  Hi! Im trying to call some windows forms code (like setting label.visible = true in some event code, everything compiles ok, but form does not react to change! What could be the problem?   My app uses a WebView, and users sometimes adjust the zoom level to make the text larger. However the zoom level setting is lost when the Activity is closed and another one started. I can't see how to get and set the zoom level programatically on WebView, can anyone suggest a way this could be done?

I don't care about the response, I just want to do something like file_get_contents(), but not wait on the request to finish before executing the rest of my code.   Hi, I have a webservice, in which I read the settings saved in an xml file. I read the setting by the following command: string dpath = HttpContext.Current.Request.PhysicalApplicationPath.ToString(); XmlTextReader reader = new XmlTextReader(dpath + "Settings.xml"); This is working perfectly when running the application on the localhost, but when I publish the webserver I am getting an error, most probably because the settings are not being loaded.   When using mod_deflate in Apache2, Apache will chunk gzipped content, setting the Transfer-encoding: chunked header. While this results in a faster download time, I cannot display a progress bar. If I handle the compression myself in PHP, I can gzip it completely first and set the Content-length header, so that I can display a progress bar to the user. Is there any way to change Apache's behavior, and have Apache set a Content-length header instead of chunking the response, so that I don't have to handle the compression myself?

• CSS - IE7 weirdness - When I set the opacity of an element, I lose the margin of a sibling element.

  When I set the opacity of an element ( filter:alpha(opacity=50); ) then the margin of the element to the right of it goes to 0, and butts right up against the element for some reason. This doesn't happen when setting opacity on firefox or chrome, but does happen on IE7. Anyone know how to fix this?

• Troubles with a PHP session variable after form submission

  Hello, I'm setting a PHP session variable with a success message for a HTML form that I'm submitting. If there are no form errors, I redirect to the same page (using header()) and display the message from the session variable. Everything is fine until here, but if I access that page again after submission, the message is still there. Is it possible to make it appear only when I redirect after a successful submit?   hi the win mobile 6 code tries to write files on network shared folder, but always gets UnauthorizedAccessException. I have checked permission and security setting on the folder and the code can read the file but just cant write to it. The code runs under administrator account which has full control over the folder and files. It is in vs 2008 professional with device emulator.Any help please? thanks very much.

I have tried this but I get the following error: The DefaultButton of 'pnlTmp' must be the ID of a control of type IButtonControl. I have also tried setting the panels DefaultButton this way : pnlTmp.DefaultButton = btnContinue.UniqueID This gave me the same error. Any help would be great.

• Good article about File- and Folder Permissions on production server?

  I have a classifieds website, and users may post classifieds, add images, remove classifieds etc etc... I have no idea what to set the permissions to on folders. For instance, a php script which I have uploads a file to a directory. What would you have set the directory permissions to? Nobody need access to the directory, only the php script...   Hey there, I have a situation where my page loads some information from a database, which is then modified through AJAX. I click a link to another page, then use the 'back' button to return to the original page. The changes to the page through AJAX I made before don't appear, because the browser has the unchanged page stored in the cache. Is there a way of fixing this without setting the page not to cache at all? Thanks :)
