• How can I set a default sort for tables in PHPMyAdmin (i.e. always "Primary key - Descending")

  Even though its obnoxious in a lot of ways I use PHPMyAdmin all the time to debug database issues while writing PHP. By default it sorts tables by primary key ascending. 99% of the time I would rather have the newest data (my test data) shown at the top by default rather than the useless first few records ever saved. Is there a way to configure PHPMyAdmin to show the newest records by default? To alter similar behavior?

• Typedef in C# across several source files

  I am writing a C wrapper an would like to use a typedef aquivalent to define some types which should be valid in quite a lot of source files. Those "types" are just different aliases to [u]int16/32/64_t, but are useful to distinguish function parameters. One could use using MyId=System.Int32;, but this needs to be redeclared in every file as far as I see... Is there a better way?

• Vim navigation clunkiness

  I've committed myself to diving into vim to become faster at writing code for ruby/python and I'm having a hard time navigating around files. Mainly, I'm referring to switching between insert mode and navigation modes. Maybe I'm just not completely used to the editor yet but it feels very awkward to constantly be switching in and out of insert mode. Is this something that will go away with time? Are there any tricks to getting quicker at moving in and out of insert mode?

Using java.io is simple, but I don't know how to access android resources or assets using it. • Inheriting a Base Form but Paste/Cut Commands Not Captured

  I created a base form that has a specific size and an icon as a base for all forms created in my project (to be consistent in looks). The problem is, for some reason if I add a Text box to the Child form, I can no longer execute shortcuts like Copy (CTRL+C) etc into the Textbox. What should I do to handle this OTHER THAN writing code to capture those on the KeyUp control? This is also the case for RichTextBox control as well. Thanks

I didn't understand the function of ampersands(I don't think they are the address of operands here) in LIST_HEAD_INIT and so the use of LIST_HEAD_INIT in the code.   I often use Excel with pivot tables based on .cub files for OLAP-type analysis. This is great except when you want to move the xls and you realise internally it's got a non-relative reference to the location of the .cub file. How can we cope with this - ie make it convenient to move around xls files that depend on .cub files? The best answer I could come up with is writing a macro that updates the pivot tables' reference to the .cub file location....so I'll pop that in an answer.
