    I'm trying to learn PHP and I wish to know if there are some function equivalence constructs: In JS I can do: var t = function() {}; t(); myObj.DoStuff = function() {} // here I add a method at run-time myObj.DoStuff(); myObj["DoStuff"](); var j = myObj.DoStuff; j(); and so other things with function evaluation. In Js objects are associative arrays so every properties is accessible with the subscript notation... Can I add a method at run-time to a class template so next its object instances can have it? In JS I can do that via a prototype function property.

    Our buildserver compiles and runs testsuites for many different c++ programs. From time to time the programs are buggy, and can crash. When they crash, Windows7 will always throw this modal dialog: Which has to be clicked away by a human being, causing the buildserver to sit idle. Is there a way to at a system level prevent this from happening? I know I can do it from within the process itself, but I'd love to be able to do it across the entire system.

  • Statically Compiled Oracle Client Drivers/Code

    Hello, I'm looking to write a command-line program that can execute database scripts against an Oracle server, however the machine the program will be run on may not have an Oracle client installed on it. I also don't want to rely on a language that requires a VM as there's no guarantee that the VM will be installed, so a language like C is preferable for this. Is there a way that I can statically compile/build this program and not have to have the user install the Oracle client on that machine? I'm trying to be as unobtrusive as possible. Thanks.

Any ideas, why? Thank you. Edit: OK, Got it: This function returns the volume serial number that the operating system assigns when a hard disk is formatted. To programmatically obtain the hard disk's serial number that the manufacturer assigns, use the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) Win32_PhysicalMedia property SerialNumber. I should do more research before posting my problems online. Sorry to bother you, let's keep this here in case anybody else can need it.

  • WPF RadioButton selected in UI, but seen by code as IsChecked == false

    I have some radio buttons in a group box. I select the buttons randomly, and all works perfectly from a visual standpoint and also the event handler is called each time a new button is selected. Now I have a dependency property with a callback when the value changes. When in this callback procedure I read the IsChecked value of any button, the value is False, in spite the button is visually selected (they are all false at the same time, strange). The debugger also displays all buttons unchecked.     I would like to take a file that is an IL file, and at run time compile it back to an exe. Right now I can use process.start to fire off the command line with parameters (ilasm.exe) but I would like to automate this process from a C# service I will create. Is there a way to do this with reflection and reflection.emit?     I can perfectly call a WCF web method from localhost. I published to this server: http://luiscarlosch.com/WebFormClean.aspx (only firefox or chrome) with the Visual Studio publishing tool and it works fine. The problem is when a try to access it from another computer. I get the 405: Method Not Allowed. But It doest make sense because It works fine when i access it remotely from the publisher computer as I said. Any idea?   • Why does Module::Build's testcover gives me "use of uninitialized value" warnings?

    I'm kinda new to Module::Build, so maybe I did something wrong. Am I the only one who gets warnings when I change my dispatch from "test" to "testcover"? Is there a bug in Devel::Cover? Is there a bug in Module::Build? I probably just did something wrong. I'm using ActiveState Perl v5.10.0 with Module::Build version 0.31012 and Devel::Cover 0.64 and Eclipse 3.4.1 with EPIC 0.6.34 for my IDE. UPDATE: I upgraded to Module::Build 0.34 and the warnings are still output. *UPDATE: Looks like a bug in B::Deparse.     I just found out, that it seems a common pattern to user UpperFirstLetterPascalCase() for private methods. I for myself, find this completely inconsistent with naming rules of private instance fields and variables and I find it difficult to read/debug, too. I would want to ask, why using a first upper letter for methods could be a better choice than a first lower (doThis())? Just out of curiosity...

  • Executing certain code for every method call in C++

    I have a C++ class I want to inspect. So, I would like to all methods print their parameters and the return, just before getting out. The latter looks somewhat easy. If I do return() for everything, a macro #define return(a) cout << (a) << endl; return (a) would do it (might be wrong) if I padronize all returns to parenthesized (or whatever this may be called). If I want to take this out, just comment out the define. However, printing inputs seems more difficult. Is there a way I can do it, using C++ structures or with a workaroud hack?

Actually, the feature has been implemented in other AP before, you just need to copy and paste codes from there. The cost should be low.
