  • jquery expanding menu+show/hide+multiple instances

    Hi, I have 2 scripts working ok separately but can't get them working together - What I'm after is expanding menus where if the items exceed 10 a 'more' link appears that expands the list, which can also then be hidden. http://www.brianfitzer.ie/test2/ expanding menu is file test12.html toggle+limit: toggle is file test13.html (I have these working separately) And then I need this to be able to be applied in multiple instances as I'll have multiple categories. Any code help greatly appreciated! (i'm a jquery newbie so if you have full code that would be xtra handy)

  • Losing jQuery functionality after postback

    I have seen a TON of people reporting this issue online, but no actual solutions. I'm not using AJAX or updatepanels, just a dropdown that posts back on selected index change. No errors, nothing. I don't see any actual changes in the objects in the HTML that should cause this. How do I fix this? Any workarounds or bandaides I can apply?     Hi all, I'm trying to write a bit of jquery which finds all h2 tags inside a div (.content), then appends each one into another div (.intro). So far I have this: var h2 = $(".content").find("h2"); $(h2).each(function() { $(this).append(".intro"); }); But it's not working.. if someone could help me out, that'd be great :)

    Ok so I have a website and I would like to stop users from being able to change things on it using GreaseMonkey extensions, etc. Therefore I am trying to use jQuery or any kind of Javascript to get the source of the page after like 5 seconds. I know how to make it wait 5 seconds using Javascript and all, but how do I get the entire source of the page and send it to my server using POST? How can this be done?

    When I use jQuery for a simple click event it only works for links. Is there a way to make it work for spans etc: $("span.clicked").live("click", function(e){alert("span clicked!")}); $("a.clicked").live("click", function(e){alert("link clicked!")}); Example is here: http://ip1n.j-www.com/test/index2.html The SPAN works in Safari but not Mobile Safari (on iPhone or iPad) whereas the A tag works in both.

Has to be pure jquery or javascript though - no flash based stuff. I've found loads of great components but can't find one that is controlled by XML. It's displaying <label> tags with the error messages as default behaviour, however the way my CSS is set up I need a div to wrap around the offending element and a message display in <p> tags.
