  • How can I dual boot my iphone or ipad to run a very simple custom os?

    I am an experienced C/C++ programmer and have worked with assembly and many other programing language and I want to start a project as a learning process. I want to try and run a simple custom os on the iphone or ipad. What knowledge would I need to do this, and how does the iphone or ipad bootloader load the os and how could I modify it to load a custom os? Im not really sure what to ask here so I really just need to get as much information as possible so I could ask some more informed questions to get my project started Thanks

  • Synthetic click doesn't switch application's menu bar (Mac OS X)

    Hi. I'm developing some sort of air mouse application for iPhone platform. This applications connects to one computer service which generates mouse events on Mac OS X. I'm generating this events with CGEventCreateMouseEvent() and CGEventPost(). But I've encountered one problem. Let's say you are using Safari and then you click on free desktop space. If you do this with regular mouse it will hide Safari's top menu bar and show Finder menu bar. But on these synthetic events it doesn't act like that. Do I have to post some other event or set some additional properties?   • Using a custom annotation on a Spring MVC controller method from an interceptor.

    I have a custom annotation with which I've annotated a method in my Controller alongside a @ReqestMapping. The goal is to use the values set in the custom annotation from a HandlerInterceptor to perform a task. I have the interceptor (HandlerInterceptorAdaptor) mapped and it executes. If I set a breakpoint in my concrete Interceptor I can inspect the HttpServletRequest, HttpServletResponse, and handler Objects. However, I cannot see how to 1, obtain the method which the request is trying to access 2, obtain the Annotations on that method and 3, of course, obtain the values set by the annotation. Can anyone point me to good documentation for this? Please and Thank You.

    Can I name a custom column in the SELECT statement and reference that in the WHERE clause without duplicating code? For example; SELECT RIGHT(REPLICATE('0', 5) + RTRIM(SOME_ID)), 5) AS DISPLAY_ID FROM dbo.MY_TABLE WHERE DISPLAY_ID LIKE '%005%' Only much more complicated. I want to maintain this code in one place only but SQL Server 2005 forces me to duplicate the custom SELECT in the WHERE clause. I believe this was possible in Microsoft SQL Server 2000 but no longer in 2005. Thanks.

  • How can I get the name of the Lead Owner in a Lead custom formula field?

    I've got an application that reads Lead records from Salesforce via the API and I want to link the Lead Owner field to an attribute in the application. The Lead Owner field doesn't up in the list of available fields but all the custom fields do. So, my first attempt at a solution was to create a custom field that displayed the Lead Owner name. In the SF formula editor, as far as I can tell, it doesn't display the actual data field but instead displays the ID string. Which is pretty meaningless in the context that I need it for. Is there a way that we can get at the data in the object that the ID string references? I have the RED BOX but need the GREEN BOX.

    Is there anyway to set a custom font or color for the selected item in a Spinner? For example, I open the spinner and click a priority of "High". I'm my layout containing the spinner, I would like to see the word "High" in red or a custom font. I can't seem to obtain the textview to make the necessary change. I always obtain a NullPointerException if I typecast the spinner.getSelectedView() to textview and attempt to set the color. any ideas? thanks in advance!

    Hello. Can anyone tell me how to create a custom installer to 'install' games. I say custom meaning I don't want the user to have the option where the game is installed. I want it to be a straight forward process, maybe with just one loading bar. The program I'm developing is a 'center' for game playing, which includes a community and other features, such as a timer that records how long a game is played for. I just thought that installing each game in one place, with a simple installer would make the program easier to use. It also will allow me to do other features as the games will all be installed in one place. No need for the user to specify where the game is installed. Would this be possible?

I already have middleware/context processors that links the current request (based on domain) to the account. My question is how to dynamically serve the CSS with the account's custom color scheme. I see two options: Add a CSS block to the base template that overrides the styles w/variables passed in through a context processors. Use a custom URL (e.g. "/static/dynamic/css//styles.css") that gets routed to a view that grabs all the necessary values and creates the css file. I'm content with either option, but was wondering if anyone else out there has dealt with similar problems and could give some insight as to "Best Practices".

  • How to run a javascript function before postback of asp.net button?

    I'm using Javascript to create a DIV element and open up a new page by using onclientclick. This works great. Now, I need to write to it from the server side and this element must be created before it is posted back. How do I get the javascript to execute before the postback? Currently, I have to press the button twice because the element doesn't exist to write too on the first click. To be clear, I need this to execute before the "OnClick" of the button. Update: It looks like the Javascript function is called before the postback but the element is not updated until I run the second postback. Hmm Update: Unfortunately it is a bit more complicated then this. I'm creating a div tag in javascript to open a new window. Inside the div tag, I'm using a databinding syntax <%=Preview% so that I can get access to this element on the server side. From the server side, I'm injecting the code. I'm thinking this may be a chicken-egg problem but not sure. UPDATE! It is not the Javascript not running first. It is the databinding mechanism which is reading the blank variable before I'm able to set it. Hmm

    One of the strength of Unity are the various standardized indicators. I want to customize the sound indicator with an additional menu entry that runs a small shell script. I'm not afraid of a little Python code and I hope someone can point me to the right subroutine in the right file. I suspect that will be fairly easy but all the indicators are just so bloated that I can't look through their code in a reasonable time. Any help is appreciated.   • What is the best practice for reading a large number of custom settings from a text file?

    So I have been looking through some code I wrote a few years ago for an economic simulation program. Each simulation has a large number of settings that can be saved to a file and later loaded back into the program to re-run the same/similar simulation. Some of the settings are optional or depend on what is being simulated. The code to read back the parameters is basically one very large switch statement (with a few nested switch statements). I was wondering if there is a better way to handle this situation. One line of the settings file might look like this: #RA:1,MT:DiscriminatoryPriceKDoubleAuction,OF:Demo Output.csv,QM:100,NT:5000,KP:0.5 //continues... In this case I'm looking to extract complex pattern within a string, but any implementation of a custom VBA function that expose support of regex within the function itself would be of use. Now at a first time only link button and horizontal will be visible, and textboxes which is bellowed to link button will not be visible. Now if user will click on the link button then textboxes which is bellowed to link button will be visible. Then horizontal line which is at the first time bellowed to the link button should be adjust to its location and should go after textboxes. And if user clicks to link button again then textboxes should be visible false. And horizontal line should be displayed its original position that is bellowed to the link button. Of course I am able to do with visibility of textboxes but I can not understand how to change the position of the horizontal line dynamically?

  • Making IE "forget" information entered in form when using back button.

    I have a page with a form where many of the fields are populated from variables passed in the URL. Those fields are disabled (NON-EDITABLE) and are only there for the user to view. The remaining fields require user input and are NOT disabled (EDITABLE). When the form is submitted a confirmation page comes up. It may be the case that the user needs to submit several of these forms where the NON-EDITABLE information is identical from form to form, so being able to go back to the form page from the confirmation page would save a lot of time. The way I want this to work is when a user presses the back button all the NON-EDITABLE fields are populated, but the EDITABLE fields are blank. This is what Firefox is doing, but IE8 is does not "forget" what has been entered in the EDITABLE fields. To disable the cache the following appears at the beginning of my page AND at the end of my page. <head> <meta http-equiv="Pragma" content="no-cache"/> <meta http-equiv="Cache-Control" content="no-store"/> <head/> What more must I do to make IE forget what was entered in the EDITABLE fields when the back button is pressed? All of my pages are generated with PHP if that matters. EDIT: It appears to me that this is a problem of IE caching my page even though I have told it not to. Are my meta tags correct? Do I need to do something else to prevent IE from caching my page?
