• Likewise: joined Active Directory but cannot write shares.

    - by Aron Rotteveel
I have never used a Linux system in an AD environment before and am trying to join my laptop running Ubuntu to join our Active Directory (DC is a Windows Server 2008 machine) using Likewise-open. Using the GUI wizard, I have joined the domain. I can mount network shares using CIFS Problem: I only have read access to our fileserver. What more is needed to get the AD to recognize me as a user who has the appropriate rights? Any help is appreciated.

  • SSH connection via USB to iPhone

    - by Albert
Hi, I want to connect to the SSH server on my jailbreaked iPhone via the USB connection (because that connection is much faster than WLAN) from MacOSX. Right now I am using this: http://novis.jimdo.com/2009/10/18/ssh-relay-aka-iphone-tunnel-version-3/ However, this is really buggy and always breaks when I am transfering a lot of data. Does anyone know a better solution? Preferable one that is free.

  • I don't understand how work call_once

    - by SABROG
    Please help me understand how work call_once Here is thread-safe code. I don't understand why this need Thread Local Storage and global_epoch variables. Variable _fast_pthread_once_per_thread_epoch can be changed to constant/enum like {FAST_PTHREAD_ONCE_INIT, BEING_INITIALIZED, FINISH_INITIALIZED}. Why needed count calls in global_epoch? I think this code can be rewriting with logc: if flag FINISH_INITIALIZED do nothing, else go to block with mutexes and this all. #ifndef FAST_PTHREAD_ONCE_H #define FAST_PTHREAD_ONCE_H #include #include typedef sig_atomic_t fast_pthread_once_t; #define FAST_PTHREAD_ONCE_INIT SIG_ATOMIC_MAX extern __thread fast_pthread_once_t _fast_pthread_once_per_thread_epoch; #ifdef __cplusplus extern "C" { #endif extern void fast_pthread_once( pthread_once_t *once, void (*func)(void) ); inline static void fast_pthread_once_inline( fast_pthread_once_t *once, void (*func)(void) ) { fast_pthread_once_t x = *once; /* unprotected access */ if ( x _fast_pthread_once_per_thread_epoch ) { fast_pthread_once( once, func ); } } #ifdef __cplusplus } #endif #endif FAST_PTHREAD_ONCE_H Source fast_pthread_once.c The source is written in C. • Internet Explorer 8 remembering me (keeping cookies) in "New Session"

    - by GJ
From what I gather (e.g. http://tutorialfeed.blogspot.com/2009/06/ie-8-perk-access-multiple-gmail.html ) one can get a new IE8 window clean from older cookies and independent of what's going on in other windows. Alas, when I try that web sites still remember me in the window of the new session. Any ideas what's wrong in my setup? Thanks!

  • 64-bit linux kernel only seeing 3 of 4GB after upgrade...

    - by Blaine
    Hey everyone. I am running Ubuntu 9.04 64-bit on my macbook. I had 2GB of ram before, and everything ran great. I just upgraded to 2x2GB (4GB), but my system only sees 3GB of it. OS X, which I am dual booting, sees all 4GB. Also, my video performance is incredibly lacking. Before the upgrade my compiz benchmark was full at 80fps, and now it is at 22fps with very choppy window dragging. Has anyone ever heard of this on a 64-bit kernel? I just don't quite understand what could be the issue. 10$ uname -a Linux macbook 2.6.28-15-generic #49-Ubuntu SMP Tue Aug 18 19:25:34 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux $ free -m total used free shared buffers cached Mem: 2953 1031 1921 0 114 427 -/+ buffers/cache: 489 2463 Swap: 7812 0 7812 9$ lsmod Module Size Used by i915 77960 2 drm 123232 3 i915 binfmt_misc 18572 1 ppdev 16904 0 btusb 21784 2 bridge 63776 0 stp 11140 1 bridge bnep 22912 2 vboxnetadp 109356 0 vboxnetflt 116972 0 vboxdrv 1721612 1 vboxnetflt uvcvideo 69640 0 compat_ioctl32 18304 1 uvcvideo videodev 45184 2 uvcvideo,compat_ioctl32 v4l1_compat 23940 2 uvcvideo,videodev lp 19588 0 parport 49584 2 ppdev,lp snd_hda_intel 557492 3 snd_pcm_oss 52352 0 snd_mixer_oss 24960 1 snd_pcm_oss snd_pcm 99464 2 snd_hda_intel,snd_pcm_oss arc4 10240 2 snd_seq_dummy 11524 0 ecb 11392 2 snd_seq_oss 41984 0 snd_seq_midi 15744 0 snd_rawmidi 33920 1 snd_seq_midi snd_seq_midi_event 16512 2 snd_seq_oss,snd_seq_midi snd_seq 66272 6 snd_seq_dummy,snd_seq_oss,snd_seq_midi,snd_seq_midi_event ath9k 310584 0 snd_timer 34064 2 snd_pcm,snd_seq snd_seq_device 16276 5 snd_seq_dummy,snd_seq_oss,snd_seq_midi,snd_rawmidi,snd_seq mac80211 251528 1 ath9k iTCO_wdt 21712 0 iTCO_vendor_support 12420 1 iTCO_wdt joydev 20992 0 video 29204 0 snd 78920 15 snd_hda_intel,snd_pcm_oss,snd_mixer_oss,snd_pcm,snd_seq_oss,snd_rawmidi,snd_seq,snd_timer,snd_seq_device applesmc 37700 0 output 11648 1 video soundcore 16800 1 snd pcspkr 11136 0 cfg80211 43680 1 mac80211 appletouch 19972 0 isight_firmware 11520 0 input_polldev 12688 1 applesmc intel_agp 39408 1 snd_page_alloc 18704 2 snd_hda_intel,snd_pcm led_class 13064 2 ath9k,applesmc hid_apple 15872 0 usbhid 47040 0 ohci1394 42164 0 ieee1394 108288 1 ohci1394 sky2 63364 0 fbcon 49792 0 tileblit 11264 1 fbcon font 17024 1 fbcon bitblit 14464 1 fbcon softcursor 10368 1 bitblit Some information from dmesg: [ 795.820163] ACPI: EC: GPE storm detected, transactions will use polling mode [ 1762.709516] [drm:i915_getparam] *ERROR* Unknown parameter 6 [ 1763.078130] [drm:i915_getparam] *ERROR* Unknown parameter 6 [ 2362.760889] [drm:i915_getparam] *ERROR* Unknown parameter 6 [ 2416.352084] ACPI: EC: missing confirmations, switch off interrupt mode. • Windows 8 with LiveID login authenticates as Guest to remote SQl Server

    - by Tim Long
I have a network where several users are using Office Accounting 2009 in multi-user client/server mode. OA is built on SQL Server. One PC acts as the 'server' and has the SQl Server instance, the others have only the application installed and no SQL instance, all of the apps connect remotely to the SQL instance on the 'server'. I'm using the term 'server' loosely here, it is just a normal workstation that happens to be designated as the server and runs the SQL instance. There is no NT domain, all user accounts are local accounts. The way that OA works in multi-user mode is that each user is required to have a local account with the same username and password on both the client and 'server' PCs. This has been working well, no along comes Windows 8. I use my 'Microsoft Account' aka LiveID to log into Windows 8. Office Accounting runs fine and attempts to connect to the database, but fails, 'you do not have permission to perform this operation'. In the SQL logs, I get this error: 2012-10-28 17:54:01.32 Logon Error: 18456, Severity: 14, State: 11. 2012-10-28 17:54:01.32 Logon Login failed for user 'SERVER\Guest'. Reason: Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure SERVER is the hostname of the server. So it seems to be authenticating as 'Guest'?? To verify this, I enabled the Guest account on the 'server' PC and then added Guest as an allowed user within Office Accounting (this simply creates the user in SQL and gives it an appropriate database role). Sure enough, My Windows 8 PC was then able to connect to the database when using Office Accounting. Clearly, having users authenticate as 'Guest' stinks from a security and auditing standpoint. So what I need are some ideas for how to work around this. I've tried switching the Windows 8 PC to a 'local account' and that works too, but requires giving up significant functionality on the Windows 8 PC. What I really need is a way to force the Windows 8 PC to use a specific set of credentials when connecting to the remote SQL instance. Office Accounting takes the logged in username, which is my LiveID and doesn't correspond to any Windows user name. Anyone solved this issue?

  • How to tell credentials used for a Network Mapping?

    - by shanecourtrille
I have a networking mapping that doesn't appear to work. When I connect to the mapping I get access denied when I try to create a folder. When I created the mapping I told it to login as another account. I have verified that account has the proper rights on the server side of things. How can I verify that my local machine is connecting with the right credentials?

  • Add elements to Arraylist and it replaces all previous elements in Java

    - by pie154
    I am adding elements to a ArrayList and it adds the first one correctly but then when I add any subsequent elements it wipes replaces the other elements with the value form the most recently added and adds a new element to the ArrayList. I ran test using arraylist and ints and even another created class and it worked perfectly but soemthing about the custon class i am using here causes problems. The code for the array list is public static void main(String args[]){ List<BasicEvent> list = new ArrayList<BasicEvent>(); list.add(new BasicEvent("Basic", "Door", 9, 4444, new Date(12,04,2010), new Time(12,04,21), 1, 0.98, 0)); list.add(new BasicEvent("Composite", "Door", 125, 4444, new Date(12,04,2010), new Time(12,04,20), 1, 0.98, 1)); list.add(new BasicEvent("Basic", "Door", 105, 88, new Date(12,04,2010), new Time(12,05,23), 1, 0.98, 0)); list.add(new BasicEvent("Basic", "Door", 125, 12, new Date(12,04,2010), new Time(12,05,28), 1, 0.98, 1)); list.add(new BasicEvent("Basic", "Door", 129, 25, new Date(12,04,2010), new Time(12,05,30), 1, 0.98, 0)); list.add(new BasicEvent("Basic", "Door", 125, 63, new Date(12,04,2010), new Time(12,04,20), 1, 0.98, 1)); list.add(new BasicEvent("Basic", "Detect", 127, 9, new Date(12,04,2010), new Time(12,05,29), 1, 0.98, -1)); for(int i=0;i<list.size();i++) {System.out.println("list a poition " + i + " is " + BasicEvent.basicToString(list.get(i)));} And the code for the custom class basicEvent is public class BasicEvent { public static String Level; public static String EType; public static double xPos; public static double yPos; public static Date date; public static Time time; public static double Rlb; public static double Sig; public static int Reserved; public BasicEvent(String L, String E, double X, double Y, Date D, Time T, double R, double S, int Res){ Level = L; EType = E; xPos = X; yPos = Y; date = D; time = T; Rlb = R; Sig = S; Reserved = Res; }; public static String basicToString(BasicEvent bse){ String out = bse.getLevel() + ";" + bse.getEtype() + ";" + bse.getxPos() + ";" + bse.getyPos() + ";" + bse.getDate().dateAsString() + ";" + bse.getTime().timeAsString() + ";" + bse.getRlb() + ";" + bse.getSig() + ";" + bse.getReserved(); return out; }

  • news feed using .Net Dataservices / OData / Atom ?

    - by Stephan
Let's say I have an web CMS type application, and an EDM model with an entity called 'article', and I need to offer the ability for client applications, to a read/query the articles (and other resources stored in our database) a straightforward syndication feed of these articles to end users (along the lines of a simple RSS feed) It seems to me that for the first task, and .net 4's dataservice would be perfect for the job. For the second case, I'm wondering (a) whether atom the right format to choose - I think it is - and (b) whether it's possible to achieve such a feed using the same ado.net OData service. I took a look at some of the examples out there and briefly set up a proof of concept: http://localhost/projectname/DataService.svc/Articles

Articles

<m:properties> <d:int_ContentID m:type="Edm.Int32">1</d:int_ContentID> <d:Titel>hello world</d:Titel> <d:Source>http://www.google.com</d:Source> </m:properties>

and noticed that, though the feed works and items are showing up, the title tag on the entry level is left blank. (as a result, when you check this feed in a feed reader, you will see no title). I searched msdn but haven't found a way to do that, but it should be possible. Stackoverflow itself uses an atom feed in that fashion, so it should be possible. Right? So I suppose my question is; Is there a way to make the ado.net dataservice Atom feed look like something suitable for your average news feed reader? - OR, am I using the wrong tool for the wrong purposes, and should I be looking elsewhere (.net syndication API's perhaps)?

  • How to modify IMM password from the default one?

Could not modify password: *** Provider OSBase_AccountProvider(21770) exiting due to a SIGSEGV signal Our question: How can we modify the default password to something else? • Can i openly speculate based on App rejection that the iPad has xxx MB of memory?

    - by GamingHorror
If i were to calculate the iPad's amount of RAM based on just the one fact that my iPad App got rejected due to memory warnings twice, and me fixing it, would this violate the developer NDA? Obviously i know how much memory my App uses, how much the iPhone OS is likely to use and estimate the amount reserved for video memory, then i can deduct from that that the iPad has xxx MB of memory. I just wonder if i can say that number publicly without violating any NDA?

  • SSL certificate for Oracle Application Server 11g

    - by Easter Sunshine
I was asked to get an SSL certificate for an "Oracle Application Server 11g" which has a soon-to-expire certificate. Brushing aside the fact that 10g seems to be the newest version, I got a certificate from InCommon, as I usually do without problem (except this is the first time I supplied Oracle Application Server 11g as the software type on the CSR form). On the email containing links to download the certificate, it mentioned: Certificate Details: SSL Type : InCommon SSL Server : OTHER I forwarded the email over to the person responsible for installing it and got a reply that the server type must be Oracle Application Server for the certificate to work (the CN is the same as before). They were unable to install this certificate (no details provided to me) and mentioned they had this issue previously with Thawte when they didn't supply Oracle Application Server as the server type. I don't see any significant difference between the currently installed certificate (working) and the new one I just got signed by InCommon (not working). $ openssl x509 -in sso-current.cer -text shows, with irrelevant information ommitted. • What are the default groups assigned to the first user in Ubuntu Server?

    - by Wayne Koorts
I just made a silly mistake on my Ubuntu Server box: I added myself to a group using usermod -G, after which I discovered the -a option... The result is that I am now out of the admin group, and lost my sudo rights. I can sort that out, but I want to know what other groups I may been removed from? My user was the first one so what I'm looking for is a list of groups that the first user gets added to at installation time.

  • Using IIS7 why are my PNGs being cached by the browser, but my JS and CSS files not?

    - by Craig Shearer
I am trying to sort out caching in IIS for my site. Basically, I want nothing cached, except for .png, .js, and .css files. At my site level, I opened the HTTP Reponse Headers and used the "Set Common Hedaers..." to set content to expire immediately. I have no Output Caching profiles set at any level in IIS. I clear my browser cache then try accessing my site. When my site requests a PNG file, I see responses like: Accept-Ranges bytes Age 0 Connection Keep-Alive Content-Type image/png Date Thu, 12 Apr 2012 21:55:15 GMT Etag "83b7322de318cd1:0" Last-Modified Thu, 12 Apr 2012 19:33:45 GMT Server Microsoft-IIS/7.5 X-Powered-By ASP.NET For JS and CSS files, I see responses like: Accept-Ranges bytes Cache-Control no-cache Connection Keep-Alive Content-Encoding gzip Content-Length 597 Content-Type text/css Date Thu, 12 Apr 2012 21:55:15 GMT Etag "06e45ede15bca1:0" Last-Modified Mon, 02 Nov 2009 17:28:44 GMT Server Microsoft-IIS/7.5 Vary Accept-Encoding X-Powered-By ASP.NET Accept-Ranges bytes Cache-Control no-cache Connection Keep-Alive Content-Encoding gzip Content-Length 42060 Content-Type application/x-javascript Date Thu, 12 Apr 2012 21:55:14 GMT Etag "2356302de318cd1:0" Last-Modified Thu, 12 Apr 2012 19:33:45 GMT Server Microsoft-IIS/7.5 Vary Accept-Encoding X-Powered-By ASP.NET So, why are my PNGs able to be cached, but JS and CSS files not? Then, I go into the Output Caching feature in IIS and set up profiles for .png, .css, and .js files. This updates the web.config file as follows: <caching> <profiles> <add extension=".png" policy="CacheUntilChange" kernelCachePolicy="DontCache" /> <add extension=".css" policy="CacheUntilChange" kernelCachePolicy="DontCache" /> <add extension=".js" policy="CacheUntilChange" kernelCachePolicy="DontCache" /> </profiles> </caching> I do a "precautionary" IISReset then try accessing my site again. For PNG files, I see the following response: Accept-Ranges bytes Age 0 Connection Keep-Alive Content-Length 3833 Content-Type image/png Date Thu, 12 Apr 2012 22:02:30 GMT Etag "0548c9e2c5dc81:0" Last-Modified Tue, 22 Jan 2008 19:26:00 GMT Server Microsoft-IIS/7.5 X-Powered-By ASP.NET For CSS and JS files, I see the following responses: Accept-Ranges bytes Cache-Control no-cache,no-cache Connection Keep-Alive Content-Encoding gzip Content-Length 2680 Content-Type application/x-javascript Date Thu, 12 Apr 2012 22:02:29 GMT Etag "0f743af9015c81:0" Last-Modified Tue, 23 Oct 2007 16:20:54 GMT Server Microsoft-IIS/7.5 Vary Accept-Encoding X-Powered-By ASP.NET Accept-Ranges bytes Cache-Control no-cache,no-cache Connection Keep-Alive Content-Encoding gzip Content-Length 3831 Content-Type text/css Date Thu, 12 Apr 2012 22:02:29 GMT Etag "c3f42d2de318cd1:0" Last-Modified Thu, 12 Apr 2012 19:33:45 GMT Server Microsoft-IIS/7.5 Vary Accept-Encoding X-Powered-By ASP.NET What am I doing wrong? Have I completely misunderstood the features of IIS, or is there a bug. Most importantly, how do I achieve what I want - that is get the browser to cache only PNG, JS and CSS files?

  • main vs initialize in Ruby

    - by Dave
Okay, so I've looked through a couple of my ruby books and done some googling to no avail. What is the difference between main and initialize in Ruby? I've seen code that uses class Blahblah def main some logic here end #more methods... end and then calls it using Blahblah.new. Isn't new reserved only for initialize? if not, then what's the difference between the two?

  • Can't connect to svnserve on localhost - connection actively refused

    - by RMorrisey
When I try to connect using Tortoise to my SVN server using: svn://localhost/ Tortoise tells me: "Can't connect to host 'localhost'. No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it." How can I fix this? I am trying to set up a subversion server on my local PC for personal use. I am running Windows Vista, with SlikSVN and TortoiseSVN installed. I previously had everything working correctly, but I found that I couldn't merge(!), apparently due to a version mismatch between the SVN client and server. Anyway... I now have the following setup: I created a repository using svnadmin create; it resides at C:\svnGrove C:\svnGrove\conf\svnserve.conf (# comments omitted): [general] anon-access=read auth-access=write password-db=passwd #authz-db=authz realm=svnGrove C:\svnGrove\conf\passwd: [users] myname=mypass My Subversion Server service is pointed to: C:\Program Files\SlikSvn\bin\svnserve.exe --service -r C:\svnGrove It shows the TCP/IP service as a dependency. I have also tried running svnserve from the command line, with similar results. The below is provided by the 'about' option in TortoiseSVN: TortoiseSVN 1.6.10, Build 19898 - 32 Bit , 2010/07/16 15:46:08 Subversion 1.6.12, apr 1.3.8 apr-utils 1.3.9 neon 0.29.3 OpenSSL 0.9.8o 01 Jun 2010 zlib 1.2.3 The following is from svn --version on the command line (not sure why it says CollabNet, CollabNet was the previous SVN binary that I had set up. The uninstaller failed to remove everything gracefully): svn, version 1.6.12 (SlikSvn/1.6.12) WIN32 compiled Jun 22 2010, 20:45:29 Copyright (C) 2000-2009 CollabNet. Subversion is open source software, see http://subversion.tigris.org/ This product includes software developed by CollabNet (http://www.Collab.Net/). The following repository access (RA) modules are available: * ra_neon : Module for accessing a repository via WebDAV protocol using Neon. - handles 'http' scheme - handles 'https' scheme * ra_svn : Module for accessing a repository using the svn network protocol. - with Cyrus SASL authentication - handles 'svn' scheme * ra_local : Module for accessing a repository on local disk. - handles 'file' scheme * ra_serf : Module for accessing a repository via WebDAV protocol using serf. - handles 'http' scheme - handles 'https' scheme I disabled my Windows Firewall and CA Internet Security, without success in resolving the issue. Edit The old version of svnserve was still set up as a service after the uninstall, pointed to this path: C:\Program Files\Subversion\svn-win32-1.4.6\bin I edited the registry key for the service to point to the new path (shown above). Whether I run svnserve as a service, or using -d, I do not see an entry for that port number in the listing generated by netstat -anp tcp.

  • Run R script from Powershell

    - by Derek
Hi, In old DOS script, I can run an R script with the following syntax: Rterm.exe --quiet --slave --vanilla < "C:\some_script.R" However, Powershell seems to have reserved "<" for future expansion. I am wondering if there is a direct way to run R script within another powershell script. Thanks

  • SCCM SP2 - OOB Management Certificates Problems

    - by Achinoam
Hi experts, I have a vPro client computer with AMT 4.0. It was importeed successfully via the Import OOB Computers wizard, and after sending a "Hello- packet" it became provisioned. (The SCCM GUI displays AMT Status: Provisioned). But when I try to perform power operations on this machine, they always fail with the following lines in the log: AMT Operation Worker: Wakes up to process instruction files 7/29/2009 10:59:29 AM 2176 (0x0880) AMT Operation Worker: Wait 20 seconds... 7/29/2009 10:59:29 AM 2176 (0x0880) Auto-worker Thread Pool: Work thread 3884 started 7/29/2009 10:59:29 AM 3884 (0x0F2C) session params : https:/ / amt4.domaindemo.com:16993 , 11001 7/29/2009 10:59:29 AM 3884 (0x0F2C) ERROR: Invoke(invoke) failed: 80020009argNum = 0 7/29/2009 10:59:31 AM 3884 (0x0F2C) Description: A security error occurred 7/29/2009 10:59:31 AM 3884 (0x0F2C) Error: Failed to Invoke CIM_BootConfigSetting::ChangeBootOrder_INPUT action. 7/29/2009 10:59:31 AM 3884 (0x0F2C) AMT Operation Worker: AMT machine amt4.domaindemo.com can't be waken up. What could be the reason for this failure? What is the problematic definition for the certificate? Thank you in advance!!!

  • hardening a server: disallow password-login for sudoers and log unusual ips

    - by Fabian Zeindl
Two question regarding sudo-login into an ubuntu-system (debian tips welcome as well): Is it possible to require sudoers on my box to only login with publickey-authentication? Is it possible to log which ip sudoers log in from and check that for "unusual activity" or take actions? I'm thinking about temporarily removing sudo-rights if sudoers don't log in from whitelisted IPs. Or is that too risky to be exploited?

  • Hot-swap drive got new name, can I change it on-the-fly?

    - by T.J. Crowder
One of the HDDs in my server's RAID config failed, so I took it out of the array and had the data center hot-swap it. They've done that, but now the new drive is /dev/sdc rather than /dev/sda. I suspect — correct me if I'm wrong — that if I reboot the server, it will be /dev/sda again, so I'm hesitant to add it back to the array as /dev/sdc because I don't want to lay a trap for myself to fall into on the next reboot. I'd just as soon not reboot the server if I don't need to (if I do need to, well, too bad for me). Is there a way I can change the device name from /dev/sdc to /dev/sda without rebooting? This is on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. It's an md array ("Linux Software RAID"), where currently one of the devices (there are a couple of them) looks like this ("degraded" because I've removed the old /dev/sda from it): # mdadm --detail /dev/md0 /dev/md0: Version : 00.90.03 Creation Time : Sun Oct 11 21:07:54 2009 Raid Level : raid1 Array Size : 97536 (95.27 MiB 99.88 MB) Used Dev Size : 97536 (95.27 MiB 99.88 MB) Raid Devices : 2 Total Devices : 1 Preferred Minor : 0 Persistence : Superblock is persistent Update Time : Thu Jun 30 09:31:16 2011 State : clean, degraded Active Devices : 1 Working Devices : 1 Failed Devices : 0 Spare Devices : 0 UUID : 496be7a5:ab9177ed:7792c71e:7dc17aa4 Events : 0.112 Number Major Minor RaidDevice State 0 8 17 0 active sync /dev/sdb1 1 0 0 1 removed Thanks, Update: Reading through the kernel md documentation, I suspect that if the name changes on reboot, it won't matter. (Good design, that.) Here's why: Boot time autodetection of RAID arrays When md is compiled into the kernel (not as module), partitions of type 0xfd are scanned and automatically assembled into RAID arrays. This autodetection may be suppressed with the kernel parameter "raid=noautodetect". As of kernel 2.6.9, only drives with a type 0 superblock can be autodetected and run at boot time. The kernel parameter "raid=partitionable" (or "raid=part") means that all auto-detected arrays are assembled as partitionable. I do have md compiled into the kernel, so I'm rebuilding the array now and will do the reboot to see what happens. Even if it works, the above doesn't answer the question I actually asked, so unless someone comes along and answers that question in the meantime (I'd be interested, even if it's not necessary for what I'm doing this very moment), I'll just delete the question to keep noise down.

  • Castle ActiveRecord Table name conflict

    - by Shane
When you run into a reserved word like "User" in NHibernate you would just put single quotes around the offending text and nHibernate will surround the text with square brackets for querying. My question is how do you do the same thing using Castle.ActiveRecord?
