• Jquery Slider PNG black borders IE8

  Greetings, I'm having a lot of trouble with the IE8 buy of getting black borders when using a JQUERY slider, with PNG transparent images. Using a slightly modified version of the Nivio slider. I have searched high and low for fixes and blocks of code but so far none have worked. What happens is that as soon as the img cycles it gets the black border and looks like shit (only in IE8). Does anyone know a working fix for this? Or do we just have to ban IE from all computers?

  I am using replaceWith for input type=file to handle changes of the file the user wants to upload.   Hi all, I am using jquery-ui and at some point I use the show and hide functions quite heavily to animate changing images coming in and out. From some reason, after a few tries all of a sudden the controls on my page stop responding to clicks. After a bit of poking arround using firebug I discovered my page is filled with div's of the class ui-effects-wrapper. I have no idea why this happens or how to stop it. If I remove these divs I can no longer see the images I've been animating. Any ideas?

  I'm wondering if anyone knows of a script/plugin, jquery-based or otherwise, which could be used to achive the effect that can be found on CNN.com. I'm talking about the videos that are representet by a small thumbnail, that when clicked expands in to the text and plays. I'm by no means a JS-guru, and me and flash isn't the bestest of friends, but I'm not completly cluess. • Is it possible to set different select2 parameters at different times?

  From playing around I can see that this code $("#Selected3").select2({ minimumInputLength: 3 }); $("#Selected3").select2({ placeholder: "Show a placeholder" }); will show me the placeholder but remove the minimumInputLength parameters value. Does anyone know a way please that this example could be modified so that the placeholder will be added without losing the minimum..Length value. Any answers will need to allow for the possibility of the statements being in separate files, i.e. one on the page and another in a referenced .js file. I am aware that this would be much easier if I set all the parameters at once, e.g. $("#Selected3").select2({ minimumInputLength: 3, placeholder: "Show a placeholder" }); but I am working within a framework which won't currently allow that.   I need to replace some text that is on the page within the body tag. I am using javascript but have jquery available if needed. I basically need to replace test® (test with the registered trademark) with TEST® or tests® with TESTS® and it could even be test with TEST® or tests with TESTS®. I am able to uppercase them but its not liking to work for me with the ® sign, it wants to put duplicates on ones that already have it. Basically anything on the page that has the word test or tests should be TEST® or TESTS® if it is plural. Any help is appreciated.
