• Colorbox - removing the close button from a specific window

  Hi, I'm using the colorbox plugin to display messages on my web page. One of them is a "wait for response" message, and I don't want the user closing it by himself. I know how to unbind the ESC key, and to disable the overlay close, but I still have a problem with the close button. I found I could remove it in the css like this: #cboxClose{display:none !important;} but this will effect all my colorbox messages.. Is there a way to remove the close button from a specific message? Maybe from the jsp itself? Thanks, Yael.

• How to properly use Gearman with my PHP application?

  For now I just want to use Gearman for background processing. For example, I need to email a recipient that they have a private message waiting for them once the sender submits their message into the DB. I assume I can run the worker/client and server on my primary server but I have no problems offloading some of the tasks to a different web server. Anyways, my question is how do I handle multiple "functions?" Let's say I need a job that handles the email portion and a job to handle image manipulation. Can I have multiple functions in the worker? I've followed a couple of examples I found online but each example only shows one function being initialized. Do I have to start up multiple "workers" to handle multiple functions?

• How to delete multiple files with msbuild/web deployment project?

  I have an odd issue with how msbuild is behaving with a VS2008 Web Deployment Project and would like to know why it seems to randomly misbehave. I need to remove a number of files from a deployment folder that should only exist in my development environment. The files have been generated by the web application during dev/testing and are not included in my Visual Studio project/solution. Or it will remove only one or two of the three folders in the DeleteAfterBuild item group. There seems to be no consistency in when the build process decides to remove the files or not. When I've edited the configuration to include only Folder 1 (for example), it removes all the files correctly. Then adding Folder 2 and 3, it starts removing all the files as I want. Then, seeming at random times, I'll rebuild the project and it won't remove any of the files! I have tried moving these items to the ExcludeFromBuild item group (which is probably where it should be) but it gives me the same unpredictable result. Has anyone experienced this? Am I doing something wrong? Why does this happen?

When consuming these message I want to impose an order on the deque process that respects the following constraints: Messages must be dequeued in insertion order. Messages belonging to the same id must be dequeued in such a fashion that no other dequeuing process should be able to dequeue a potential successor message (or messages) with this id. Since the messages are generated using a trigger I cannot use groups for this purpose. I am using the Oracle Java interface for AQ. Any pointers on how that could be achieved?

• Design view not working in Web Projects in Visual Studio 2008

  When I try to edit an ASPX file with the Design View it freezes for a moment and does nothing, not even an error message. Looking through menus I've seen some strange things: If I go to Tools-Options-HTML Designer it gives me no options on the right panel, just a "Error loading property page" message. When I try to open a file using "Open With..." there should be something like "Web Form - Editor", but it is missing and I can only open them using Code View. I've tried repairing Visual Studio and reinstalling WebDesignerCore, but nothing works. Anyone had the same problem?

  I am using the Expression Encoder SDK to encode .avi and Flash files to a .wmv format suitable for Silverlight. By default, EE encodes files with audio using the the WMA PRO codec. If you are running Windows Server 2003, this is a problem as it doesn't support the WMA PRO codec and produces and error message similar to the following. Error Message: The Audio Profile settings do not match a valid system profile. Error Source: Microsoft.Expression.Encoder Error Target Site: System.String GetProfileString() I am looking for a way to change the default audio codec to something suitable for WS 2003. I am aware that although not supported natively, there is a highly invasive way to install Windows Media Player 11 and it's codecs on WS 2003 but this involves registry tinkering and other hacks not suitable for our production environments so that solution is out.

  Lately I've been diving into network programming, and I'm having some difficulty constructing a packet with a variable "data" property. Several prior questions have helped tremendously, but I'm still lacking some implementation details. I'm trying to avoid using variable sized arrays, and just use a vector. But I can't get it to be transmitted correctly, and I believe it's somewhere during serialization. Now for some code. The above methods are only responsible for serialization. Unfortunately, the data never gets transferred. Couple of things to point out here. I'm guessing the malloc is wrong, but I'm not sure how else to compute it (i.e. what other value it would be). Other than that, I'm unsure of the proper way to use a vector in this fashion, and would love for someone to show me how (code examples please!) :) Edit: I've awarded the question to the most comprehensive answer regarding the implementation with a vector data property.   I've created a model in Xcode, and for various attributes I have minimum & maximum values defined and that are enforced by coreData at runtime. I'm using NSManagedObject validateValue:forKey:error to check for user input values. I was a bit disappointed to see that the localized error message is not specific, and I get a "The operation couldn't be completed. (Cocoa error 1620)" for too small values and a "The operation couldn't be completed. (Cocoa error 1610)" for too large values. It's written in the coreData documentation that "you can localize most aspects of a managed object model, including entity and property names and error messages". Unfortunately it's not very detailed on how you implement it for error messages. So How do you customize error message ? How do you localize them ? Is it possible to customize it in a way where it will mentioned the reference value ex: "Value should be lower than %@" or "Value should be higher than %@" ?

• firefox window.onerror event problem - alerts "Script error!" only

  I use the window.onerror to alert javascript errors for debugging. window.onerror = function(msg, url, line) { alert(msg + '\nLine: ' + line); }; When an error is fired, it can alert this actual error message in IE. But in firefox, it just alerts "Script error!", but I can still see the actual error message in firefox's error console. I remembered several months ago when I worked on another project, firefox did not work like this. But I cannot get the code of that project currently. So I wonder what are the possible problems with this?

• Joomla template parameters and params.ini - file becomes unwritable after save.

  I am using wamp and creating a Joomla template with changeable parameters. initially the message is The parameter file \templates\ssc_2010\params.ini is writable! once I make changes everything works as expected, except now i get the message: The parameter file \templates\ssc_2010\params.ini is unwritable! One solution is to brows to the directory, right click the file, select properties, and uncheck read-only. Again the file is writable but once I modify the parameters again it becomes read only again. I'm quite lazy and would like to prevent this from happening again, I've notice this happening in past projects, but now I have to work a lot with parameters so it becomes quite boring doing manual labor like that :P

• How do I add the j2ee.jar to a Java2WSDL ant script programmatically?

  I am using IBM's Rational Application Developer. I have an ant script that contains the Java2WSDL task. When I run it via IBM, it gives compiler errors unless I include the j2ee.jar file in the classpath via the run tool (it does not pick up the jar files in the classpath in the script). However, I need to be able to call this script programmatically, and it is giving me this error: "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org.eclipse.core.runtime.CoreException" I'm not sure which jars need to be added or where? Since a simple echo script runs, I assume that it is the j2ee.jar or another ant jar that needs to be added. I've added it to the project's buildpath, but that doesn't help. (I also have ant.jar, wsanttasks.jar, all the ant jars from the plugin, tools.jar, remoteAnt.jar, and the swt - all which are included in the buildpath when you run the script by itself.)
