• Are there any encrypted file systems available for Solaris 10?

  BACKGROUND: We are running Unidata 7.2-5 on Solaris 10 for our data warehouse. There is no database encryption option that works well with our applications. We were looking at ZFS, but it seems that ZFS will only be available under OpenSolaris. Any other suggestions for some type of EFS under Solaris 10?

  I just switched hosts and now have the task of reinstalling everything. I'm on CentOS now and I need to install mysql but have no idea which package to install. I can't seem to find any info on the differences either. Would anyone know? Yum is not an option as it wants to install 1.0.77 and this is too old. The machine is 64 bit.

  I'd like to mirror a site with wget and convert all the links to the local copies I've downloaded. So far that's easy all I have to do is wget -mk http://site.com However all of the static media is located in a different domain, if I follow all of the foreign hosts using the -H option it will download that static media files, but it will also download anything else externally linked. Is there a way to specify 'only download foreign hosts specified in list X'?

• How do I log out of Google Chrome on a shared computer?

  I share my computer with someone who does not have a google account, I do not want them to be able to click on chrome and potentially access my saved data (ie. passwords/CC info). Everytime I attempt to logoff chrome (not my email, chrome itself), I only get the option to delete or change user. I just want my info off, do I have to delete my account each time or is there a way to just log my infomation off chrome?

  My organisation has Exchange 2007 e-mail server, and now, we want to host e-mail service for other organisation (neworg.com) I added new Authoritative Active Domain neworg.com, but when adding a new mailbox, there is no option to chose new SMTP domain name neworg.com, and I can't add new user with SMTP domain [email protected].   I have a spreadsheet with several cells in one column. Each cell has identical conditional formatting: In 1 cell value equal to ='Y' In 2 cell value equal to ='N' In 3 cell value equal to ='?' What I would like to achieve is, if all 7 cells contain "Y" as the option then a separate cell will display "Yes", but if any of the cells contain "N" as the selection then the separate cell will display "NO". I have a script to detect when VLC is not running and reboot it, but there is often a system message on top "VLC crashed previously". Is there a way to disable this (I can find no option in VLC's advanced options), or perhaps to feed a 'Continue' response to it via Applescript?

  I know that the copy command has an option to automatically replace a file if it already exists, but I want to know if it is a way to copy the files only if they not already exist (/Y). I do not know the actual file names in the batch code, as I copy from the source using wildcards in the copy command: copy *.zip c:\destination The reason I want this instead of automatic overwrite is that the files are large, and to skip existing would save a lot of execution time.

I did try edit .README once when i tried to open the README file of an application, but it opened a blank README file in textwrangler instead of the file with the text in it so any idea how I can open this .git/config file (or any other file) using textwrangler?   On CentOS exists the yum versionlock option, where you can lock a package to a specific version, so it is never upgraded past that. I would like that puppet-server-2.7.19-1 puppet-2.7.19-1 stays on 2.7, and never upgraded to 3.0. Puppet Labs have released 3.0 and put it into the stable repo, so 2.7 will get upgraded to 3.0, which is not backwards compatible. Does Ubuntu have something similar to yum versionlock?
