• How do I register multiple paths for a HttpHandler in IIS7?

  I have a HttpHandler that resizes images based on the querystring, so requesting something like: http://server/image.jpg?width=320&height=240 will give you a resized image that's 320x240. In the IIS Manager, under Handler Mappings, I mapped my handler's path as *.jpg,*.gif,*.bmp,*.png. However, this doesn't activate the handler. If I change it to just *.jpg, then it works. My question is, do I have to create 4 separate mapping entries, one for each image type, or is there some way to combine multiple extensions in one path?

• Jquery: Extracting the hrefs from multiple links on a page.

  Hi, I discovered that .attr() only applies to the first matched element on the page! So, I've been trying to get the hrefs from all the matched elements on a page, but to no avail. Here's what I tentatively wrote: var thelinks = $("td a").each(function(){ $(this).attr("href"); document.write(thelinks); }); I used document.write just to see what was going on, and I got a long list of "undefinedundefinedundefined" What I'm trying to do is extract the hrefs from each td a and then use ajax to visit those pages and do other stuff. I can get it work fine when it's dealing with just one link, but this multiple elements thing I can't figure out. Any help rendered is appreciated, I'm a novice to the world of Javascript and Jquery.

  I have a page with multiple forms that I submit via Ajax POSTs serially. At first, I tried using synchronous XHR requests, but this causes the browser to lock up for the duration of the request, and breaks my DOM-manipulation effects, which is unacceptable. (http:\/\/[^"].*?\.mp4)[",].*? How can I make it match only the last url only? Note that, the lines may contain any number of urls and anything in between. But only the last url contains .mp4 ending.

• Multiple classes in body tag, multi-dimensional css structure or blueprint for insanity?

  This question is about an approach to css structuring, and so is more discussion oriented. I'm working with some outsourced css where the body tags have multiple classes assigned, up to half a dozen. (To make things a little worse, none of the css selectors include an html tag which is making it confusing to analyze the css.) These body classes are then used to modify classed or id'd widgets within. It seems like this approach is like adding an additional dimension to the css, perhaps in some attempt to create a structured css approach. Documentation might have helped, had we been provided any. This differs from my approach where widgets are styled primarily via id'd divs, perhaps extracting the more generic elements into a class, i.e. div#MyWidget.widgets. Any ideas on whether such an approach is maintainable, especially considering I am dealing with websites with thousands of pages including tons of legacy stuff, all done by different people with different skill levels?   I have a form that contains 5 check boxes. The user may select one or more of these check boxes. The user may select 2 and leave 3 unchecked or select 4 and leave one unchecked and so on, in that case how can I write the php/mysql code that will insert the form data into the database. With just one selection it's easy, I would do: $checkbox_value = $_POST['i_agree']; mysql_query("INSERT INTO terms (user, pass, conditions) VALUES ('$user','$pass','$checkbox_value')"); But how can I write this when there are multiple check box options and only one or more of them will be checked? I want to insert them all in one column called "tags" separated by commas.

• Using Sandy 3D AS3, fill the viewport (exact fit) with multiple 3D objects.

  I'm stitching together an image using multiple instances of the sandy.primitive.Box. Each box is 96x91 while the viewport is 960x273 which should make for an exact fit if I layout the boxes in a perfect grid of 10x3. However, I can't seem to get the exact camera fieldOfView. I've tried a couple formulas (one for adjusting the "focal length" and one for adjusting the fov, directly). Both of these formulas produce a fov angle that is too narrow. // focal length (stage.stageHeight/2) / Math.tan(cam.fov / 2 * Math.PI / 180) // field of view 2 * Math.atan2( (stage.stageHeight/2), -cam.z ) * (180 / Math.PI) Another question about the same project: I need to adjust the perspective of each cube so that the image appears to be in 2D space (flat)... Any ideas on the best method for calculating such a "correction"?

  I can move my pointer up and down one line with my arrow key just fine in Emacs, so I'd like to redefine C-n and C-p to move up and down 5 lines at a time. I'm just beginning to learn how to use Emacs, and elisp is very alien to me. I tried using the GNU Emacs lisp reference, but I couldn't find how to bind a keystroke to multiple commands. Here's what I have so far (concentrating on the moving up definition): (global-set-key "\C-p" '(loop for i in '(1 2 3 4 5) do ('previous-line))) But, this brings up an error message when I hit C-p, "Wrong type argument."   I am trying to come up with the most efficient database as possible. My bus routes all have about 10 stops. The bus starts at number one until it reaches the 10th stop, then it comes back again. This cycle happens 3 times a day. I am really stuck as to how I can efficiently generate the times for the buses and where I should store the stops. If I put all the stops in one field and the times in another, the database won't be very dynamic. If I store all the stops one by one in a column and then the times in another column, there will be a lot of repeating happening further down as one stop has multiple times. Maybe I am missing something, I've only just started learning SQL and this is a task we have been set. Thanks in advance.

  I have a game built in a java environment and I use JVM. I have 4 cores @ 2.4Ghz and my server is only using one of those cores... I've tried and searched and I still have no guides to setup multiple cores to run the game like, say 1 core for running the character saving + loading, and 1 core for the server itself, and 1 core for a helper to help other cores that need more power. I don't even know if this is possible but this is all in java the operating machine is windows server 2003 and I've tried so hard I just don't know what to do. May someone please help me!   Hopefully this is a straightforward question, but googling has proved fruitless (and frustrating, to say the least). Links to good documentation would be greatly appreciated. Here's the problem. We have a web application with an associated ActiveX control. (The control wraps a crufty old MFC application if it matters.) Moving forward, we expect to release multiple versions of this application, and each will have a corresponding version of the control. If someone accesses two versions of the web application, then that user should end up with two different versions of the control on his system. (The controls should play nice and not clobber each other.) In addition, I want to automate this process. Our system has a global version number that applies to all components. If we change the version number, the next build should produce a new version of the control. What's the best way to do this?

  I'm working on a GUI application in Swing+Clojure that requires various mutable pieces of data (e.g. scroll position, user data, filename, selected tool options etc.). I can see at least three different ways of handling this set of data: Create a ref to a map of all the data: (def data (ref { :filename "filename.xml" :scroll [0 0] })) Create a map of refs to the individual data elements: (def datamap { :filename (ref "filename.xml") :scroll (ref [0 0]) })) Create a separate ref for each in the namespace: (def scroll (ref [0 0])) (def filename (ref "filename.xml")) Note: This data will be accessed concurrently, e.g. by background processing threads or the Swing event handling thread. However there probably isn't a need for consistent transactional updates of multiple elements. What would be your recommended approach and why?

If i add a Fetch at the end, it refers to the VacationRequestDate table If i add a ThenFetch at the end, it refers to the RequestStatus table I can't find any api that will refer to the VacationRequest table as the reference point. how would you add multiple joins to a joined table using nhibernate LINQ ?

• Why is my onSharedPreferenceChangeListener being called multiple times when I change a pref.

  I've written an app with 3 tabs. Each tab has the same list view with different data sources. I have setup SharedPreferences in the tabhost activity, but I put my onSharedPreferenceChangeListener method in my listactivity. When I change a preference, my listener gets called and it updates my database. This is all working. However, if I change the data in tab 1, it calls my listener once. If I change the data for tab 2 it calls it twice and if I change the data in tab 3 it calls it three times. Any idea why it works this way? I guess I could setup my shared prefs in my listactivity and that might avoid the issue, but I'm curious why my listener is called multiple times if it's in a different tab. brockoli

We have set up a document library that, by default, gives everyone access to everything. This is the desired top-level permission set because most items will work well this way. The problem is that I have a bunch of documents I want to add and apply some specific permissions to. I can do this, but...please tell me there is some way I can do this for multiple documents at the same time. Attempting to do this one-by-one is a pain and I'm hoping for a better solution here.   We are developing an application that communicates, via web services or TCP/IP sockets, with multiple servers (up to 50 different external companies). Basically, the exchanged messages are the same (XML), but depending on the inputs of our application we should call 1 or more external servers. The benefits we would expect of introducing a Service Bus in the architecture would be: 1- Remove the need to manage all point-to-point configurations (all the 50 endpoints); 2- Simplify the communication layer of our application by having only one server to talk to; Is a Service Bus a good architectural option for this scenario? What is the best (simplest) Service Bus for this kind of communication? I read a few MSDN articles on Azure Service Bus Relay, but it didn’t seem to fit our needs. Am I wrong? Thanks for your help.

  Say you have a JMS queue, and multiple consumers are watching the queue for messages. You want one of the consumers to get all of a particular type of message, so you decide to employ message selectors. For example, you define a property to go in your JMS message header named, "targetConsumer." Your message selector, which you apply to the consumer known as, "A," is something like "WHERE targetConsumer = "CONSUMER_A." It's clear that consumer A will now just grab messages with the property set like it is in in the example. Will the other consumers have awareness of that, though? IOW, will another consumer, unconstrained by a message selector, grab the "CONSUMER_A" messages, if it looks at the queue before Consumer A? Do I need to apply message selectors like, "WHERE targetConsumer < "CONSUMER_A" to the others? I am RTFMing and gathering empirical data now, but was hoping someone might know off the top of their head.
