  • Color picker does not give gradient appearance

    - by ykaratoprak
    i added below codes. But it generates to me 16 color. but i need 16 color between "red" and "khaki". i don't need gradient flow. My colors look like gradient flow. My colors must not closer to each other. Because i will use this codes return values in chart columns. they are too near each other. static class Program { [STAThread] static void Main() { Form form = new Form(); Color start = Color.Red, end = Color.Khaki; for (int i = 0; i < 16; i++) { int r = Interpolate(start.R, end.R, 15, i), g = Interpolate(start.G, end.G, 15, i), b = Interpolate(start.B, end.B, 15, i); Button button = new Button(); button.Dock = DockStyle.Top; button.BackColor = Color.FromArgb(r, g, b); form.Controls.Add(button); button.BringToFront(); } Application.Run(form); } static int Interpolate(int start, int end, int steps, int count) { float s = start, e = end, final = s + (((e - s) / steps) * count); return (int)final; } }

  • How to change a Window Owner using its handle

    - by Ricky AH
I want to make a .NET Form as a TopMost Form for another external App (not .NET related, pure Win32) so it stays above that Win32App, but not the rest of the apps running. I Have the handle of the Win32App (provided by the Win32App itself), and I've tried Win32 SetParent() function, via P/Invoke in C#, but then my .NET Form gets confined into the Win32App and that's not what I want.

  • Unexpected $end in PHP file

    - by mattbd
I'm working on a PHP contact form, but I can't get it to work. I get the following error in the Apache server log, running on an Ubuntu Server VM: PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/matthew/Sites/contactFormResponse.php on line 75, referer: http://192.168.1.4/contactForm.php From googling this error, it sounds like it's normally caused by either using the short PHP tag when the server's not set up to recognise them, or by having a block of code that isn't closed correctly. But as far as I can see that isn't the case here - as far as I can see it's all closed correctly. Here's the PHP code: <?php error_reporting(E_ALL); // Define variables to hold the name, email address and message, and import the information into the variables $name = $_POST['NameInput']; $email = $_POST['EmailAddress']; $telno = $_POST['ContactNumber']; $querytype = $_POST['QueryType']; $bookingstartdate = $_POST['BookingStartDay'] . $_POST['BookingStartMonth'] . $_POST['BookingStartYear']; $bookingenddate = $_POST['BookingEndDay'] . $_POST['BookingEndMonth'] . $_POST['BookingEndYear']; $message = $_POST['QueryText']; // Validate the inputs - send it if it's OK if(3 < strlen($name) && 3 < strlen($email)) { $email_message = <<< EMAIL Message from contact form at holidaychalet.co.uk Name: $name Email: $email Contact Number: $telno Query Type: $querytype Booking Start Date: $bookingstartdate Booking End Date: $bookingenddate The message: $message EMAIL; $headers = "cc:[email protected]\r\n"; if(mail('matthew@localhost','Contact form email', $email_message, $headers)) { echo "Thanks for completing the form! I'll be in touch shortly!"; } else { echo "Something went wrong - please use the back button and try again"; } } else { echo "You didn't complete the form fully enough! Please use go back using your web browser's back button"; } ?>

  • Python and mechanize login script

    - by Perun
Hi fellow programmers! I am trying to write a script to login into my universities "food balance" page using python and the mechanize module... This is the page I am trying to log into: http://www.wcu.edu/11407.asp The website has the following form to login: <FORM method=post action=https://itapp.wcu.edu/BanAuthRedirector/Default.aspx><INPUT value=https://cf.wcu.edu/busafrs/catcard/idsearch.cfm type=hidden name=wcuirs_uri> <P><B>WCU ID Number<BR></B><INPUT maxLength=12 size=12 type=password name=id> </P> <P><B>PIN<BR></B><INPUT maxLength=20 type=password name=PIN> </P> <P></P> <P><INPUT value="Request Access" type=submit name=submit> </P></FORM> From this we know that I need to fill in the following fields: 1. name=id 2. name=PIN With the action: action=https://itapp.wcu.edu/BanAuthRedirector/Default.aspx This is the script I have written thus far: #!/usr/bin/python2 -W ignore import mechanize, cookielib from time import sleep url = 'http://www.wcu.edu/11407.asp' myId = '11111111111' myPin = '22222222222' # Browser #br = mechanize.Browser() #br = mechanize.Browser(factory=mechanize.DefaultFactory(i_want_broken_xhtml_support=True)) br = mechanize.Browser(factory=mechanize.RobustFactory()) # Use this because of bad html tags in the html... # Cookie Jar cj = cookielib.LWPCookieJar() br.set_cookiejar(cj) # Browser options br.set_handle_equiv(True) br.set_handle_gzip(True) br.set_handle_redirect(True) br.set_handle_referer(True) br.set_handle_robots(False) # Follows refresh 0 but not hangs on refresh > 0 br.set_handle_refresh(mechanize._http.HTTPRefreshProcessor(), max_time=1) # User-Agent (fake agent to google-chrome linux x86_64) br.addheaders = [('User-agent','Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/535.11 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/17.0.963.56 Safari/535.11'), ('Accept', 'text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,*/*;q=0.8'), ('Accept-Encoding', 'gzip, deflate, sdch'), ('Accept-Language', 'en-US,en;q=0.8'), ('Accept-Charset', 'ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.3')] # The site we will navigate into br.open(url) # Go though all the forms (for debugging only) for f in br.forms(): print f # Select the first (index two) form br.select_form(nr=2) # User credentials br.form['id'] = myId br.form['PIN'] = myPin br.form.action = 'https://itapp.wcu.edu/BanAuthRedirector/Default.aspx' # Login br.submit() # Wait 10 seconds sleep(10) # Save to a file f = file('mycatpage.html', 'w') f.write(br.response().read()) f.close() Now the problem... For some odd reason the page I get back (in mycatpage.html) is the login page and not the expected page that displays my "cat cash balance" and "number of block meals" left... Does anyone have any idea why? Keep in mind that everything is correct with the header files and while the id and pass are not really 111111111 and 222222222, the correct values do work with the website (using a browser...) Thanks in advance EDIT Another script I tried: from urllib import urlopen, urlencode import urllib2 import httplib url = 'https://itapp.wcu.edu/BanAuthRedirector/Default.aspx' myId = 'xxxxxxxx' myPin = 'xxxxxxxx' data = { 'id':myId, 'PIN':myPin, 'submit':'Request Access', 'wcuirs_uri':'https://cf.wcu.edu/busafrs/catcard/idsearch.cfm' } opener = urllib2.build_opener() opener.addheaders = [('User-agent','Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/535.11 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/17.0.963.56 Safari/535.11'), ('Accept', 'text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,*/*;q=0.8'), ('Accept-Encoding', 'gzip, deflate, sdch'), ('Accept-Language', 'en-US,en;q=0.8'), ('Accept-Charset', 'ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.3')] request = urllib2.Request(url, urlencode(data)) open("mycatpage.html", 'w').write(opener.open(request)) This has the same behavior...

  • asp.net: Where can I put my source files.

    - by David Sykes
I am developing a web form using Visual Web Developer Currently I have class source files in the same directory as the web form, or in the App_Code folder. I'd like to organise the files into folders within the web form folder, but I can't find a way of adding a reference to the folders, and they don't seem to be being picked up automatically. These are files that are under constant development. What is the asp.net/c#'s equivalent concept to c++'s #include?

  • Multiple remote_form_for on the same page causes duplicate ids

    - by Ben Scheirman
I've got a rails app that displays a list of items called modules. I'm iterating over these, rendering a partial for each one that includes a remote_form_for call. This all works, but fails HTML validation because my form text fields all have the same id. Is there a :prefix option on the form (or something else) I can use to get around this? Update: (some code) //_module_form.html.erb <% remote_form_for app_module do |f| %> <%= f.label :name %> <%= f.text_field :name %> <%= submit_tag 'Save' %> <%end %> //parent page <% @thing.modules.each do |app_module| %> <%= render :partial => "module_form", :locals => { :app_module => app_module } %> <% end %> So if I have more than 1 item in the collection, I render the identical form on the same page, and the form id and textbox id are duplicated. I can customize the form id pretty easily, but what about the text_box, since the controller is looking for specific named controls?

  • How Do I Prevent Rails From Treating Edit Fields_For Differently From New Fields_For

    - by James
I am using rails3 beta3 and couchdb via couchrest. I am not using active record. I want to add multiple "Sections" to a "Guide" and add and remove sections dynamically via a little javascript. I have looked at all the screencasts by Ryan Bates and they have helped immensely. The only difference is that I want to save all the sections as an array of sections instead of individual sections. Basically like this: "sections" => [{"title" => "Foo1", "content" => "Bar1"}, {"title" => "Foo2", "content" => "Bar2"}] So, basically I need the params hash to look like that when the form is submitted. When I create my form I am doing the following: <%= form_for @guide, :url => { :action => "create" } do |f| %> <%= render :partial => 'section', :collection => @guide.sections %> <%= f.submit "Save" %> <% end %> And my section partial looks like this: <%= fields_for "sections[]", section do |guide_section_form| %> <%= guide_section_form.text_field :section_title %> <%= guide_section_form.text_area :content, :rows => 3 %> <% end %> Ok, so when I create the guide with sections, it is working perfectly as I would like. The params hash is giving me a sections array just like I would want. The problem comes when I want edit guide/sections and save them again because rails is inserting the id of the guide in the id and name of each form field, which is screwing up the params hash on form submission. Just to be clear, here is the raw form output for a new resource: <input type="text" size="30" name="sections[][section_title]" id="sections__section_title"> <textarea rows="3" name="sections[][content]" id="sections__content" cols="40"></textarea> And here is what it looks like when editing an existing resource: <input type="text" value="Foo1" size="30" name="sections[cd2f2759895b5ae6cb7946def0b321f1][section_title]" id="sections_cd2f2759895b5ae6cb7946def0b321f1_section_title"> <textarea rows="3" name="sections[cd2f2759895b5ae6cb7946def0b321f1][content]" id="sections_cd2f2759895b5ae6cb7946def0b321f1_content" cols="40">Bar1</textarea> How do I force rails to always use the new resource behavior and not automatically add the id to the name and value. Do I have to create a custom form builder? Is there some other trick I can do to prevent rails from putting the id of the guide in there? I have tried a bunch of stuff and nothing is working. Thanks in advance!

  • [grails] setting cookies when render type is "contentType: text/json"

    - by Robin Jamieson
Is it possible to set cookies on response when the return render type is set as json? I can set cookies on the response object when returning with a standard render type and later on, I'm able to get it back on the subsequent request. However, if I were to set the cookies while rendering the return values as json, I can't seem to get back the cookie on the next request object. What's happening here? These two actions work as expected with 'basicForm' performing a regular form post to the action, 'withRegularSubmit', when the user clicks submit. // first action set the cookie and second action yields the originally set cookie def regularAction = { // using cookie plugin response.setCookie("username-regular", "regularCookieUser123",604800); return render(view: "basicForm"); } // called by form post def withRegularSubmit = { def myCookie = request.getCookie("username-regular"); // returns the value 'regularCookieUser123' return render(view: "resultView"); } When I switch to setting the cookie just before returning from the response with json, I don't get the cookie back with the post. The request starts by getting an html document that contains a form and when doc load event is fired, the following request is invoked via javascript with jQuery like this: var someUrl = "http://localhost/jsonAction"; $.get(someUrl, function(jsonData) { // do some work with javascript} The controller work: // this action is called initially and returns an html doc with a form. def loadJsonForm = { return render(view: "jsonForm"); } // called via javascript when the document load event is fired def jsonAction = { response.setCookie("username-json", "jsonCookieUser456",604800); // using cookie plugin return render(contentType:'text/json') { 'pair'('myKey': "someValue") }; } // called by form post def withJsonSubmit = { def myCookie = request.getCookie("username-json"); // got null value, expecting: jsonCookieUser456 return render(view: "resultView"); } The data is returned to the server as a result of the user pressing the 'submit' button and not through a script. Prior to the submit of both 'withRegularSubmit' and 'withJsonSubmit', I see the cookies stored in the browser (Firefox) so I know they reached the client.

  • DataContractSerializer and XSLT

    - by Russ Clark
I've got a simple Employee class that I'm trying to serialize to an XDocument and then use XSLT to transform the document to a page that displays both the properties (Name and ID) from the Employee class, and an html form with 2 radio buttons (Approve and Reject) and a submit button. Here is the Employee class: [Serializable, DataContract(Namespace="XSLT_MVC.Controllers/")] public class Employee { [DataMember] public string Name { get; set; } [DataMember] public int ID { get; set; } public Employee() { } public Employee(string name, int id) { Name = name; ID = id; } public XDocument GetDoc() { XDocument doc = new XDocument(); var serializer = new DataContractSerializer(typeof(Employee)); using (var writer = doc.CreateWriter()) { serializer.WriteObject(writer, this); writer.Close(); } return doc; } } And here is the XSLT file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" > <xsl:output method="html" indent="yes"/> <xsl:template match="/"> <html> <body> <xsl:value-of select="Employee/Name"/> <br /> <xsl:value-of select="Employee/ID"/> <br /> <form method="post" action="/Home/ProcessRequest?id={Employee/ID}"> <input id="Action" name="Action" type="radio" value="Approved"></input> Approved <br /> <input id="Action" name="Action" type="radio" value="Rejected"></input> Rejected <br /> <input type="submit" value="Submit"></input> </form> </body> </html> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> When I run this, all I get is the html form with the 2 radio buttons and the submit button, but not the properties from the Employee class. I saw a separate StackOverflow post that said I need to change the <xsl:template match="/"> to match on the namespace of my Employee class like this: <xsl:template match="/XSLT_MVC.Controllers">, but when I do that, now all I get are the Employee properties, and not the html form with the 2 radio buttons and the submit button. Does anyone know what needs to be done so that my transform will select and display both the Employee properties and the html form?

  • PHP, include with parameters

    - by chris
hi! I have a PHP-file which will be called from a form. So it gets parameters over $_GET. Now I need the exact same functionality of this file, but not in such a form-call. I will include it in normal code with fixed parameters (which normally come from the form). So my file can work with the form AND without it. I know only the way with include and setting the $_GET in front of it. But I am not sure this is the most elegant way (I dont like the idea of setting things like $_GET). any other ways of doing this? br, chris

  • Choosing connectionstring in VB.NET application at startup

    - by MatsT
I have a VB.NET application with a connection to an SQL Server 2003. On the server there are two databases, MyDatabase and MyDatabase_Test. What I would like to do is to show a dialog when the program starts that let's the user choose which database to use. My idea is to create a new form as the starup form that sets this property and then launches the main form. Currently the connectionstring is specified in the application config file. Best would be if I can specify two different connection strings in that file to choose from, but for now it is also acceptable with other solutions like hardcoding the two connectionstrings into the startup form.

Any other good design considerations I shold do ?

  • How do I chain forms in Access? (pass values between them)

    - by jeff porter
Hello, I'm using Access 2007 and have a data model like this... Passenger - Bookings - Destinations So 1 Passenger can have Many Bookings, each for 1 Destinations. My problem... I can create a form to allow the entry of Passenger details, but I then want to add a NEXT button to take me to a form to enter the details of the Booking (i.e. just a simple drop list of the Destinations). I've added the NEXT button and it has the events of RunCommand SaveRecord OpenForm Destination_form BUT, I cant work out how to pass accross to the new form the primary key of the passenger that was just entered (PassengerID). I'd really like to have just one form, and that allow the entry of the Passenger details and the selection of a Destination, that then creates the entries in the 2 Tables (Passenger & Bookings), but I can't get that to work either. Can anyone help me out please? Thanks Jeff Porter

  • Issue on dojo onlick event on html button

Does anyone know this?

  • html select execute javascript onload

    - by portoalet
    I am using HTML select onchange event to fire another javascript function func1. This html select is written into a form element, which are dynamically generated when users click on a button. The problem is how can I fire the javascript func1 when the dynamically generated form is first shown ? I am thinking of something along the line of on_first_show event for form ? Here is the snippet. I couldnt get the alert('don') to work either (the one just after div) var sPopupContents = "<div ><script type='text/javascript'>alert('don');</script> </div>"; // this javascript is not executed ? I cant get the alert. sPopupContents += "<form name='theform' >"; sPopupContents += "<select name='theselect' onchange='alert(2);"; sPopupContents += "func1()>'"; sPopupContents += "<option value='0' selected='selected'>Value1</option><option value='1'>Value2</option><br/>"; sPopupContents += "</form>";

  • Service Application too visible

    - by Tom
Working on a service application in Delphi 5 that is intended to run on Windows XP - 7. Most of the application is coming together nicely, but I'm running into one issue. Part of this service application is a form that displays data occasionally (similar to the slider box Avast uses to let you know its updated). When the service shows the form, the form displays on the taskbar, but we don't want it to. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to hide the form's button on the taksbar? None of the standard methods I've found for regular applications have worked so far. Thanks.

  • C#, WinForms: What would prevent KeyDown events from chaining up from focused control up to main For

    - by blak3r
As i understand it, when a keyboard button is pressed it should invoke the KeyDown event for the control which has focus. Then, the KeyDown for the parent control, so on and so forth until it reaches main form. UNLESS - along the chain one of the EventHandlers did: e.SuppressKeyPress = true; e.Handled = true; In my case, KeyDown events never get to the main form. I have Form - Panel - button for example.
