  • pass object from JS to PHP and back

    - by Radu
This is something that I don't think can't be done, or can't be done easy. Think of this, You have an button inside a div in HTML, when you click it, you call a php function via AJAX, I would like to send the element that start the click event(or any element as a parameter) to PHP and BACK to JS again, in a way like serialize() in PHP, to be able to restore the element in JS. Let me give you a simple example: PHP: function ajaxCall(element){ return element; } JS: callbackFunction(el){ el.color='red'; } HTML: <div id="id_div"> <input type="button" value="click Me" onClick="ajaxCall(this, callbackFunction);" /> </div> So I thing at 3 methods method 1. I can give each element in the page an ID. so the call to Ajax would look like this: ajaxCall(this.id, callbackFunction); and the callback function would be: document.getElementById(el).color='red'; This method I think is hard, beacause in a big page is hard to keep track of all ID's. method 2. I think that using xPath could be done, If i can get the exact path of an element, and in the callback function evaluate that path to reach the element. This method needs some googling, it is just an ideea. method 3. Modify my AJAX functions, so it retain the element that started the event, and pass it to the callback function as argument when something returns from PHP, so in my AJAX would look like this: eval(callbackFunction(argumentsFromPhp, element)); and the callback function would be: callbackFunction(someArgsFromPhp, el){ el.color='red'; // parse someArgsFromPhp } I think that the third option is my choise to start this experiment. Any of you has a better idea how I can accomplish this ? Thank you.

  • MalformedURLException with file URI

    - by Paul Reiners
While executing the following code: doc = builder.parse(file); where doc is an instance of org.w3c.dom.Document and builder is an instance of javax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilder, I'm getting the following exception: Exception in thread "main" java.net.MalformedURLException: unknown protocol: c at java.net.URL.<init>(Unknown Source) at java.net.URL.<init>(Unknown Source) at java.net.URL.<init>(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.XMLEntityManager.setupCurrentEntity(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.XMLEntityManager.startEntity(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.XMLEntityManager.startDTDEntity(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.XMLDTDScannerImpl.setInputSource(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.XMLDocumentScannerImpl$DTDDriver.dispatch(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.XMLDocumentScannerImpl$DTDDriver.next(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.XMLDocumentScannerImpl$PrologDriver.next(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.XMLDocumentScannerImpl.next(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.XMLDocumentFragmentScannerImpl.scanDocument(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.parsers.XML11Configuration.parse(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.parsers.XML11Configuration.parse(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.parsers.XMLParser.parse(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.parsers.DOMParser.parse(Unknown Source) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.jaxp.DocumentBuilderImpl.parse(Unknown Source) at javax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilder.parse(Unknown Source) at com.acme.ItemToThetaValues.createFiles(ItemToThetaValues.java:47) It's choking on this line of the file: <!DOCTYPE questestinterop SYSTEM "C:\Program Files\Acme\parsers\acme_full.dtd"> I am not getting this error on my machine, while a user is getting it on his machine. • XAML, binding Width and Height properties to the same properties of other control

    - by JAG
    I'm trying to create a reflection effect and it's working great except that I have to hard-code some values. This is my XAML: <Grid> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="60"/> <RowDefinition /> <RowDefinition Height="80"/> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <StackPanel Grid.Row="1" VerticalAlignment="Center"> <UserControl x:Name="CurrentPresenter" /> <Border Width="500" Height="200" > <Border.Background> <VisualBrush Visual="{Binding ElementName=CurrentPresenter}" > <VisualBrush.Transform> <TransformGroup> <ScaleTransform ScaleX="1" ScaleY="-1" CenterX="500" CenterY="99" /> </TransformGroup> </VisualBrush.Transform> </VisualBrush> </Border.Background> <Border.OpacityMask> <LinearGradientBrush StartPoint="0,0" EndPoint="0,0.6"> <GradientStop Offset="-0.6" Color="Black"></GradientStop> <GradientStop Offset="0.6" Color="Transparent"></GradientStop> </LinearGradientBrush> </Border.OpacityMask> </Border> </StackPanel> </Grid> I've tried to replace Border's Width="500" and Height="200" by Width="{Binding ElementName=CurrentPresenter, Path=Width}" and Height="{Binding ElementName=CurrentPresenter, Path=Height}" but it doesn't seem to work. Wha's wrong with this code? UPDATE: If I set Width and Height here: <UserControl x:Name="CurrentPresenter" Height="200" Width="500" /> It works as expected. However it doesn't work if I set those values in the UserControl XAML. Any ideas?

  • ListBox and Listview problem

    - by Anu
    Hi, I have listbox in my applcation and corresponding coding.. XAML: <DataTemplate x:Key="menuItemTemplate"> <WrapPanel> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Path = Menu}" /> </WrapPanel> </DataTemplate> <ListBox x:Name="menubox" ItemsSource="{Binding}" ItemTemplate="{StaticResource menuItemTemplate}" Margin="0,5,0,0"> .CS : public void Add(string[] menu) { ItemList items = ItemList.Load(menu); DataContext = items; } It works fine.Later i add Listview for another purpose and i coded like the same way of listbox XAML: <DataTemplate x:Key="ListItemTemplate"> <WrapPanel> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Path = Title}" /> </WrapPanel> </DataTemplate> <ListView ItemsSource="{Binding}" ItemTemplate="{StaticResource ListItemTemplate}" Name="listView1" /> .cs coding: public void SetTree(string Title,int BoxNo ) { TreeList items1 = TreeList.Load(Title,BoxNo); DataContext = items1; } After adding Listview,what happended this ListView show data,but Listbox didnot show anything.When i click the listbox it perfectly executing the clicking event of listbox.Only problem it doesnot display the text.What can i do for that. Here i added corresponding list class pls see tht. namespace Tabcontrol { public class TreeList : Collection<TreeItems> { public int size; public TreeList() { size = 0; } public int Count { get { return size; } } public static TreeList Load(string pmenu,int Box) { TreeList result = new TreeList(); TreeItems item = TreeItems.Load(pmenu,Box); result.Add(item); return result; } } } The ItemList class also the same thing, only variable names are getting differred.

  • Plist won't copy to documents directory

    - by John
I have a plist file in my resources group in xcode. I am trying to copy this into my documents directory on app launch. I am using the following code (taken from a sqlite tutorial): BOOL success; NSError *error; NSFileManager *fileManager = [NSFileManager defaultManager]; NSArray *paths = NSSearchPathForDirectoriesInDomains(NSDocumentDirectory, NSUserDomainMask, YES); NSString *documentsDirectory = [paths objectAtIndex:0]; NSString *filePath = [documentsDirectory stringByAppendingString:@"ActiveFeedsPlist.plist"]; success = [fileManager fileExistsAtPath:filePath]; if (success) return; NSString *path = [[[NSBundle mainBundle] resourcePath] stringByAppendingFormat:@"ActiveFeedsPlist.plist"]; success = [fileManager copyItemAtPath:path toPath:filePath error:&error]; if (!success) { NSAssert1(0, @"Failed to copy Plist. Error %@", [error localizedDescription]); } I am given the error " * Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: 'Failed to copy Plist. Error Operation could not be completed. No such file or directory'" in the console however. Any idea what is wrong? Thanks

  • Which view will be resolved, code from spring's docs

    - by Blankman
So when you go to /appointments the get() action is called, so then would the view be get.jsp (assuming you are using .jsp, and assuming you are mapping action names to views)? And what about the getnewform? It seems to be returning an object? Is that basically passed into the view? @Controller @RequestMapping("/appointments") public class AppointmentsController { private final AppointmentBook appointmentBook; @Autowired public AppointmentsController(AppointmentBook appointmentBook) { this.appointmentBook = appointmentBook; } @RequestMapping(method = RequestMethod.GET) public Map<String, Appointment> get() { return appointmentBook.getAppointmentsForToday(); } @RequestMapping(value="/{day}", method = RequestMethod.GET) public Map<String, Appointment> getForDay(@PathVariable @DateTimeFormat(iso=ISO.DATE) Date day, Model model) { return appointmentBook.getAppointmentsForDay(day); } @RequestMapping(value="/new", method = RequestMethod.GET) public AppointmentForm getNewForm() { return new AppointmentForm(); } @RequestMapping(method = RequestMethod.POST) public String add(@Valid AppointmentForm appointment, BindingResult result) { if (result.hasErrors()) { return "appointments/new"; } appointmentBook.addAppointment(appointment); return "redirect:/appointments"; } } In the example, the @RequestMapping is used in a number of places. The first usage is on the type (class) level, which indicates that all handling methods on this controller are relative to the /appointments path. The get() method has a further @RequestMapping refinement: it only accepts GET requests, meaning that an HTTP GET for /appointments invokes this method. The post() has a similar refinement, and the getNewForm() combines the definition of HTTP method and path into one, so that GET requests for appointments/new are handled by that method.

  • How can I prevent default_environment variables from getting set by Capistrano's sudo action?

    - by Logan Koester
My deploy.rb sets some environment variables to use the regular user's local Ruby rather than the system-wide one. set :default_environment, { :PATH => '/home/myapp/.rvm/bin:/home/myapp/.rvm/bin:/home/myapp/.rvm/rubies/ruby-1.9.1-p378/bin:/home/myapp/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.1-p378/bin:/home/myapp/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.1-p378%global/bin:/home/myapp/bin:/usr/bin:/opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games', :RUBY_VERSION => 'ruby-1.9.1-p378', :GEM_HOME => '/home/myapp/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.1-p378', :GEM_PATH => '/home/myapp/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.1-p378:/home/myapp/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.1-p378%global' } Naturally, when a task is using sudo, I would expect the system-wide ruby to be used instead. But it seems the environment variables are being set anyway, which is obviously invalid for the root user and returns an error: executing "sudo -p 'sudo password: ' /etc/init.d/god stop" servers: ["myapp.com"] [myapp.com] executing command command finished failed: "env PATH=/home/myapp/.rvm/bin:/home/myapp/.rvm/bin:/home/myapp/.rvm/rubies/ruby-1.9.1-p378/bin:/home/myapp/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.1-p378/bin:/home/myapp/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.1-p378%global/bin:/home/myapp/bin:/usr/bin:/opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games RUBY_VERSION=ruby-1.9.1-p378 GEM_HOME=/home/myapp/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.1-p378 GEM_PATH=/home/myapp/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.1-p378:/home/myapp/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.1-p378%global sh -c 'sudo -p '\\''sudo password: '\\'' /etc/init.d/god stop'" on myapp.com It makes no difference whether I use capistrano's sudo "system call" or the regular run "sudo system call". How can I avoid this?

  • AVAudioPlayer not unloading cached memory after each new allocation

    - by Rob
I am seeing in Instruments that when I play a sound via the standard "AddMusic" example method that Apple provides, it allocates 32kb of memory via the prepareToPlay call (which references the AudioToolBox framework's Cache_DataSource::ReadBytes function) each time a new player is allocated (i.e. each time a different sound is played). However, that cached data never gets released. This obviously poses a huge problem if it doesn't get released and you have a lot of sound files to play, since it tends to keep allocating memory and eventually crashes if you have enough unique sound files (which I unfortunately do). Have any of you run across this or what am I doing wrong in my code? I've had this issue for a while now and it's really bugging me since my code is verbatim of what Apple's is (I think). How I call the function: - (void)playOnce:(NSString *)aSound { // Gets the file system path to the sound to play. NSString *soundFilePath = [[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:aSound ofType:@"caf"]; // Converts the sound's file path to an NSURL object NSURL *soundURL = [[NSURL alloc] initFileURLWithPath: soundFilePath]; self.soundFileURL = soundURL; [soundURL release]; AVAudioPlayer * newAudio=[[AVAudioPlayer alloc] initWithContentsOfURL: soundFileURL error:nil]; self.theAudio = newAudio; // automatically retain audio and dealloc old file if new m4a file is loaded [newAudio release]; // release the audio safely // this is where the prior cached data never gets released [theAudio prepareToPlay]; // set it up and play [theAudio setNumberOfLoops:0]; [theAudio setVolume: volumeLevel]; [theAudio setDelegate: self]; [theAudio play]; } and then theAudio gets released in the dealloc method of course.

  • Android strict dependency checks in SDK 17

    - by Christine
This is not a question because I already found the answer. The new Android SDK 17 has a stricter dependency check on jar files. At the same time, they added a jar that I think wasn't there before. My project encountered a conflict between the new annotations.jar in the SDK and one that I already used. Replacing one by the other would work, if they have the same origin. My annotations.jar is from jetbrains, via a Guice dependency, so replacing it doesn't work. This is the error I got: [2012-03-22 10:54:27 - MyApp] Jar mismatch! • Extracting a .app from a zip file in Python, using ZipFile

    - by Yakattak
I'm trying to extract new revisions of Chromium.app from their snapshots, and I can download the file fine, but when it comes to extracting it, ZipFile either extracts the chrome-mac folder within as a file, says that directories don't exist, etc. I am very new to python, so these errors make little sense to me. Here is what I have so far. import urllib2 response = urllib2.urlopen('http://build.chromium.org/buildbot/snapshots/chromium-rel-mac/LATEST') latestRev = response.read() print latestRev # we have the revision, now we need to download the zip and extract it latestZip = urllib2.urlopen('http://build.chromium.org/buildbot/snapshots/chromium-rel-mac/%i/chrome-mac.zip' % (int(latestRev)), '~/Desktop/ChromiumUpdate/%i-update' % (int(latestRev))) #declare some vars that hold paths n shit workingDir = '/Users/slehan/Desktop/ChromiumUpdate/' chromiumZipPath = '%s%i-update.zip' % (workingDir, (int(latestRev))) chromiumAppPath = 'chrome-mac/' #the path of the chromium executable within the zip file chromiumAppExtracted = '%s/Chromium.app' % (workingDir) # path of the extracted executable output = open(chromiumZipPath, 'w') #delete any current file there output.write(latestZip.read()) output.close() # we have the .zip now we need to extract the Chromium.app file, it's in ziproot/chrome-mac/Chromium.app import zipfile, os zippedFile = open(chromiumZipPath) zippedChromium = zipfile.ZipFile(zippedFile, 'r') zippedChromium.extract(chromiumAppPath, workingDir) #print zippedChromium.namelist() zippedChromium.close() #zippedChromium.close() Any ideas?

  • Help with Struts Action mapping

    - by nicotine
I am having a problem with my struts application it is a class enrollment app and when the user clicks on a "show enrolled courses" button it is supposed to show the courses they are enrolled in but it shows nothing at the moment. Struts/Apache does not return any errors, it Just shows a blank page and I cannot figure out why. My action mapping in my struts-config: <action path="/showEnrolled" type="actions.ShowEnrolledAction" name="UserFormEnrolled" scope="request" validate="true" input="/students/StudentMenu.jsp"> <forward name="success" path="/students/enrolled.jsp"/> </action> My link to the jsp enrolled.jsp page: <li><html:form action="/showEnrolled"> <html:hidden property="id" value= "<%=request.getRemoteUser()%>"/> <html:submit value = "View Enrolled Classes"/> </html:form> </li> When I click the link I get nothing but my menu on the page. The text headings for the page are not even displayed.

  • Retrieve a TextBox element dinamically created and Focus it

    - by user335444
    Hi, I have a collection (VariableValueCollection) of custom type VariableValueViewModel objects binded with a ListView. WPF Follow: <ListView ItemsSource="{Binding VariableValueCollection}" Name="itemList"> <ListView.Resources> <DataTemplate DataType="{x:Type vm:VariableValueViewModel}"> <Grid> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="180"></ColumnDefinition> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <TextBox TabIndex="{Binding Path=Index, UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged, Mode=TwoWay}" Grid.Column="0" Name="tbValue" Focusable="True" LostFocus="tbValue_LostFocus" GotFocus="tbValue_GotFocus" KeyDown="tbValue_KeyDown"> <TextBox.Text> <Binding Path="Value" UpdateSourceTrigger="PropertyChanged" Mode="TwoWay"> <Binding.ValidationRules> <ExceptionValidationRule></ExceptionValidationRule> </Binding.ValidationRules> </Binding> </TextBox.Text> </TextBox> </Grid> </DataTemplate> </ListView.Resources> </ListView> My Goal is to add a new row when I press "enter" on last row, and Focus the new row. To do that, I check that row is the last row and add a new row in that case. But I don't know how to focus the new TextBox... Here the KeyPressed method: private void tbValue_KeyDown(object sender, KeyEventArgs e) { if (e.Key == System.Windows.Input.Key.Enter) { DependencyObject obj = itemList.ContainerFromElement((sender as TextBox)); int index = itemList.ItemContainerGenerator.IndexFromContainer(obj); if( index == (VariableValueCollection.Count - 1) ) { // Create a VariableValueViewModel object and add to collection. In binding, that create a new list item with a new TextBox ViewModel.AddNewRow(); // How to set cursor and focus last row created? } } } Thank's in advance...

  • Does ASP.NET need to be configured for Full Trust to implement 'PageHandlerFactory' ?

    - by Kev
Our hosting platform (running IIS6/ASP.NET 2.0) is configured to run under partial trust. In the machine wide web.config file we set the ASP.NET trust level to Medium (and lock to prevent overrides) and use a modified policy file. When trying to add a custom HttpHandler to handle .aspx requests for a website running in this configuration I get the following security exception: Security Exception Description: The application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy. To grant this application the required permission please contact your system administrator or change the application's trust level in the configuration file. Exception Details: System.Security.SecurityException: Request failed. Source Error: An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. • Coding the Python way

    - by Aaron Moodie
I've just spent the last half semester at Uni learning python. I've really enjoyed it, and was hoping for a few tips on how to write more 'pythonic' code. This is the __init__ class from a recent assignment I did. At the time I wrote it, I was trying to work out how I could re-write this using lambdas, or in a neater, more efficient way, but ran out of time. def __init__(self, dir): def _read_files(_, dir, files): for file in files: if file == "classes.txt": class_list = readtable(dir+"/"+file) for item in class_list: Enrol.class_info_dict[item[0]] = item[1:] if item[1] in Enrol.classes_dict: Enrol.classes_dict[item[1]].append(item[0]) else: Enrol.classes_dict[item[1]] = [item[0]] elif file == "subjects.txt": subject_list = readtable(dir+"/"+file) for item in subject_list: Enrol.subjects_dict[item[0]] = item[1] elif file == "venues.txt": venue_list = readtable(dir+"/"+file) for item in venue_list: Enrol.venues_dict[item[0]] = item[1:] elif file.endswith('.roll'): roll_list = readlines(dir+"/"+file) file = os.path.splitext(file)[0] Enrol.class_roll_dict[file] = roll_list for item in roll_list: if item in Enrol.enrolled_dict: Enrol.enrolled_dict[item].append(file) else: Enrol.enrolled_dict[item] = [file] try: os.path.walk(dir, _read_files, None) except: print "There was a problem reading the directory" As you can see, it's a little bulky. If anyone has the time or inclination, I'd really appreciate a few tips on some python best-practices. Thanks.

    I've got some bindings in UI: <Window x:Class="Tester.MainWindow" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Title="MainWindow" Height="377" Width="562" xmlns:my="clr-namespace:MyApp"> <Grid> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Path=current.Text}" Name="Text1" /> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Path=current.o.Text}" Name="Text2" /> </Grid> </Window> Code: class Coordinator : INotifyPropertyChanged{ List<Myclass1> list; int currId = 0; public Myclass1 current{ return list[currId]; } public int CurrId { get { return currId; } set { currId = value; this.PropertyChanged(this,new PropertyChangedEventArgs("current")); } } class Myclass1{ public string Text{get;} public Myclass2 o{get;} } class Myclass2{ public string Text{get;} } When currId changes Tex1 in UI changes too,but Text2 doesn't. I'm assuming this happens because Text2's source isn't updated. Does anyone know how to fix it?

  • Bilinear interpolation - DirectX vs. GDI+

    - by holtavolt
I have a C# app for which I've written GDI+ code that uses Bitmap/TextureBrush rendering to present 2D images, which can have various image processing functions applied. This code is a new path in an application that mimics existing DX9 code, and they share a common library to perform all vector and matrix (e.g. ViewToWorld/WorldToView) operations. My test bed consists of DX9 output images that I compare against the output of the new GDI+ code. A simple test case that renders to a viewport that matches the Bitmap dimensions (i.e. no zoom or pan) does match pixel-perfect (no binary diff) - but as soon as the image is zoomed up (magnified), I get very minor differences in 5-10% of the pixels. The magnitude of the difference is 1 (occasionally 2)/256. I suspect this is due to interpolation differences. Question: For a DX9 ortho projection (and identity world space), with a camera perpendicular and centered on a textured quad, is it reasonable to expect DirectX.Direct3D.TextureFilter.Linear to generate identical output to a GDI+ TextureBrush filled rectangle/polygon when using the System.Drawing.Drawing2D.InterpolationMode.Bilinear setting? For this (magnification) case, the DX9 code is using this (MinFilter,MipFilter set similarly): Device.SetSamplerState(0, SamplerStageStates.MagFilter, (int)TextureFilter.Linear); and the GDI+ path is using: g.InterpolationMode = InterpolationMode.Bilinear; I thought that "Bilinear Interpolation" was a fairly specific filter definition, but then I noticed that there is another option in GDI+ for "HighQualityBilinear" (which I've tried, with no difference - which makes sense given the description of "added prefiltering for shrinking") Followup Question: Is it reasonable to expect pixel-perfect output matching between DirectX and GDI+ (assuming all external coordinates passed in are equal)? If not, why not? Finally, there are a number of other APIs I could be using (Direct2D, WPF, GDI, etc.) - and this question generally applies to comparing the output of "equivalent" bilinear interpolated output images across any two of these. Thanks!

  • Webfaction apache + mod_wsgi + django configuration issue

    - by Dmitry Guyvoronsky
A problem that I stumbled upon recently, and, even though I solved it, I would like to hear your opinion of what correct/simple/adopted solution would be. I'm developing website using Django + python. When I run it on local machine with "python manage.py runserver", local address is http://127.0.0.1:8000/ by default. However, on production server my app has other url, with path - like "http://server.name/myproj/" I need to generate and use permanent urls. If I'm using {% url view params %}, I'm getting paths that are relative to / , since my urls.py contains this urlpatterns = patterns('', (r'^(\d+)?$', 'myproj.myapp.views.index'), (r'^img/(.*)$', 'django.views.static.serve', {'document_root': settings.MEDIA_ROOT + '/img' }), (r'^css/(.*)$', 'django.views.static.serve', {'document_root': settings.MEDIA_ROOT + '/css' }), ) So far, I see 2 solutions: modify urls.py, include '/myproj/' in case of production run use request.build_absolute_uri() for creating link in views.py or pass some variable with 'hostname:port/path' in templates Are there prettier ways to deal with this problem? Thank you. Update: Well, the problem seems to be not in django, but in webfaction way to configure wsgi. Apache configuration for application with URL "hostname.com/myapp" contains the following line WSGIScriptAlias / /home/dreamiurg/webapps/pinfont/myproject.wsgi So, SCRIPT_NAME is empty, and the only solution I see is to get to mod_python or serve my application from root. • java annotations - problem with calling a locator class from a Vaadin Project

    - by George
Hello, I'm not sure how to explain this without writing several pages so I hope the actual code is more expressive. I've made a jar containing multiple annotation declaration similar to the following: @Target(ElementType.PACKAGE) @Retention(RetentionPolicy.RUNTIME) public @interface MarkedPackage { } then I have made a test jar containing several classes in several packages and marked just one package with the above annotation (with package-info.java) like below: @myPackage.MarkedPackage package package.test.jar; this jar had in its build path the jar containing the annotations. then I made a static class that has a method (LoadPlugins) that retrieves a list with all the jars of a directory. Then it searches through the jars for the 'package-info' class and checks if that classes package contains the MarkedPackage annotation. by calling this: if (checkPackageAnnotation(thisClass.getPackage())) where thisClass is the package-info class retrieved via a classloader. and: public static boolean checkPackageAnnotation(AnnotatedElement elem) { System.out.println(elem.getAnnotations().length); if (elem == null || !elem.isAnnotationPresent(MarkedPackage.class)) return false; return true; } the elem.getAnnotatios().length is there for debug purposes. And the problem appears when I call the method from the static class: if I call it from a main function: public class MyMain { public static void main(String[] args){ PluginUtils.LoadPlugins(); } } everything works perfectly it displays '1' from that System.out.println(elem.getAnnotations().length); But if I call it from a button from my Vaadin project: header.addComponent(new Button("CallThat", new Button.ClickListener() { public void buttonClick(ClickEvent event) { PluginUtils.LoadPlugins(); } })); It displays '0' from that System.out.println(elem.getAnnotations().length); Also I should mention that I created the main inside my Vaadin project so it would have the exact same build path and resources. Is there a problem with web applications and that "@Retention(RetentionPolicy.RUNTIME)" ? hope I was clear enough... Hope someone has a solution for me... If you need more information - let me know. Thank you.

  • Testing subpackage modules in Python 3

    - by Mitchell Model
I have been experimenting with various uses of hierarchies like this and the differences between absolute and relative imports, and can't figure out how to do routine things with the package, subpackages, and modules without simply putting everything on sys.path. I have a two-level package hierarchy: MyApp __init__.py Application __init__.py Module1 Module2 ... Domain __init__.py Module1 Module2 ... UI __init__.py Module1 Module2 ... I want to be able to do the following: Run test code in a Module's "if main" when the module imports from other modules in the same directory. Have one or more test code modules in each subpackage that runs unit tests on the modules in the subpackage. Have a set of unit tests that reside in someplace reasonable, but outside the subpackages, either in a sibling package, at the top-level package, or outside the top-level package (though all these might end up doing is running the tests in each subpackage) "Enter" the structure from any of the three subpackage levels, e.g. run code that just uses Domain modules, run code that just uses Application modules, but Application uses code from both Application and Domain modules, and run code from GUI uses code from both GUI and Application; for instance, Application test code would import Application modules but not Domain modules. After developing the bulk of the code without subpackages, continue developing and testing after organizing the modules into this hierarchy. I know how to use relative imports so that external code that puts MyApp on its sys.path can import MyApp, import any subpackages it wants, and import things from their modules, while the modules in each subpackage can import other modules from the same subpackage or from sibling packages. However, the development needs listed above seem incompatible with subpackage structuring -- in other words, I can't have it both ways: a well-structured multi-level package hierarchy used from the outside and also used from within, in particular for testing but also because modules from one design level (in particular the UI) should not import modules from a design level below the next one down. Sorry for the long essay, but I think it fairly represents the struggles a lot of people have been having adopting to the new relative import mechanisms.

  • How can I have a VBA macro perform a Search/Replace in formulas across an entire workbook?

    - by richardtallent
I distribute an Excel workbook to a number of users, and they are supposed to have a particular macro file pre-installed in their XLSTART folder. If they don't have the macro installed correctly, and they send the workbook back to me, any formulas depending on it include the full path of the macro, e.g.: 'C:\Documents and Settings\richard.tallent\Application Data\ Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART\pcs.xls'!MyMacroFunction() I want to create a quick macro I can use to remove the improper path from every formula in the workbook. I've successfully retrieved the special folder using GetSpecialFolder (an external function that is working just fine), but the Replace call itself shown below throws an "Application-defined or object-defined error". Public Sub FixBrokenMacroFormulas() Dim badpath As String badpath = "'" & GetSpecialFolder(AppDataFolder) & "\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART\mymacro.xls'!" Dim Sheet As Worksheet For Each Sheet In ActiveWorkbook.Sheets Call Sheet.Activate Call Sheet.Select(True) Call Selection.Replace(What:=badpath, Replacement:="", LookIn:=xlFormulas) ''//LookAt:=xlPart, MatchCase:=False, SearchFormat:=False, ReplaceFormat:=False Next End Sub Automating search and replace isn't exactly my forte, what am I doing wrong? I've already commented out some of the parameters that don't seem essential.

  • "You have already activated" message even when using bundle exec

I am installing gems in my Gemfile in shared path as Capistrano does by default, and when I run: bundle exec rake assets:precompile RAILS_ENV=production I get: You have already activated rake 0.9.2.2, but your Gemfile requires rake 10.0.4. • Bind a generic list to a listbox and also use a datatemplate

    - by muku
Hello, I'm trying to implement something quite simple but I'm on my first steps in WPF and I'm having some problems. I have a class called Component which has a property called Vertices. Vertices is a generic List of type Point. What I want is to bind the vertices property to a listbox. This is easy by using this code in my XAML in the listbox declaration: ItemsSource="{Binding Path=Component.Vertices, Mode=OneWay, Converter={StaticResource verticesconverter},UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged}" The tricky part is when I try to create a datatemplate for the listbox. I want each row of the listbox to display a textbox with the values of the Vertex (Point.X, Point.Y) and a button to allow me to delete the item. Could you help me on the datatemplate definition. The code below doesn't work to bind the X,Y values into two separate textboxes. Could you point me on the mistake and why nothing is displayed in the textboxes? <ListBox ItemsSource="{Binding Path=Component.Vertices, Mode=OneWay,UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged}"> <ListBox.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal" Margin="0,10,0,0"> <TextBox Text="{Binding X}" MinWidth="35" MaxWidth="35"/> <TextBox Text="{Binding Y}" MinWidth="35" MaxWidth="35"/> </StackPanel> </DataTemplate> </ListBox.ItemTemplate> /ListBox>

  • Why can't pass Marshaled interface as integer(or pointer)

    - by cemick
I passed ref of interface from Visio Add-ins to MyCOMServer (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2455183/interface-marshalling-in-delphi).I have to pass interface as pointer in internals method of MyCOMServer. I try to pass interface to internal method as pointer of interface, but after back cast when i try call method of interface I get exception. Simple example(Fisrt block execute without error, but At Second block I get Exception after addressed to property of IVApplication interface): procedure TMyCOMServer.test(const Interface_:IDispatch); stdcall; var IMy:_IMyInterface; V: Variant; Str: String; I: integer; Vis: IVApplication; begin ...... Self.QuaryInterface(_IMyInterface,IMy); str := IA.ApplicationName; V := Integer(IMy); i := V; Pointer(IMy) := Pointer(i); str := IMy.SomeProperty; // normal completion str := (Interface_ as IVApplication).Path; V := Interface_; I := V; Pointer(Vis) := Pointer(i); str := Vis.Path; // 'access violation at 0x76358e29: read of address 0xfeeefeee' end; Why I can't do like this?

  • Android, how to use DexClassLoader to dynamically replace an Activity or Service

    - by RickNotFred
I am trying to do something similar to this stackoverflow posting. What I want to do is to read the definition of an activity or service from the SD card. To avoid manifest permission issues, I create a shell version of this activity in the .apk, but try to replace it with an activity of the same name residing on the SD card at run time. Unfortunately, I am able to load the activity class definition from the SD card using DexClassLoader, but the original class definition is the one that is executed. Is there a way to specify that the new class definition replaces the old one, or any suggestions on avoiding the manifest permission issues without actually providing the needed activity in the package? The code sample: ClassLoader cl = new DexClassLoader("/sdcard/mypath/My.apk", getFilesDir().getAbsolutePath(), null, MainActivity.class.getClassLoader()); try { Class<?> c = cl.loadClass("com.android.my.path.to.a.loaded.activity"); Intent i = new Intent(getBaseContext(), c); startActivity(i); } catch (Exception e) { Intead of launching the com.android.my.path.to.a.loaded.activity specified in /sdcard/mypath/My.apk, it launches the activity statically loaded into the project.
