  • Qt display image in a new window

    - by user312543
Hi, I am naive to Qt and GUI programming. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1357960/qt-jpg-image-display/2605463#2605463 The procedure given for displaying an image is working fine and thank you for providing that. But I want to display an image when I click on radiobutton. I created a slot, and I connected the button click event to the slot (dispImage is my slot). My slot consists only the code which is working to display an image (First answer in this link). I am able to compile it and run it. But the o/p is not as we desire. On button click, image windoe flashes for a sec and disappears. One more point to share is, I tried the same with windowsflags example present in qt examples. In this example I want to display the image on the preview window created by us. Even this is also not worked for me. Please provide me the solution. Thanks in advance.

  • Applying drop shadows to divs

    - by CJD
Hi everyone, I need a bit of help applying a drop shadow image to a range of DIV elements. The elements in question already have a background image so I am wrapping another DIV around them. Things get complicated further because I'm also using the 960gs CSS framework. This is my current HTML for a content box type display: <div class="grid_12 boxout-shadow-920"> <div class="boxout"> <p>planetCJD.co.uk is the personal site and blog of CJD. The site is still a work-in-progress but please do have a look around and let me know what you think! </p> </div> </div> Boxout CSS: .boxout { background:url("../images/overlay.png") repeat-x scroll 0 0 #EEEEEE; -moz-border-radius:4px 4px 4px 4px; border:1px solid #DDDDDD; margin-bottom:15px; padding:5px; } boxout-shadow-920 CSS: .boxout-shadow-920 { background:url("../images/box-shadow-920.png") no-repeat scroll 50% 101% transparent; } Now this works to a degree. The boxshadow image shows at the bottom of the content box which is what I would like. However as I'm using a fixed percentage of 101%, if the content box height is too small, not much of the drop shadow image gets shown, and if the content box is too big, whitespace starts to appear between the box and the shadow image. So anyway, what I'm looking for is a cross-browser CSS based solution for doing this properly. I'm sure there is an easy answer to this - any help is appreciated!

  • background worker in asp.net

    - by vbNewbie
I migrate my winforms crawler app to a asp.net web app and would like to know how to implement the background worker thread that I use for very long searches? Another posting mentioned asynchronous pages but I am not sure if this would work or how to apply it. The search function that would run can sometimes run for a few days and I would like the user to have the option to perform other functions still. Can this happen?

    - by TooFat
I have Console Application written in C# that is scheduled to run every 15 min. or so using the Built in Windows Task Scheduler. Every time it runs the black console box pops up for the duration of it's execution and then closes. I am not writing anything to the console. Is there a way to make this run in the background?

  • How To Read C# API From Java Background

    - by ChloeRadshaw
I come from a Java background and have been using C# for the last year - So far the API docs I use are at MSDN (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms132397.aspx). I tend to use the lightweight C# docs. What annoys me about that is that I don't see one page with details of the class, a list of members, a list of methods and properties like I would with a Java API definition. Is this possible?

  • How to Vertically Center Images on a Line?

    - by jeremy
What's the best way to center icons on a line when the images are smaller than the line height? For example (styles inline for easier reading): <div style="line-height: 20px"> <img style="width: 12px; height: 12px;"/> Blah blah blah </div> Here's a jsFiddle example. This example also shows why vertical-align: middle does not work. I want the img to be centered against the text of the div. That is, even if the text wrapped to multiple lines, the image would be centered against a single line. Ideally, the solution would not involve setting margings/paddings on the image and would work even if I didn't know the line-height. Things I've read: How do I vertically align text next to an image with CSS? (deals with case where image is larger, doesn't seem to apply here) Understanding vertical-align

  • Change background color when clicked textbox in C#

    - by jweinraub
I like for the textbox to change the background when the textbox has focus (if clicked with a mouse, tabbed into, etc). I don't like the textchange method since it won't change until one character has been added. private void txtFoo_OnGotFocus(object sender, EventArgs e) { txtFoo.BackColor = Color.LightYellow; txtBar.BackColor = Color.White; } This doesn't seem to work for me. What am I doing wrong?

  • Best way to develop a level from Top down image using 3dmax

    - by fire'fly
I have to create a game level from a top down view of an area. I used a plane converted to an editable poly to do the job. I used edges to create the top view of roads, walkways and parks so that i can extrude/edit them later. My problem is the curves in the road look blocky I tried appying mesh smooth modifier on the final model but that interfered with material mapping. Again i tried it on the plane without the extrusions and still the modifier does not work(The roads loose their shape). I know one way to solve the problem is to add more vertices on the curve and transform their location to create a more natural curve but i have a lot of curves so before doing it manually i need to know if there is a tool that refines the curves. Also i need to know if there is a better or proper way of doing the task.

  • Change the background color of the options menu

    - by feragusper
I'm trying to change the default color for the options menu which is white. I want a black background for every item on the options menu. I've tried some shoots like android:itemBackground="#000000" on the item element within the menu element but it doesn't work. I don't know if this is doable or not. Any idea would be welcome! :)

  • Create a Texture2D from larger image

    - by Dialock
I am having trouble with the basic logic of this solution: Xna: Splitting one large texture into an array of smaller textures in respect to my specific problem (specifically, I'm looking at the second answer.) How can I use my source rectangle that I already use for drawing to create a new Texture2D? spriteBatch.Draw(CurrentMap.CollisionSet, currentMap.CellScreenRectangle(x, y), CurrentMap.TileSourceRectangle(currentMap.MapCells[x, y].TileDepths[4]), Color.FromNonPremultiplied(0,0,0, 45), 0.0f, Vector2.Zero, SpriteEffects.None, 0.91f); I know I want a method that I started so: //In Update Method of say the player's character. Texture2D CollisionTexture = ExtractTexture(MapManager.CurrentMap.CollisionSet, MapManager.TileWidth, MapManager.TileHeight); // In MapManager Class who knows everything about tiles that make up a level. public Texture2D ExtractTexture(Texture2D original, int partWidth, int partheight, MapTile mapCell) { var dataPerPart = partWidth * partheight; Color[] originalPixelData = new Color[original.Width * original.Height]; original.GetData<Color>(originalPixelData); Color[] newTextureData = new Color[dataPerPart]; original.GetData<Color>(0, CurrentMap.TileSourceRectangle(mapCell.TileDepths[4]), originalPixelData, 0, originalPixelData.Count()); Texture2D outTexture = new Texture2D(original.GraphicsDevice, partWidth, partheight); } I think the problem is I'm just not understanding the overload of Texture2D.GetData< Part of my concern is creating an array of the whole texture in the first place. Can I target the original texture and create an array of colors for copying based on what I already get from the method TileSourceRecatangle(int)?

  • Jquery - removing an image before the client browser attempts to download it

    - by ajbrun
Hi there, I wonder if anyone could help me with a problem I've been having. I have a number of large images available, but due to space limitations, I can't create multiple copies of these at various sizes. I have used PHP GD functions to resize the images to the sizes I need and output them to the browser. This works, but obviously takes some processing time, which therefore impacts pages load times. I'm fine with this, but I only want to show the image once it's fully loaded, and have a loading gif in its place until that time. I'm using jquery to do this. The problem I'm having is making the page functional whether the client has javascript enabled or not. If JS is not enabled, I want standard img tags to be outputted, otherwise the images are removed and replaced with a loading gif until they have been fully loaded. The link below shows a simple non-javascript unfriendly example of a what I want to do (try turning JS off): http://jqueryfordesigners.com/demo/image-load-demo.php I've been testing the basics using the code below. The attr() function will be replaced with something like remove(). This is just a test to make something happen to the image before the browser tries to load it. $(document).ready(function() { $( "#Thumbnails .thumbnail img" ).attr('src', '#'); }); In IE, this works correctly - the image source is replaced with "#" BEFORE the client browser gets a chance to start downloading the image. In firefox however, it downloads the image, and THEN changes the source. It seems to me that firefox is loading the jquery onready event later than it should. As far as I know, this should be executed before the standard onload event and before anything has started loading. If it helps, I'm testing it with a good number of images on screen (81). Am I doing something wrong?
