• Disable click action after letting up a mouse wheel hold scroll in Chrome browser

  I apologize in advance for the confusing title, not sure what the best way to describe this action is. Basically, I am holding down the mouse wheel and then moving the mouse itself up and down to scroll (not actually rotating the mouse wheel forward or backward). This is often the most convenient way to scroll for me. Unfortunately, when I scroll in this way, and then let up the mouse wheel again, it performs a click action, so if the arrow happens to land on a link when I let up the mouse wheel, I end up inadvertently clicking that link. How can I prevent the mouse from performing a click action when I use the mouse wheel to scroll by holding it down and then letting it up when I am done scrolling? • Unity: Assigning a key to perform an action in the inspector

  I am trying to write a simple piece of code in JavaScript where a button toggles the activation of a shield, by dragging a prefab with Resources.load("ActivateShieldPreFab") and destroying it again (Haven't implemented that yet). I wish to assign this button through the inspector, so I have created a string variable which appears as intended in the inspector. Though it doesn't seem to register the inspector input, even though I changed the value through the inspector. It only provides the error: "Input Key named: is unknown" When the button name is assigned within the code, there is no issues. • screen DPI - is there and equivalent command/action to Windows 150% Display

  I have a wide screen of high resolution and I see everything small on it. So In windows I set the display to 150%, I would like to do something similar in Ubuntu. Simply changing screen resolution to lower resolution doesn't help because Ubuntu is in a virtual machine and it simply changes the VM window to the actual resolution. Is there a command or a simple hack that can do the trick? EDIT: I am running Ubuntu as a VirtualBox VM on Windows 7 host.

  Just very recently I encountered an issue in deploying a custom SSIS component assembly which turns out to be a relative "no-brainer" error if only the clues were more straightforward. Basically after deploying the assembly I could not find my component listed in the "SSIS Data Flow Items" tab list.It turns out that the assembly containing the component just had missing or referenced the incorrect assemblies.I have outlined the steps I took that guided me on the right direction on this blog post of mine : adding custom SSIS transformation to visual studio toolbox fails

  Its been long due I was planning to write an article on creating some useful ASP.NET MVC application. I have code named it "DailyJournal". Its a simple application which allows creation of multiple activities and assign tasks to these activities. Its' kind of "Yet another Task/Todo application". The credentials which you can use with the attached demo application is shown below.   Collapse Copy Code User Name : admin Password : admin123 Framework/Libraries Used ASP.NET MVC jQuery + jQuery UI (for ajax and UI) ELMAH for Error logging Warning Ahead This is just a rough draft and so I am putting down some of the known limitation. Some points of warning before we move further with this application. This is just an early prototype. As such many of the design principles have been ignored. But, I try to cover that up in the next update once I get my head around this. The application in its current state supports the following features Create users Assign Activities to users Assign tasks to activities Assign a status to a task The user creation/authentication is being done by the default Membership provider. Most of the activities are highly visual i.e. you can drag-drop task to different areas, in-place edition of task details and so on.   The following are the current issues with the design which I promise to refactor in the second version. No Validations Fat Controller XSS/CSS vulnerable No Service model/abstraction yet. For the demo LINQ to SQL is implemented. No separation of layers UI Design et el...   Everyone says sequence diagrams are so easy but I just cannot figure this out. Basically user clicks on an 'Import from temp folder' button, the program opens a window with a list populated with filenames, user clicks on a filename, clicks on OK and the document is imported. I know the order of the actions but how to depict e.g. populating a list, or selecting an item from a list? • Just bought Logitech G35 headset, want to enable/disable headet in one action

  Hello, Just bought Logitech G35 USB headset, want to enable/disable headet in one action. I have windows 7 64 bit, and currently, to switch from the headset to my spakers (or vice versa) without unplugging the headset, i have to go thru this steps: right click on the sound icon select "sounds" select the "Playback" tab right click headset and hit enable right click speakers and hit disable same steps when wanting to switch back I have to disable the devices, because not all of the programs which are outputting sound will switch immediately if I just set either device to default. I am looking for this to be a single action (either a batch script or a windows shortcut to some action with parameters?) Thanks!

• Cannot add custom keyboard shortcut

  I'm trying to assign custom shortcut to launch my own script (I don't need it in terminal window, just launch it) So, I went to Settings - Keyboard - Shortcuts - Custom Shortcuts, pressed the button with "+" and entered the name of shortcut and the command itself. But then I cannot bind keys to that shortcut. I selected a new row and pressed needed keys (Shift + F3) and nothing happens. I can change the keys for system shortcuts, but do not have any luck with my own. Any ideas?
