  • SOLRNET/SOLR Logging: Need to log specific information on whether a document is added or updated.

    Hi guys, I am having a big problem trying to find a logging option for our SOLR integration. Recently I have started using SOLRNET to add documents from the database in batches as previously we were just renewing the entire index every morning. So far this solution is working very well and is exactly what we wanted. However, I am in need of a solution that will log every document being added and can also differentiate between an "add" or an "update". It seems posting to solr handles it in a way where "if the document exists, overwrite it; If not then add" but in the catalina logfile this operations looks identical no matter what the scenario. My question is; Are there any logging solutions out there that can accomplish this, the current default logging options in solr that log to catalina are insufficient. Many thanks for any help.

  • Is there an equivalent to Java's ClassFileTransformer in .NET? (a way to replace a class)

    I've been searching for this for quite a while with no luck so far. Is there an equivalent to Java's ClassFileTransformer in .NET? Basically, I want to create a class CustomClassFileTransformer (which in Java would implement the interface ClassFileTransformer) that gets called whenever a class is loaded, and is allowed to tweak it and replace it with the tweaked version. I know there are frameworks that do similar things, but I was looking for something more straightforward, like implementing my own ClassFileTransformer. Is it possible? EDIT #1. More details about why I need this: Basically, I have a C# application and I need to monitor the instructions it wants to run in order to detect read or write operations to fields (operations Ldfld and Stfld) and insert some instructions before the read/write takes place. I know how to do this (except for the part where I need to be invoked to replace the class): for every method whose code I want to monitor, I must: Get the method's MethodBody using MethodBase.GetMethodBody() Transform it to byte array with MethodBody.GetILAsByteArray(). The byte[] it returns contains the bytecode. Analyse the bytecode as explained here, possibly inserting new instructions or deleting/modifying existing ones by changing the contents of the array. Create a new method and use the new bytecode to create its body, with MethodBuilder.CreateMethodBody(byte[] il, int count), where il is the array with the bytecode. I put all these tweaked methods in a new class and use the new class to replace the one that was originally going to be loaded. An alternative to replacing classes would be somehow getting notified whenever a method is invoked. Then I'd replace the call to that method with a call to my own tweaked method, which I would tweak only the first time is invoked and then I'd put it in a dictionary for future uses, to reduce overhead (for future calls I'll just look up the method and invoke it; I won't need to analyse the bytecode again). I'm currently investigating ways to do this and LinFu looks pretty interesting, but if there was something like a ClassFileTransformer it would be much simpler: I just rewrite the class, replace it, and let the code run without monitoring anything. An additional note: the classes may be sealed. I want to be able to replace any kind of class, I cannot impose restrictions on their attributes. EDIT #2. Why I need to do this at runtime. I need to monitor everything that is going on so that I can detect every access to data. This applies to the code of library classes as well. However, I cannot know in advance which classes are going to be used, and even if I knew every possible class that may get loaded it would be a huge performance hit to tweak all of them instead of waiting to see whether they actually get invoked or not. POSSIBLE (BUT PRETTY HARDCORE) SOLUTION. In case anyone is interested (and I see the question has been faved, so I guess someone is), this is what I'm looking at right now. Basically I'd have to implement the profiling API and I'll register for the events that I'm interested in, in my case whenever a JIT compilation starts. An extract of the blogpost: In your ICorProfilerCallback2::ModuleLoadFinished callback, you call ICorProfilerInfo2::GetModuleMetadata to get a pointer to a metadata interface on that module. QI for the metadata interface you want. Search MSDN for "IMetaDataImport", and grope through the table of contents to find topics on the metadata interfaces. Once you're in metadata-land, you have access to all the types in the module, including their fields and function prototypes. You may need to parse metadata signatures and this signature parser may be of use to you. In your ICorProfilerCallback2::JITCompilationStarted callback, you may use ICorProfilerInfo2::GetILFunctionBody to inspect the original IL, and ICorProfilerInfo2::GetILFunctionBodyAllocator and then ICorProfilerInfo2::SetILFunctionBody to replace that IL with your own. The great news: I get notified when a JIT compilation starts and I can replace the bytecode right there, without having to worry about replacing the class, etc. The not-so-great news: you cannot invoke managed code from the API's callback methods, which makes sense but means I'm on my own parsing the IL code, etc, as opposed to be able to use Cecil, which would've been a breeze. I don't think there's a simpler way to do this without using AOP frameworks (such as PostSharp). If anyone has any other idea please let me know. I'm not marking the question as answered yet.

  • Is there a Java API for creating a XHTML document?

    I want to provide a simple XHTML representation of each of the resources in a REST web service. At the moment i'm using a StringBuilder to generate these which is both tedious and error prone. I don't see these changing after I publish the service but the process of coding each is a bit painful. Is there a XHTML document writer api? Should I just use an XML writer? Which one? Should I just roll my own basic HTML document class - doctype is the same each time, i just need to set the title, metatags and body content, most of which (but not all content) is already in HTML for the GETs. Or should I just use StringBuilder and stop whining? ;) Thanks.

  • Custom format document option in visual studio. Formatting CSS tags.

    Hi, When i work in VS2008, i use the Ctrl+K+D very often as it saves a lot of time. But in CSS files, this command formats the document in a way i don't quite like. For example when i auto format the document, .Foo { width:1px; height:2px; } However, i like to format tags this way, as it is much more easy to read (in my opinion): .Foo { width:1px; height:2px; } So, are there any way that i can implement this ? The "Tag specific options" feature seems to be the thing that i need, but i am not quite sure how to do this. Thanks.

  • Android: who can help me with setting up this google maps class please??

    Hi, Firstly this has turned out to be quite a long post so please bear with me as its not too difficult but you may need to clarify something with me if i haven't explained it correctly. So with some help the other day from guys on this forum, i managed to partially set up my 'mapClass' class, but i'm having trouble with it and its not running correctly so i would like some help if possible. I will post the code below so you can see. What Ive got is a 'Dundrum' class which sets up the listView for an array of items. Then ive got a 'dundrumSelector' class which I use to set up the setOnClickListener() methods on the listItems and link them to their correct views. The onClick() events don't even work from the listView to get into the correct views. I have to comment out the methods in 'DundrumSelector' before I can get into their views. And this is what I dont understand, firstly why wont the onClick() events work, because its not even on that next view where the map is. I know this is a very long post and it might be quite confusing so let me know if you want any clarification.. Just to recap, what i'm trying to do is just have one class that sets up the map coordinates, like what i'm trying to do in my 'mapClass'.   • How can I get PHP to compile a LaTeX document if it (www-data) can't get access to the required packages?

    I have a PHP script that compiles LaTeX documents with the use of: exec('cd /path/to/doc && /usr/bin/latexmk -pdf filename.tex'); This is working for some of my LaTeX documents but my latest document doesn't compile and a look at the log reveals: !pdfTeX error: pdflatex (file ecrm1000): Font ecrm1000 at 600 not found ==> Fatal error occurred, no output PDF file produced! Which I have found is the result of LaTeX not being able to see the required font packages. When I run the same compile command under my username the document compiles as it should. So my question is, how can I get PHP (executing as www-data) to get access to the necessary LaTeX packages? I have tried installing the required package under the www-data account using: sudo -u www-data sudo apt-get install texlive-fonts-recommended but it askes for www-data's password, which I don't believe was set by me and isn't anything I've thrown at it. I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 if it's any help.

    Anyone know of any well-supported/proven methods for converting a Microsoft word document to an MP3 or wav format such that hearing-impaired folks could "listen" to documents that I have stored in my web-based document management system? I already have the interface built such that someone can use the telephone to get the list of documents available, with the dates and titles "read" to them over the phone, but now I would like the ability to let someone actually listen to the contents of word files stored in the system. Ideally a .net library or utility that would let me convert the DOC - MP3 after each upload would be best, but one that "read" the file on demand would be OK too.

    I am trying to make an extension as part of which i want certain words in the web pages to be highlighted. The document.body.innerHTML.replace() replaces the url in the address bar as well. So the moment this code gets exwecuted the page doesnt get loaded properly.. My CEO has asked me to create a technology standards document, explaining things like the technology we use, our policy on adapting to new technology, and design standards like percent of code covered by unit tests. I've never had to do something like this, and I've spent a significant amount of time searching the web for examples, but I haven't found any at all. The closest I've found are documents describing technical specifications for an individual product. However, I'm trying to define this for the entire company. Can someone provide examples of how this document could be formatted/organized, and what the typical content would be? Thanks!

    Is there any Python library that allows me to parse an HTML document similar to what jQuery does? i.e. I'd like to be able to use CSS selector syntax to grab an arbitrary set of nodes from the document, read their content/attributes, etc. The only Python HTML parsing lib I've used before was BeautifulSoup, and even though it's fine I keep thinking it would be faster to do my parsing if I had jQuery syntax available. :D Write an iterative program that finds the largest number of McNuggets that cannot be bought in exact quantity.   • How do I attach an event handler to the document or window in GWT?

    In a GWT app centered around a canvas, I'm having trouble keeping focus directed in the right place - particularly for keyboard shortcuts. For now, I've wrapped the canvas in a FocusPanel, but that causes the canvas to not respond to the RequiresResize protocol, because FocusPanel does not plumb that. A second (related, I think) problem is that the FocusPanel is not getting Ctrl-A keypress events at all (tested on Mac Chrome). I can get Ctrl-Z and other keys (such as arrows) just fine. In a pure JavaScript world, I think the best answer to this would be to attach mouse and key handlers to the document or window object (I'm not positive which is better). However, I don't see an obvious way to do this in GWT - in particular, the Document and Window classes lack methods for attaching these kind of event handlers? Anyone know how to do it, or, perhaps, to solve the more general problem of keeping focus on an appropriate widget able to handle keyboard shortcuts?

    Hi, Background: I have an items on the sharepoint list. I also have a corresponding folder in a document library that contains documents about this item. I want to be able to get to this folder straight from the item properties. I have tried to create a lookup column containing folder ID, but that doesn't help cause folder is not a type and it just doesn't work. Other solution would be to create link column but if I will create it staticly - after creating alternative mapping (and getting to the page from the internet for example) it won't work. (so solution posted here won't work for me). I want to create this link from sharepoint workflow. I have a custom action that can return any info about the folder I want (ID, URL etc). Question: How to link from sharepoint list item to a folder in document library?

  • How to refresh xmlDataProvider when xml document changes at runtime in WPF?

    I am trying to make a image viewer/album creator in visual studio, wpf. The image paths for each album is stored in an xml document which i bind to to show the images from each album in a listbox. The problem is when i add a image or an album at runtime and write it to the xml document. I can't seem to make the bindings to the xml document update so they show the new images and albums aswell. Calling Refresh() on the XmlDataProvider doesn't change anything. I don't wish to redo the binding of the XmlDataProvider, just make it read from the same source again.     I have a requirement to launch .dot files (ms word templates) as new documents from the browser... Let me explain... if you click on a .dot file in Windows Explorer it opens a new document and runs any macros... you can right click and edit the template... I want to link to the files, so I use <a href="file://myserver/templates/letter.dot">Letter</a>... However this then prompts for the "Download File" dialogue box... and then if I click "Open" it opens the template in edit mode... not the required new document mode... This may be a technical impossibility but can I achieve the desired result in ActiveX or something??

  • jQuery - How do I make the menu fadeout when the user clicks anywhere else in the document besides the menu itself?

    Hi, I have a link that functions similar to a drop down menu in that it fades in a list of links below it when clicked. Currently, the list fades back out when the link is clicked again, but I'd like for it to also fade out if the user clicks elsewhere on the page. I'm not sure how to add the $(document).click(function()... that handles this, or if this is even the right approach.
