How to compare page views/visitors to site totals in Google Analytics?

I want to measure the effects in total traffic (views or visitors) of a single URL across a time frame. For example, let's say I published a blog post on July 2012. I want to measure what chunk of the site's total traffic is coming to this particular post on a month-by-month graph from July 2012 to date. Is there a way to do this? Edit: I should clarify that what I'd like to do is to generate a month-to-month graph, similar to the one you can see comparing a metric on a period of time against the previous equivalent period (year vs last year, for example) but comparing a particular URL traffic to the site's total traffic. In other words, I can get to the part where I can see the URL's traffic for the timeframe I selected and it shows how much of the total traffic corresponds to the current URL: But I'd like to add a second line to the graph, representing the site's total pageviews, similiar to this (but this one is showing just a different metric for the same URL): Thanks!

When Logged out, one blog shows - logged in, all blogs show

I've coded this Wordpress site but I'm finding difficulties with the blog area. Only one blog shows in the blog section but with I am logged in as an admin, I can see all the blogs on the page. I need it to show for everyone, whether they are logged in as a user or just a visitor to the website. I have attempted to see if it was a wordpress issue by checking the 'Settings Reading' settings and they are set just fine, showing to be 10 posts per page.. It could be something wrong with the loop. jquery-autocomplete does not work with my django app.

Hi everybody, I have a problem with the jquery-autocomplete pluging and my django script. I want an easy to use autocomplete plugin. And for what I see this (http://code.google.com/p/jquery-autocomplete/) one seems very usefull and easy. For the django part I use this (http://code.google.com/p/django-ajax-selects/) I modified it a little, because the out put looked a little bit weired to me. It had 2 '\n' for each new line, and there was no Content-Length Header in the response. First I thought this could be the problem, because all the online examples I found had them. But that was not the problem. When you enter this in your browser you get this response: 4|Bier|Bier 43|Kolumbien|Kolumbien 33|Namibia|Namibia Now my ajax call get the correct response, but there is still no list showing up with all the possible entries. I tried also to format the output, but this doesn't work either. I set brakepoints to the function and realized that they won't be called at all. This will probably just be a simple problem and I am just blind or an idiot but I could use some help. So I am going over some basic guides in Rails, reviewing the basics and such for an upcoming exam. One of the guides included was the sort-of-standard getting started guide over at guide.rubyonrails.org. Here is the link if you need it. Also all my code is for my app is from there, so I have no problem releasing any of my code since it should be the same as shown there. I didn't do a copy paste, but I basically was typing with Vim in one half of my screen and the web page in the other half, typing what I see. http://guides.rubyonrails.org/getting_started.html So like I said, I am going along the guide when I noticed past a certain point in the tutorial, I was always getting an error on the site. To find the section of code, just hit Ctrl+f on the page (or whatever you have search/find set to) and enter "accepts_". Why do some Flask session values disappear from the session after closing the browser window, but then reappear later without me adding them?

So my understanding of Flask sessions is that I can use it like a dictionary and add values to a session by doing: session['key name'] = 'some value here' And that works fine. On a route I have the client call using AJAX post, I assign a value to the session. And it works fine. I can click on various pages of my site and the value stays in the session. If I close the browser window however, and then go back to my site, the session value I had in there is gone. So that's weird and you would think the problem is the session isn't permanent. I also implemented Flask-Openid and that uses the session to store information and that does persist if I close the browser window and open it back up again. I also checked the cookie after closing the browser window, but before going back to my site, and the cookie is indeed still there. Another odd piece of behaviour (which may be related) is that some values I have written to the session for testing purposes will go away when I access the AJAX post route and assign the correct value. So that is odd, but what is truly weird is that when I then close the browser window and open it up again, and have thus lost the value I was trying to retain, the ones that I lost previously actually return! They aren't being reassigned because there's no code in my Python files to reassign those values. Here is some outputs to helper make it clearer. They are all outputed from a route for a real page, and not the AJAX post route I mentioned above. This is the output after I have assigned the value I want to store in the session. The value key is 'userid' - all the other values are dummy ones I have added in trying to solve this problem. 'userid': 8 will stay in the session as long as I don't close the browser window. I can access other routes and the value will stay there just like it should. ['session.=', <SecureCookieSession {'userid': 8, 'test_variable_num': 102, 'adding using before request': 'hi', '_permanent': True, 'test_variable_text': 'hi!'}>] If I do close the browser window, and go back into the site, but without redoing the AJAX post request, I get this output: ['session.=', <SecureCookieSession {'adding using before request': 'hi', '_permanent': True, 'yo': 'yo'}>] The 'yo' value was not in the first first output. I don't know where it came from. I searched my code for 'yo' and there is no instances of me assigning that value anywhere. I think I may have added it to the session days ago. So it seems like it is persisting, but being hidden when the other values are written. And this last one is me accessing the AJAX post route again, and then going to the page that prints out the keys using debug. Same output as the first output I pasted above, which you would expect, and the 'yo' value is gone again (but it will come back if I close the browser window) ['session.=', <SecureCookieSession {'userid': 8, 'test_variable_num': 102, 'adding using before request': 'hi', '_permanent': True, 'test_variable_text': 'hi!'}>] I tested this in both Chrome and Firefox. So I find this all weird and I am guessing it stems from a misunderstanding of how sessions work. I think they're dictionaries and I can write dictionary values into them and retrieve them days later as long as I set the session to permanent and the cookie doesn't get deleted. Any ideas why this weird behaviour is happening?

Loop results executing twice

I creating a simple site with PHP where the users can submit blogs and other users (who are logged in) can post comments on them. I have made a link called "comments" below each blog that when clicked will show / hide all the comments relevant to the specific blog (also if the user is logged in, it will show a form field in which they can submit new comments). So basically each blog will have multiple comments. I have done two different codes for this but they both have the same problem that each comment appears twice (everything else works fine). iPhone Store Kit "Cannot connect to iTunes Store"

Hi, I am working on adding In-App purchases to my app. I am able to receive the productsRequest:didReceiveResponse method, and receive the array of products. My problem arises when I add a SKPayment to the SKPaymentQueue. After I add the product to the queue, in the paymentQueue:updatedTransactions method the transactions always have the state SKPaymentTransactionStateFailed. I NSLog the "transaction.error" and this is what it returns: Error Domain=SKErrorDomain Code=0 UserInfo=0x165000 "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" I have logged out of the Store in the Settings app, but after trying to purchase a product in my app it never asks me to log in with my test account. In fact, it's just a Sequence with a Receive and [currently] a custom Activity called InvokeActivity. Get to that in a bit. Receive Activity accepts a custom type, [DataContract] public class Workflow { [DataMember] public string Xaml { get; set; } } which contains a string whose contents are to be interpreted as Xaml. You can see the VB expression that then converts this Xaml to an Activity and passes it on. Now this second bit, the custom InvokeActivity is where I have questions. First question: 1) given an arbitrary task, provided at runtime [as described above] is it possible to kick off this Activity using Activities that ship with WF4RC, out of the box? Unfortunately, however, this fails. When I attempt to schedule said Activity, the runtime returns with the following exception The provided activity was not part of this workflow definition when its metadata was being processed. The problematic activity named 'DynamicActivity' was provided by the activity named 'InvokeActivity'. Right, so the "dynamic" Activity provided at runtime is not a member of InvokeActivitys metadata. Googled and came across this. Couldn't sort out how to specify an InArgument<Activity> to metadata cache, so my second question is, naturally, how does one address this issue? Is it ill advised to use context.ScheduleActivity (...) in this manner? Third and final, 3) I have settled on this [simpler] solution for the time being, public sealed class InvokeActivity : NativeActivity { private static readonly ILog _log = LogManager.GetLogger (typeof (InvokeActivity)); public InArgument<Activity> Activity { get; set; } public InvokeActivity () { _log.DebugFormat ("Instantiated."); } protected override void Execute (NativeActivityContext context) { Activity activity = Activity.Get (context); _log.DebugFormat ("Invoking activity [{0}] ...", activity.DisplayName); // synchronous execution ... a little less than ideal, this // seems heavy handed, and not entirely semantic-equivalent // to what i want. i really want to invoke this runtime // activity as if it were one of my own, not a separate // process - wrong mentality? WorkflowInvoker.Invoke (activity); _log.DebugFormat ("Invoked activity [{0}].", activity.DisplayName); } } Which simply invokes specified task synchronously within its own runtime instance thingy [use of WF4 vernacular is certainly questionable]. Eventually, I would like to tap into WF's tracking and possibly persistance facilities. So my third and final question is, in terms of what I would like to do [ie kick off arbitrary workflows inbound from client applications] is this the preferred method? In Email, Image (img) Source (src) Tags are rewritten as relative links. How to fix?

I'm working on sending out an html based email, and every time it sends the image src tags and some of the anchor href tags are modified to be relative url's. Update 2: This is happening between when the body of the email is generated and sent and when it arrives in my inbox. Update: I am using Postfix on a LAMPP server. In addition, I am using Zend_Mail to send the emails out. For example, I have a link: src="http://www.furnituretrainingcompany.com/images/email/highpoint_2009_04/header.jpg" And it gets rewritten as: src="../../../../images/email/highpoint_2009_04/header.jpg" What can cause this to occur and how is it corrected? Redmine error undefined local variable 'usage' when recieving email

I posted this on the Redmine forum about 20 days ago but am having no luck finding an answer, so I thought I'd see if I can find some love here: Somewhere during an upgrade to RM I lost the ability to have RM receive email. It was running just beautifully on 8.5. Some while back I upgraded and was not using the receive email feature for some time. At 9.2 and, now, 0.9.3.stable.3625, I'm getting an error in the procmail.log file: undefined local variable or method `usage' for #<RedmineMailHandler:0x6c14d34bb0a0> (NameError) I have a SVN install and used it, just tonight, to update the the 9.3 stable version. I walked through all the upgrade steps and everything seems to work fine, except for this. In rdm-redminehandler.rb I commented out the offending 'usage' line and got another error: 422 Unprocessable Entity

Strange error occurring when using wcf to run query against sql server

Hi all, I am building an asp.net application, using II6 on windows server 2003 (vps hosting). I am confronted with an error I didn't receive on my development machine (windows 7, iis 7.5, 64 bit). When my wcf service tries launching my query running against a local sql server this is the error I receive: Memory gates checking failed because the free memory (43732992 bytes) is less than 5% of total memory. As a result, the service will not be available for incoming requests. To resolve this, either reduce the load on the machine or adjust the value of minFreeMemoryPercentageToActivateService on the serviceHostingEnvironment config element. and ideas??

Hi, I'm trying to write a small application that simply reads data from a socket, extracts some information (two integers) from the data and sends the extracted information off on a serial port. The idea is that it should start and just keep going. In short, it works, but not for long. After a consistently short period I start to receive IOExceptions and socket receive buffer is swamped. The thread framework has been taken from the MSDN serial port example. The delay in send(), readThread.Join(), is an effort to delay read() in order to allow serial port interrupt processing a chance to occur, but I think I've misinterpreted the join function. I either need to sync the processes more effectively or throw some data away as it comes in off the socket, which would be fine. How to (pre)start xamlx workflow service

Related to this question. I have a xamlx workflow service that loads part of its definition from a database when it runs (using ActivityXamlServices.Load). Reason for this is that I need versioning, see the related question. I'll use WCF routing to direct calls to the right service. The part that I load dynamically contains a Receive activity. However, this activity is 'invisible' as long as the workflow doesn't start because the part of the workflow I load from the database is only loaded when the workflow starts. So from the outside it appears as if there is no Receive activity in the workflow. Apart from not being able to generate a contract for the workflow service, I can't call the service either. My first attempt was to do a soap call with the right contract on the workflow service. However, the runtime doesn't automagically activate my workflow in that case. So the question is, how do I start a workflow that is hosted inside IIS? Regards, Ronald

How to detect Javascript pop-up notifications in WatiN?

I have a, what seems to be, rather common scenario I'm trying to work through. I have a site that accepts input through two different text fields. If the input is malformed or invalid, I receive a Javascript pop-up notification. I will not always receive one, but I should in the event of (like I said earlier) malformed data, or when a search result couldn't be found. How can I detect this in WatiN? A quick Google search produced results that show how to click through them, but I'm curious as to whether or not I can detect when I get one? In case anyone is wondering, I'm using WatiN to do some screen scraping for me, rather than integration testing :) Thanks in advance! Ian

SLES 9 vs. SLES 10

Are there any important change in how SLES 10 implements Tcp sockets vs. SLES 9? I have several apps written in C# (.NET 3.5) that run on Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. They've been running fine for over a year, getting market data from a SLES 9 machine using a socket connection. The machine was upgraded today to SLES 10 and its causing some strange behavior. The socket normally returns a few hundred or thousand bytes every second. But occasionally, I stop receiving data. Ten or more seconds will go by with no data and then Receive returns with a 10k+ bytes. And some buffer is causing data loss because the bytes I receive on the socket no longer make a correct packet. The only thing changed was the SLES 9 to 10 upgrade. And rolling back fixes this immediately. Any ideas?

Hi, I just signed up for the iPhone Developer Program (the $99 one), I filled it all out, was directed to the store and completed the purchase. However, when I go to the member center it says I have not completed the purchase: Your Developer Program Enrollment Status: Once you've completed your purchase, you will receive an Order Acknowledgement email from the Apple Online Store and an Activation email within 24 hours from Apple Developer Support. The email from Apple Developer Support will contain information on how to access the resources of your Program. With a link directing me to a page that adds the program to my cart in the Apple store. (A process I have already been through with a success message at the end) Is this what has happened to everyone else? Aren't I supposed to receive an email from Apple at least confirming the purchase? I have received nothing. Thanks a lot.

Hello, I would like to understand better exactly what is going on when Apache on linux receive an HTTP request in a process pre-fork model. Let's say we have 20 Apache child processes waiting. When I receive an HTTP request, is it true to say that 1 child process will be chosen to handle the request and that this process won't handle another request from another user until the first one is finished ? I am asking the question because of a PHP limitation that states : The locale information is maintained per process, not per thread. If you are running PHP on a multithreaded server API like IIS or Apache on Windows, you may experience sudden changes in locale settings while a script is running, though the script itself never called setlocale().
