• Unextending Sharepoint 2007 Web Application from a zone

  When our Sharepoint was migrated from Sharepoint 2003 to Sharepoint 2007 (both fully paid versions), the consultants who carried it out extended each web app into two IIS sites/zones (e.g. the original Web App was http://intranet, then http://newintranet and http://intranet would be created for Sharepoint 2007 - each with its own IIS site). The idea was that during the migration period we would set up DNS to point the old url to SP2003 servers and the new one to SP2007, then once the migration was complete, do a DNS change so the SP2007 would recieve the requests to the http://intranet type URLs. Unfortunately the contractors did not tidy up the application extensions and IIS sites after the migration, and for some time both URLs were in use, resulting in many document links pointing to the http://newintranet type URLs. This means I need to maintain these URLs. Due to a rejig of organisation structure we now need to relocate some Sharepoint sites, and I'd like to use the RDA Collaboration Sharepoint URL Redirector feature. However a limitation of this is that it doesn't work for Web Applications which have been extended into multiple zones. So I have a need to tidy up the situation that our consultants left behind. I think the right thing to do is use the "Remove Sharepoint from IIS Web Site" page in Central Admin to remove the zone for the newintranet type sites, and select the option to also delete the IIS site. That should result in having no IIS sites listening for http://newintranet type URLs. Is this the right procedure? Once I have done that I need to set up Sharepoint to receive requests sent to the http://newintranet type URLs so they will continue to work. I am not sure if I should do this: using Alternative Access Mappings or, by adding a host header to the IIS site or, creating a non Sharepoint IIS site for each http://newintranet type URL, and use IIS redirection to forward the requests to the new URL using variables to pass the path to the Sharepoint site. Does anyone have any thoughts on these options, or any other way of achieving this? Sharepoint 2007 is running on Windows 2003 with IIS6. We don't currently have plans/budget to upgrade to Sharepoint 2010.

  I have apps on Tomcat that use URLs like this: http://xxx:8080/myapp I don't want the users to see the port in the URL. Hi can do a rewrite rule like this: RewriteRule ^/myapp(.*) http://xxx:8080/myapp$1 [P,L] This way, if a user goes to the URL http://xxx/myapp he can enter the app fine, but the port will still show up on the browser. I want the URL that the user sees to be always http://xxx/myapp How can I do this using mod_rewrite?

Now the problem is that my corporate network requires me to use HTTP proxy for external internet connections. To ilustrate, this doesn't work: curl -v http://api.externalserver.com/login But this works: curl -v -x 11.22.11.22:8585 http://api.externalserver.com/login How can I make Apache use the corporate proxy for external internet requests?

• How to configure apache's mod_proxy_html to work as an ajax proxy?

  I'm trying to build a web site that let's you view and manipulate data from any page in any other website. To do that, I have to bypass 'Allow Origin' problems: i'm loading the other domain's content in an iframe and i have to manipulate its content with javascript downloaded from my domain. My first attempt was to write a simple proxy myself, requesting the other domains page through a server proxy coded in Java that not only serves the content but rebuilds links (src's and href's) in the content so that the content referenced by these links alse get downloaded through my handmade proxy. The result is not bad but has problems with url's in css and scripts. It's then that i realized that mod_proxy_html is supposed to do exactly all this job. The problem is that i cannot figure out how to make it work as expected. Let's suppose my server runs in my-domain.com and to proxy and transform content from another domain i'd make a request like this: my-domain.com/proxy?url=http://another-domain.com/some/content I'd want mod_proxy_html to serve the content and rewrite following URLs in http://another-domain.com/some/content in the following ways: Absolute URLs not from another-domain.com: no rewritting Relative from root urls:/other/content - /proxy?url=http://another-domain.com/other/content Relative urls: other/content - /proxy?url=http://another-domain.com/some/content/other/content Relative to parent urls: ../other/content - /proxy?url=http://another-domain.com/some/other/content The url should be specified at runtime, not configuration time. Can this be achieved with mod_proxy_html? Could anyone provide a simple working configuration to start with? EDIT 1-First approach The following site config will work fine with sites that use absolute url's everywhere like http://www.huffingtonpost.es/. • How to get the height of an image and apply that height to a div? [migrated]

  I am building a mobile web app and I'm using jquerytools slider on it. i want te slider to show (in proper ratio) across all mobile devices so width of the images is 100% and height is auto in css. However as all the elements are floated and jquerytools slider requires the position be set to absolute, the containing div (#header) doesn't stretch to fit the content. I am trying to use jquery to get the height of the height of the img and apply that height to the header.... however I am having no luck.   In my web-application, I have various audio clips uploaded by the users in the database stored in the BLOB column. The audio files are low bit rate WAV files. The clips are secured, one can see only those clips he has uploaded. Instead of user downloading the clip and playing it in his player, I need it be steamed online in the web page itself. • How can I sort a DataGridTemplateColumn on a WPF Toolkit DataGrid?

  I have a WPF Toolkit DataGrid with one DataGridTemplateColumn. I've specified in a grid attribute that I wish all columns to be sortable, but the DataGridTemplateColumn won't allow it. All other columns do allow sorting. I've even tried explicitly setting CanUserSort to true for that column, but no luck. Is it even possible to sort a template column?   I want to modify the stock JQuery UI slider so that the handle has a arrow on it rather than being a square. i.e. I want to use a custom image as the handle.   I have been having problems with this for some time now, and have come up with some less-than-desirable solutions. The problem is that when a TreeViewItem's context menu is opened, the TreeViewItem is greyed out. Is it possible for a TreeViewItem to stay highlighted while its ContextMenu is open? The problem with the TreeViewItem greying out, is that it gives no relation to the context menu and the TreeViewItem, and it looks ugly. Generally, the code I use for setting a context menu is this. Sometimes the context menu will be generated by the code with a PreviewRightMouseButtonDown EventSetter, but it doesn't make a difference. <TreeView> <TreeView.Resources> <Style TargetType="{x:Type TreeViewItem}"> <Setter Property="ContextMenu"> <Setter.Value> <ContextMenu> <MenuItem Header="Menu Item 1" /> <MenuItem Header="Menu Item 2" /> </ContextMenu> </Setter.Value> </Setter> </Style> </TreeView.Resources> <TreeViewItem Header="Item 1"> <TreeViewItem Header="Sub-Item 1"/> </TreeViewItem> <TreeViewItem Header="Item 2"></TreeViewItem> </TreeView> So far the only solution I have found is to override the "grey" unfocused color with the focused color, but then the TreeView never seems unfocused, such as when another control is clicked on. I have had problems with ListViews as well.

I'd guess I'll have to bind the GridViewColumn-collection to something in the ViewModel, but what, and how? The ViewModel does know nothing of WPF, so I got no clue how to achieve this in MVVM. any help here?

I'm trying to "re-skin" an existing site that has been nicely built using div's and ul's, etc, and it has a good existing CSS file, but when I start making changes to the CSS I quickly find that I break the layout. My feeling is that it is very hard to get a feel for how all the CSS will work together and indeed what CSS is affecting parent and sibling elements in the HTML. So, my question is "what are the best-practices around re-skinning an existing web-site by replacing the CSS only and not modifying the existing HTML?" I can't change the classes, ids, node hierarchy, etc. An example of the particular site that I am trying to re-skin is http://demo.nopcommerce.com/. • How do I get spring to inject my EntityManager?

  I'm following the guide here, but when the DAO executes, the EntityManager is null. I've tried a number of fixes I found in the comments on the guide, on various forums, and here (including this), to no avail. No matter what I seem to do the EntityManager remains null.
