  I've been trying for ages to get this to work and I can't put my finger on it. What I'm trying to do is block access to a site from a number of countries, based on the CF-IPCountry header added by CloudFlare. I figured htaccess was a suitable way to do this. We are running LiteSpeed 4.2.4 on top of DirectAdmin for a control panel. The problem we having is the htaccess rule doesn't seem to do anything. Here's the rule we tried: SetEnvIf CF-IPCountry AU UnwantedCountry=1 Order allow,deny Deny from env=UnwantedCountry Allow from all That makes no difference at all, connections are still accepted. Just to check that the rule was at least being processed, I changed Allow from all to Deny from all, and connections were refused. So it appears to be a problem wit the variable. Here's the relevant headers that come in with the request. EDIT: The following code solves the problem: au BufWinLeave ?* mkview au BufWinEnter ?* silent loadview but if I write it, the MRU files disappear from my list (and I have to open MRU twice in order to see my list of recent files why?)

  I have the following SQL statement which returns a single record as expected: select * from geodatasource_cities C, geodatasource_countries D where C.CC_FIPS = D.CC_FIPS and D.CC_ISO='AU' and UCASE(TRIM(C.FULL_NAME_ND)) LIKE '%JAN JUE%'; However, If I use the following SQL statement, no records are returned. I have only changed the LIKE clause to an equal to clause: select * from geodatasource_cities C, geodatasource_countries D where C.CC_FIPS = D.CC_FIPS and D.CC_ISO='AU' and UCASE(TRIM(C.FULL_NAME_ND)) = 'JAN JUE'; Can anybody please help me understand why this may be happening?

• Wordpress installed in root folder, subdomain now not working, GoDaddy host

  Hi, please forgive me for being a complete beginner at this, I'd rather not have to try to deal with this myself but as GoDaddy support have not replied after 2 days I'm going to have to. I think my problem is the same as the one above, but I'm not 100% sure, so I'm reposting it, I'm not really confident enough to attempt to try the fixes I've seen here so I need someone to give me baby instructions? Our original website (www.mwpics.com.au) was built in Dreamweaver etc, recently we created a new website in Wordpress, in a subdomain, then migrated it over to the root folder where it is now operating fine. I also moved the files for the old website into another directory which I called 'old', so they're all still there. The problem is that I have a subdomain set up - which is still showing as set up in the control panel on godaddy the url is www.mwpics.com.au/clients and it is at www.clients.mwpics.com.au. This directory contains loads of other directories, each of which is password protected by .htaccess files and which our clients access directly (not through the site) to download their finished work. The test one and the one for random clients is www.mwpics.com.au/clients/temp - username and password both temp (the usernames are all the same as the directory names). Since the WP install to the root directory the /clients extension no longer works (it should bring up an information page which is an .html index page in the directory) and the /clients/name extensions no longer works - it goes back to the wp site with a 'not found' error message. Strangely it does bring up the box for the username and password, but when you enter it it just goes back to the 'not found' message. Someone told me it was the .htaccess file - so as an experiment, I renamed the .htaccess file in the root directory and then copied the .htaccess file from the old root files into the root directory, eureka! It worked - and also the WP site opened to the home page... but bummer - the /pages in the WP site now no longer worked! But at least I know the source of the problem. So I switched it back and this is the status quo - I have no idea how to fix this, and with everyone back at work tomorrow, clients are going to want to start downloading their stuff... Can anyone help me? I'm starting to panic a bit

  What I need: A TFS 2010 Setup that allows 2 application developers to access the TFS from remote locations. How it is setup: Server 2008 Standard 2g Ram 300g HD space SharePoint Server 2007, using SQL Server 2005 SQL Server 2008 Standard Team Foundation Server 2010 IIS 7 Sharepoint Bindings: TFS.DynAccount.Me:80; TFS:80 TFS Bindings: TFS.DynAccount.Me:8080; TFS:8080 Using DynDNS service to account for the dynamic ip address being used, this is a requirement for the moment until I can get a better isp package. Access using Local Accounts Server is not setup on a domain, or as a domain. Consequently I did not setup AD services. Problem: When logged into TFS using my credentials TFS\AdminUser through the DynDNS account TFS.DynAccount.Me I recieve the 'Red X of Death' on the Documents and Reports folder. When logged into the TFS through the local peer to peer network using the same credentials TFS\AdminUser I do not receive the 'Red X of Death' problem. Further Troubleshooting: When users 'Right Click' the 'TeamProject1' Click 'Show Project Portal' it tries to take them to http://TFS:8080 instead of http://TFS.DynAccount.Me:8080, which doing further research I am assuming that it is because team foundation server was setup with a local name of TFS instead of 'TFS.DynAccount.Me' as specified here in Visual Studio Magazines: The Red X of Death. Users can Access the Team Portal for SharePoint via http://TFS.DynAccount.Me/TeamCollection/TeamProject so it is not like we are dead in the water or anything. However, as most employees/staff are prone to do, they have expressed a great distaste for having to do it this way and just be patient until the current project is finished since we are under a very strict deadline. Is there a way to set this up differently, or change some settings someplace, reinstall it, point a CName record for our domain website to the DynAccount (e.g. TFS.OurDomain.com points to TFS.DynAccount.Me, which consequently does allow access to the http site without issues), or something. I really don't feel like after all the time and effort I have spent into, first the cost, second the bloody install, third learning SharePoint well enough, fourth the hours into days spent on this, fifth more troubleshooting, sixth employee headaches to just let it lay where it is at. I figure in my spare/off time I would keep trying to get this to work. So I really appreciate any help any one can give me. I know this is probably something really stupid simple that I will 'Face Palm' over, but at the moment the stress and frustration just has me beat. The web service gets document meta data from SharePoint, it running on a server where I cant debug but with logging I confirmed that the method enters and exits successfully.   I have a page with a form on it and needs a range of dates. Thus I've placed a number of textboxes on the page into which users can type dates. When the user clicks the save button I want to trigger a LINQ update to the SQL Server...all the rows already exist, so I'm just updating existing data. How can I do this?   I'm using a thread that is continuously reading from a queue. Something like: public void run() { Object obj; while(true) { synchronized(objectsQueue) { if(objectesQueue.isEmpty()) { try { objectesQueue.wait(); } catch (InterruptedException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } obj = objectesQueue.poll(); } } // Do something with the Object obj } } What is the best way to stop this thread? I see two options: 1 - Since Thread.stop() is deprecated, I can implement a stopThisThread() method that uses a n atomic check-condition variable. 2 - Send a Death Event object or something like that to the queue. When the thread fetches a death event it exists. I prefer the 1st way, however, I don't know when to call the stopThisThread() method, as something might be on it's way to the queue and the stop signal can arrive first (not desirable). Any suggestions?

• How to scrape Google SERP based on copyright year?

  Hi all: I know there must be ways to do this sort of things. I am not pro in RoR or Python, not even an expert in PHP. So my solution tends to be quite dumb: It uses a FireFox add-on called imarcos to scrape the target urls from Google SERP, and use PHP to store info into the database. At the very core of my workaround there lies a problem: How to specifically find target urls based on their copyright year? I mean, something like "copyright 1998-2006" in the footer is to be considered a target, but my search results are not 100% accurate. I used the following url to search : http://www.google.com.au/#hl=en&q=inurl:.com.au+intext:copyright+1995..2007+--2008+--2009&start=0&cad=b&fp=6a8119b094529f00 It reads : search for pages that have .com.au in URL and a copyright range from 1995 to 2007 exclude the year of 2008 or 2009. Starting position is 0, of course the offset can be changed. I've already done a dummy list and honestly I am not pleased with the result. That's mostly because I cannot find a way to restrict search terms in the exact order as they are entered into the search url. copyright can appear in anywhere on page and doesn't necessarily before the years, that's the current story. Is there a more clear way to sort out this? Oh, almost forgot to say the client doesn't wanna spent too much in this - I cannot persuade him simply buy some cool software, unfortunately. I hope there is a way to use clever Google search operators or similar things to go around this issue. Many thanks in advance!
