    I am looking into the iPhone in app purchased models and need to implement a subscription. Ex content will be available for 24 hours. Now the most important thing is that it needs to be available on all the other devices, so bought on the iPhone, viewable on the iPad. I'm not sure how this works ? I need to store some information on the developer server but is this the transaction id and current date/time so when launching the app on the iPad, you will attempt to buy the content again. Apple will see that this user already bought that and hopefully returns the transaction ID. At that moment I can verify if the time limit it still valid or not. Can anyone confirm this method off working? If this is correct is there a 'renew'?

    REPHRASED QUESTION: I am coming up with a list of possible image bit depth values that could be used as a predefined reference list in my application. I could think of 8,16,24 and 32 bit depths. The image formats considered are BMP, JPEG, PNG and GIF. I understand the bit depth decides the quality and thereby the storage requirements for the image. The application is used to store user uploaded images(non-medical, non-DICOM). Are there more bit depths other than the ones mentioned above that i should be including in my list? Are there any stats on the usage of the images with bit depths? Appreciate your response!

  • Why does Tomcat 6 hang when I shut it down?

    I have Tomcat 6.0.24 64 bit installed on two Windows Server 2008 boxes as a Window's service. I use the Tomcat Monitor application to start and stop Tomcat. Randomly on both boxes, the server will not shutdown when the Stop Service option is selected. Both Start Service and Stop Service remain grayed out until I open a task manager and kill tomcat6.exe. This also happens with Tomcat 6.0.20 installed on these boxes, however it does not happen on my 32 bit Windows 7 machine. What is causing this?

  • Timespan not accepting day in MVC3

    I have a MVC3 application in which i want to set a timespan to for example 2 days and 5 hours. when i enter 02:05:00:00 it gives me the following exception: System.OverflowException: SqlDbType.Time overflow. Value '2.05:00:00' is out of range. Must be between 00:00:00.0000000 and 23:59:59.9999999. When i enter 05:00:00 it correctly saves 5 hours into the database. according to MSDN timespan has a property for days. How do i correctly set the days? Model: public class ProductionTimeVM { [Required] public TimeSpan DefaultTime { get; set; } } In my view i just use: @Html.TextBoxFor(x => x.DefaultTime) For my controller: public ActionResult SaveProductionTime(ProductionTimeVM vm) { ProductionTime productionTime = new ProductionTime(); productionTime.Default = vm.DefaultTime; //some more code } Any idea's?

    This is a follow up to this question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2930256/unique-responses-rails-gem I'm going to create an index based on the user id, url and a date type. I want date type (not datetime type) because I want the day, the 24 hour day to be part of the index to avoid duplication of page views counts on the same day. In other words: A view only counts once in a day by a visitor. I also want the default value of that column (viewdate) to be the function GETDATE(). This is what I have in my migration: execute "ALTER TABLEpage_viewsADD COLUMN viewdate datetime DEFAULTGETDATE()`" But the value viewdate is always empty. What am I missing? (as an aside, any other suggestions for accomplishing this goal?)

    Im running a asp.net website on windows 2003 ii6. Every 24-28 hours im getting the following error: When the error occurres all users are disconnected from the website. Event Type: Warning Event Source: W3SVC Event Category: None Event ID: 1013 Date: 02/02/2010 Time: 19:29:38 User: N/A A process serving application pool 'DefaultAppPool' exceeded time limits during shut down. Is this related to application pool recycle? if so , is it a must to recycle iis pool? thanks!

Problem on here is that When i set replication_factor of this keyspace from 1 to 2 (contain 10 counter column family ), all cpu of node increase from 10% ( when use replication factor=1) to --- 90%. :( :( who can help me work around that :( . why counter column consume too much cpu time :(. thanks all

  • Automatic logout in python web app

    I have a web application in python wherein the user submits their email and password. These values are compared to values stored in a mysql database. If successful, the script generates a session id, stores it next to the email in the database and sets a cookie with the session id, with allows the user to interact with other parts of the sight. When the user clicks logout, the script erases the session id from the database and deletes the cookie. The cookie expires after 5 hours. My concern is that if the user doesnt log out, and the cookie expires, the script will force him to login, but if he has copied the session id from before, it can still be validated. How do i automatically delete the session id from the mysql database after 5 hours?

If you wish to run it on a 64-bit machine, you'll have to change at least the line return malloc(24). Changing to return malloc(48) should work.

  • Linux, how to capture screen, and simulate mouse movements.

    Hi All I need to capture screen (as print screen) in the way so I can access pixel color data, to do some image recognition, after that I will need to generate mouse events on the screen such as left click, drag and drop (moving mouse while button is pressed, and then release it). Once its done, image will be deleted. Note: I need to capture whole screen everything that user can see, and I need to simulate clicks outside window of my program (if it makes any difference) Spec: Linux ubuntu Language: C++ Performance is not very important,"print screen" function will be executed once every ~10 sec. Duration of the process can be up to 24 hours so method needs to be stable and memory leaks free (as usuall :) I was able to do in windows with win GDI and some windows events, but I'ev no idea how to do it in Linux.   • Struct size containing vector<T> different sizes between DLL and EXE..

    I have this situation where an EXE program imports a DLL for a single function call. It works by passing in a custom structure and returning a different custom structure. Up till now it's worked fine until I wanted one of the structs data members to be a vector < MyStruct When I do a sizeof(vector< MyStruct ) in my program I get a size of 20 but when I do it from inside the DLL I get a size of 24. This size inconsistency is causing a ESP pointer error. Can anyone tell me why a Vector < MyStruct would be a different size in the DLL than in the program? I have reverified that my structs in both the DLL and the Program are identical. I would appreciate any help on the subject. Thank you.

    I have this pseudo-code in java: bytes[] hash = MD5.hash("example"); String hexString = toHexString(hash); //This returns something like a0394dbe93f bytes[] hexBytes = hexString.getBytes("UTF-8"); Now, hexBytes[] and hash[] are different. I know I'm doing something wrong since hash.length() is 16 and hexBytes.length() is 32. Maybe it has something to do with java using Unicode for chars (just a wild guess here). Anyways, the question would be: how to get the original hash[] array from the hexString.     let say i have send email program which need to run arround 7 hours. but i cant open the browser for 7 hours beside cronjob, ignore_user_abort() will it be a solution? will the script stop when all email has sent and the program has finish the loop? or it will keep eating the server memory? some people said u may need to add some output at the end of the program to avoid the program run forever? and some people also said echo a litte bit string will not stop the script, but has to use ob_flush, any example for this?

However, it shows up if I remove the 'through' parameter in the ManyToManyField declaration. What's up with that? I've registered all three models (plus Tag) to the admin site in admin.py. TIA

    I have a MySQL Server operating just fine if I access him from his local LAN (192.168.100.0/24). If I try to access hin from another LAN (192.168.113.0/24 in this case) it hangs for a really long time before delivering the result. SHOW PROCESSLIST; shows this process in Sleep, State empty.   • How many records can i store in a Sql server table before it's getting ugly?

    Hi, i've been asked to do some performance tests for a new system. It is only just running with a few client, but as they expect to grow, these are the numbers i work with for my test: 200 clients, 4 years of data, and the data changes per.... 5 minutes. So for every 5 minutes for every client there is 1 record. That means 365*24*12 = 105.000 records per client per year, that means 80 milion records for my test. It has one FK to another table, one PK (uniqueidentifier) and one index on the clientID. Is this something SqlServer laughs about because it isn't scaring him, is this getting too much for one quad core 8 GB machine, is this on the edge, or..... Has anybody had any experience with these kind of numbers?
