive today, A Samsung. But I'm not able to do anything with it A few notes on that. I can't put anything on the harddrive. It keeps on 'preparing copying files' I can delete anything on the harddrive system files, except the folder ".Trashes". It gives error 'Unexpected error: -50' I've tried to empty my own trashcan, no changes. I've set the file permission on the .Trashes to read/write everyone, doesn;t change a thing Trying to format the whole drive with DiskUtility, but quits at start, because the drive cannot be deactivated I've tried a few terminal commands sudo -s -r rf /Volumes/Untitled\ 1/.Trashes - Directory not empty -r rf /Volumes/Untitled\ 1/.Trashes - no permissions Also cd /Volumes ls -al cd name_of_partition ls -al -rm -rf .Trashes Again: Permission error. Also: I can't change drive permissions via Disk Utility, via the button 'recover drive permissions', because it is 'blank' I really can't figure out how to delete .Trashes, format the drive or get the damn thing working. Any suggestions? p.s. If this is the wrong Stack Exchange site: Please redirect me!

    Hi All, I have a dataset which I want to use as a parameter for my chart in SSRS. The puzzle that I am trying to solve is as below. My DataSet has 4 columns and in the Dropdown parameter I can only specify label and value. I am not able to specify two columns as Label and two columns as value. Does anyone know how to concat the values in the dropdown? I don't want to concat these values in my sql query generating the dataset.
