  • CouchDB crashes at startup when path to config file has space(s)

    - by Barry Wark
I'm hoping to run CouchDB as a per-user Launch Agent on OS X. I'm using the coucdbx-core folder from the CouchDB Server.app as the base of my CouchDB deployment. I'd like each user to have their own couch instance (on a different port), necessitating separate config files for each instance. The logical place to put these files is in ~/Library/Application Support/ for each user. I can put the entire distribution in ~/Library/Application Support/my-app/coucdbx, and put the .ini at ~/Library/Application Support/my-app/local.ini. Starting couchdb as bin/couchdb -a ../local.ini (from ~/Library/Application Support/my-app/coucdbx) works great. But I'd like to save every user the ~50MB couchdbx and install the couchdbx-core in a shared location (e.g. within my app's .app bundle). When I do this, the path to the per-user config file contains a space, and I get the following error when starting CouchDB: $ bin/couchdb -n -a ~/Library/Application\ Support/us.physion.ovation/default.ini {"init terminating in do_boot",{{badmatch,{error,{bad_return,{{couch_app,start,[normal,["/Users/hs/prj/build-couchdb/build/etc/couchdb/default.ini","/Users/hs/prj/build-couchdb/build/etc/couchdb/local.ini"]]},{'EXIT',{{badmatch,{error,{error,enoent}}},[{couch_server_sup,start_server,1,[{file,"/Users/hs/prj/build-couchdb/dependencies/couchdb/src/couchdb/couch_server_sup.erl"},{line,56}]},{application_master,start_it_old,4,[{file,"application_master.erl"},{line,274}]}]}}}}}},[{couch,start,0,[{file,"/Users/hs/prj/build-couchdb/dependencies/couchdb/src/couchdb/couch.erl"},{line,18}]},{init,start_it,1,[]},{init,start_em,1,[]}]}} Is there any way to provide a config file at the command line, if that config file's path includes space(s)? Despite my best efforts in the mailing list archives, wiki and google, I haven't been able to find a solution or a definitive "it can't work". Any help greatly appreciated.

  • Apache + Codeigniter + New Server + Unexpected Errors

    - by ngl5000
Alright here is the situation: I use to have my codeigniter site at bluehost were I did not have root access, I have since moved that site to rackspace. I have not changed any of the PHP code yet there has been some unexpected behavior. Unexpected Behavior: http://mysite.com/robots.txt Both old and new resolve to the robots file http://mysite.com/robots.txt/ The old bluehost setup resolves to my codeigniter 404 error page. The rackspace config resolves to: Not Found The requested URL /robots.txt/ was not found on this server. **This instance leads me to believe that there could be a problem with my mod rewrites or lack there of. The first one produces the error correctly through php while it seems the second senario lets the server handle this error. The next instance of this problem is even more troubling: 'http://mysite.com/search/term/9 x 1-1%2F2 white/' New site results in: Bad Request Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Old site results in: The actual page being loaded and the search term being unencoded. I have to assume that this has something to do with the fact that when I went to the new server I went from root level htaccess file to httpd.conf file and virtual server default and default-ssl. Here they are: Default file: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerAdmin webmaster@localhost ServerName mysite.com DocumentRoot /var/www <Directory /> Options +FollowSymLinks AllowOverride None </Directory> <Directory /var/www> Options -Indexes +FollowSymLinks -MultiViews AllowOverride None Order allow, deny allow from all RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / # force no www. When you need a different shutdown # approach you can use one of the following variables: # o ssl-unclean-shutdown: # This forces an unclean shutdown when the connection is closed, i.e. no # SSL close notify alert is send or allowed to received. This violates # the SSL/TLS standard but is needed for some brain-dead browsers. Use # this when you receive I/O errors because of the standard approach where # mod_ssl sends the close notify alert. # o ssl-accurate-shutdown: # This forces an accurate shutdown when the connection is closed, i.e. a # SSL close notify alert is send and mod_ssl waits for the close notify # alert of the client. This is 100% SSL/TLS standard compliant, but in # practice often causes hanging connections with brain-dead browsers. Use # this only for browsers where you know that their SSL implementation # works correctly. # Notice: Most problems of broken clients are also related to the HTTP # keep-alive facility, so you usually additionally want to disable # keep-alive for those clients, too. Use variable "nokeepalive" for this. # Similarly, one has to force some clients to use HTTP/1.0 to workaround # their broken HTTP/1.1 implementation. Use variables "downgrade-1.0" and # "force-response-1.0" for this. • Why my 2nd ip from traceroute is not answering the ping anymore?

    - by Pedro77
My Internet is really laggy today, I did a tracerout and I realize that I'm having no answer from an ip at the beginning of the traceroute. see: Tracing route to 12.129.202.154 over a maximum of 30 hops 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.0.1 2 * * * Request timed out. 3 8 ms 8 ms 8 ms bd044008.virtua.com.br [189.4.64.8] 4 9 ms 8 ms 8 ms bd044009.virtua.com.br [189.4.64.9] 5 26 ms 26 ms 24 ms embratel-T0-1-5-0-tacc01.cas.embratel.net.br [200.174.243.21] 6 360 ms 15 ms 12 ms ebt-T0-15-0-12-tcore01.ctamc.embratel.net.br [200.244.140.218] 7 330 ms 349 ms 261 ms ebt-Bundle-POS11942-intl04.mianap.embratel.net.br [200.230.220.10] 8 139 ms 141 ms 139 ms sl-st30-mia-.sprintlink.net [144.223.64.221] Connection diagram: PC - Router configured as access point - Router (192.168.0.1) - Cable modem (192.168.100.1). Well, I think it is odd that the 2nd ip is not returning the ping. I looked some old tracerout logs to see what was the 2nd ip. The ip was: 10.19.0.1 So, what this 2nd ip stand for? How can I find why it is not answering the ping? I don't understand it, if does not answer the ping, how can the packets continue (yeah newbie question)? edit: well, because the hope 3 have a ping of 8 ms the hop 2 request time out should really not be a problem. But it is still odd that the 2nd hop stopped to answer ping request. So my doubts are: 1. Were the ip 10.19.0.1 is from? 2. Why it stopped to answer ping requests? 3. How can hop 7 be smaller than 6 and 8 smaller than 7 and 6!?? Shouldn't the pings be higher for each hop? Like: hop 3 time should be the sum of the hops before it plus its own time (hop 3 = 1+2+3) ??

  • i7 overclocking problem

    - by benwebdev
Hi everyone, I've got an overclocked system that seems to be misbehaving. When trying to boot up from cold the system just hangs and nothing is output to the screen. Fans are on as they should but nothing happens to finish the boot. From here I have to switch it off then on again and the boot completes. If I go into the tweak menu in the BIOS I'm informed that a boot has failed I've been in touch with Overclockers UK support a bit and theres not yet been a solution. We've mainly been tweaking the voltage for the CPU. Any suggestions? I'm new to Overclocking which is why I got a bundle with OCUK. With this issue happening on Cold Boot too its tricky to test as I have to make a change then wait till the next day. My system is here: Intel Core i7 930 2.80Ghz overclocked to 4GHz Gigabyte X58A-UD3R (BIOS Version: FC) 6GB RAM Power Supply - CoolerMaster Silent Pro M series 700W One suggestion made by OCUK was that maybe its the power supply but I'm not sure and dont have a spare - it's brand new and a pretty expensive piece of kit. Any thoughts on this? Other recomendations for Power? thanks Ben

  • Passenger not booting Rails App

    - by firecall
I'm at the end of ability, so time to ask for help. My hosting company are moving me to a new server. I've got my own VPS. It's a fresh CentOS 5 install with Plesk 9.5.2 Essentially Passenger just doesnt seem to be booting the Rails app. It's like it doesnt see it's a Rails app to be booted. I've got Rails 3.0 install with Ruby 1.9.2 built from source. I can run Bundle Install and that works. I've currently got Passenger 3 RC1 installed as per here, but have tried v2 as well. My conf/vhost.conf file looks like this: DocumentRoot /var/www/vhosts/foosite.com.au/httpdocs/public/ RackEnv development #Options Indexes I've got a /etc/httpd/conf.d/passenger.conf file which looks like this: LoadModule passenger_module /usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.9.1/gems/passenger-3.0.0.pre4/ext/apache2/mod_passenger.so PassengerRoot /usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.9.1/gems/passenger-3.0.0.pre4 PassengerRuby /usr/local/bin/ruby PassengerLogLevel 2 and all I get is a 403 forbidden or the directory listing if I enable Indexes. I dont know what else to do! Yikes. There's nothing in the Apache error log that I can see. The new server admin isnt much help as I think he's a bit junior and says he doesnt know about Rails... sigh :/ I'm a programmer and server admin isnt my bag :(

  • Thumbnail generation with imagemagick doesn't render the correct colors

    - by Bastien
Generating thumbnails of PDFs with imagemagick sometimes renders incorrect colors. We're using an old version of imagemagick (6.5.7-8, that's the version installed on the heroku servers). Here is the command we're currently using: convert -size "725x1200>" -colorspace RGB -flatten -density 300 -quality 100 input.pdf output.jpg I've tried using different colorspaces like sRGB,YIQ,.. but none of them are rendering the color correctly. Using imagemagick-6.7.7-6 locally works so I've tried to bundle the 'convert' command within my application /bin directory, the command works but the result is still wrong, so it seems that the problem comes either from another imagemagick command used by 'convert' or from another library. Here's an example of the outputs: Correct output: http://i.stack.imgur.com/gf9eG.jpg Wrong output: http://i.stack.imgur.com/imUeD.jpg Strangely, with some pages of the same pdf the output is always correct. Any idea which library or command could be the issue, or if there is a proper set of options to pass to imagemagick to always get it right? Thanks in advance for your help.

  • InstantSSL's certificate no different than a self signed certificate under Nginx with an IP accessed address

    - by Absolute0
I ordered an ssl certificate from InstantSSL and got the following pair of files: my_ip.ca-bundle, my_ip.crt I also previously generated my own key and crt files using openssl. I concatenated all the crt files: cat my_previously_generted.crt my_ip.ca_bundle my_ip.crt chained.crt And configured nginx as follows: server { ... listen 443; ssl on; ssl_certificate /home/dmsf/csr/chained.crt; ssl_certificate_key /home/dmsf/csr/csr.nopass.key; ... } I don't have a domain name as per the clients request. When I open the browser with https://my_ip chrome gives me this error: The site's security certificate is not trusted! You attempted to reach my_ip, but the server presented a certificate issued by an entity that is not trusted by your computer's operating system. This may mean that the server has generated its own security credentials, which Google Chrome cannot rely on for identity information, or an attacker may be trying to intercept your communications. You should not proceed, especially if you have never seen this warning before for this site.

  • How do I Install Intermediate Certificates (in AWS)?

    - by getmizanur
I have installed private key (pem encoded) and public key certificate (pem encoded) on Amazon Load Balancer. However, when I check the SSL with site test tool, I get the following error: Error while checking the SSL Certificate!! Unable to get the local issuer of the certificate. The issuer of a locally looked up certificate could not be found. Normally this indicates that not all intermediate certificates are installed on the server. I converted crt file to pem using these commands from this tutorial: openssl x509 -in input.crt -out input.der -outform DER openssl x509 -in input.der -inform DER -out output.pem -outform PEM During setup of Amazon Load Balancer, the only option I left out was certificate chain. (pem encoded) However, this was optional. Could this be cause of my issue? And if so; How do I create certificate chain? UPDATE If you make request to VeriSign they will give you a certificate chain. This chain includes public crt, intermediate crt and root crt. Make sure to remove the public crt from your certificate chain (which is the top most certificate) before adding it to your certification chain box of your Amazon Load Balancer. If you are making HTTPS requests from an Android app, then above instruction may not work for older Android OS such as 2.1 and 2.2. To make it work on older Android OS: go here click on "retail ssl" tab and then click on "secure site" "CA Bundle for Apache Server" copy and past these intermediate certs into certificate chain box. just incase if you have not found it here is the direct link. If you are using geo trust certificates then the solution is much the same for Android devices, however, you need to copy and paste their intermediate certs for Android.

  • GitLab post-receive hook not firing

    - by Ben Graham
Apologies if this isn't the right stackexchange. I have a GitLab install. It was installed over the top of a gitolite install that was only a few days old, and I assume this non-standard setup is at the root of my problem, but I cannot pin it down. The problem is straightforward: post-receive hooks are not fired. This prevents 'project activity' appearing in GitLab. The problem looks like: $ git push #... error: cannot run hooks/post-receive: No such file or directory Hook Exists The post-receive hook/symlink exists and is executable: -rwxr-xr-x 1 git git 470 Oct 3 2012 .gitolite/hooks/common/post-receive lrwxrwxrwx 1 git git 45 Oct 3 2012 repositories/project.git/hooks/post-receive -> /home/git/.gitolite/hooks/common/post-receive It's Executable By GitLab The gitlab user can execute the script (I have removed the /dev/null redirect and fed in blank input to get an 'OK' as output): sudo su - gitlab -c /home/git/.gitolite/hooks/common/post-receive OK GitLab Can Find It GitLab is looking for hooks in the correct location: $ grep hooks /srv/gitlab/gitlab/config/gitlab.yml hooks_path: /home/git/.gitolite/hooks/ and $ bundle exec rake gitlab:app:status RAILS_ENV=production # ... /home/git/.gitolite/hooks/common/post-receive exists? ............YES Environment The env -i line in the hook is commonly cited as an issue. I think that would occur after this problem, but for completeness, redis-cli is found OK: $ env -i redis-cli redis> I've run out of debugging ideas on this one. Does anybody have any suggestions?

  • What is auto-mounting my media volume?

    - by user285277
Something is repeatedly mounting my "media" share, doing something with it, then quietly un-mounting it with no notifications at the user level. from the little I can gleaned from the console messages below, I thought I'd managed to stop it, if not understand it last night when I followed instructions for deleting all traces of the Google Update Daemon. I've not been using any Google apps whatsoever, so I was surprised to see that in Console. What's more surprising, and perhaps a little distressing, is that the same thing occurred this evening, when the Google Daemon is long gone. I don't have that log because I can't recall precisely what time it occurred. I'll do a search and provide it if you wish, though. In the meantime, any help with this would be extremely appreciated. I've asked over at Apple Discussions but I think it might be a little deeper than those manning the boards this weekend are comfortable with. It's certainly beyond my meager skills. • Home Sharing and Remote on iTunes causing firewall nags

    - by BoltClock
It seems that enabling Home Sharing and/or hooking up my iPhone's Remote to iTunes causes Mac OS X Snow Leopard's firewall to freak out and keep nagging every time I launch iTunes to ask if I'd like it to accept incoming connections. If I turn off Home Sharing and forget all Remotes, the nag dialog no longer comes up. I could also disable the firewall, but I think that's a silly thing to do. iTunes is already in the firewall whitelist, so the only thing I know that could cause Mac OS X to nag is a bad application bundle code signature. I checked with this Terminal command: $ codesign -vvv /Applications/iTunes.app/ And sure enough, this is what it outputs: /Applications/iTunes.app/: a sealed resource is missing or invalid /Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/AutofillSettings.nib/objects.xib: resource added /Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/iTunesDJSettings.nib/objects.xib: resource added /Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/MobilePhonePrefs.nib/objects.xib: resource added /Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/MobilePhoneSetup.nib/objects.xib: resource added /Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/UniversalAccess.nib/objects.xib: resource added I've tried reinstalling iTunes as suggested by this answer, but Mac OS X still nags about incoming connections and the exact same output is generated when I run the above command again. On my PC, Windows Firewall has never nagged whenever I turn on Home Sharing and hook up Remote on my iPhone. Both computers use iTunes 9.2.1. My Mac runs Mac OS X 10.6.4. Is there anything special I need to do that I might have missed? Or how do I resolve the issue? EDIT: I've updated to iTunes 10, but the nags on my Mac are still there and only go away if I turn off Home Sharing and Remote. EDIT 2: I've updated to Remote 2.0 on my iPhone, but the firewall nags are persisting. Has anyone else had this firewall issue at all?

  • Setting cfengine3 class based on command output

    - by gnomie
This question is very similar to How can I use the output of a command in cfengine3 but the answer does not apply in my case I believe. I want to update a git repository via "git pull" and based on whether that lead to changes trigger some follow up action. Simplified, if there was something like "match output and set class" via some body if_output_matches I would want to use something like this: bundle agent updateRepo { commands: "/usr/bin/git pull" contain => setuidgiddir_sh("$(globals.user)","$(globals.group)","$(target)"), classes => if_output_matches("Already up-to-date.","no_update"); reports: no_update:: "nothing updated"; } body contain setuidgiddir_sh(owner,group,folder) { exec_owner => "$(owner)"; exec_group => "$(group)"; useshell => "true"; chdir => "$(folder)"; } So, is it possible to use the output of a - possibly expensive command - and base some decision on that? The execresult function is no good choice for me as a) the pull may become expensive at times (not recommended following the cfengine3 reference) and b) does not allow to specify user, group, working dir - which is important in my case. The repository is in user space and not owned by root.

I'm working in Eclipse one night, (also using Android's DDMS from the commandline). The next morning, I open the lid... attempt to run Eclipse and get an error. me$ sudo /Applications/eclipse/eclipse JavaVM: requested Java version ((null)) not available. Using Java at "" instead. • apache: can't renew ssl certificate

    - by Caballero
I have Godaddy SSL certificate for one website on my dedicated server running Centos 5.3 / Apache 2.2.3. I have renewed certificate on Godaddy recently, however now it's showing as expired on my website. I've re-keyed certificate since and reuploaded domain.key, domain.crt and bundle.crt (example file names) files to the server, restarted apache, but the sertificate still shows as expired. I'm running out of clues. I've tried replacing content of .crt files with jiberish and restart apache - it's still showing that certificate is expired, even though it shouldn't be picked up at all. I eventually rebooted dedicated server, still no luck. I'm using free SSL check tool http://www.digicert.com/help/ which clearly shows all the green checks except one - certificate is expired. Has someone any idea what might be causing this? Could there be some kind of caching going on here? UPDATE: after running openssl x509 -in domain.crt -noout -enddate I'm getting this output: notAfter=Jun 2 08:16:51 2013 GMT So I asume this means I have the right certificate on the server and yet the old expired one shows on the web...

  • How to get rid of "Maxback Engine" for good?

    - by Jonik
I used to have a Maxtor Shared Storage II network drive; it broke down long ago already. (Later I tried to recover some data from it, and partially succeeded, but haven't yet fully documented it on that question.) Anyway, I just noticed there are still some lingering bits remaining of the (thourougly crappy) software that came with the Maxtor device: a background process called "MaxBack Engine". I googled around a bit and found something related but not very useful: http://www.straitmac.com/jforum/posts/list/600.page http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=725692 Under /Applications I found "Maxtor EasyManage.app" which I used to use for controlling the drive, and showed it some "rm -rf". Before deleting, I noted that the bundle did contain "MaxBack Engine.app" under Content/Resources. But still, after reboot, the "MaxBack Engine" process is back. I did notice though that it only appears when logging in with my usual user account; with another account it wasn't launched. So, dear Mac gurus, what could I do about this pest? I guess I could fall back to some Unix hackery and write a cronjob that kills any process with that name, but obviously it'd be nicer to be able to clean up from my computer everything left behind by Maxtor's piece of software.

Http sees to work fine and navigates to the root directory and publishes the page fine - DocumentRoot /var/www/html/websites/ssl.domain.co.uk/ (as specified in my vhost config) However, https seems to be looking for files in the main apache document root found further up the httpd.conf file, and is not being overwritten by the vhost config. (I assume that vhost config does overwrite the default doc root?). DocumentRoot: The directory out of which you will serve your documents. By default, all requests are taken from this directory, but symbolic links and aliases may be used to point to other locations. DocumentRoot "/var/www/html/websites/" Here is my config, I am quite a new Linux guy so any advise is appreciated on why this is happening!? • Postfix SMTP-relay server against Gmail on CentOS 6.4

I'm currently trying to setup an SMTP-relay server to Gmail with Postfix on a CentOS 6.4 machine, so I can send e-mails from my PHP scripts. • How can I avoid permission denied errors when attempting to deploy a rails app with capistrano?

    - by joshee
Total noob here. I'm attempting to deploy an app through Capistrano. I'm getting relentless permission denied errors when I attempt to run cap deploy:update. Seemingly at least some of these errors are due to missing directories that trigger a "Permission Denied" error. (I'm doing setup on root just temporarily.) set :user, 'root' set :domain, 'domainname.com' set :application, 'appname' # adjust if you are using RVM, remove if you are not $:.unshift(File.expand_path('./lib', ENV['rvm_path'])) require "rvm/capistrano" set :rvm_ruby_string, '1.9.2' # file paths set :repository, "ssh://[email protected]/~/git/appname.git" set :deploy_to, "/var/rails/appname" # distribute your applications across servers (the instructions below put them # all on the same server, defined above as 'domain', adjust as necessary) role :app, domain role :web, domain role :db, domain, :primary => true set :deploy_via, :remote_cache set :scm, 'git' set :branch, 'master' set :scm_verbose, true set :use_sudo, false set :rails_env, :production namespace :deploy do desc "cause Passenger to initiate a restart" task :restart do run "touch #{current_path}/tmp/restart.txt" end desc "reload the database with seed data" task :seed do run "cd #{current_path}; rake db:seed RAILS_ENV=#{rails_env}" end end after "deploy:update_code", :bundle_install desc "install the necessary prerequisites" task :bundle_install, :roles => :app do run "cd #{release_path} && bundle install" end Here's my result: ** [domainname.com :: out] Cloning into '/var/rails/appname/shared/cached-copy'... ** [domainname.com :: err] Permission denied, please try again. ** [domainname.com :: err] Permission denied, please try again. ** [domainname.com :: err] Permission denied (publickey,gssapi-with-mic,password). ** [domainname.com :: err] fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly I'm able to ssh without a password, so not sure about that publickey error. By the way, if I run cap deploy:update without set :deploy_via, :remote_cache, here's my result: ** [domainname.com :: out] Cloning into '/var/rails/appname/releases/20120326204237'... ** [domainname.com :: err] Permission denied, please try again. ** [domainname.com :: err] Permission denied, please try again. ** [domainname.com :: err] Permission denied (publickey,gssapi-with-mic,password). ** [domainname.com :: err] fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly command finished Thanks a lot for your help with this.

  • Share one ssl certificate between multiples vhost

    - by Cesar
I have a setup like this: <VirtualHost 192.168.1.104:80> ServerName domain1 DocumentRoot /home/domain/public_html ... </VirtualHost> <VirtualHost 192.168.1.104:80> ServerName domain2 DocumentRoot /home/domain2/public_html ... </VirtualHost> <VirtualHost 192.168.1.104:80> DocumentRoot /home/domain3/public_html ServerName domain3 ... </VirtualHost> <VirtualHost 192.168.1.104:443> ServerName domain3 SSLCertificateFile /usr/share/ssl/certs/certificate.crt SSLCertificateKeyFile /usr/share/ssl/private/private.key SSLCACertificateFile /usr/share/ssl/certs/bundle.cabundle ... </VirtualHost> I want to use domain3 certificate in the other domains, preferably without having to repeat all the <VirtualHost 192.168.1.104:443> config. In other words I want something like this: If the vhost has no explicit ssl config use cert for domain3 (/usr/share/ssl/certs/certificate.crt) Notes: 1.- I for sure will be setting more vhosts in the future 2.- I know (and don't care) of the ssl warnings the browser will show (hostname mismatch) If this possible? how?

  • Pushing Windows Store apps silently

    - by seagull
As part of a requirement I have been issued, I seek the ability to push apps from the Windows Store (.appx) to remote users. The framework surrounding the data transmission is sorted; What I need to know is if there is a script that can be sent out along with a URI or the package proper to facilitate installation on the user-side of the Windows Store app. I am well aware that numerous guides exist from Microsoft on pushing out Line-of-Business (LOB) (AKA Enterprise) applications -- that is, apps that have been developed in-house and are not for the consumption of the Windows store. This is inappropriate for my requirement, however; the customer wants their clients to receive apps that appear currently on the Windows Store, and for them to be installed in a silent manner. I've seen this guide; http://blogs.technet.com/b/keithmayer/archive/2013/02/25/step-by-step-deploying-windows-8-apps-with-system-center-2012-service-pack-1.aspx, which details doing exactly this, but it is only applicable to machines that are administered by a system running Windows Server 2012 R2 with the 'System Center 2012' bundle installed. The systems I target are considerably more decentralised than this, making this guide inappropriate. I have a hunch that Microsoft have deliberately designed the Windows Store to be this way, but I figured I ought to ask around before I resign myself to the requirement. Much obliged

  • Sendmail Configuration for Exchange Server

    - by user119720
i need help for sendmail configuration in our linux machine. Here the things: I want to send email to outside by using our exchange server as the mail relay. But when sending the email through the server,it will response "user unknown".To make it worse, it will bounce back all the sent message to my localhost. I already tested our configuration by using external mail server such as gmail and yahoo, the configuration is working without any issue and the email can be sent to the recipient. Most of the configuration of my sendmail is based on here. authinfo file : AuthInfo:my_exchange_server "U:my_name" "I:my_email" "P:my_passwd" "M:PLAIN LOGIN" AuthInfo:my_exchange_server:587 "U:my_name" "I:my_email" "P:my_passwd" "M:PLAIN LOGIN" sendmail.mc : FEATURE(authinfo, hash /etc/mail/authinfo.db) define(`SMART_HOST', `my_exchange server')dnl define('RELAY_MAILER_ARGS', 'TCP $h 587') define('ESMTP_MAILER_ARGS', 'TCP $h 587') define('confCACERT_PATH', '/usr/share/ssl/certs') define('confCACET','/usr/share/ssl/certs/ca-bundle.crt') define('confSERVER_CERT','/usr/share/ssl/certs/sendmail.pem') define('confSERVER_KEY','/usr/share/ssl/certs/sendmail.pem') define('confAUTH_MECHANISMS', 'EXTERNAL GSSAPI DIGEST-MD5 CRAM-MD5 LOGIN PLAIN') TRUST_AUTH_MECH('EXTERNAL DIGEST-MD5 CRAM-MD5 LOGIN PLAIN') define('confAUTH_OPTIONS, 'A')dnl My first assumptions the problem occur is due to the authentication problem, as exchange server need encrypted authentication (DIGEST-MD5).I have already changed this in the authinfo file (from plain login to digest-md5 login) but still not working. I also can telnet our exchange server. So the port is not being blocked by firewall. Can someone help me out with this problems?I'm really at wits ends. Thanks.

  • Multiple SSL certificates on Apache using multiple public IPs - not working

    - by St. Even
I need configure multiple SSL certificates on a single Apache server. I already know that I need multiple external IP addresses as I cannot use SNI (only running Apache 2.2.3 on this server). I assumed that I had everything configured correctly, unfortunately things are not working as they should (or maybe I should say, as I expected them to work)... In my httpd.conf I have: NameVirtualHost *:80 NameVirtualHost *:443 Lets say my public IP is 12.0.0.1 and my private IP is 192.168.0.1. When I use the public IP in my vhost my default website is being shown instead the one defined in my vhost, e.g.: <VirtualHost 12.0.0.1:443> ServerAdmin [email protected] ServerName blablabla.site.com DocumentRoot /data/sites/blablabla.site.com ErrorLog /data/sites/blablabla.site.com-error.log #CustomLog /data/sites/blablabla.site.com-access.log common SSLEngine On SSLCertificateFile /etc/httpd/conf/ssl/blablabla.site.com.crt SSLCertificateKeyFile /etc/httpd/conf/ssl/blablabla.site.com.key SSLCertificateChainFile /etc/httpd/conf/ssl/blablabla.site.com.ca-bundle <Location /> SSLRequireSSL On SSLVerifyDepth 1 SSLOptions +StdEnvVars +StrictRequire </Location> </VirtualHost> When I use the private IP in my vhost everything works as it should (the website defined in my vhost is being shown), e.g.: <VirtualHost 192.168.0.1:443> ...same as above... </VirtualHost> My server is listening on all interfaces: [root@grbictwebp02 httpd]# netstat -tulpn | grep :443 tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:443 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 5585/httpd What am I doing wrong? If I cannot get this to work I cannot continue to add the second SSL certificate on the other public IP... If more information is required just let me know!

  • Android WebView not loading a JavaScript file, but Android Browser loads it fine.

    - by Justin
I'm writing an application which connects to a back office site. The backoffice site contains a whole slew of JavaScript functions, at least 100 times the average site. Unfortunately it does not load them, and causes much of the functionality to not work properly. So I am running a test. I put a page out on my server which loads the FireBugLite javascript text. Its a lot of javascript and perfect to test and see if the Android WebView will load it. The WebView loads nothing, but the browser loads the Firebug Icon. What on earth would make the difference, why can it run in the browser and not in my WebView? Any suggestions. More background information, in order to get the stinking backoffice application available on a Droid (or any other platform except windows) I needed to trick the bakcoffice application to believe what's accessing the website is Internet Explorer. I do this by modifying the WebView User Agent. Also for this application I've slimmed my landing page, so I could give you the source to offer me aid. package ksc.myKMB; import android.app.Activity; import android.app.AlertDialog; import android.app.Dialog; import android.app.ProgressDialog; import android.content.DialogInterface; import android.graphics.Bitmap; import android.os.Bundle; import android.view.Menu; import android.view.MenuInflater; import android.view.MenuItem; import android.view.Window; import android.webkit.WebChromeClient; import android.webkit.WebView; import android.webkit.WebSettings; import android.webkit.WebViewClient; import android.widget.Toast; public class myKMB extends Activity { /** Called when the activity is first created. */ @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); /** Performs base set up */ /** Create a Activity of this Activity, IE myProcess */ myProcess = this; /*** Create global objects and web browsing objects */ HideDialogOnce = true; webview = new WebView(this) { }; webChromeClient = new WebChromeClient() { public void onProgressChanged(WebView view, int progress) { // Activities and WebViews measure progress with different scales. // The progress meter will automatically disappear when we reach 100% myProcess.setProgress((progress * 100)); //CreateMessage("Progress is : " + progress); } }; webViewClient = new WebViewClient() { public void onReceivedError(WebView view, int errorCode, String description, String failingUrl) { Toast.makeText(myProcess, MessageBegText + description + MessageEndText, Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show(); } public void onPageFinished (WebView view, String url) { /** Hide dialog */ try { // loadingDialog.dismiss(); } finally { } //myProcess.setProgress(1000); /** Fon't show the dialog while I'm performing fixes */ //HideDialogOnce = true; view.loadUrl("javascript:document.getElementById('JTRANS011').style.visibility='visible';"); } public void onPageStarted(WebView view, String url, Bitmap favicon) { if (HideDialogOnce == false) { //loadingDialog = ProgressDialog.show(myProcess, "", // "One moment, the page is laoding...", true); } else { //HideDialogOnce = true; } } }; getWindow().requestFeature(Window.FEATURE_PROGRESS); webview.setWebChromeClient(webChromeClient); webview.setWebViewClient(webViewClient); setContentView(webview); /** Load the Keynote Browser Settings */ LoadSettings(); webview.loadUrl(LandingPage); } /** Get Menu */ @Override public boolean onCreateOptionsMenu(Menu menu) { MenuInflater inflater = getMenuInflater(); inflater.inflate(R.menu.menu, menu); return true; } /** an item gets pushed */ @Override public boolean onOptionsItemSelected(MenuItem item) { switch (item.getItemId()) { // We have only one menu option case R.id.quit: System.exit(0); break; case R.id.back: webview.goBack(); case R.id.refresh: webview.reload(); case R.id.info: //IncludeJavascript(""); } return true; } /** Begin Globals */ public WebView webview; public WebChromeClient webChromeClient; public WebViewClient webViewClient; public ProgressDialog loadingDialog; public Boolean HideDialogOnce; public Activity myProcess; public String OverideUserAgent_IE = "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; MSIE 6.0; Android 1.6; en-US) AppleWebKit/525.10+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0.4 Safari/523.12.2 myKMB/1.0"; public String LandingPage = "http://kscserver.com/main-leap-slim.html"; public String MessageBegText = "Problem making a connection, Details: "; public String MessageEndText = " For Support Call: (xxx) xxx - xxxx."; public void LoadSettings() { webview.getSettings().setUserAgentString(OverideUserAgent_IE); webview.getSettings().setJavaScriptEnabled(true); webview.getSettings().setBuiltInZoomControls(true); webview.getSettings().setSupportZoom(true); } /** Creates a message alert dialog */ public void CreateMessage(String message) { AlertDialog.Builder builder = new AlertDialog.Builder(this); builder.setMessage(message) .setCancelable(true) .setNegativeButton("Close", new DialogInterface.OnClickListener() { public void onClick(DialogInterface dialog, int id) { dialog.cancel(); } }); AlertDialog alert = builder.create(); alert.show(); } } My Application is running in the background, and as you can see no Firebug in the lower right hand corner. However the browser (the emulator on top) has the same page but shows the firebug. What am I doing wrong? I'm assuming its either not enough memory allocated to the application, process power allocation, or a physical memory thing. I can't tell, all I know is the results are strange. I get the same thing form my android device, the application shows no firebug but the browser shows the firebug.

  • Including an embedded framework using a cross-project-reference: Header no such file or directory

    - by d11wtq
I'm trying to create a Cocoa framework by using a cross-project reference in Xcode. I have 2 projects: one for the framework; one for the application that will use the framework. This framework is not intended to be stored within the system; it is an embedded framework that lives within the application bundle. I have successfully made the cross-project reference, marked the framework as being a dependency of my target, added a Copy Files build phase that puts the framework in Contents/Frameworks/ and added the framework to the linker phase (I checked the little "Target" checkbox; I've also done it manually by dragging the framework into the linker phase). My framework's install directory is correctly set to @executable_path/../Frameworks. However, when I try to build my app it: a) Correctly builds the framework first b) Correctly copies the framework c) Errors because it cannot find the master header file in my framework I have verified that the header is there. I can see it in the app product that is partially built. ls build/Debug/CioccolataTest.webapp/Contents/Frameworks/Cioccolata.framework/Headers/Cioccolata.h build/Debug/CioccolataTest.webapp/Contents/Frameworks/Cioccolata.framework/Headers/Cioccolata.h I have been able to successfully build the app by copying my framework into /Library/Frameworks (I can then delete it again after the successful build), but this is a workaround, I'm looking to find it out why Xcode doesn't find the framework's master header file without it being copied to a system directory. Is copying it to the app bundle during the build not sufficient? Here's the full build transcript if it's any help (it's just a Hello World app right now, so not much going on here): Build Cioccolata of project Cioccolata with configuration Debug SymLink
