Hi,
I have an ordered list in HTML.
I would like to add styling only to the numbers (1,2,3,...), and not to the list items themselves.
Is there a way to refer to these numbers ?
Thanks !
Hi,
I'm working on a site that in some of its forms , a specific language is needed to be used. (sth like a Dictionary).I want to know if there is a Tag in Javascript/Html that i can check the language?for example if i need the input in japanese and user gave me an English word,it finds out and gives an error.
I need to hide a column as well as other elements when my page is printed , and in order to do that I have a print style sheet, everything works fine, except for the column I want to make disappear, the strange thing is that my stylesheet works in IE , but it didn't in Mozilla and chrome, why's that?
Html code
<col width="10%" class="art-editcolumn"/>
and here's the CSS class:
.art-editcolumn
{
display: none;
}
Hope you can help me out with this.
Hello,
I've to create a static web site, only .html files.
Each page will have the same layout.
I need a kind of template engine or a tool to generate about 200pages with minimal efforts...
only the body of the page will be different
Any ideas?
Thanks
I have HTML content stored in a variable. How do I extract data that is found between a set of common tags in the page? For example, I am interested in the data (represented by DATA kept between a set of tags which one line after the other:
...
<td class="jumlah">*DATA*</td>
<td class="ud"><a href="">*DATA*</a></td>
...
I have a stack of divs inside of each other, all of which have an ID which specifies CSS only.
But for some reason the surrounding DIV tag only expands to it's anointed height value, and not it's default auto, meaning that although the content is inside, the backing DIV is only a specific height. I need it to adjust the heigh to the size of whatever is inside of it (As there will be user submitted data being echoed out possibly in paragraphs with 500+ words.)
Here is my HTML
<div id="albumhold">
<div id="albumpic">Pic here</div>
<div id="infohold">
<div id="albumhead">Name | Date</div>
<div id="albuminfo">Information</div>
</div>
And the CSS for the HTML code:
#albumhold {
width: 920px;
padding: 10px;
height: auto;
border: 1px solid #E1E1E1;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
background-color: #E1E1E1;
background-image: url(../global-images/albumback.png);
background-position: top center;
background-repeat: repeat-x;
}
#albumpic {
display: block;
height: 110px;
width: 110px;
float: left;
border: 1px solid #000;
}
#infohold {
width: 800px;
background-color: #CCC;
float: right;
height: 20px;
}
#albumhead {
width: 800px;
height: 20px;
text-indent: 10px;
border: 1px solid #000;
color: #09F;
}
#albuminfo {
margin-top: 5px;
width: 800px;
float: right;
color: #09F;
word-wrap:break-word;
}
Help is greatly appreciated.
So I was looking at the facebook HTML with firebug, and I chanced upon this image
and came to the conclusion that facebook uses this large image (with tricky image positioning code) rather than many small ones for its graphical elements. Is this more efficient than storing many small images?
Can anybody give any clues as to why facebook would do this.
hi when i write css or html i found that i want add two name like this

I have a form with a lot of fields. I want it to be neat and easy to use. I found this site that theorizes about an updated e-bay registration form and I liked what e-bay was doing.
So... what html/css do I need to get a form to look like the form on the right:
I have created a html page in php and upon submission i validates that page using PHP. After validating i want to show an alert msg to show its status like showing any greeting or request for re-enter.
I have dont validation. Now i m using
header( 'Location: http://localhost/assignment/WebForm.htm' ) ;
to redirect user to same page but with a alert msg at page load or something like that. What I need to do ?
I want all .jpg links to have a certain background image. so a link on a page like 'http://mysite/myimage.jpg' would automatically be prefixed with a small icon. Actually all links to images, ie .gif .png as well with the same icon. If the link is to a website, ie .htm/.php/.html/.asp it should have a different image. I want it to be through classes in CSS. Any help appreciated. TIA

what is the problem? how to solve
This is already defined in
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
I have seen many websites triggering a file save-as dialog on a page with existing HTML content. How do they do this?
I know about setting the right headers such as Content-disposition etc. but when I do that, the content of the page does not load, and immediately the file download is triggered...
msg = EmailMessage(subject, body, from_email, [to_email])
msg.content_subtype = "html"
msg.send()
This is how I send an email in Django.
But what if I want to open a text file and take into account all its line breaks and tabs. I want to take the body of the text file (with line breaks \n) and email it as text of the "body".
There is a page with drop-down menu "Products" overlapped by next content in IE.
It works fine under Gecko or Webkit browsers.

z-index property makes no sence.
I have no solutions yet.
Thanx in advance
If you have an HTML page with a class in an element, for instance <div class="myClass"> would it be best to refer to it in the CSS as .myClass or div.myClass?
Thanks in advance!

With a long but plain html document opened on a mobile device (webkit), how do I ensure that text doesn't crop vertically when scrolling?
I think this should be possible by either adjusting line spacing or adding extra padding.
TIA.
A friend is wanting me to help her convert her flash based website to html. She has an embedded textbox with a scrollbar that is using a flower instead of a normal scrollbar.
Avoiding the obvious question of why a user would want a non-standard element to do this task, is it possible to do this without flash?
I have a form on my website.
When this form is filled out, it is then validated by a javascript validation function.
At the bottom of this function I have this piece of code:
window.location="../index.html";
This wont work on Chrome, but does work in Firefox.
My Q is, how can I make this simple redirect work on all (most) browsers?
Thanks
Hi,
I'm trying to implement the danvk draggable table javascript, and while I've been successful using it for tables actually in the html source, when I try to use it with tables I'm creating in javascript code, it isn't applied to those tables.
Has anyone had the same issue?
Many thanks.
Hello all,
I am trying to raise a click event on a submit button in a html form.
I use the .click() jquery to catch the click event and return true at the end of the function.
When I click on the submit button, the jquery functions are raised and a callback is executed, but the $_POST array is empty.
How can I fix this?
