    hi, im totally new to rails. here my question: i made an app with articles and comments and use devise for authentication sadly im only able to post 1 hyperlink so this is the middle part of my post with the files at gist: https://gist.github.com/771366 the article_id is pre selected in the comments/_form - but the user_id isnt. i googled a lot, tried value = session[:user_id] and others, but nothing worked would be great if someone could tell me how it works ^^ thx

There is a promo codes table that stores the promotional codes and the value of the discount to apply. So I was wondering if someone might be able to help me integrate this?     I am reading a .xls file and then procesing it inside and rewriting it in the end of my program. I was wondering if someone can help me to parse the dates as my input file name is like file_1_2010_03_03.csv and i want my outputfile to be newfile_2010_03_03.xls is there a way to incorporate in matlab program so i do not have to manually write the command xlswrite('newfile_2010_03_03.xls', M); everytime and change the dates as i input files with diff dates like file_2_2010_03_04.csv.     Just found the MIG Base 64 utility but its over 6 years old since its last release. It would appear to be quicker than the Apache commons equivalent but I have yet to confirm by writing up an actual test. Has anyone verified its correctness which is always a worry. If someone takes a look at the methods, please note i a referring to the non fast methods which make assumptions trading possible correctness for pure speed.

    I've only ever learned to "program" with notepad when I was learning to create batch files in Windows. I would appreciate if you can explain to me the benefits of working with an IDE over a text editor or vice versa. Please don't give emotional responses or argue someone else's suggestion/advice. I use Linux primarily. Also, I would like to be able to make programs that can be used in Windows, but programmed in Linux. Thanks.

  • Network error during uninstallation

    Hi, We are using WiX to create a setup. The installation works fine, but during uninstallation an error says that the [FileName].msi is missing in C:\Windows\Installer and the setup starts rolling back. It is not reproduced in all the machines. It happens only in few machines. Could someone please give a solution to this ? What may be the reason that this happens only in 5 machines out of some 100 machines ? Thanks and Regards, Varun

The think() method is called every 100ms, and i have a few breakpoints set however the first one that gets stopped at isn't the first that should.. It seems to miss stopping on the others. Has anyone seen anything like this before? See screenshot below, the one it is stopped at is the first one it stopped at.

    Using C# and WPF under .net (rather than WindowsForms or console), what is the correct way to create an application that can only be run as a single instance? I know it has something to do with some mythical thing called a mutex, rarely can I find someone that bothers to stop and explain what one of these are. The code needs to also inform the already running instance that the user tried to start a second one, and maybe also pass any command line arguments if any existed.
