    Hi, I tried to download the rpm for vim from ftp://public.dhe.ibm.com/aix/freeSoftware/aixtoolbox/RPMS/ppc/vim/vim-minimal-6.3-1.aix5.1.ppc.rpm . I am using "ftp" command in AIX. when I use, open public.dhe.ibm.com It's prompting for username/password. But no information regarding this is given on the linked page. How do I download the rpm using "ftp" command?. Thanks.

  • DB2 runstats not working for xml columns

    Hello, I am running runstats command to update the runtime statistics of a particular table called "CUSTOMER" in DB2. The customer has two columns- CID (integer) and INFO (xml column). After running the command, if I look into the SYSCOLDIST table, the information for column CID is populated correctly. But there is nothing filled for the INFO xml column. The same happens with a different table that has xml columns. Please help.. Thanks, -Keshav

  • Run Java Project from Ubuntu Terminal?

    I have a small java project that handle connections. In order to run it from the terminal I have to cd into the folder that contains the source and run the following command: java -cp classes com.packagename.mainclass Where classes is the folder that contains the classes. I want ubuntu to run this application on startup, is there a Java command I can use? Or am I just better off creating a shell script? Thanks!

    I have a bunch of programming projects on my P:\ drive (on Windows 7) I'm now doing some programming within Virtual PC Windows XP Mode and I'd like to "call" that drive, within the Win XP guest, the P: drive. I've mapped drive letter P: to "network" drive on the Host but that goes across the network so it's very slow. I tried using the SUBST command but it wouldn't take the \tsclients\p as a parameter. Basically, the command line interpreter (is that DOS on Win 7 ??) doesn't recognize that directory (\tsclients\p)

  • What is the netmask equivalent on the verision of route for the Mac

    In order to create some special routes for debugging I used the following command on my linux server: sudo route add -net 10.78.0.0 netmask 255.255.0.0 gw 10.101.1.1 which works, and sets up the routes I need. But when I run the same command on my Mac I get: route: bad address: netmask I'm guessing that the version of route that is included in OS X requires a different format but I'm at a loss to figure it out.

Here is what I am trying - virsh qemu-monitor-command -hmp VM_NAME wavcapture VM.wav This is the output I am getting : Failed to open wave file `vm.wav' Reason: Permission denied Failed to add wave capture I have tried to create a dummy vm.wav with 777 permissions. But I still get the same error.

So will Invoke-Expression -command "\Windows\system32\mspaint.exe" but if there is a space in the path PowerShell spits the dummy e.g. Invoke-Expression -command "\install\sub directory\test.bat" Which complains: The term '\install\sub' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. What am I missing?

I recently discovered MAMP and its just easier to work with it than with the personal web server Apple has and via command like utils. I uninstall ports completely but still see 'mysqld' in my Activity Monitor. I would like to uninstall this cleanly. Any tips?

    I have 2 folders: /home/sphinx/articlesdb/ and: /home/sphinx/tmp/articlesdb/ I want to move and overwrite all of the files from tmp into the main folder. I am currently using: mv -f /home/sphinx/tmp/articlesdb/ /home/sphinx/ But I get this error: mv: cannot move `/home/sphinx/tmp/articlesdb/' to a subdirectory of itself, `/home/sphinx/articlesdb' It needs to do this as fast as possible so I don't want to copy. Should I remove /home/sphinx/articlesdb/ completely and then run the mv command or do I just need to tweak the command slightly?

    I am trying to create a software stripe setup with two physical disks (underneath they are 128K stripe, RAID5 for each). I've read that one can use diskpart, but I am unable to come up with a command that works. This is on Server 2k3 SP2. I was trying create volume stripe disk=2,3 align=1024 Diskpart errors out: The arguments you specified for this command are not valid. P.S. Tried successfully with a basic disk and a primary partition. Please reply, -Greg

  • Cannot access client pc remotely due to time/date issue xp win2k3 environment

    When I run psexec to the user desktop (xp pro) I get "There is a time and/or date difference between the client and the server." I also get "access denied" when I run the at \clientname time /interactive "net time \server /set /y" command. I cannot access the machine from my win2k3 server's AD Users and Computers utilities. Is going to the machine the only way to remedy? Clarify: Going to the machine and doing the net time command works, but I want a remote solution please.

    The default behavior for 'less' is to clear the screen after quitting. This behavior stopped when I started using: export TERM=xterm Now 'less' leaves the last page I viewed on the screen, and I want to re-enable the default behavior of clearing the screen. Googling this problem I found that people use the following command in their ~/.screenrc: altscreen on I'm not sure if this is a mac-issue but I don't have this command available.     Problem Trying to setup CI Joe (https://github.com/defunkt/cijoe) and I get the following error: /usr/bin/env: ruby1.8: No such file or directory What I'm doing CI Joe is run as www-data, and the command I'm running is RAILS_ENV=test bundle exec rake -s test When I log in as www-data (sudo su www-data) and execute the same command it works.     I have edited the /etc/network/interfaces file and I use the sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart. After restart, the eth1 interfaces don't setup properly. I need a hard reboot to enable this configuration. Meanwhile the command line hints: Running /etc/init.d/networking restart is deprecated because it may not enable again some interfaces.     I have a CentOS server, VPS. After running this command I can't work with server and get the same error in all actions (SSH, Login, ls and ...) I am using Centos with 512 MB Guarantee Memory and 1 GB burst Memory, I am running 3 wordpress sites from it, where all are having daily traffic of 30-100 visitors each, After every 2-3 days I need to restart my VPS because the resources are taking high usage of memory, I tried running top command and it shows Apache as high, But is it possible to check which website is taking load?
