  • Slide div inside another div effect

    - by mariki
    I am trying to create sliding images effect: Online demolink text. The problem is when you click rapidly and randomly on the buttons and not wait for animation to finish causing unpredicted results and even stopping the functionality to work. (and once it stopped in the middle of 2 images...) How Can I make it work without bugs? I know that there are some other tools for that sliding like jquery and other approaches like changing the position attribute and not the scrollLeft attribute. But I want to do it as it is, with scrollLeft, if it possible of course. The Code: <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <title>Untitled Document</title> <style type="text/css"> body { padding:0px; margin:0px; } #imageContainer { width: 500px; position: relative; } #div { overflow: hidden; white-space: nowrap; } #div img { cursor: pointer; vertical-align: bottom; width: 500px; padding:0px; margin:0px; display:inline; } </style> <script type="text/javascript"> var scrollIntervalID; var currentIndex=0; function Scroll(ind){ var dir = ind ==currentIndex?0:ind<currentIndex?-1:1; var steps = Math.abs(ind-currentIndex); scrollIntervalID = setInterval(function(){ var i=(steps*10)-1; return function(){ if (i <= 0) clearInterval(scrollIntervalID); var elm = document.getElementById("div"); elm.scrollLeft +=dir * 50; i--; document.getElementById("span").innerHTML=elm.scrollLeft; } }(), 15); currentIndex=ind; } </script> </head> <body> <div id="imageContainer"> <div id="div"> <img id="image1" src="Images/pic1.jpg" width="500px"/><img id="image2" src="Images/pic2.jpg" width="500px"/><img id="image3" src="Images/pic3.jpg" width="500px"/><img id="image4" src="Images/pic4.jpg" width="500px"/> </div> </div> <div> <input type="button" value="1" onclick="Scroll(0);"/> <input type="button" value="2" onclick="Scroll(1);"/> <input type="button" value="3" onclick="Scroll(2);"/> <input type="button" value="4" onclick="Scroll(3);"/> </div> <span id="span"></span> </body> </html>

  • Disable MathML output of eLyXer

    - by Gryllida
eLyXer is a standalone LyX to HTML converter. In the resulting file, equations are formatted as MathML, and the file itself starts with an XML tag. This causes two problems: LibreOffice does not read the XML file (it can read HTML files, but not XHTML). I am unable to copy and paste the equations into a document editor such as LibreOffice with the goal of subsequent conversion into .doc, because .doc files do not support MathML. The eLyXer help page mentions an option to only use simple math, but there is no option to set math equations to output as images. And I already set Document Settings Output Math equations Format: images in LyX, which presumably is saved in the lyx document somewhere. A web search did not come up with any solutions.

  • MIME "Content-Type" folding and parameter question regarding RFCs?

    - by BastiBense
Hello, I'm trying to implement a basic MIME parser for the multipart/related in C++/Qt. So far I've been writing some basic parser code for headers, and I'm reading the RFCs to get an idea how to do everything as close to the specification as possible. Unfortunately there is a part in the RFC that confuses me a bit: From RFC882 Section 3.1.1: Each header field can be viewed as a single, logical line of ASCII characters, comprising a field-name and a field-body. For convenience, the field-body portion of this conceptual entity can be split into a multiple-line representation; this is called "folding". The general rule is that wherever there may be linear-white-space (NOT simply LWSP-chars), a CRLF immediately followed by AT LEAST one LWSP-char may instead be inserted. Thus, the single line Alright, so I simply parse a header field and if a CRLF follows with linear whitespace, I simply concat those in a useful manner to result in a single header line. Let's proceed... From RFC2045 Section 5.1: In the Augmented BNF notation of RFC 822, a Content-Type header field value is defined as follows: content := "Content-Type" ":" type "/" subtype *(";" parameter) ; Matching of media type and subtype ; is ALWAYS case-insensitive. [...] parameter := attribute "=" value attribute := token ; Matching of attributes ; is ALWAYS case-insensitive. value := token / quoted-string token := 1*<any (US-ASCII) CHAR except SPACE, CTLs, or tspecials> Okay. So it seems if you want to specify a Content-Type header with parameters, simple do it like this: Content-Type: multipart/related; foo=bar; something=else ... and a folded version of the same header would look like this: Content-Type: multipart/related; foo=bar; something=else Correct? Good. As I kept reading the RFCs, I came across the following in RFC2387 Section 5.1 (Examples): Content-Type: Multipart/Related; boundary=example-1 start="<[email protected]>"; type="Application/X-FixedRecord" start-info="-o ps" --example-1 Content-Type: Application/X-FixedRecord Content-ID: <[email protected]> [data] --example-1 Content-Type: Application/octet-stream Content-Description: The fixed length records Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 Content-ID: <[email protected]> [data] --example-1-- Hmm, this is odd. Do you see the Content-Type header? It has a number of parameters, but not all have a ";" as parameter delimiter. Maybe I just didn't read the RFCs correctly, but if my parser works strictly like the specification defines, the type and start-info parameters would result in a single string or worse, a parser error. Guys, what's your thought on this? Just a typo in the RFCs? Or did I miss something? Thanks!

  • What's the best platform to publish documentation to internal users?

    - by serialhobbyist
My team has a need to publish documentation internally. At the moment, it's spread all over the place and this means we often have to search everywhere to find something. We'd like to publish everything in one place. The main thing that stops us is access control - the wikis in place don't belong to us and we can't do it. What is the best tool for publishing docs, ideally fitting these requirements: web front end - readers access docs using browser single place to put docs access control by individual doc or by sets of docs (folders, branch of 'site', ...) if you don't have access to a doc, you don't see the link to that page/doc/folder. either built-in editor or something my users are familiar with (e.g. Word) built-in version control would be nice Also, can you think of other criteria I should've specified?

  • Disable Recent Items in Jump Lists for Certain Programs

    - by jdecock
Is there any way to turn off the recent items in the jumplists of specific programs in Windows 7? This feature is useful on some programs (like my text editor) but there are other programs that I don't need everyone to see what I've opened recently (like my video player). I've searched around for a solution to this and I've found two "solutions": Turn off recent items in all jumplists (open the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties and uncheck the "Store and display recently opened items in the Start menu and the taskbar"). Manually clear the recent items history. Neither of these options seem very useful to me. #1 seems like the better solution if you really don't want someone to see your recent documents but then you lose that functionality for all programs instead of just the ones you want while #2 seems like it's something that's way to easy to forget about.

  • Is it possible to open Adobe Illustrator files from last close?

    - by ksy
Say you have three files open in Adobe Illustrator, but you exit out of the program. Is there a way that you can have those three files opened back up when you open up Illustrator again? Similar to how most text editor programs are set up -- so when you open up the program again all your last stayed-open files are there. Also, does anyone know what the terminology for this saving-behavior is? State-saving? Googling to find the answer is difficult within the sea of Illustrator 'saving files' questions.

  • Why do I get error "prefix [..] is not defined" when I try to use my jsf custom tag?

    - by Roman
    I created a jsf custom tag (I'm not sure that it's correct, I could miss something easily, so I attached code below). Now I'm trying to use this tag but I get an error: error on line 28 at column 49: Namespace prefix gc on ganttchart is not defined So, here is the xhtml-page: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:ui="http://java.sun.com/jsf/facelets" xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core" xmlns:gc="http://myganttchart.org"> <body> <ui:composition template="/masterpage.xhtml"> <ui:define name="title">Gantt chart test</ui:define> <ui:define name="content"> <f:view> <gc:ganttchart width="300" height="100" rendered="true"/> ... </f:view> </ui:define> </ui:composition> </body> </html> And here is tld-file (it's placed in WEB-INF/): <taglib xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-jsptaglibrary_2_1.xsd" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" version="2.1"> <tlib-version> 1.0 </tlib-version> <short-name> oext </short-name> <uri> http://myganttchart.org </uri> <tag> <name>ganttchart</name> <tag-class>usermanagement.support.ganttchart.GanttChartTag</tag-class> <body-content>empty</body-content> <attribute> <name>binding</name> <deferred-value> <type>javax.faces.component.UIComponent</type> </deferred-value> </attribute> ... </tag> </tablib> Here is a part of tag-class code: public class GanttChartTag extends UIComponentELTag { private ValueExpression width; private ValueExpression height; private ValueExpression styleClass; public String getComponentType () { return "org.myganttchart"; } public String getRendererType () { return null; } ... } Correspondent block from faces-config: <component> <component-type>org.myganttchart</component-type> <component-class>usermanagement.support.ganttchart.UIGanttChart</component-class> </component> And the last part if UIGanttChart: public class UIGanttChart extends UIOutput { public UIGanttChart() { setRendererType (null); } //some test code public void encodeBegin(FacesContext context) throws IOException { ResponseWriter writer = context.getResponseWriter (); writer.startElement("img", this); writer.writeAttribute("src", "no-img", "source"); writer.writeAttribute("width", getAttributes ().get ("width"), "width"); writer.writeAttribute("height", getAttributes ().get ("height"), "height"); writer.writeAttribute("class", ".someclass", "styleClass"); writer.endElement("img"); } } So, what did I miss?

  • Launch Sublime Text 2 from command line

    - by Erick
I am trying to launch Sublime Text 2 via command line. I know it has already been done before here but I am having different constraints. I use the portable version of ST and store it into my Dropbox account. I guess you can see me coming here. I need to launch subtext on a relative path. So far it "kinda works" if I type in the command line subl file.txt it works I see the file content but if I type subl "file 2.txt" I do not have nothing it opens ST with something like c:\mydir\"file 2.txt". I guess the problem lies on the "%WORKINGDIR%\%1" of the script bellow. @ECHO OFF SET WORKINGDIR=%CD% cd /d %0\.. SET EXECDIR=%CD% cd %WORKINGDIR% START "Sublime text editor" "%EXECDIR%\sublimetext\sublime_text.exe" "%WORKINGDIR%\%1"

  • Tail the filename, not the file

    - by Craig Walker
In UNIX (OS X BSD to be precise), I have a "tail -f" command on a log file. From time to time I want to delete this log file so I can more easily review it in my text editor. I delete the file, and then my program recreates it after new activity. However, my tail command (and anything else that was watching the old log file) doesn't update; it's still watching the old, deleted log file. I think I understand why this is (file names simply being pointers to blocks of file data). I'd like to know how I can work around this. Ideally, my tail command (and anything else I point to the file) would be able to read the data from the new file when the file name has been deleted and recreated. How would I do this?

  • Sharing folders with VirtualBox, Win7 Host and Ubuntu 9.10 Guest

    - by unknown (google)
I have a development setup from this tutorial: http://www.sitepoint.com/blogs/2009/10/27/build-your-own-dev-server-with-virtualbox/ But what I can't figure out is how to share a folder on my Ubuntu virtualized machine with the host Win7. I want to use a Windows text editor to edit code that's on my Ubuntu server. I've tried using the Shared Folders setting, adding "/var/www" but it says that the path is not absolute. When I click on "other", it only allows me to browse folders on my Win7 host. Both the host and guest are 64-bit OS. Thanks in advance!

  • Recovering a Windows XP License key

    - by Fortyrunner
I threw out a Windows XP machine a while ago (the motherboard failed). I kept the hard drive and the XP installation media. Problem is the license key was on a sticker on the machine - doh! The original manufacturer has gone bust (Evesham) and I suspect that Microsoft will be of little help. Is there any easy way to get the license key off the hard disk? Can I just find the file with the registry data in it and get the key using a hex editor? I really need a spare XP key for use in a Windows VM.

  • Notepad++ setting to clear the undo buffer on save

    - by J Jones
Hello, I've noticed that Notepad++ is clearing the undo buffer when I save a file. This just started happening when I updated the editor to version 5.6.8. (previous version was pretty old... 5.3.? perhaps...) I've seen one reference out there (look at last bullet of answer) that this might be a setting I can change. But for the life of me, I can't find it. Anyone familiar with this?

  • How to force a "do you really want to shutdown?" dialog in Windows 7?

    - by Vokuhila-Oliba
Sometimes I want to choose "Logout current user", but then I hit "Shutdown" by accident. Nearly everywhere else Windows 7 is asking "do you really want to do this? Yes/No" - but that's not the case when I hit the "Shutdown" button. Windows 7 shuts down immediately without giving me the chance to correct my mistake. So I am wondering - why does Windows shut down immediately without asking "really do that?" in this case? Is there a way to change this behavior? For example, could I force Windows to display a dialog asking "Do you really want to shutdown?"? I tried to change this behavior with the policy editor. It seems to be very easy to completely remove the Shutdown button from the Start menu, but I couldn't find an entry to turn on such a Yes/No dialog.

I have a large folder that I am replicating by dfs and I want to check that all files have been replicated correctly. Currently I am running the following script at both ends. cd e:\data\shared\ dir /a:-h /b /s > e:\data\shared\result.txt and then using a text editor to tidy the file before using a diff tool to compare them. Does anyone know a better way of doing this? Failing that does anyone know how to adapt my script to ignore all the files in the DfsrPrivate folders

  • Viewing the full Skype chat history

    - by hekevintran
I have Skype 2.8 on Mac OS X 10.5.8. Under the the chat menu is an option called "Recent Chats". This allows me to see logs of recent chats, but not of older ones. I know the older ones are stored because they are in ~/Library/Application Support/Skype/username/chatmsg256.dbb. This file when put in a text editor has text chat information from all my previous Skype chats. It is however stored in an unknown file format that I do not know how to parse. Does Skype have a built-in log viewer (like Adium's) that I can use to access these older logs?

  • Open and scroll through 42 GB text file in Mac OS X

    - by Django Johnson
I am running Mac OS X 10.8.4 (Mountain Lion) and I am trying to open and scroll through a 42 GB .XML file. I plan on using an XML parser to parse through it and delete parts, but first I need to know how the document is structured so I can know what parts to save. How can I open this text / XML file and scroll through it so I can get a glimpse of its structure? I tried my default text-editor, text-mate, and that couldn't open it. I tried gEdit and that shows the first 10 or so lines, but then quits after trying to load the rest. I would greatly appreciate any and all suggestions!

  • what does the @ symbol mean in ls -l directory listing?

    - by Andrew Arrow
When I run ls -l on my mac I see two .yml files: -rw-r--r-- 1 aa staff 6 Apr 15 05:50 s1.yml -rw-r--r--@ 1 aa staff 362 Apr 15 05:49 s3.yml same owner, same permissions but one has a @ at the end of the permisions. The one with the @ shows up in my editor, the one without does not. So there must be some significance. How can I turn on the @ for the file without it? I selected the files in the finder and did get info and everything looks identical between the two files.

  • numpy calling sse2 via ctypes

    - by Daniel
Hello, In brief, I am trying to call into a shared library from python, more specifically, from numpy. The shared library is implemented in C using sse2 instructions. Enabling optimisation, i.e. building the library with -O2 or –O1, I am facing strange segfaults when calling into the shared library via ctypes. Disabling optimisation (-O0), everything works out as expected, as is the case when linking the library to a c-program directly (optimised or not). Attached you find a snipped which exhibits the delineated behaviour on my system. With optimisation enabled, gdb reports a segfault in __builtin_ia32_loadupd (__P) at emmintrin.h:113. The value of __P is reported as optimised out. test.c: #include <emmintrin.h> #include <complex.h> void test(const int m, const double* x, double complex* y) { int i; __m128d _f, _x, _b; double complex f __attribute__( (aligned(16)) ); double complex b __attribute__( (aligned(16)) ); __m128d* _p; b = 1; _b = _mm_loadu_pd( (double *) &b ); _p = (__m128d*) y; for(i=0; i<m; ++i) { f = cexp(-I*x[i]); _f = _mm_loadu_pd( (double *) &f ); _x = _mm_loadu_pd( (double *) &x[i] ); _f = _mm_shuffle_pd(_f, _f, 1); *_p = _mm_add_pd(*_p, _f); *_p = _mm_add_pd(*_p, _x); *_p = _mm_mul_pd(*_p,_b); _p++; } return; } Compiler flags: gcc -o libtest.so -shared -std=c99 -msse2 -fPIC -O2 -g -lm test.c test.py: import numpy as np import os def zerovec_aligned(nr, dtype=np.float64, boundary=16): '''Create an aligned array of zeros. Note also that i use _mm_loadu_pd instead of _mm_load_pd when loading b and f. For the C-only version _mm_load_pd works (as expected). However, when calling the function via ctypes using _mm_load_pd always segfaults (independent of optimisation). I have tried several days to sort out this issue without success ... and I am on the verge beating my monitor to death. Any input welcome. Daniel

  • Mozilla Thunderbird new emails indication colour

    - by KTC
I've recently upgraded Mozilla Thunderbird to v3 on Winodws XP. In v2 I think when new (Pop 3) emails were downloaded, there were a little star icon next to my local folders where it's filtered to as to indicate new emails. In v3, it seems they've changed it to use different colour to highlight the folder instead. Whereas folders with existing unread emails are highlighted in bold black, folders with new unread emails are highlighted in this light grey greenish colour that's really hard to see. Can anyone please tell me how to modify the colour? I'm guessing it's either some lines in a userChrome.css file, or modifying a field in the config editor. Thanks. :)

  • Looking for Mini itx capable of running Photoshop + Illustrator (cs4 or higher)

    - by drozzy
Ok, so I want to build a small pc for my gf that she can take with her instead of the crappy laptop that she has. Overall I think the complete system should not weight more than 10 lbs. The requirements are to run at least 4 applications simultaneously, and be able to switch between them with no problems: Photoshop Illustrator Word editor Browser Should be able to handle 1920x1200 resolution. I am currently looking at LGA775 socket as I can just transfer my desktop cpu Q6600 to it. Currently deciding between DQ45EK and DG41TX, but any other suggestions are welcome. So I am thinking something along the lines of: MINI-BOX M350 Case with 90 watt psu Q6600 cpu (my desktop cpu) 2x2GB kingston ram (or similar) Video? Need external or built-in G45 on DQ45EK will do? My primary concern is whether the 90WATT is sufficient of the Q6600? Thanks

  • Changing shared printer settings to default to greyscale

    - by Chris
My company has about 60 employees all running Windows Vista or 7 and a gigantic Minolta printer hooked up to an EFI Fiery Image Processor. We're burning about $300 a month in printer supplies alone. I'm trying to find a way to cause the printer to default to grayscale in order to save money.
