    Is there any reason why the asterisk is next to the object type in this code? I'm a little confused by the way I see this used.     When an external JavaScript file is referenced, <script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery-1.4.4.min.js"></script> is the JavaScript source (lines of code before interpretation) available from the DOM or window context in the current HTML page? I mean by using only standard JavaScript without any installed components or tools. I know tools like Firebug trace into external source but it's installed on the platform and likely has special ability outside the context of the browser sandbox.

In child activity i have put something like that in onPause(): if (isFinishing()) { final Intent intent = new Intent(); intent.putExtra(SOME_DATA, value); setResult(RESULT_OK, intent); Log.i("test", "Result set to RESULT_OK"); } In parent activity i check resultCode when child activity is destroyed, and this is what i have noticed: If i destroy child activity by some action (in some condition i invoke finish()), then resultCode is RESULT_OK But when i destroy by pressing return key (i works only in emulator so its ESC) who kills activity, then resultCode read in parent onActivityResult method equals 0 (RESULT_CANCELD). "test" log read in each case is the same.

    Could someone explain to me what should two following lines do: s.httpheaderline[s.httpheaderlineptr] = *(char *)uip_appdata; ++((char *)uip_appdata); This is taken from uIP code for microcontrollers. s - structure httpheaderline - http packet presented as a string httpheadrlineptr - integer value uip_appdata - received ethernet packet (string) If some more info is needed please let me know. BTW. Eclipse is reporting an error on the second line with message Invalid lvalue in increment so i'm trying to figure out how to solve this.

  • Problem while compiling the code

    Can someone points me the problem in the code when compiled with gcc 4.1.0. #define X 10 int main() { double a = 1e-X; return 0; } I am getting error:Exponent has no digits. When i replace X with 10, it works fine. Also i checked with g++ -E command to see the file with preprocessors applied, it has not replaced X with 10. I was under the impression that preprocessor replaces every macro defined in the file with the replacement text with applying any intelligence. Am I wrong? I know this is a really silly question but I am confused and I would rather be silly than confused :). Any comments/suggestions.
