  • Is this state-of-the-art Ajax/jQuery, or should I do it differently?

    - by AP257
    Hi everyone: I'm using Ajax and jQuery to do some cool client-side stuff. Basically, if the user chooses a subject from a from a drop-down list, I want to auto-populate the page with a set of book details. However, I've built the Ajax from Google results and bits of string. I don't know if what I've done is up-to-date, or whether there are now much neater ways of doing it! Here's what I have: can it be improved? $("#subjectlist").change(function() { if (window.XMLHttpRequest) { xmlhttp=new XMLHttpRequest(); } else { xmlhttp=new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP"); } xmlhttp.onreadystatechange=function() { if (xmlhttp.readyState==4 && xmlhttp.status==200) { var book_details = eval(xmlhttp.responseText); alert(book_details[0]["url"]); // To be added: extra code to populate HTML results. document.getElementById("book_results").innerHTML=xmlhttp.responseText; } } xmlhttp.open("GET","/subject_json/?id=" + $("#subjectlist").val(),true); xmlhttp.send(); }); Thanks for any advice!

  • How to check a bool setting in my iphone app

    - by dusk
    I have a setting in Root.plist with Key = 'latestNews' of type PSToggleSwitchSpecifier and DefaultValue as a boolean that is checked. If I understand that correctly, it should = YES when I pull it in to my code. I'm trying to check that value and set an int var to pass it to my php script. What is happening is that my boolean is either nil or NO and then my int var = 0. What am I doing wrong? int latestFlag; NSUserDefaults *prefs = [NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults]; BOOL latestNews = [prefs boolForKey:@"latestNews"]; if (latestNews) latestFlag = 1; else latestFlag = 0; NSString *urlstr = [[NSString alloc] initWithFormat:@"http://www.mysite.com/folder/iphone-test.php?latest=%d", latestFlag]; NSURL *url = [[NSURL alloc] initWithString:urlstr]; //these are auto-released NSString *ans = [NSString stringWithContentsOfURL:url]; NSArray *listItems = [ans componentsSeparatedByString:@","]; self.listData = listItems; [urlstr release]; [url release];

  • Getting the full-name of the current user, returns an empty string (C#/C++)

    - by Nir
    I try to get the full-name of the current log-in user (Fullname, not username). The following code C#, C++ works fine but on XP computers not connected to the Net, I get empty string as result if I run it ~20 minutes after login (It runs OK whithin the first ~20 minutes after login) A Win32 API (GetUserNameEx) is used rather that PrincipalContext since it PrincipalContext may takes up to 15 seconds when working offline. Any Help why am I getting an empty string as result though a user full name is specified??? - C# Code public static string CurrentUserFullName { get { const int EXTENDED_NAME_FORMAT_NAME_DISPLAY = 3; StringBuilder userName = new StringBuilder(256); uint length = (uint) userName.Capacity; string ret; if (GetUserNameEx(EXTENDED_NAME_FORMAT_NAME_DISPLAY, userName, ref length)) { ret = userName.ToString(); } else { int errorCode = Marshal.GetLastWin32Error(); throw new Win32Exception("GetUserNameEx Failed. Error code - " + errorCode); } return ret; } } [DllImport("Secur32.dll", CharSet = CharSet.Auto, SetLastError = true)] private static extern bool GetUserNameEx(int nameFormat, StringBuilder lpNameBuffer, ref uint lpnSize); - Code in C++ #include "stdafx.h" #include <windows.h> #define SECURITY_WIN32 #include <Security.h> #pragma comment( lib, "Secur32.lib" ) int _tmain(int argc, _TCHAR* argv[]) { char szName[100]; ULONG nChars = sizeof( szName ); if ( GetUserNameEx( NameDisplay, szName, &nChars ) ) { printf( "Name: %s\n", szName); } else { printf( "Failed to GetUserNameEx\n" ); printf( "%d\n", GetLastError() ); } return 0; }

  • Will this web service accept both raw xml and an object?

    - by ChadNC
    We have a web service that provides auto insurance quotes and a company that provides an insurance agency management system would like to use the web service for thier client but they want to pass the web service raw xml instead of using the wsdl to create a port, the object the service expects and calling the web method. The web service has performed flawlessly by creating an object like so com.insurance.quotesvc.AgencyQuote service = new com.insurance.quotesvc.AgencyQuote(); com.insurance.quotesvc.QuotePortType port = service.getQuotePortType(); com.insurance.quotesvc.schemas.request.ACORD parameter = null; Then create initialize the request object with the other objects that make up the response. parameter = factory.createACORD(); parameter.setSignonRq(signOn); parameter.setInsurancesSvcRq(svcRq); And send the request to the web service. com.insurance.quotesvc.schemas.response.ACORD result = null; result = port.requestQuote(parameter); By doing that I am able to easily marshall the request and the result into an xml file and do with them as I wish. So if a client was to send the web service via an http post as raw xml inside of a soap envelope. Would the web service be able to handle the xml without any changes being made to the web service or would there need to be changes made to the web service in order for it to handle a request of that type? The web service is a JAX_WS and we currently have both Java and C# clients consuming the web service using the method described above but now there is another client who wants to send raw xml inside of a soap envelope instead of creating the objects. I feel pretty sure that they will be making the call to the web service using vb. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious but it is eluding me at the moment and any help is greatly appreciated.

  • after assembling jar - No Persistence provider for EntityManager named ....

    - by alabalaa
    im developing a standalone application and it works fine when starting it from my ide(intellij idea), but after creating an uberjar and start the application from it javax.persistence.spi.PersistenceProvider is thrown saying "No Persistence provider for EntityManager named testPU" here is my persistence.xml which is placed under meta-inf directory: <persistence-unit name="testPU" transaction-type="RESOURCE_LOCAL"> <provider>org.hibernate.ejb.HibernatePersistence</provider> <class>test.model.Configuration</class> <properties> <property name="hibernate.connection.username" value="root"/> <property name="hibernate.connection.driver_class" value="com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"/> <property name="hibernate.connection.password" value="root"/> <property name="hibernate.connection.url" value="jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/test"/> <property name="hibernate.show_sql" value="true"/> <property name="hibernate.dialect" value="org.hibernate.dialect.MySQLInnoDBDialect"/> <property name="hibernate.c3p0.timeout" value="300"/> <property name="hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto" value="update"/> </properties> </persistence-unit> and here is how im creating the entity manager factory: emf = Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory("testPU"); im using maven and tried the assembly plug-in with the default configuration fot it, i dont have much experience with assembling jars and i dont know if im missing something, so if u have any ideas ill be glad to hear them

  • How do I avoid killing the native controls on a html5-video when i've started it programmaticly?

    - by Nils
    OK, so the deal is I've started making a little videoplayer, that works by clicking a div with an image, expanding the div and the image, and then exchanges the image with a html5-videotag. the code is as below. (It's very early on, so i know theres a lot that need improving, as in not using javascript to set styles and so on, but nevertheless, any insigts and tips are welcome, besides the answer to the main question) /*Begin Expander*/ var $videoplayer = $('<video width="640" height="360" preload="none" controls="" tabindex="0" style="position: relative;"><source type="video/mp4" src="/restalive/movies/big_buck_bunny.mp4"></source><source type="video/ogg" src="/restalive/movies/big_buck_bunny.ogv"></source></video>').appendTo('body'); $videoplayer.hide(); $(".ExpandVideo").each(function(i){ var $trigger = $(this); var $image = $trigger.find("img"); $image.css({ "width" : "100%" ,"height" : "auto" }) $trigger.css({ "display" : "block" ,"overflow" : "hidden" ,"width" : "200px" ,"float" : "left" }); $trigger.bind("click", function(e){ $trigger.animate({"width" : "640px"}, "fast", function(){ $image.replaceWith($videoplayer); $videoplayer.show(); $videoplayer.attr("id", "video" + i); var video = document.getElementById("video" + i); video.play(); }) }) }); However, the main problem is that when i've fired of the video like this (video.play()), the native controls stop working, i can no longer pause the video, even though the controls are there, and clickable, the video just starts playing immidiatley again when i trie to pause it. Which is a shame, because i want to use the native controls for simplicity.

  • Easy way to "organize"/"render"/"generate" HTML?

    - by Rockmaninoff
    Hi all, I'm a relative newbie to web development. I know my HTML and CSS, and am getting involved with Ruby on Rails for some other projects, which has been daunting but very rewarding. Basically I'm wondering if there's a language/backbone/program/solution to eliminate the copypasta trivialities of HTML, with some caveats. Currently my website is hosted on a school server and unfortunately can't use Rails. Being a newbie I also don't really know what other technologies are available to me (or even what those technologies might be). I'm essentially looking for a way to auto-insert all of my header/sidebar/footer/menu information, and when those need to be updated, the rest of the pages get updated. Right now, I have a sidebar that is a tree of all of the pages on my website. When I add a page, not only do I need to update the sidebar, I have to update it for every page in my domain. This is really inefficient and I'm wondering if there is a better way. I imagine this is a pretty widespread problem, but searching Google turns up too many irrelevant links (design template websites, tutorials, etc.). I'd appreciate any help. Oh, and I've heard of HAML as a way to render HTML; how would it be used in this situation?

  • How To Correctly Specify A Default Value For A String Field In A PHP/MySQL Prepared Statement

    - by Joshua
    I'm trying to debug some auto-generated code, but I am a mySQL noob. Everything goes fine ultil the "prepare" line below, and then for some reason $mysqli_stmt is false, yielding the stated error. Could it have something to do with the SQL_MODE = 'ANSI'? The failure seems to have something to do with the string 'xxx' below, but it still happens no matter what I change it to. This value is meant to be a default value for the TickerDigest field, but strangely if I change 'xxx' to 'c_u_TickerDigest', then it suddenly works, but the TickerDigest field is inserted as 'null' when I look in the database. $mysqli = mysqli_init(); $mysqli->options(MYSQLI_INIT_COMMAND, "SET SQL_MODE = 'ANSI'"); $mysqli->real_connect(SR_Host,SR_Username,SR_Password,SR_Database) or die('Unable to connect to Database'); $sql_stmt = 'INSERT INTO "t_sr_u_Product"("c_u_Name", "c_u_Code", "c_u_TickerDigest") VALUES (?, ?, "xxx")'; $mysqli_stmt = $mysqli->prepare($sql_stmt); Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Exception' with message 'INSERT INTO "t_sr_u_Product"("c_u_Name", "c_u_Code", "c_u_TickerDigest") VALUES (?, ?, "xxx"): prepare statement failed: Unknown column 'xxx' in 'field list'' in P:\StarRise\SandBox\GateKeeper\Rise\srIProduct.php on line 18 I'm hopeful what's going wrong is fairly simple, since I'm almost completely ignorant about SQL.

  • Android: Associating Browser to File Type in App

    - by tekmunki
    I'm attempting to write a simple app that associates a file type to the browser; this is assuming the browser will open the file locally... If this doesn't work, the local file - editor will be fine. I have an option of auto-mailing .ELC files from a custom app, they are basically html formatted TEXT or TXT only files; I would like to associate the .elc extension so that it will open direct from mail rather than just "Save to SD Card" as a mail option. Here's the code I'm at right now; AndroidManifest.xml: ELCViewer.java: package com.tekmunki.ELCViewer; import android.app.Activity; import android.os.Bundle; import android.widget.TextView; public class ELCViewer extends Activity { /** Called when the activity is first created. */ @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); TextView tv = new TextView(this); tv.setText("ELC Viewer Installed! Now, when you receive the ELC files, they will open in the browser."); setContentView(tv); } } 1) How do I make the browser associated with the ELCViewer Activity? (Do I need to make a second activity, or can that all be done in the manifest?) 2) How do I make it persist after the app has been ran once?

  • Android: Having trouble getting html from webpage

    - by Kyle
    Hi, I'm writing an android application that is supposed to get the html from a php page and use the parsed data from thepage. I've searched for this issue on here, and ended up using some code from an example another poster put up. Here is my code so far: HttpClient client = new DefaultHttpClient(); HttpGet request = new HttpGet(url); try { Log.d("first","first"); HttpResponse response = client.execute(request); String html = ""; Log.d("second","second"); InputStream in = response.getEntity().getContent(); Log.d("third","third"); BufferedReader reader = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(in)); Log.d("fourth","fourth"); StringBuilder str = new StringBuilder(); String line = null; Log.d("fifth","fifth"); while((line = reader.readLine()) != null) { Log.d("request line",line); } in.close(); } catch (ClientProtocolException e) { } catch (IOException e) { // TODO Auto-generated catch block Log.d("error", "error"); } Log.d("end","end"); } Like I said before, the url is a php page. Whenever I run this code, it prints out the first first message, but then prints out the error error message and then finally the end end message. I've tried modifying the headers, but I've had no luck with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks!

  • Javascript inheritance: call super-constructor or use prototype chain?

    - by Jeremy S.
    Hi folks, quite recently I read about javascript call usage in MDC https://developer.mozilla.org/en/JavaScript/Reference/Global_Objects/Function/call one linke of the example shown below, I still don't understand. Why are they using inheritance here like this Prod_dept.prototype = new Product(); is this necessary? Because there is a call to the super-constructor in Prod_dept() anyway, like this Product.call is this just out of common behaviour? When is it better to use call for the super-constructor or use the prototype chain? function Product(name, value){ this.name = name; if(value >= 1000) this.value = 999; else this.value = value; } function Prod_dept(name, value, dept){ this.dept = dept; Product.call(this, name, value); } Prod_dept.prototype = new Product(); // since 5 is less than 1000, value is set cheese = new Prod_dept("feta", 5, "food"); // since 5000 is above 1000, value will be 999 car = new Prod_dept("honda", 5000, "auto"); Thanks for making things clearer

  • Doxygen including methods twice doc files

    - by Maarek
    I'm having this issue where doxygen is adding the method twice in the documentation file. Is there a setting that stops auto-generation of documentation for methods within the .m file. For example in the documentation I'll see something like whats below where the first definition of + (Status *)registerUser is from the header XXXXXX.h file where the second is from XXXXXX.m. Header documentation : /** @brief Test Yada Yada @return <#(description)#> */ + (Status *)registerUser; Output: + (Status *) registerUser Test Yada Yada. Returns: <#(description)#> + (Status *) registerUser <#(brief description)#> <#(comprehensive description)#> registerUser Returns: <#(description)#> Definition at line 24 of file XXXXXX.m. • Simple JPG/HTML Not Showing Up in iPhone

    - by Jascha
    I'm not familiar with iPhones wants and needs, nor do I have one, but a client wants a screen cap of his site to show up when an iPhone user comes around so I created an .htaccess redirect to an iPhone specific page with this bit of code... RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} iPhone RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/iPhone/ RewriteRule .* /iPhone/ [R] And the html of the iPhone page... <html> <head> <title>Eatamadedia</title> </head> <body style="background-color:#858384;margin:0 auto;"> <img src="../images/iPhonePage.jpg"> </body> </html> The page redirects just fine, but the .jpg doesn't show up. I can't imagine a simpler page. Anyone know what could be preventing the image from displaying? Does the iPhone require headers? The site in question is http://eatamedida.com Thank you in advance for your input. -J

  • WPF: How do I bind a Control to a formula composed of several dependency properties?

    - by Pablo
    Hi all, I'm working on Expression Blend and I'm currently designing a custom control which has a Grid with 5 rows inside, and also has two Dependency properties: "Value", and "Maximum". Three of the rows have fixed height, and what I'm trying to do is set the remaining rows height to "Value/Maximum" and "1-Value/Maximum" respectively. How do I go and do that? When I set the height to "Value" it seems to react, but when I go and set it to "Value/Maximum" it stops working. I'm still a bit new around WPF, so there must be another way to achieve what I'm intending, but after searching I couln't find my problem elsewhere. Code: <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot" Width="Auto" Background="Transparent"> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="32"/> <RowDefinition Height="{Binding Path=(Value/Maximum), ElementName=UserControl, Mode=Default}"/> <RowDefinition Height="16"/> <RowDefinition Height="{Binding Path=(1-Value/Maximum), ElementName=UserControl, Mode=Default}"/> <RowDefinition Height="32"/> </Grid.RowDefinitions> (...) By the way, Value is always a not negative double less than or equal to Maximum; so the result of the division will be number between 0.0 a 1.0. I want a "star" instead of "pixel" row height.

  • Contacts & Autocomplete

    - by Vince
    First post. I'm new to android and programming in general. What I'm attempting to is to have an autocomplete text box pop up with auto complete names from the contact list. IE, if they type in "john" it will say "John Smith" or any john in their contacts. The code is basic, I pulled it from a few tutorials. private void autoCompleteBox() { ContentResolver cr = getContentResolver(); Uri contacts = Uri.parse("content://contacts/people"); Cursor managedCursor1 = cr.query(contacts, null, null, null, null); if (managedCursor1.moveToFirst()) { String contactname; String cphoneNumber; int nameColumn = managedCursor1.getColumnIndex("name"); int phoneColumn = managedCursor1.getColumnIndex("number"); Log.d("int Name", Integer.toString(nameColumn)); Log.d("int Number", Integer.toString(phoneColumn)); do { // Get the field values contactname = managedCursor1.getString(nameColumn); cphoneNumber = managedCursor1.getString(phoneColumn); if ((contactname != " " || contactname != null) && (cphoneNumber != " " || cphoneNumber != null)) { c_Name.add(contactname); c_Number.add(cphoneNumber); Toast.makeText(this, contactname, Toast.LENGTH_SHORT) .show(); } } while (managedCursor1.moveToNext()); } name_Val = (String[]) c_Name.toArray(new String[c_Name.size()]); phone_Val = (String[]) c_Number.toArray(new String[c_Name.size()]); ArrayAdapter<String> adapter = new ArrayAdapter<String>(this, android.R.layout.simple_dropdown_item_1line, name_Val); personName.setAdapter(adapter); } personName is my autocompletetextbox. So it actually works when I use it in the emulator (4.2) with manually entered contacts through the people app, but when I use it on my device, it will not pop up with any names. I'm sure it's something ridiculous but I've tried to find the answer and I'm getting nowhere. Can't learn if I don't ask.

  • How-to diagnose and fix such "on-site" crash of dotnet application?

    - by Dmitriy Matveev
    Hello! I'm working on some application which has auto-update function. The implemented idea is simple as following: - There are some "starter" application which is installed to "Program Files/whatever/...". It's the application which is intended to be started by user. - Each time the "starter" application is executed it checks server for updates and downloads it to "%APPDATA%/some/...". And then it starts some application from that folder. Above approach is working on my development machine (running Vista) and on some other machines under XP, but under some different machine (running Windows 7) it isn't working. When "starter" executes the real application it crashes with some unknown problem (Signature = System.UnauthorizedAccess). When real application is executed manually from %APPDATA%/some/ folder then everything is working fine. I've tried to set same working directory in ProcessStartInfo, so "starter" will also execute real application in that folder, but this isn't helped me. How can I diagnose and/or fix that issue?

  • symfony + doctrine + inheritance, how to make them work?

    - by imac
    I am beginning to work with Symfony, I've found some documentation about inheritance. But also found this discouraging article, which make me doubt if Doctrine handles inheritance any good at all... Has anyone find a smart solution for inheritance in Symfony+Doctrine? As an example, I have already structured the database something like this: CREATE TABLE `poster` ( `poster_id` int(11) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, `user_name` varchar(50) NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (`poster_id`), UNIQUE KEY `id` (`poster_id`), ) ENGINE=InnoDB AUTO_INCREMENT=3 DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1; CREATE TABLE `user` ( `user_id` int(11) NOT NULL, `real_name` varchar(50) DEFAULT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (`user_id`), UNIQUE KEY `user_id` (`user_id`), CONSTRAINT `user_fk` FOREIGN KEY (`user_id`) REFERENCES `poster` (`poster_id`) ) ENGINE=InnoDB DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1; From that, Doctrine generated this "schema.yml": Poster: connection: doctrine tableName: poster columns: poster_id: type: integer(4) fixed: false unsigned: false primary: true autoincrement: true user_name: type: string(50) fixed: false unsigned: false primary: false notnull: true autoincrement: false relations: Post: local: poster_id foreign: poster_id type: many User: local: poster_id foreign: user_id type: many Version: local: poster_id foreign: poster_id type: many User: connection: doctrine tableName: user columns: user_id: type: integer(4) fixed: false unsigned: false primary: true autoincrement: false real_name: type: string(50) fixed: false unsigned: false primary: false notnull: false autoincrement: false relations: Poster: local: user_id foreign: poster_id type: one User creation for this structure with Doctrine auto-generated forms does not work. As far as i know Int as a PK on SQL Server more performanced than strings. And Int is easier to iterate. Also, for security purpose if i need to pass this it id somewhere in url i may encrypt it somehow and pass it like a strings with no probs. But if i want to use auto generated Guid on SQL Server side using EF 4.0 i need to do this trick http://leedumond.com/blog/using-a-guid-as-an-entitykey-in-entity-framework-4/ I can't see any cases why i should use Guid as PK, may be only one if system going to have millions ans millions users, but also, theoretically, Guid could be duplicated sometime isn't so? Anyway Int32 size is 2,147.483.647 it is pretty much even for very-very big system, but if this number is still not enough I may go with Int64, in that cases I may have 9,223.372.036.854.775.807 rows. Pretty much huh? From another hand, M$ using Guids as PK in their ASPNetMembership implementation. [aspnetdb].[aspnet_Users] - PK UserId Type uniqueidentifier, should be some reasons/explanation why the did it?! May be some one has any ideas/experience about that?

  • iPhone SDK: problem managing orientation with multiple view controllers.

    - by Tom
    I'm trying to build an iPhone application that has two subviews in the main window. Each view has its own UIViewController subclass associated with it. Also, within each controller's implementation, I've added the following method: -(BOOL)shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation: (UIInterfaceOrientation)interfaceOrientation { return YES; } Thus, I would expect both of the views to respond to changes in orientation. However, this is not the case. Only the first view added to the app's main window responds to orientation. (If I swap the order the views are added, then only the other view responds. In other words, either will work--but only one at a time.) Why is this? Is it not possible to handle the orientation changes of more than one view? Thanks! EDIT: Someone else had this question, so I'm copying my solution here: I was able to address this issue by providing a root view and a root view controller with the method "shouldAutoRotate..." and adding my other views as subviews to the root view. The subviews inherit the auto-rotating behavior, and their associated view controllers shouldn't need to override "shouldAutoRotate..."

  • entity framework navigation property further filter without loading into memory

    - by cellik
    Hi, I've two entities with 1 to N relation in between. Let's say Books and Pages. Book has a navigation property as Pages. Book has BookId as an identifier and Page has an auto generated id and a scalar property named PageNo. LazyLoading is set to true. I've generated this using VS2010 & .net 4.0 and created a database from that. In the partial class of Book, I need a GetPage function like below public Page GetPage(int PageNumber) { //checking whether it exist etc are not included for simplicity return Pages.Where(p=>p.PageNo==PageNumber).First(); } This works. However, since Pages property in the Book is an EntityCollection it has to load all Pages of a book in memory in order to get the one page (this slows down the app when this function is hit for the first time for a given book). i.e. Framework does not merge the queries and run them at once. It loads the Pages in memory and then uses LINQ to objects to do the second part To overcome this I've changed the code as follows public Page GetPage(int PageNumber) { MyContainer container = new MyContainer(); return container.Pages.Where(p=>p.PageNo==PageNumber && p.Book.BookId==BookId).First(); } This works considerably faster however it doesn't take into account the pages that have not been serialized to the db. So, both options has its cons. Is there any trick in the framework to overcome this situation. This must be a common scenario where you don't want all of the objects of a Navigation property loaded in memory when you don't need them.

  • How to configure multiple mappings using FluentHibernate?

    - by chris.baglieri
    First time rocking it with NHibernate/Fluent so apologies in advance if this is a naive question. I have a set of Models I want to map. When I create my session factory I'm trying to do all mappings at once. I am not using auto-mapping (though I may if what I am trying to do ends up being more painful than it ought to be). The problem I am running into is that it seems only the top map is taking. Given the code snippet below and running a unit test that attempts to save 'bar', it fails and checking the logs I see NHibernate is trying to save a bar entity to the foo table. While I suspect it's my mappings it could be something else that I am simply overlooking. Code that creates the session factory (note I've also tried separate calls into .Mappings): Fluently.Configure().Database(MsSqlConfiguration.MsSql2008 .ConnectionString(c => c .Server(@"localhost\SQLEXPRESS") .Database("foo") .Username("foo") .Password("foo"))) .Mappings(m => { m.FluentMappings.AddFromAssemblyOf<FooMap>() .Conventions.Add(FluentNHibernate.Conventions.Helpers .Table.Is(x => "foos")); m.FluentMappings.AddFromAssemblyOf<BarMap>() .Conventions.Add(FluentNHibernate.Conventions.Helpers .Table.Is(x => "bars")); }) .BuildSessionFactory(); Unit test snippet: using (var session = Data.SessionHelper.SessionFactory.OpenSession()) { var bar = new Bar(); session.Save(bar); Assert.NotNull(bar.Id); }
