• Stuck on an ASP.NET/WCF WSDL Parsing Error

  I have a WCF Web Service that my ASP.NET app uses. It has been working fine for quite some time. I just added in a Dev Express Grid (and the Dev Express DLLs) and a new page that uses them and now I am getting parsing errors on the WSDL. But the weird part is that it works fine on my machine but fails on the web server machine. (Both are connecting to the same web services WSDL.) Here is the error message I am getting: Server Error in '/MyWebAppWebDev' Application. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Parser Error Description: An error occurred during the parsing of a resource required to service this request. • Compiling Glib Code on Ubuntu

  I'm trying to compile ARCCC (https://sourceforge.net/projects/arccc/) on Ubuntu 9.10, but I'm getting the make error "glib.h: No such file or directory", and the autoconfig script reports that Glib isn't installed. However, I have the libglib2.0-dev package installed, which appears to provide all the glib headers. Is there something missing/wrong with the Ubuntu package, or the Autoconf script incorrect?

  Hi, I am trying to compile a c program using LLVM and I am having trouble getting some static libraries included. I have successfully compiled those static libraries using LLVM and, for example, libogg.a is present, as is ogg.l.bc. However, when I try to build the final program, it does not include the static ogg library. • SQL error - Cannot convert nvarchar to decimal

  I have a C# application that simply parses all of the txt documents within a given network directory and imports the data to a SQL server db. Everything was cruising along just fine until about the 1800th file when it happend to have a few blanks in columns that are called out as DBType.Decimal (and the value is usually zero in the files, not blank). So I got this error, "cannot convert nvarchar to decimal". I am wondering how I could tell the app to simply skip the lines that have this issue?? Perhaps I could even just change the column type to varchar even tho values are numbers (what problems could this create?) • Java runs out of memory, even though I give it plenty!

  Hey, folks. So, I'm running a java server (specifically Winstone: http://winstone.sourceforge.net/ ) Like this: java -server -Xmx12288M -jar /usr/share/java/winstone-0.9.10.jar --useSavedSessions=false --webappsDir=/var/servlets --commonLibFolder=/usr/share/java This has worked fine in the past, but now it needs to load a bunch more stuff into memory than it has before. The odd part is that, according to 'top', it has 15.0g of VIRT(ual memory) and it's RES(ident set) is 8.4g. Once it hits 8.4g, the CPU hangs at 100% (even though it's loading from disk), and eventually, I get Java's OutOfMemoryError. Presumably, the CPU hanging at 100% is Java doing garbage collection. So, my question is, what gives? I gave it 12 gigs of memory! And it's only using 8.2 gigs before it throws in the towel. What am I doing wrong? Oh, and I'm using java version "1.6.0_07" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_07-b06) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 10.0-b23, mixed mode) on Linux. Thanks, Matt

If you have a staging/dev Wordpress setup used for testing new pluging and such, how do you go about migrating the data in the staging database back to the production database? • Cross-Domain iframe communication

  I have an iframe being created on a page, and the page's domain is being explicitly set to 'xyz.com' but the iframe's domain is defaulting to 'dev.xyz.com', which is the actual domain i'm developing for. The problem is, when I try to access that iframe via iframe.contentWindow.document, it fails due to the difference in domain. I've tried setting the iframe's src to a file with document.domain = 'xyz.com' but that doesn't seem to be doing the trick... Any ideas?

I've tried using the addItemsWithObjectValues outside the for loop along with the suggestions at this question: Is this the right way to add items to NSCombobox in Cocoa ? But still no luck. If you can't tell, I'm trying to combine two strings from the files with a hyphen in between them and then put that new string into the combo box. There are over 400 codes and matching names in the two files, so manually putting them in would be a huge chore, not to mention, I don't see what would be causing this problem. The compiler shows no warnings or errors, and in the IB, I have it set to use the internal list, but when I run it, the list is not populated unless I do it manually. Some things I thought might be causing it: Being in the applicationDidFinishLaunching: method Having the string and array variables declared as instance variables in the header (along with @property and @synth done to them) Messing around with using appendString multiple times with NSMutableArrays Nothing seems to be causing this to me, but maybe someone else will know something I don't.   I have inherited a SSIS project. I have never worked with SSIS before, and the one thing that seems strange to me, is that there is no way to manage multiple configurations. For each SSIS package we have 3 delpoyment environments, DEV, UAT and PRODUCTION. At the moment I am having to edit the configuration for every package we deploy manually for each change (and there are a lot of packages). Does anyone know of a more graceful way to handle these configuration changes?

However, I can't seem to retrieve the path on my system of an inserted usb. Is there someway that I can get the path of an inserted usb in dbus, perhaps by using the GetProperty() method? • Active Directory lookup works in IE but fails in FireFox

  I'm using IIS 5.1 on my local dev machine and I have changed IIS to run using my domain account and configured ASP.NET with impersonate = true. I am able to query my local AD to get information perfectly fine using IE (IE 7.0) but when I use FireFox (3.6.3) it fails with a really un-helpful COM error.
