  • How to convert JavaScript dictionary into Python syntax

    - by Sputnix
Writing out javascript dictionary from inside of JavaScript- enabled application (such as Adobe) into external .jsx file (or any other .txt file) the context of resulted file dictionary looks like: ({one:"1", two:"2"}) (Please note that each dictionary keys are written as they are the variables name (which is not true). A next step is to read this .jsx file with Python. I need to find a way to convert ({one:"1", two:"2"}) into Python dictionary syntax such as: {'one':"1", 'two':"2"} It has been already suggested that instead of using JavaScript's built-in dict.toSource() it would make more sense to use JSON which would write a dictionary content in similar to Python syntax. But unfortunately using JSON is not an option for me. I need to find a way to convert ({one:"1", two:"2"}) into {'one':"1", 'two':"2"} using Python alone. Any suggestions on how to achieve it? Once again, the problem mostly in dictionary keys syntax which inside of Python look like variable names instead of strings-like dictionary keys names: one vs "one"

  • Motion detection in compressed domain (JPEG/Mpeg4/H264)

    - by paft
everyone! I process video from IP cameras and have wrote a motion detection algorithm based on decompressed video analysis. But i really something more fast. I've found several papers about compressed domain analysis but have failed to find any implementations. Can anyone recommend me some code? found materials: http://www.ist-live.org/intranet/school-of-informatics-university-of-bradford001-7/41410206.pdf/view http://doc.rero.ch/lm.php?url=1000,43,4,20061128120121-NA/Bracamonte_Javier_-_A_Low_Complexity_Change_Detection_Algorithm_20061128.pdf

  • Who retains intellectual property rights when 2 people jointly created a website?

    - by EddieCatflap
Myself and one other person co-created a website for a freelancing artist. For simplicity I mean that I purely developed the site code whilst the domain and hosting setup and content were created by the other creator. Who, in effect, owns the intellectual property here? Or does the person that the site was created for own rights to the site and content once it has been declared 'live'?

  • Submitting a form on 'Enter' with jQuery?

    - by b. e. hollenbeck
I have a bog-standard login form - an email text field, a password field and a submit button on an AIR project that's using HTML/jQuery. When I hit Enter on the form, the entire form's contents vanish, but the form isn't submitted. Does anyone know if this is a Webkit issue (Adobe AIR uses Webkit for HTML), or if I've bunged things up? I tried: $('.input').keypress(function(e){ if(e.which == 13){ $('form#login').submit(); } }); But that neither stopped the clearing behavior, or submitted the form. There's no action associated with the form - could that be the issue? Can I put a javascript function in the action?

  • Retrieving the URL in Django template language

    - by Vernon
In a Django template, how could I refer to the URL. I want to use it in static pages, to avoid having live links to the current page. Is there a way to do this with the Django template language or do I have to use JavaScript to do it? I would like to do something like {% if current_url == "/about/" %} About {% else %} <a href='/about/'>About</a> {% endif %} I'm using it for a simple blog, so there are no views written for those pages.

  • AIR:- Desktop Application related to Window Component (Need some work around)

    - by Mahesh Parate
Create custom component which contains Combobox and Datagrid. Application conations two button 1) Same Window and 2) New Window. (Label of two button) When you click on “Same Window” button your custom component should get added dynamically in your application. And when you click on “New Window” button your custom component should get open in different window (it should get shifted from application and should appear in Window component). Issue faced:- Clicking on Combobox, list is not getting open as change event doesn’t get fired in Native Window as it looses reference from main application. Issue with DataGrid in Native window (AIR). • DataGridEvent.COLUMN_STRETCH event get affected if try to open datagrid in Native Window. • DataGridEvent get fired but takes long time or even stuck while column stretch Note: Application is an Desktop Application. Only one instance is created in Application for your custom component to preserve current state on your custom component it can be Style, data, or other subcomponent state of your custom component (as above mentioned 2 component are just sample). Please find sample code below:- DataGridStretchIssue.mxml:- < ?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"? < mx:WindowedApplication xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute" xmlns:local="*" width="800" height="500" < mx:Script < ![CDATA[ import mx.events.FlexEvent; import mx.core.Window; private var dgComp:DataGridComp = new DataGridComp(); private var win:Window; private function clickHandler(event:Event):void{ dgComp.percentWidth = 100; dgComp.percentHeight = 100; dgComp.x = 50; dgComp.y = 100; if(win){ win.close(); } this.addChild(dgComp); } private function openClickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void{ dgComp.x = 50; dgComp.y = 100; win = new Window();; win.width = 800; win.height = 500; win.addChild(dgComp); dgComp.percentWidth = 100; dgComp.percentHeight = 100; dgComp.x = 50; dgComp.y = 100; win.open(true) } ]]> < /mx:Script < mx:HBox <mx:Button id="btnID" click="clickHandler(event)" label="Same Window"/> <mx:Button id="btnIDOpen" click="openClickHandler(event)" label="New Window"/> < /mx:HBox < /mx:WindowedApplication DataGridComp.mxml < ?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"? < mx:Canvas xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" width="100%" height="100%" <mx:Script> <![CDATA[ import mx.events.DataGridEvent; import mx.collections.ArrayCollection; [Bindable] public var cards:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection( [ {label:"Visa", data:1}, {label:"MasterCard", data:2}, {label:"American Express", data:3} ]); private function stretchFn(event:DataGridEvent):void{ trace("--- Stretched---") } ]]> </mx:Script> <mx:HBox> <mx:ComboBox dataProvider="{cards}" width="150"/> <mx:DataGrid columnStretch="stretchFn(event)" > <mx:ArrayCollection> <mx:Object> <mx:Artist>Pavement</mx:Artist> <mx:Price>11.99</mx:Price> <mx:Album>Slanted and Enchanted</mx:Album> </mx:Object> <mx:Object> <mx:Artist>Pavement</mx:Artist> <mx:Album>Brighten the Corners</mx:Album> <mx:Price>11.99</mx:Price> </mx:Object> </mx:ArrayCollection> </mx:DataGrid> </mx:HBox> < /mx:Canvas Can any one suggest me some work around to make my code workable... :)

  • Outlook 2007 receives html mail as source with headers, others MUAs work fine. Why?

    - by Adriano Varoli Piazza
    I have a couple of simple forms that send an html-only email. Most clients (Gmail, Lotus Notes 8, hotmail/live, windows live mail, outlook express) receive the emails just fine, but Outlook 2007 does not. The code looks like this: $data=" <html> <body> <strong><u>$sub</u></strong><br><br> <strong>Name:</strong> {$_POST["nombre"]}<br><br> <strong>Phone:</strong>{$_POST["telefono"]}<br><br> <strong>Email:</strong> {$_POST["email"]}<br><br> <strong>Subject:</strong> {$_POST["asunto"]}<br><br> <strong>Question:</strong> {$_POST["consulta"]}</strong> </body> </html>"; $header = "Reply-To: $from\r\n"; $header .= "From: \"".$_POST["nombre"]."\" <$from>\r\n"; $header .= "MIME-Version: 1.0\r\n"; $header .= "Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1\r\n"; $enviado = mail($destino,$sub,$data,$header); ($from is the only part of the message validated) The message received by the customer looks like this: Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1 From: Consulta de "Boss" <[email protected]> Reply-To: [email protected] X-Mailer: PHP/ <strong><u>Solicitud de envío de recetas - CLIENT</u></strong><br><br><strong>Nombre y Apellido:</strong> Boss<br><br><strong>Email:</strong> [email protected]<br><br><br> Any ideas?

  • ASP.NET 4.0 hosting

    - by Paul
We have built an application on the ASP.NET 4.0 platform. We need to go live in the next two weeks and I want to find a host that will offer the RTM of .NET 4.0. Any ideas of any hosts that have plans to offer the newest version shortly after Monday's launch? I see a bunch with RC1 hosting, but I can't find any hard dates for offering the RTM.

  • Why does my PDF ask for a password after being retrieved from Visual SourceSafe?

    - by Schnapple
PREFACE: Yes we're moving away from VSS in the next few months. One of my web projects contains, as one of its files, a PDF. The PDF on our QA site is being pulled from VSS. A QA tester recently told me he's being prompted for a password when he tries to open it. VSS says the file I have on disk is different than the one it has, so I updated it, but afterwards it's still being shown as different. So basically VSS is mangling my PDF and the results are so wobbly that Adobe Acrobat Reader is confused and thinks it has a password. I've tried adding it as Auto-Detect and as Binary. Same results. Why does my PDF ask for a password after being retrieved from Visual SourceSafe and how can I prevent it?

  • Eclipse users: Do you use Aptana too?

    - by Glenn
This San Mateo development company makes a freely downloadable convenient packaging of many plugins for Eclipse called Aptana. I was recently in an environment where Aptana came pre-installed. Not only is it a good IDE for RoR, it also does a somewhat decent job (sans debugging) for PHP, Python, HTML, CSS, and Javascript. According to their own web site, their IDE also supports Adobe Air and the iPhone. If you are currently using Eclipse, then do you also use Aptana too? What, if any, are the drawbacks to using Aptana?

  • Storing JSON in an SQL Server database?

    - by JKirchartz
I'm developing a form generator, and wondering if it would be bad mojo to store JSON in an SQL Server database? I want to keep my database & tables simple, so I was going to have `pKey, formTitle, formJSON` on a table, and then store {["firstName":{"required":"true","type":"text"},"lastName":{"required":"true","type":"text"}} in formJSON. would this slow down the DB server too much to set live? Any input is appreciated.

  • MIDI on Android: Java and/or AIR libraries

    - by yar
I've been contemplating (re)building an app on iPad for some time, where I would use objective-C and DSMI to send MIDI signals to a host computer. This is not bad (I mean, except for actually writing the app). Now I'm contemplating perhaps developing the app for Android tablets (TBA). In Java, what options are available for MIDI message communication? I'm quite familiar with javax.sound.midi, but then I would need a virtual MIDI port to send messages to the host. On the other hand, if the app were done in Adobe AIR, what options would I have available for communicating with MIDI? Obviously another option is to send/receive messages over a TCP/IP socket to a Java host, and talk that way, but it sounds a tad cumbersome... or perhaps not? DSMI does use a host program, after all.

  • jquery get last ID of dynamic div

    - by Pjack
    Couldn't find an answer, but Im trying to get the last ID of the last div that was created on the page. The code I'm using doesn't seem to work using .last(). My syntax is probably wrong but I can't get it to show the ID. jQuery(document).ready(function() {jQuery("a.more_posts").live('click', function(event){ jQuery("div[id^='statuscontainer_']").last(); var id = parseInt(this.id.replace("statuscontainer_", "")); alert(id); }); });

  • Should we use server generated XAML to deliver our Silverlight/WPF UIs?

    - by brownj
Back in January 2009, Dino Esposito published an article on MSDN titled "Managing Dynamic Content Delivery In Silverlight". We are considering using an approach like this for an upcoming project and were wondering if anyone had any advice on whether this is a good approach. Are there any traps or pitfalls we should look out for? We currently use Prism and would need to look at how the two would live happily together.

  • Will a CF code run on regular server?

    - by Joann
I am tasked to integrate a CF code(about 70 lines) into our site then configure it to communicate to another site's server. However, our hosting site is just a typical server without CF support. Will the code run? All I know is that CF is Adobe's version of PHP and ASP. I have no experience coding it. Could you please enlighten me? From what I gathered from the internet, you have to have a CF server in order to run a CF code but the resources seem scarce. I just need someone knowledgeable to verify...

  • Is there something like the OllyDbg / SoftICE disassembler + debugger for java?

    - by Ran Biron
Is there a utility similar to OllyDbg / SoftICE for java? I.e. execute class (from jar / with class path) and, without source code, show the disassembly of the intermediate code with ability to step through / step over / search for references / edit specific intermediate code in memory / apply edit to file... If not, is it even possible to write something like this (assuming we're willing to live without hotspot for the debug duration)?

  • ActiveRecord: Produce multi-line human-friendly json

    - by Mika
Using ActiveRecord::Base.to_json I do: user = User.find_by_name 'Mika' {"created_at":"2011-07-10T11:30:49+03:00","id":5,"is_deleted":null,"name":"Mika"} Now, what I would like to have is: { "created_at":"2011-07-10T11:30:49+03:00", "id":5, "is_deleted":null, "name":"Mika" } Is there an option to do this? It would be great to have a global option, so that the behaviour be set depending on dev/live environment.

  • Authorize.net Payment integration

    - by Click Upvote
I'm looking to do Authorize.net payment integration with a website using PHP. My questions are: 1) Where I can find a tutorial, development guide, and/or code samples for doing this with PHP. 2) Is it possible to obtain a test account to do the integration like Paypal's sandbox, or does one need to have a live account to which you can pass an additional parameter to indicate the transaction is a test one? All other advice will also be helpful. Thanks!

  • How long will an ASP.NET MVC application run

    - by Christoph
I wonder how long will an ASP.NET (MVC) application run, when no new requests come in? Lets say I'm using an IOC Container ans have a Singleton Object serving to the clients. As far as I know it will serve different page requests. But how long will it live when no new request come in? Is there any timeout (maybe configured through IIS) that says when my app will shut down?
