  I can't seem to get either EmptyDataTemplate or EmptyDataText of a GridView to work. I'm fetching the GridView contents in de codebehind and attaching them with using DataBind(). I've tried having them as null and as an empty List, and in both cases the text I put into EmptyDataTemplate or EmptyDataText is not displayed. What am I doing wrong?

  I know the process id of an application in Mac OS X. How can I switch to it (using applescript, or python, or whatever)? By "switch", I mean, put in focus. The usual solution is to use the applescript code tell application "Foo" activate, but here the name is not useful because I have many instances of the same application running. I am however able to get the process id of the application. How can I switch to this application programmatically?

For example, say I want to replace the standard printf function with something new, I can write my own version and compile it into a shared library, then put "LD_PRELOAD=/my/library.so" in the environment before running my executable.   I am using the Mac OS X Apple Script Editor and (while debugging) instead of writing a lot of display dialog statements, I'd like to write the results of some calculation in the window below, called "Result" (I have the German UI here, so the translation is a guess).
