  • IE and replaceWith not preserving radio button state

    - by copelco
    Hello, I've run into an issue regarding replaceWith not maintaining the state of a moved radio button input. I've prepared a simple example illustrating this issue. This works in FF and Chrome, but not IE. Is there a way around this? Thanks! jsbin: http://jsbin.com/unola4/2 code: <html> <head> <script class="jsbin" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3.2/jquery.min.js"></script> <title>IE replaceWith issue</title> <script type='text/javascript'> $(function(){ $('a').click(function(e) { e.preventDefault(); $('#temp').replaceWith($('#window').children()); }); }); </script> </head> <body> <a href='#'>run replaceWith</a> <p>Select a radio button and then click "run replaceWith". • IE7 Debug Issue - Word Breaks in <li>

    - by JCHASE11
    Hello, I am having a very basic problem in IE7 that I cannot seem to fix. If you look at this page: http://vitaminjdesign.com/IAM/company/ you will notice that the vertical nav (ul id="leftcol") is displaying incorrectly in IE7. Each word appears on its own line. Here is my HTML /. CSS: <ul id="leftcol"> <li><a class="active" href="#">Company Overview</a></li> <li><a href="#">Why Choose Parker?</a></li> <li><a href="#">Testimonials</a></li> <li><a href="#">Financing Promotions</a></li> <li><a href="#">Licensing & Credentials</a></li> </ul> ul#leftcol{float:left; width:185px; position:relative; z-index:10;} ul#leftcol li{float:right; clear:right; margin-bottom:14px; list-style:none; list-style-image:none; text-align:right; line-height:1.3; } ul#leftcol li a{color:#505050; text-decoration:none; font-size:15px; float:right;} ul#leftcol li a.active,ul#leftcol li a:hover{color:#89b060;} Any ideas?

  • Javafx Layout problem with VBox & HBoxes

    - by pgpatrudu
    When I run the following, I noticed spacing between nodes; My research revealed that - 1) If I do not add any text to win1 via setwininfo, then there is no problem. 2) When I include this code in a larger app, and when a button click is reveived from some where else, mysteriously the spacing gets corrected. 3) I tried binding the win1 & win2 nodes to content of scene - but no luck. def mainframew : Integer = 250; def mainframeh : Integer = 500; class CtrlWindow extends CustomNode { var wininfo : String; var fsize : Integer; var width : Integer; public function setWinInfo(info : String) { wininfo = info; } override protected function create () : Node { var win = Group { content: [ VBox { content: [ Text { font : Font { size: fsize } content : bind wininfo textAlignment : TextAlignment.CENTER // did not work } ] } Rectangle { width: width, height: 25 fill: Color.TRANSPARENT strokeWidth : 2 stroke : Color.SILVER } ] } return win; } } public function run(args : String[]) { var win1 = CtrlWindow{fsize:14, width:mainframew}; var win2 = CtrlWindow{fsize:14, width:mainframew}; win1.setWinInfo("The spacing between these nodes"); win2.setWinInfo("corrects itself after receiving an event"); Stage { title : "MyApp" scene: Scene { width: mainframew height: mainframeh content: [ VBox { spacing: 0 content: [ HBox { content: win1 } HBox { content: win2 } ] } ] } }

  • own drawImage / drawLine in OpenGL

    - by Chrise
    I'm implementing some native 2D-draw functions in my graphics engine for android, but now there's another question coming up, when I observe the performance of my program. At the moment I'm implementing a drawLine/drawImage function. In summary, there are following different values for drawing each different line / image: the color the alpha value the width of the line rotation (only for images) size/scale (also for images) blending method (subrtract, add, normal-alpha) Now, when an imageLine is drawn, I put the CPU-calculated vertex-positions and uv-values for 6 vertices (2 triangles), into a Floatbuffer and draw it immediately with drawArrays, after passing information for drawing (color,alpha, etc.) via uniforms to the shader. When I draw an image, the pre-set VBO is directly drawn after passing information. The first fact I recognized, is: of course drawing Images is much faster, than imagelines (beacuse of VBOs), but also: I cannot pre-put vertex-data into a VBO for imageLines, because imageLines have no static shape like normal images (varying linelength, varying linewidth and the vertex positions of x1,y1 and x2,y2 change too often) That's why I use a normal Floatbuffer, instead of a VBO. So my question is: What's the best way for managing images, and other 2D-graphics functions. For me it's some kind of important, that the user of the engine is able to draw as many images/2D graphics as possible, without loosing to much performance. You can find the functions for drawing images, imagelines, rects, quads, etc. here: https://github.com/Chrise55/LLama3D/blob/master/Llama3DLibrary/src/com/llama3d/object/graphics/image/ImageBase.java Here an example how it looks with many images (testing artificial neural networks), it works fine, but already little bit slow with that many images... :(

  • Jquery :not()selector

    <html lang="en"> <head> <style> #thisdiv {padding:10px; margin:-15px 0 0 40px; background-color:#333; position:absolute; display:none;} div.block {margin-top:10px; width:200px;} div#thisdiv a {color:#fff;} </style> </head> <body> <div id ="one" class="block"><a href="">one</a></div> <div id="thisdiv">hello</div> <div id ="two"class="block">two</div> <div id ="three"class="block">three/div> <script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.js"></script> <script> $(document).ready(function() { $('#one').hover(function() { $('#thisdiv').fadeIn(400); }); $('div:not(#thisdiv)').mouseleave(function() { $('#thisdiv').fadeOut(400) }); }); </script> </body> </html> #thisdiv doesn't fadeOut. I could have used the following, but it only fades out if the cursor mouse outs of #thisdiv. Is there any way i can solve this so when the cursor navigates away from anyway, the div still fade out. $('#thisdiv').mouseleave(function() { $('#thisdiv').fadeOut(400) }); I couldn't figure out what's why jquery's :not selector is not doing what I wanted to. Am i using it wrongly?

  • Can I create a Google calendar for a user in a hosted domain using the admin credentials

    - by user351013
    I use the admin credentials for all of my interactions with the google api and I can retrieve\create\update\delete events from and for all of my hosted domain users. However, when I go to create a calendar for a hosted domain user, the calendar is created in the admins space. In the example below the GoogleUserName does NOT match the GoogleAccount. The postUri would look similar to : http://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/[email protected]/owncalendars/full and the GoogleUserName is [email protected]. The api creates a calendar but it is in the admins space. CalendarService service = new CalendarService("Test"); service.setUserCredentials(GoogleUserName, GooglePassword); CalendarEntry calendar = new CalendarEntry(); calendar.TimeZone = "America/Chicago"; calendar.Title.Text = Title; calendar.Summary.Text = Description; calendar.Color = Color; calendar.Selected = true; calendar.Hidden = false; Uri postUri = new Uri(String.Format("http://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/{0}/owncalendars/full", GoogleAccount)); CalendarEntry createdCalendar = (CalendarEntry)service.Insert(postUri, calendar); The documentation does specify to use the users credentials however the documentation is not specific to hosted domains a great deal of the time and as such I am always attempting trial and error when trying interactions. That I can use all of the CRUD on the user's events themselves using the admin credentials leaves me to believe that it might be possible.

  • How to use a divider in a navigation with list elements?

    - by Kris
    I want to create a navigation which got divider between each list element. Here is a simple HTML/CSS Code/Template : <nav> <ul> <li><a href="#">A</a></li> <li><a href="#">B</a></li> <li><a href="#">C</a></li> <li><a href="#">D</a></li> <li><a href="#">E</a></li> </ul> </nav> nav ul { list-style:none; float:right; } nav ul li { float:left; padding-left:10px; } nav ul li a { color:#111; font-family:Verdana; font-size:15px; text-decoration:none; } nav ul li a:hover { color:#9F3039; } so just a simple looking navigation which floats from the right side on a logo which is not displayed in the code here. Now I want to at devider between each link - I know I could do it with border-right and just use another class on my last listelement which set the border-right off, BUT I want to use a special kind of divider - an image. How can I do it best ?

  • div:hover is affecting all elements below

    Here is a sample fiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/K2zyU/4/ The problem I am experiencing is that the main navigation hover is applying to the sub navigation items. If for example, I were to move the list above the main navigation div the hover works as I would expect? I'm unsure of what I'm missing / doing wrong in this case. <div class="main">MAIN NAV<div> <ul class="sub"> <li>SUB NAV 1</li> <li>SUB NAV 2</li> <li>SUB NAV 3</li> <li>SUB NAV 4</li> <li>SUB NAV 5</li> <li>SUB NAV 6</li> </ul> .main:hover, .sub li:hover { color: black; background-color: #f3ffff; opacity: .6; }

When user searches for a search term with multiple words like "different fonts". How can I add highlighting to make the html string look like: <b>This</b> <i>string</i> <span style="background-color: rgb(212, 239, 181);">has</span> <span class="highlight"> <b>different</b> <i>fonts</i> </span>. Please note that the search term is treated as a single string as if the words are in a quote, so I cannot search and highlight each word individually.

  • CSS Container DIV Not Expanding

    - by rsmith84
    I've been researching this for hours now and it seems to be an IE thing but my issue is that I have a container DIV that, in IE9, doesn't expand and cuts everything off after about 400px. Chrome and FF work perfectly, of course. Container DIV #main_container{ font-family: arial, verdana; width: 920px; top: 0; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; background-color: #fff; overflow-x: hidden; } Page Container DIV #page_container{ font-family: arial, verdana; font-size: 14px; width: 900px; color: #000; border: 0px solid; overflow: hidden; } And the standard markup of page block looks like this <div id="main_container"> <div id="page_container"> Variable page data goes here </div> </div> Is there an issue with my CSS that I'm missing or is there an IE hack that I need to apply?

  • Help adding a backgroundView to UITableViewCell

    - by Alex
    I'm getting really desperate trying to add a UIImageView to UITableViewCell.backgroundView. All my efforts have resulted in this crappy rendering: It looks like the cell's label's white background is sitting on top of cell's background and covering portions of it. I tried setting the label's background color to clear, or some other color and it does not have any event. It is always white. The reason I know it's the text label's background causing this white area is that if I don't do [cell setText:@"Cell text here"]; the white area is gone and I see just the cell's background image. Here's the code that I'm using. The table view is added in the .xib file and UITableView is added to UIViewController: - (NSInteger)numberOfSectionsInTableView:(UITableView *)tableView { return 1; } - (NSInteger)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView numberOfRowsInSection:(NSInteger)section { return [myCollection.items count]; } - (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { NSUInteger rowIndex = indexPath.row; static NSString *CellIdentifier = @"Cell"; UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier]; if (cell == nil) { cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier] autorelease]; cell.backgroundView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"darkCellBackground.png"]]; cell.selectedBackgroundView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"darkCellBackground.png"]]; } [cell setText:@"Cell text here"]; return cell; } - (void)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView didSelectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { // Navigation logic may go here. Create and push another view controller. // AnotherViewController *anotherViewController = [[AnotherViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"AnotherView" bundle:nil]; // [self.navigationController pushViewController:anotherViewController]; // [anotherViewController release]; [tableView deselectRowAtIndexPath:indexPath animated:YES]; } - (BOOL)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView canEditRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { return NO; } I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but cant quite figure out what.

  • Why my jquery function is not firing on Firefox

    - by Cristian Boariu
    I have some trouble with some jquery method (for some checkboxes I want them to fire on checked/unchecked so I can do something then). This method works perfectly on Chrome and IE but not on latest FF. jQuery(function () { jQuery(':checkbox').change(function () { var counter = jQuery('.count').text(); var thisCheck = jQuery(this); if (thisCheck.is(':checked')) { counter++; //apply green color to the selected row jQuery(this).closest('tr').addClass('checked'); } else { counter--; //remove green color to the selected row jQuery(this).closest('tr').removeClass('checked'); } jQuery('.count').html(counter); //enable export button when there are selected emails to be exported if (counter > 0) { jQuery(".exportButton").removeAttr("disabled", ""); } else { jQuery(".exportButton").attr("disabled", "disabled"); } }); }); Basically it's simply not firing...Even with Debug is not catching the first line (function declare nor other lines too). If I move this javascript(without function declare) inside jQuery(document).ready(function ($) { all works nice on Firefox too... Yes, I do use jQuery.noConflict(); before jQuery(document).ready(function ($) { Do you know why this happens?

  • Performing an action on Parent/Child elements independently.

    - by Matt Weldon
    I have HTML similar to the following in my page <div id="someDiv"> <img src="foo.gif" class="someImg" /> </div> The wrapper div is set up such that when it is clicked, it's background-color changes using the following jQuery code. $("div").click(function(event){ $(this).css("background-color", "blue"); }); I also have some jQuery associated with my img that will do some other function (for the sake of argument I am going to display and alert box) like so: $("img[class=someImg]").click(function(event){ alert("Image clicked"); }); The issue I have come across is that when I click on the img, the event associated with the div is also triggered. I'm pretty sure that this is due to the way that jQuery (or indeed JavaScript) is handling the two DOM elements - clicking the img would require you to also technically click the div, thus triggering both events. Two questions then really: Is my understanding of the DOM/JavaScript flawed in some way or is this actually how things are occurring? Are there any jQuery methods that would allow me to perform actions on a child element without invoking those associated with its parent?

  • How do I declare and initialize a 2d int vector in C++?

    - by FrankTheTank
    I'm trying to do something like: #include <iostream> #include <vector> #include <ctime> class Clickomania { public: Clickomania(); std::vector<std::vector<int> > board; bool move(int, int); bool isSolved(); void print(); void pushDown(); }; Clickomania::Clickomania() : board(12, std::vector<int>(8,0)) { srand((unsigned)time(0)); for(int i = 0; i < 12; i++) { for(int j = 0; j < 8; j++) { int color = (rand() % 6) + 1; board[i][j] = color; } } } However, apparently I can't initialize the "board" vector of vectors this way. How can I create a public member of a 2d vector type and initialize it properly?

  • WinForms Dynamic Label

    - by tolga
    I am creating dynamic labels and letting users change attributes of the labes like backcolor and so by sending unicode. However I don't know how to check if the label exists therefore I can't manipulate the dynamicly created label. below is my code: if ((InputBox.Text.StartsWith("p")) && (InputBox.Text.EndsWith("}")))// only process if the message starts with p and ends with } { string Message = InputBox.Text; InputBox.Text = "";// Clear the box when done. // Butt1 message line if (Message.StartsWith("plabelt1")) { if (Message.StartsWith("plabelt1_BackColor")) { Message = Message.Substring(19); //labelt1.BackColor = System.Drawing.Color.FromName(Message.Replace("}", "")); } } private void ImageBox_DragDrop(object sender, DragEventArgs e) { //Graphics g = ImageBox.CreateGraphics(); //g.DrawImage((Image)e.Data.GetData(DataFormats.Bitmap), //new Point(e.X - this.Left, e.Y - this.Top - 150)); Point p2 = PointToClient(Cursor.Position); Label buttlbl_ = new Label(); labelCount++; buttlbl_.Name = "labelt" + labelCount.ToString(); buttlbl_.Location = new Point(p2.X, p2.Y); buttlbl_.Size = new System.Drawing.Size(37, 37); buttlbl_.BackColor = System.Drawing.Color.DarkGray; this.Controls.Add(buttlbl_); buttlbl_.BringToFront(); ImageBox.Invalidate(); } } Any suggestions?

  • Moving a high quality line on a panel c#

    - by user1787601
    I want to draw a line on a panel and then move it as the mouse moves. To do so, I draw the line and when the mouse moves I redraw the line to the new location and remove the previous line by drawing a line with the background color on it. It works fine if I do not use the high quality smoothing mode. But if use high quality smoothing mode, it leave traces on the panel. Does anybody know how to fix this? Thank you. Here is the code int x_previous = 0; int y_previous = 0; private void panel1_MouseMove(object sender, MouseEventArgs e) { Pen pen1 = new System.Drawing.Pen(Color.Black, 3); Pen pen2 = new System.Drawing.Pen(panel1.BackColor, 3); Graphics g = panel1.CreateGraphics(); g.SmoothingMode = System.Drawing.Drawing2D.SmoothingMode.HighQuality; g.DrawLine(pen2, new Point(0, 0), new Point(x_previous, y_previous)); g.DrawLine(pen1, new Point(0, 0), new Point(e.Location.X, e.Location.Y)); x_previous = e.Location.X; y_previous = e.Location.Y; } Here is the snapshot with SmoothingMode Here is the snapshot without SmoothingMode

  • Fetch multiple rows from SQL in PHP foreach item in array

    - by TrySpace
    I try to request an array of IDs, to return each row with that ID, and push each into an Array $finalArray But only the first result from the Query will output, and at the second foreach, it skips the while loop. I have this working in another script, so I don't understand where it's going wrong. The $arrayItems is an array containing: "home, info" $finalArray = array(); foreach ($arrayItems as $UID_get) { $Query = "SELECT * FROM items WHERE (uid = '" . cleanQuery($UID_get) . "' ) ORDER BY uid"; if($Result = $mysqli->query($Query)) { print_r($UID_get); echo "<BR><-><BR>"; while ($Row = $Result->fetch_assoc()) { array_push($finalArray , $Row); print_r($finalArray ); echo "<BR><><BR>"; } } else { echo '{ "returned" : "FAIL" }'; //. mysqli_connect_errno() . ' ' . mysqli_connect_error() . "<BR>"; } } (the cleanQuery is to escape and stripslashes) What I'm trying to get is an array of multiple rows (after i json_encoded it, like: {"finalArray" : { "home": {"id":"1","created":"0000-00-00 00:00:00","css":"{ \"background-color\" : \"red\" }"} }, { "info": {"id":"2","created":"0000-00-00 00:00:00","css":"{ \"background-color\" : \"blue\" }"} } } But that's after I get both, or more results from the db. the print_r($UID_get); does print info, but then nothing.. So, why am I not getting the second row from info? I am essentially re-querying foreach $arrayItem right?

  • Processing data from an AJAX request

    - by Josh K
    I have a PHP API I'm working with that outputs everything as JSON. I need to call one of the API methods and parse it out using an AJAX request. I am using jQuery (though it shouldn't matter). When I make the request it errors out with a "parsererror" as the textStatus and a "Syntax Error: invalid label" when I make the request. Simplified code: $.ajax ({ type: "POST", url: "http://mydomain.com/api/get/userlist/"+mid, dataType: "json", dataFilter: function(data, type) { /* Here we assume and pray */ users = eval(data); alert(users[1].id); }, success: function(data, textStatus, XMLHttpRequest) { alert(data.length); // Should be an array, yet is undefined. }, error: function(XMLHttpRequest, textStatus, errorThrown) { alert(textStatus); alert(errorThrown); }, complete: function(XMLHttpRequest, textStatus) { alert("Done"); } }); If I leave off the eval(data) then everything works fine. Well, except for data still being undefined in success. Note that I'm taking an array of objects in PHP and then passing them out through json_encode. Would that make any difference? There has been no progress made on this. I'm willing to throw more code up if someone believes they can help. Here is the PHP side of things private function _get_user_colors($id) { $u = new User(); $u->get_where(array('id' => $id)); $bar = array(); $bar['user'] = $u->stored; foreach($user->colors as $color) { $bar['colors'][] = $color; } echo(json_encode($bar)); } I have had zero issues using this with other PHP based scripts. I don't know why Javascript would take issue with it.

  • How to get attributes from both relative and absolute positioning

    - by user3677286
    I have a footer that i want to attach to the bottom of the page using bottom:0px. However, I also want to center it by using margin-left:auto; and margin-right:auto;. Effectively, this will stick the footer to the bottom of the page while keeping it centered vertically. Unfortunately, these cannot be used together as bottom:0px requires position:relative while margin-left:auto and margin-right:auto require position:absolute. How can I get both of these attributes onto the same div without creating a container? If not possible, what is a clean way of getting both these attributes? ALSO: I do NOT want to have a fixed position. footer.css: .footer { /*background-color:blue;*/ min-height:10px; width:940px; margin-top:5px; margin-left:auto; /* WILL ONLY WORK IF POSITION IS RELATIVE */ margin-right:auto; padding:5px; display:block; border-top: 3px solid #CCCCCC; text-align: center; font-family:arial; color:gray; position: relative; bottom:0px; /* WILL ONLY WORK IF POSITION IS ABSOLUTE */ } Thanks.

  • GDI+ not clearing my window on repaint for vista

    - by Michael
    on WM_PAINT i do the following: //RectF mNameRect; //WCHAR* mName; //HWND mWin; // this is the window handle { PAINTSTRUCT ps; HDC hdc = BeginPaint(mWin, &ps); Graphics g(hdc); g.Clear(Color::White); StringFormat stringForm; stringForm.SetLineAlignment(StringAlignmentCenter); stringForm.SetAlignment(StringAlignmentCenter); // set the rectangle to the size of the whole window mNameRect.Width = static_cast<float>(size.cx); mNameRect.Height = static_cast<float>(size.cy); g.DrawString(mName, -1, &mNameFont, mNameRect, &stringForm, &mNameBrush); EndPaint(mWin, &ps); } In XP this works fine, the mName is displayed in the middle of the window. However on Vista the text doesn't move, it stays in its location no matter how I resize the window. the g.Clear(Color::White) doesn't seem to do any difference. The text doesn't even change position when the window is hidden behind another window and on focus needs to be repainted again. How do I make mName change position in Vista?
