  • Trying to connect to QuickBooks via Web Connect in asp.net

    I don't know if any of you have had experience with QuickBooks integration, but I have to try :) I downloaded QuickBooks Free Simple Start, Quickbooks Web Connector and Web Service sample code ... I've read Web Connector manual and followed instructions but, when using authenticate function, I always get error "nvu", meaning that username or password are not valid. Following instructions, I added this QWC file to QBWC: <?xml version="1.0"?> <QBWCXML> <AppName>My application</AppName> <AppID></AppID> <AppURL>http://localhost/QBWC/Service1.asmx</AppURL> <AppDescription>My application web service</AppDescription> <AppSupport>http://localhost/QBWC/Service1.asmx?wsdl</AppSupport> <OwnerID>{87EDAAF8-637E-4203-867F-4BA79C2F8998}</OwnerID> <FileID>{CA1C3EB8-1B61-4747-A743-8D5B438B83AC}</FileID> <UserName>test</UserName> <QBType>QBFS</QBType> <Style>Document</Style> <AuthFlags>0xF</AuthFlags> </QBWCXML> After adding this this file to QBWC, I also added password "1234". After that, I opened my web service: http://localhost/WCWebService/WCWebService.asmx?op=authenticate and in field "strUserName" entered "test", in field "strPassword" entered: "1234". But "nvu" is always returned as a result. If someone is familiar with this I would appreciate for help!

    I am programming in Java I have the code as: byte[] b = test.getBytes(); In the api it is specified that if we do not specify character encoding it takes the default platform character encoding. What is meant by "default platform character encoding" ? Does it mean the Java encoding or the OS encoding ? If it means OS encoding the how can i check the default character encoding of Windows and Linux ? Is there anyway we can get the default character encoding using command line ?

I know -- Static method can call another static method simply by its name within same class. Static method can call another non staic method of same class only after creating instance of the class. Non static method can call another static method of same class simply by way of classname.methodname - No sure if this correct ? My Question is about non static method call to another non staic method of same class. In class declaration, when we declare all methods, can we call another non static method of same class from a non static class ? Please explain with example. Thank you.

    While trying to encrypt a given input using Elliptic Curve Cryptography in Java I'm using the following algorithms for generating the cipher and the key: KeyPairGenerator g = KeyPairGenerator.getInstance("ECDSA"); Cipher cipher = Cipher.getInstance("ECIES"); Now as expected, the cipher isn't accepting the keys generated by the ECDSA algorithm. I get the error as - must be passed IE key. I searched for the ciphers being supported by these 2 methods here: http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/guides/security/StandardNames.html#Cipher Unfortunately no else algo is supported for ECC. Has anyone used ECC generated keys to encrypt/decrypt an input? Which algo should I use for both so that they don't clash with each other?

  • android app working on simulator but not on phone

    i have this app that i developed and it works great on the simulator with no errors what so ever. but the moment i try to run the same on the phone for testing, the app crashes stating filenotfoundexception. it says the file /res/drawable/divider_horizontal.9.png is missing. but actually speaking, i have never referenced that file through my code. i believe its a system/os file that is unavailable. i have a custom list view, i guess its the divider there... could somebody please suggest what is wrong here. i believe this is a similar issue discussed here..but i am unable to make     I am getting an error message when I try to invoke java weblogic.WLST monitor.py weblogic weblogic1 t3://localhost:7001 from below mentioned path. C:\Users\satish>java weblogic.WLST monitor.py weblogic weblogic1 t3://127.0.0.1:7001 error Error: Could not find or load main class weblogic.WLST But when I invoke the same command from weblogic home I am not getting any issues. Requesting you to help regarding this. Please find the below class path: C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\server\bin>setWLSEnv.cmd Error: Could not find or load main class weblogic.WLST Note: I already set class path.     Hi Folks, I have an application with client server architecture. The client use Java Web Start with Java Swing / AWT and the sert uses HTTP server / Servlet with Tomcat. The communication is made from the serialization of objects, create a ObjectOutput serializes a byte array and send to the server respectively called the ObjectInputStream and deserializes. The application follows communicating correctly to a certain time of concurrency where starting to show error "SocketException read timeout". The erro happens when the server invoke the method ObjectInputStream.getObject() in my servlet doPost method. The tomcat will come slow and the errors start to decrease server response time until the crash time where i must restart the server and after everything works. Someone went through this problem ?

  • Building an XML editor in java and RichFaces

    Hello I'm building an XML editor using the above technologies. In essence, I want to read in a whole XML file to a java object, and refer using this object to each element in the XML node tree (grouped into entries) to display the content locked, have separate padlocks for the user to click to 'unlock' an entry allow overwriting of the data, and to submit this entry. 'Add entry', 'Duplicate entry', 'Delete entry' are also functions I'd like to add. I already use dom4j and XPath to access areas of the XML file so some of the work in theory is already done. Given the above, I was going to use these two together with inplaceInputs to allow the user to edit the XML and JSF validators to check the data coming in. Is this the best way to approach this problem, or is there a more straightforward route than XPathing a whole record? I started looking at jaxb but I'm new at java and jsf but I've got the feeling I won't be by the end.. Thanks

    Hi all, I tried sample example given at this link - Collection View Programming Guide It is simple and it worked. Considering it as a reference I tried a simple application which will show a collection view of web views with some web page displayed over each web view. The model class has two properties: NSString *pageName, and NSURL *pageURL. I then followed each and every step written in tutorial above with required modifications but I was caught in the step - How to bind web view to collection view item? In binding tab it shows three possibilities : Editable, Hidden, Tool tip but none of these is working. Can anyone suggest me way to accomplish my requirement? Thanks, Miraaj

    Hi. I am maintaining some Java code that I am currently converting to C#. The Java code is doing this: sendString(somedata + '\000'); And in C# I am trying to do the same: sendString(somedata + '\000'); But on the '\000' VS2010 tells me that "Too many characters in character literal". How can I use '\000' in C#? I have tried to find out what the character is, but it seems to be " " or some kind of newline-character. Do you know anything about the issue? Thanks!

I know this is possible in C++ with overloading, but I can't find a way in Java. I want to just be able to type: doSomething(myBarSet); And the compiler knows to automatically call barTOfoo()

I have implemented the custom binding class as indicated in this KB article: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms734745.aspx The problem seems to have to do with the security assertion used by the web service - UsernameOverTransport. When I attempt to call a method, I get the following exception: System.InvalidOperationException: The 'WseHttpBinding'.'[namespace]' binding for the 'MyWebServiceSoap'.'[namespace]' contract is configured with an authentication mode that requires transport level integrity and confidentiality. However the transport cannot provide integrity and confidentiality.. It is expecting a username, password, and CN number. In the example code supplied to us by the vendor, these credentials are bundled in a Microsoft.Web.Services3.Security.Tokens.UsernameToken. Here's the example supplied by the vendor: MyWebServiceWse proxy = new MyWebServiceWse(); UsernameToken token = new UsernameToken("Username", "password", PasswordOption.SendPlainText); token.Id = "<supplied CN Number>"; proxy.SetClientCredential(token); proxy.SetPolicy(new Policy(new UsernameOverTransportAssertion(), new RequireActionHeaderAssertion())); MyObject mo = proxy.MyMethod(); This works fine from a 2.0 app w/ WSE 3.0 installed. Here is a snippet of the code from my WCF client: EndpointAddress address = new EndpointAddress(new Uri("<web service uri here>")); WseHttpBinding binding = new WseHttpBinding(); // This is the custom binding I created per the MS KB article binding.SecurityAssertion = WseSecurityAssertion.UsernameOverTransport; binding.EstablishSecurityContext = false; // Not sure about the value of either of these next two binding.RequireDerivedKeys = true; binding.MessageProtectionOrder = MessageProtectionOrder.SignBeforeEncrypt; MembershipServiceSoapClient proxy = new MembershipServiceSoapClient(binding, address); // This is where I believe the problem lies – I can’t seem to properly setup the security credentials the web service is expecting proxy.ClientCredentials.UserName.UserName = "username"; proxy.ClientCredentials.UserName.Password = "pwd"; // How do I supply the CN number? MyObject mo = proxy.MyMethod(); // this throws the exception I've scoured the web looking for an answer to this question. Some sources get me close (like the MS KB article), but I can't seem to get over the hump. Can someone help me out?

  • storing user info/pass in web.config authentication

    Hello, I am trying to write a simple internal app with some simple authentication. I'm also trying to make this quick and learn about the forms authentication via web.config. So i have my authentication working if I hard code my 'user name' and 'password' into C# code and do a simple conditional. However, I'm having a tough time storing the a user/pass to be checked against in the web.config file. The MSDN manual says to put this into the web.config: <authentication mode="Forms"> <forms loginUrl="login.aspx"> <credentials passwordFormat="SHA1"> <user name="user1" password="27CE4CA7FBF00685AF2F617E3F5BBCAFF7B7403C" /> <user name="user2" password="D108F80936F78DFDD333141EBC985B0233A30C7A" /> <user name="user3" password="7BDB09781A3F23885CD43177C0508B375CB1B7E9"/> </credentials> </forms> </authentication> However, the minute I add 'credentials' into the 'authentication' section, I get this error: Server Error in '/' Application. Configuration Error Description: An error occurred during the processing of a configuration file required to service this request. Please review the specific error details below and modify your configuration file appropriately. Parser Error Message: Unrecognized element 'credentials'.
