  • Windows batch file: Pipe destroys my return code

    Hi, is it possible to return the errorlevel also if I pipe the output of a script into a logfile: test1.bat: call test2.bat 2>&1 | tee log.txt echo ERRORLEVEL: %ERRORLEVEL% test2.bat: exit /B 1 Output when calling test1.bat: ERRORLEVEL: 0 The errorlevel is always 0. The problem is, I want to call another script inside my script where the output should be redirected synchronously with the output shown in the command line, therefore a simple is not enough for me. I tried several ideas, but result is that the pipe always seems to destroy the given error-level... :( Can you give me any further suggestions? Thanks in advance... :)

  • [Java6] Same source code, Eclipse build success but Maven (javac) fails

    Keep getting this error when compiling using Maven: type parameters of <X>X cannot be determined; no unique maximal instance exists for type variable X with upper bounds int,java.lang.Object Generics type interference cannot be applied to primitive types. But I thought since Java5, boxing/unboxing mechanism works seamlessly between primitive types and wrapper classes. In any case, the strange thing is Eclipse doesn't report any errors and happily compiles. I'm using JDK1.6.0_12. What could possibly be the problem here?

    If it's important to keep data access 'away' from business and presentation layers, what alternatives or approaches can I take so that my LINQ to SQL entities can stay in the data access layer? So far I seem to be simply duplicating the classes produced by sqlmetal, and passing those object around instead simply to keep the two layers appart. For example, I have a table in my DB called Books. If a user is creating a new book via the UI, the Book class generated by sqlmetal seems like a perfect fit although I'm tightly coupling my design by doing so.

    Hi, I am looking for ideas for how I can stop external scripts connecting with my site. I'm looking for the same kind of idea behind Google. As in if a certain amount of requests are made per a certain amount of time then block the IP address or something. I thought there maybe a htaccess solution if not, I will write a PHP one.     I have a form on my site. The user enters their e-mail and selects a location from a dropdown. I then need to post that data to an external site by hitting a url with the user's location and e-mail in the query string. I'm doing this like so: string url = "http://www.site.com/page.aspx?location=" + location.Text + "&email=" + email.Text; HttpWebRequest request = (HttpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create(url); HttpWebResponse response = (HttpWebResponse)request.GetResponse(); My client says that I am not hitting their server, but when going through the debugger, I'm getting a response from their server. I also tried tracking what was happening by using Firebug, and I noticed that there was no POST made to that external site. What am I doing wrong here?

  • SQL code to display counts() of value retrieved from another column

    I have three tables (these are the relevant columns): Table1 bookingid, person, role Table2 bookingid, projectid Table3 projectid, project, numberofrole1, numberofrole2 Table1.role can take two values: "role1" or "role2". What I want to do is to show which projects don't have the correct number of roles in Table1. The number of roles there there should be for each role is in Table3. For example, if Table1 contains these three rows: bookingid, person, role 7, Tim, role1 7, Bob, role1, 7, Charles, role2 and Table2 bookingid, projectid 7, 1 and Table3 projectid, project, numberofrole1, numberofrole2 1, Test1, 2, 2 I would like the results to show that there are not the correct number of role2s for project Test1. To be honest, something like this is a bit beyond my ability, so I'm open to suggestions on the best way to do this. I'm using sqlite and php (it's only a small project). I suppose I could do something with the php at the end once I've got my results, but I wondered if there was a better way to do it with sqlite. I started by doing something like this: SELECT project, COUNT(numberofrole1) as "Role" FROM Table1 JOIN Table2 USING (projectid) JOIN Table3 USING (bookingid) WHERE role="role1" GROUP BY project But I can't work out how to compare the value returned as "Role" with the value got from numberofrole1 Any help is gratefully received.

    Hello, is it possible, in Eclipse, to mark certain lines with Shortcuts and be able to quickly jump to those lines? Example: Let's say I have maintenanceHeavyMethod() at line 120 in my class, gameLoop() at line 800 and some listener at line 1460. I'd like to f.ex. press CTRL-SHIFT-1, 2, 3 etc. to mark those positions, and then use f.ex. CTRL-1, 2, 3 to immediately jump to them. I don't like split-screens etc, but I need to jump around when writing. Is there such a feature? I'm using latest Eclipse to write Java-programs.

I want to put all of these into a separate file (for OOP-ness), but I don't know the best way to #include that. Do I just put them all into a .c file, then include that? Seems silly to put these in a .h file.
