    A client is opening our website into a popup window using JavaScript with window.open. They are turning off scrollbars and making the window a fixed height, causing the pages to not be scrollable. I control the code of the website being loaded this way, but not the calling JavaScript. Is there any way I can force the display of scrollbars?

  • How set the response header's Cache-Control in Sitecore?

    By default, it looks like Sitecore does not cache pages. In web.config, set this <setting name="DisableBrowserCaching" value="false"/> and create pipeline processor page.Response.Cache.SetExpires(DateTime.Now.AddSeconds(60)); page.Response.Cache.SetCacheability(HttpCacheability.Public); but it did not work, the repose head stays no-cache. By the way, I add the pipeline in the renderLayout, anyone knows? thanks!

  • 2 roles, admin and user. Is using anything other than basic http auth overkill?

    I'm building my first website with rails,it consists of a blog, a few static pages and a photo gallery. The admin section has namespaced controllers. I also want to create a mailing list, collecting contact info, (maybe a spree store in the future too.) Should I just use basic http authentication and check if the user is admin? Or is a plugin like authlogic better, then define user roles even though there would only be two; admin and user?

    Hello all, I am currently in the process of designing an interface for .NET software that would be consumed by COM objects - specifically, VB6. While I have found a number of pages by Microsoft detailing how to make an COM-interoperable interface, I am currently tripping over the use of Collections in design time: I would like to be able to use a standard VB6 "Collection object" in the .NET program - for example, specify an argument as being a VB6 collection - and thus minimize the time necessary for clients to consume the interface.     I'm creating a digg-like site using Ruby on Rails that ranks the item (based on this algorithm). I'm using the will-paginate gem list the items in pages. The problem is, will-paginate only allows me to insert ':order =' based on the table data. I would like to make will-paginate to sort by a number which is calculated using a function based on different fields on the table (e.g number of votes, age hours). How can I do that?

  • iPython in Emacs. Quick code evaluation

    Hi all, I would like to "send" code snippets to a iPython interpreter in Emacs 23.2 (Linux). I have two related questions about this: Q1: I have learned that Emacs provides ('shell-command-on-region') to run selected regions in a shell. I have set setq shell-file-name to my iPython path, but when I run M-| after selecting a region, Emacs prompts me the following: Shell command on region: and if I then type RET, I get the iPython man page on the *Shell Command Output* buffer, without the region being executed. Why? Q2: Assuming that I have already started an iPython shell in some other buffer in Emacs, is there a way of selecting a region in another buffer and "sending" this region to the already-started iPython shell?     Hi all, my app is an e-commerce application. During the checkout process, I have "recipient" and "credit card" screens. In the recipient screen, there are number of fields for address entry, which makes it very clumsy. Same in the case of the credit card screen, where the user is asked to enter their credit card info and billing address. Can anyone suggest how to design these two pages?

    In Visual Studio 2010 (RC) there is no longer a "browse with" context menu when right clicking .aspx pages. How can you change the default browser now? By default it seems to use the operating system default browser, but I would prefer to use IE when debugging ASP.net apps. (I am testing this with ASP.net MVC 2)

Atm our pages come in pdf format so we need a way to export text and images from the pdf so that they can be added to a database.     Hi, I have a DataGrid in a USerControl. Somehow the paging doesnt work, the paging has the right amount of pages, but clicking the numbers does not work ... it stays on page 1.   • Re-load Android activity data

    Hi, I am writing an Android app, part of which will be a survey involving multiple pages of checkbox question and answers. I have created an activity to display the question and options (from the DB) and what I want to do now is when i press the "Next" button it should just reload the current activity with the next question set from the database. (the activity starts with survey.getNextQuestion() - so its just a case of refreshing the activity so it updates) Im sure this is a simple thing to do -any ideas? Thanks

    I have some pages indexed by Google, for example: /product.html?affiliateid=142 I want a rewrite rule to 301 redirect to the same page if there's an affiliateid=xxx So far I have this: RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^affiliateid=[0-9]+$ RewriteRule ^$ /test.html$ [L,R=301] But its not working, I need to get rid of the variable and get the page name somehow.
