    Are Zend_Db_Select's where() method, when including the optional value to quite into, and Zend_Db_Adapte's quoteInto() methods basically the same as far as escaping SQL? In other words, are these two pieces of quote identical and equally secure? $select->where($this->getAdapter()->quoteInto('id = ?', 3)); $select->where(id = ?, 3); Thanks!

  • Limiting number of text lines in a table cell

    I have a table cell where I need to limit the text to a max of two lines. I tried achieving this by placing an inner div with a limited height: div { border: 1px solid #EECCDD; width: 100px; height: 40px; overflow: hidden; } <div> <p>bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla</p> </div> <div> <p>bla bla bla bla</p> </div> However, in this case the cells which have only one line of text are not vertically aligned to the middle. I know there are ways to vertically align a text within a div, but most of the ones I found seemed a bit complicated and/or hacky (like this one), and felt like a bit of an overkill. Is there a different way to effectively limit the number of lines inside the cell, or a simple way to align the text in the way I did it?

    I got an error from my code, but I'm not sure where to fix it. Here's the explanation of what my code does: I'm writing some code that will read an input file and store each line as an object (char type) in an array. The first line of the input file is a number. This number tells me how many lines that I should read and store in the array.     I have a Java application that I am considering releasing over the web as an applet. I am concerned about java-savvy end users being able to somehow view the source code, given that my web server would be sending the code to their remote jvm when they try to use the applet. What precautions can be taken to ensure that end users are never able to directly view source code of an applet? I am hoping that release as an applet might somehow protect the privacy of the code more than releasing an application with downloadable jars that the user could just unzip. Is this true?

  • (Python) Extracting Text from Source Code?

    Currently have a large webpage whose source code is ~200,000 lines of almost all (if not all) HTML. More specifically, it is a webpage whose content is a few thousand blocks of paragraphs separated by line breaks (though a line break does not specifically mean there is a separation in content) My main objective is to extract text from the source code as if I were copying/pasting the webpage into a text editor. There is another parsing function I would like to use, which originally took in copied/pasted text rather than the source code. To do this, I'm currently using urllib2, and calling .get_text() in Beautiful Soup. The problem is, Beautiful Soup is leaving tremendous amounts of white space in my code, and it is difficult to pass the result into the second "text" parser. I have done quite a bit of research on parsing HTMLs, but I'm frankly not sure how to solve this problem easily. Furthermore, I'm a bit confused on how to use imports like lxml to extract text as if I were to simply copy and paste?

    Unsure how to best achieve this. NSDate *date = [NSDate date]; I need to do a lookup on the date and return a string value. 12/17/2011 < date < 12/23/2011 return "20120101" 12/24/2011 < date < 12/30/2012 return "20120102" 12/31/2011 < date < 01/06/2012 return "20120201" ... 10/20/2012 < date < 10/26/2012 return "20122301" ... 11/02/2013 < date < 11/08/2013 return "20132301" .. for 5 years... for each week date can be any date until Dec. 2017. I do not know the logic behind the return strings so I can't simply calculate the string based on the date. The return string (converted to NSDate in the model) is used successfully as my section for my fetchedresultscontroller. I am not sure how to create a lookup table based on an NSDate or if I need some monster if/case statement.

  • rake migration aborted: could not find table 'roles'

    I just inherited code that I'm attempting to run the migrations for but I keep getting a rake aborted error. I've come across others that have what appears to be similar issues, but most involved Heroku and I'm trying to run this locally (to start.) I've tried troubleshooting using both PostgreSQL and SQLite, and both produce the same issue. The table "roles" referenced is the second migration called, so I'm having a hard time figuring out what is causing it to not get built. Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated.   • NPS wont run or install error code 0x80070643

    attempt to install network policy server failed with error code 0x80070643 fatal error during installation. The sbs server ran an update on friday and since then NPS has not worked, I have checked permissions on system32\IAS and the builtin OU but still cannot run NPS. My last attempt to removed and reinstall has now left the machine unable to install NPS at all! Has anyone seen this or have a direction to suggest? Other google's have shown people haven't resolved it!

Code: 5. access is denied" There is one button: OK. I can click the button, but nothing happens. I have to kill the Timeslips.exe process and re-open the software. This suggests a (10.4 only?) solution, but although i have the developer tools installed i don't have /Library/Spotlight/SourceCode.mdimporter.     I have a MSDN Subscription and downloaded Windows 8.1 RTM today. It fails to install. After mounting the ISO and installing (with a Windows 8.1 Pro product code), selecting "Keep my apps and settings", it copies all installation files, restarts and then bluescreens at around 50%, then rolls back to the previous version. System has 64 GB Memory, Supermicro, Xeon E5-1650, Intel SSD, runs Hyper-V, Windows 8 Pro. What may be causing this and how do I fix it?
